Best time of my undergrad and time in East Lansing. A coffee shop like not other. Their coffee drinks are well-made. Always tasty. Their indoor vibes go along with work environment and social events. Perfect for any occasion.Staff are very friendly and welcoming!

Had a tough time ordering because I have a weak voice due to having COVID in 2020. The person who took my order told the other worker that he couldnt hear anything that I was saying after he finally got my order right, about only 1 foot away from me. Very rude. Kinda regret giving a $1 tip.

The chai latte was delicious and the service was fast and attentive. Also, the open mic that is running on Thursdays was spectacular. So much talent in that coffee shop tonight. Full of support and transparency. I will most certainly be back for more.

Second location for Blue Owl, just as beautiful as the first! Coffee is perfection. I really enjoy the vibe at these locations. The snacks are always good and are a perfect match for all the delicious brewed coffees and teas. The nitro coffees are really good. The flavorings in the lattes are delicious! Pure essence. I really enjoyed the peanut butter blossom. Love their commitment to artists and the art world. if youre looking for a great late night coffee shop, look no further. Youre here!

Blue Owl has a really cool space in East Lansing. I love the counter, which is made from old suitcases and travel trunks! Great coffee and ambiance. It is also conveniently located near basically everything downtown. Great place!

Love the Iced Mocha with oatmilk and Lavender! This is a great environment to meet up with friends or have a coffee date! I remember when Open Mic was held here, as the number 1 best beatboxer in Michigan its hard to find platforms to perform in person for.

Very clean coffee with with good atmosphere. I get simple black coffee but the taste is flavorful.Staff was very friendly, there is another space they have across from side entrance.It would be a good little place to go for meet ups but not a place to go for peace and quiet.

Prices where about what you would expect for a coffee shop. The presentation on the latte I ordered was great staff where good as well. There was a DJ that had some pretty good beats as well. Unfortunately I didnt much care for the quality or taste of my drink. The lobby was also quite chilly which made us not want to stick around long.

This place is really cute and their new location in East Lansing is awesome. The coffee here is not my favorite. I havent had a cup here and thought that it was one of the best that Ive had. Its okay coffee with a nice staff and nice people watching location.

Dangerous place to get a cup of coffee. While there are signs on the door indicating that masks are required, inside, people are sitting there (without food or drink!) just chatting away, sans masks. This is the most irresponsible place in downtown East Lansing to get coffee. They clearly have no regard for public safety---if they enforce the mask policy, customers go away; if they dont enforce, lives go away. I guess Blue Owl has made their choice!

Extremely knowledgeable about their coffee, but without the snobbery Ive experienced at other high quality coffee shops! They were happy to give a brief description of the options about my order and even more happy to go into further detail when asked. They never talked down to me and helped me learn something new about coffee! Would highly recommend this place to someone for a small meeting or just catching up with a friend; great atmosphere.

I love coffee mocktails, especially the Moscow Mule. I love the eclectic decorating style inside and that they feature artists work. Reminds me of the locally owned coffee shops downtown Savannah, GA, but uniquely Michigan.

Blue Owl is great. Their team genuinely loves what they do and desires to get to know their customers (even though they always have a ton of people coming through). Great coffee. Great environment. Great location (especially once the Center City District finishes up construction in a couple months).

I like this cafe so much. It is ALWAYS busy. Every time I go there, day or night, weekday or weekend, every single table is taken and the place is just absolutely packed. I have had to turn back several times already simply because there is nowhere to sit. It’s a shame because I like the coffee and bagels and cookies at this place so much. Good for them for doing good business. I get frustrated when I walk all the way over there to find no seats anywhere.

Love the setting, best look for a local coffee house. Contemporary and fun. Unusual coffee drink options with good coffee. Very friendly baristas, who take accurate orders and make good hot coffee. I cant believe that is a thing I have to say, but I have been places where thats not the case. I would give 5 stars if it werent so crowded at high times.

This new location has great seating and nice staff! The coffee is delicious, but I wish there were some vegan food options, even it was just some kind of granola/energy bar. However, I think this will be a good place to study/hang out even if its a bit farther from campus!

I go to Blue Owl about two or three times a week. My friends and I use the space for creativity and writing, and Blue Owl serves as a high quality space for this exact kind of work.I don’t frequent many coffee shops, so I didn’t know what to get the first time I came in. When Terrence (my fave Blue Owl employee) heard me saying I had no idea what I wanted, he offered to surprise me. After asking what flavors I liked, he made me a brown sugar latte, and I’ve ordered it every time since!We’ve spent upwards of 6 hours there every time we go, as there doesn’t often seem to be a viable reason to leave! The back private room is often available to us, and the environment is relaxing and inspiring to us, with all of its plants and natural lighting.We love every minute we spend here.

Ive been going here for a long time that It feels like going back home. Coffee is really good and consistent. Not to mention the Blue Howler is the best nitro youll ever have! If you need good stuff ask Tyler to surprise you. You wont be disappointed!

The coffee here can be very inventive, which is fun, and the atmosphere is breezy. My friends and I lost our favorite coffee place, so well be going here from now on.

Excellent espresso and cool mugs to sit inhouse and sip to your hearts delight. Cool venue with industrial design garage door opeing a wall to the downtown atmosphere. Plenty of space and tables. Relaxing yet right in the heart of the city.

I went to blue owl and my coffee experience was below average . I was disappointed with the latte art, there wasn’t any for my drink or other customers since I was sitting at the bar. The baristas had no clue what they were doing. They were spilling coffee everywhere. All of the coffees were overflowing. When you go to a coffee shop you expect the workers to have finesse and I feel like that was lacking. I never had a problem at the other locations.

Nice alternative to Starbucks, right between Hopcats and El Azteco. Across from Pinball Petes. Place has a garage door they can open in the summer. Only thing missing is a couple comfortable leather couches.

Best coffee and ambiance close to campus.

Stopped in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. They have a rotating selection of beans from different roasters. There were a few options for brewed coffee and several more for pour overs. I got a pour over made with Mad Cap coffee. The beans were weighed and ground fresh before me. They have a machine that does the pour over. I was a bit skeptical as there is something in the art of a barista pouring the water, but honestly it is the best pour over I have had. I asked about their nitro coffees and the the barista offered a taste of what was on tap. The wake the dead was excellent as was the neopolitan flavor. I will definitely be back to this coffee shop.
