John has been my mechanic since I moved to Doraville in 1994. Never had another. Never needed another. No matter what side of Atlanta I move to I always go to John for my maintenance needs. Hes that reliable and trustworthy!

On my 2001 Nissan Altima (a mere 95K miles) I thought I needed a power steering pump since I spotted a leak on the garage floor and was thinking to spend many hundreds mostly for labor since it is a pain to replace. John diagnosed the real problem as an afflicted O-Ring on one of the connections and fixed it for much less than I expected to spend when I brought it in. As usual with John they are fair and honest in their dealings as they have been for years.

Pleasantdale Garage was recommended to me by a local resident who has trusted him for repair work for many years. John replaced my wheel hub assembly competently and on schedule. Although another shop had indicated that I should replace both sides, John drove it and found that only one side was defective. My cost ended up less than half of what I had previously been quoted, and the car drives great.

We’ve been using Pleasantdale Garage for years and have had a great experience every time. Most notable experience was when our AC went out. The dealership quoted us nearly $1000 to fix it. Took it to John and he found a wire came loose on the AC and simply had to replace the wire. And it cost us 5-10% of what the dealership quoted. We recommend without hesitation to everyone we meet that needs a mechanic.

I failed my emissions test on the 1st try because the codes said there was a leak. I took my car to one place that said it would cost $60 to do a smoke test and that repairs might be expensive. Other place said it would be $80 to do the smoke test. We finally took my car here and they checked everything for free!There were no problems with my car. After driving the car around for 20 miles,my car was ready for a retest and it passed. I am glad to have found this place and I trust to leave my car in the hands of such trustworthy technicians.
