We moved from Raleigh to Charlotte and got estimates from 4-5 companies. Jason was detailed oriented and responsive with his estimates. Beth was helpful in scheduling and following up after the first day of our move. Dedrick (crew leader), Greg, Bernard and Jeremiah loaded and unloaded us and couldnt have been better. Super positive attitude, careful with our belonging, arrived on time both days and completed the job earlier than expected. A super positive experience all round!

Dedrick Cooper and his crew, Chris, Greg and Bernard did a superior job moving us from Raleigh, NC to Lake Murray, SC. They were so efficient, professional, polite and just plain worked amazingly together as a team. Moving is NOT fun, but these guys really made is easier! We so appreciate all their efforts!!!

Contacted Armstrong for a 3 BR apartment move 10 miles away. Ben from sales was great and gave me a quote for 3 movers and 6 hours, and mentioned that our piano would be no problem. My moving coordinator was unresponsive by email and phone, but not a huge deal.On the day of the move, only 2 movers showed up and they told me they hadn’t been informed about the piano and didn’t have the right equipment to move it. Instead of getting our move done in 6 hours, it took nearly 10 hours. During this, I helped the movers and told them to cut corners because I wanted them to finish and they were gassed by the end.One of the movers told me that I would receive some compensation because of the screw up. When I called Armstrong later I was informed that my price was basically unchanged because it cost the same amount for Armstrong to work two of their staff into the ground for the additional time as it would have if they had sent 3 movers.You’d be better off buying your friends pizza and beers to help with your move than with Armstrong. There are much better options if you want a stress-free move.If you are reading this: treat your staff better.

A very professional, friendly, and hilarious duo (Joe and David) came and loaded our things into a PODS container, right on time. They worked quickly and took care to make sure everything was secure and padded well. We werent sure if everything would fit; when it did with room (and time) to spare, they were eager to help us find anything else they could load. They did everything they could to make the day less stressful. All around an awesome experience!

Best team of packers and movers. Had team of 4 packers who showed up ready to work. They were pleasant and professional. They packed the entire house in two days with nothing but positive energy. Team leader Nicole was amazing and thorough! The movers came, group of 4 men, Dedrick, Greg, Bernard and Jeremiah again nothing but positivity! Heard laughter most of the day. We have some VERY heavy furniture and they approached this with ease and proficiency! Same group of movers that loaded us unloaded as well! Again they covered floors and padded doorways before moving anything! They unloaded just as quickly as loaded! Showed exactly when they said they would! Not only took extreme care of our things but wouldn’t let us do a thing! Seeing how hard they worked while we sat there was the hardest for my husband and I. Talking to them and laughing with them through the day was awesome! I wish everyone was like them when you needed to hire someone! I typically do not write reviews because I wouldn’t have much to say… but this company and these 8 individuals that came into our lives to help a family going through a very difficult time deserve this praise!

United Van Lines set up an appt and we got a call the night before saying our representative could not make the appt they set because he had to pick up his daughter from her lifeguarding job. He gave me one day and time he could come out and do an in home estimate. I contacted him and left a message that said we could arrange to be home that day and time. We got no reply, no follow up and no interest in using this moving company. If this is how they treat potential customers, I wonder how they treat actual customers???

Our experience was very mixed. The customer service on the front end (scheduling, planning) and at the back end(responding to problems with the move) were actually very good. Those people were responsive and professional.Unfortunately the move itself turned into a nightmare. 3 individuals (the main guy and 2 helpers ) moved us out. One of the helpers spent a ridiculous amount of time using the bathroom (the other helper even remarked on this). That individual was responsible for disassembling 3 beds. Well he actually broke brackets off 1, lost pieces of the other 2 which we found out when they delivered everything 2 days later. And that guy never showed up for work for the delivery….neither of the other 2 guys (main guy and remaining helper) knew how to reassemble the beds. Plus one was broken and the others had pieces missing. My husband actually had to figure all of this out and help Gerry rig the beds back together. And we only had 2 movers all day which definitely extended the time paid for.I started unpacking while they were unloading and found several boxes with dishes and glasses absolutely smashed (not chipped or broken, smashed). Either those boxes were dropped or slammed or something. When I showed the main guy he said they didn’t do it and it wasn’t his responsibility.Finally the same guy said they couldn’t carry a tv credenza to the 2nd floor and when we said it had to go, they banged it up the stairs scratching a number of chairs. Not to mention that my teak dining room table top was dropped as was a section of my couch (dented the hardwoods). I knew this because of the loud bangs when they dropped those items.At the end of the move in day, the main guy was sullen and clearly angry, wanting me to sign off. I did ask for and get the chance to note some of the problems (even tho he said not his fault) with the dishes but he did not write up the property damage, saying I had to call the office for a separate document (this turned out not to be true).I then spent weeks cataloging damage and submitting claims. After some back and forth the claims people were quite reasonable and I did receive some reimbursement.Would I use Armstrong again? Unfortunately, no.

Probably the worst moving experience of my life (and Ive moved a lot!). Ben from sales was nice, but as others have said once they had our money the tone changed. It took multiple follow-ups to get answers to questions. Lots of promises to make things right, but zero follow through with actually doing so. Customer service from United itself was cable-company bad.Worst of all, our shipment was delivered a week+ late. Armstrong failed to notify us that our shipment would be late - we had to call them to find out there would be a week+ delay. When our shipment did arrive, it was in horrible condition with more than 50% of our boxes badly crushed, much of our furniture damaged, furniture filthy - and worst off all - blood on some of the boxes. (see photos) GROSS! They also used a smaller truck to deliver than promised and decided that after making two trips, they just werent going to deliver any more items. (leaving us rug-less)When it came time to pay up on their delay penalty, they shorted us by two days claiming that their failure to deliver a complete shipment on a properly sized truck as contracted. Avoid these guys - there are better, more honest options out there.

I called one day. I received the estimate that same day. They were ready to move before I was.They handled our family heirlooms like they would handle their own.Can not beat service like that!

We highly recommend Armstrong Relocation. They provided us with a great service this past week. From the beginning, everyone was very professional and prompt answering our questions. The manager Ben understands how stressful moving is and he did everything he could to make it an easy operation. The movers arrived on time and moved everything quickly and carefully. Both loading and unloading ( even the piano) seemed easy to them. The price was the best out of 3 local quotes we received. We will surely be using this company again in the future. Nobody likes moving but these guys made it so much easier. P.S. They offer free packing boxes.

I gave him authorization to physically inspect the goods at the storage facility before loading.Fragile goods (glass desk top, monitor, and a microwave) were repacked, wrapped with blankets and put in a box.Also, I would like to express my gratitude to Beth Ciamei for an excellent customer service. I was utterly disappointed by one of the two individuals who were tasked with packing and loading for an overseas move. There was no proper communication on the arrival time. We were given a window of 2 hours early in the morning but the movers showed up close to an hour outside of the window.To add to that, the same individual was unprofessional and rude in his reaction and response on many occasions. Despite setting expectations around wearing masks all the time, the same individual clearly didnt care enough and had ignored our request for the bulk of packing and moving time.He expected everything to be boxed and set aside in one place for him to put in big boxes and load - something that was not communicated upfront. The things to be shipped were in different rooms (segregated) and when my wife asked this one guy to start moving coherent items in one box, within 5 minutes he told her that he cant go from room to room to pick items, that she should have packed it all and kept outside. He said and I quote Lady, you are making my job very difficult here and simply walked out of the apartment.

Armstrong recently moved our furniture on an in-town move within Cary. Donna Williams was awesome to work with in terms of scheduling. Josh and his crew were great on the packing, loading and unloading. They were on-time, took great care to wrap each piece of furniture, kept to the agreed upon schedule and miraculously fit all of our furniture on the truck. They took great care both in our old home and new to protect the flooring before moving items and thought carefully about how to move furniture through tricky stairwells so as not to damage the walls. They are the most gracious and kind group of people. I underestimated my packing. . . they ended up having to call two more packers in to get the job done. I dont recommend doing what I did (take an extra day and have them pack), but they were so kind about it. They are worth every penny! I am so grateful to them.

The moving team was very nice & knew what they are doing . The estimate was reasonable - I recommend using a National company. I would like to give an outstanding review for the driver of our household good shipment, Timothy.Timothy was an exceptional communicator throughout our household goods moving experience. He arrived the day of loading the truck at the time he said he would and had a great team that loaded up the truck efficiently. He was courteous and professional with our family. He helped ease our anxieties when he communicated directly with us about the time he was planning to deliver the household goods.Timothys direct communication with us about when our goods would be delivered and then keeping us informed when things changed due to unforeseen events was incredibly appreciated and stands out as exceptional customer service. Although the delivery of goods was delayed 3 times due to unforeseen events, he called us each time to inform us of the change and gave us the chance to discuss the best time for our family to receive the goods. On the day that our goods were delivered, Timothy worked hard to go above and beyond to make sure our goods were treated with care and protected as best as he could. He was a delight to work with and helped alleviate some of the potential stresses that occur while in the moving process.

I rarely write reviews but our office was so pleased with the services and help of the Armstrong team that I wanted to share our experience. We were waiting to find out if our CO would be approved on the very day we were scheduled to move. They happily accommodated this hiccup and came prepared, arrived early which was perfect because we were ready! They moved our office furniture, supplies, glass boards and other items so quickly I was shocked how fast it was moving along. We also had this unique built-in that had to be removed and werent expecting it to be difficult to take out. Well, it required other tools and one of the techs happily came back the next day to remove it for us. The entire team was friendly, helpful, efficient and the price was right! I highly recommend them if you are looking for relocation services.

The easiest move Ive ever made! This was my first time using a moving company and it was a game changer. My calls were always answered, along with my numerous questions, and I didnt feel like they were annoyed/too busy to help me. I was able to pick up free used boxes from the warehouse, as many as I wanted. When the move date came, my driver called about 30 mins before they arrived and everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend this company!

My wife and I moved from Raleigh to Charlotte. In all our years of moving (about 10 times) this was THE BEST EVER!! The guys who packed us up in Raleigh and then unloaded the truck in Charlotte were amazing. They were helpful, professional and kind.

Today 2/27/2019 we moved for our 12th time. Armstrong was amazing, all the movers are real pros. I have never been so happy with a moving company. Roy, Alex and the other crew guys were truly the best I have ever used. Mary Ann and Bonnie in the office made the move easy. I was in a difficult spot because my new home was not ready. Bonnie and Mary Ann came up with the idea of leaving our belongings on the truck for a few days.All I can say, if you need to move and you want it done right Armstrong United is the company you need !!

We had a very good experience. The supervisor, Alex, was very accommodating and pleasant. The drivers (James and Cleveland) and movers were some of the hardest working people I have met -- even in the June heat and with both driveways being on hills.

BE AWARE ! They quoted us an amount and when the goods reached destination the company they use to continue the move will add up a huge amount absolutely a FRAUD. Probably the national move are ok but mine was international . Alex took responsibility to pay for the mess they made and now he disappeared and they are telling us to pay . Also my outdoor furniture and cushions arrived completely unpacked they never packed it it was brand new . I could not belive it . Also yes Ben was nice but the moment they get the $$$$ that’s it ! They don’t CARE ! AVOID THEM

We had packers from this company come to our house. We had many items damaged and broken. Our kitchen drawers were pulled out off of the hinges and dumped into a box. Not one drawer, but TWO. When we asked them about it, they vehemently denied it. Our artwork was not wrapped and multiple pieces were scratched, the canvas, the frames, and the standout prints. We had a Swedish wooden star which was literally at the bottom of a tall wardrobe box under heavy garage items. No care was placed in packing our home. All of our lamps and shades were broken. The shades were not wrapped and dumped at the bottom of boxes. Our marble coffee table was dropped on the ground and broken in 3 places. Not everything has been unpacked yet, so I am certain there are more. If you would like your items DUMPED into boxes then hire this company. We had a terrible experience and I would highly caution you against using this company.

I am fuming blood boiling I am so angry. I just moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina and at first I was ok with them moving my things because they seemed to know what they were doing. They have no clue. I am crying writing this after I opened my boxes all my things they “packed”were damaged. A little wear and tear from any move is to be expected. but, this is something else. There was a broken bed frame. All the cloths they assured me would not be severely wrinkled and mishandled I have to get dry cleaned again about $2000 worth at least. My lamps that were literally brand new had damaged lamp shades, warped, bent, or broken beyond repair. These are just to name a few things I found. I have to replace all these things out of my own pocket. I would not spit on these people if they were on Fire. Horrible packing and more expensive than their competitors. I do not recommend. Do not let them touch your things.

Just did a cross-country move from Raleigh to St Lake City. From the estimate through coordination, loading and delivery nothing could have been better. After the move they were responsive with answering questions. To a person everyone exhibited the best in customer service.I had a terrible experience with my last move 2 .5 years ago, lots of damaged goods, people not very caring about my possessions. Wish I had had Armstrong then.

We were relocated a year ago and I am still finding that they have lost more stuff than I ever thought. Never again will I ever depend on a moving company. It was Christmas and fall stuff besides kitchen stuff and broke one of my antique dining room chairs as well as busting my mothers antique hope chest. My husband was able to fix the hope chest and I had the chair repaired but I’m still finding I’m missing things. They have ruined the chances of ever getting our business again. They did reimburse me for a few things but now it’s to late to to ever get anything for my stuff. Besides some of it is stuff I’ll never find again. Thanks for the heartache and dissatisfaction Armstrong!!!
