Called on a Monday to request a quote for work I needed to be done. I was told I would receive a call back. They never called. I still needed the work done, so I called back that Friday. An operator answered the phone and after I explained to her what happened, she stated that the El Paso office should be open. She transferred me to their office and no one ever answered the phone. Not sure how these guys stay in business.

I reached out to Caldwell to help install a higher voltage door bell. I wasnt exactly sure what I was looking for, my secure system provider simply told me that the door bell we had wasnt conducive to the security system we wanted. I also know nothing about electrical work. All that to say, the secretary and gentleman who helped me schedule the appointment were patient and helpful with helping me figure out what I needed. They were very busy but were able to squeeze in a consultation in just a few days, calling to verify the appointment prior. Two very friendly men looked at everything I had and the requests from our security provider and gave me suggestions and options depending upon how much time I wanted to spend purchasing product myself or how much money I wanted to spend. I appreciated the transparency. The same two men came back a week later and installed everything I needed. If i need more work done, Ill be calling Caldwell.

Caldwell Electrical did the whole low voltage installation in my house. everything from security cameras to cat 5 outlets to Alexa and TV and sound system installation. It was a lot of work and at the end everything is working smoothly as I imagined. Tim and Andy did a great job. If you are looking for a reliable system which is a little off the normal you need to talk to Tim about it.

OMG I am so happy with my smart home technology! I never thought I could have all these options and new technologies in my house. The security system allows a peace of mind and sense of security whether we’re home or not. I’ve had electrical work done at my house from Caldwell Electrical before but didn’t know they also specialize in security, audio and visual! My lights come on automatically and turn off automatically or I can also use those functions from my mobile devise. Love it!!! Thank you Caldwell!!

I was quoted a job that would take ten hours at the most. We needed two things 1) create a setup that allows us to project image from 2 computers to tv screen alternately and 2) hook up our existing fax line to an existing phone plate with out digital phone service. We later added the phone line request which should have only taken an hour or two (we later hired someone and it took him an hour). The first invoice charged us for more hours than they were actually there (11.5). They never showed up on the date they said they would for the additional phone line. After getting a bill for 17 1/2 hours for the original job, the projection onto a tv screen we had asked for, was not even working. Angel their tech guy told us we were not going to be able to get what we wanted. We ended up looking it up on line and muddling through projecting an image ourselves. Also, somehow they changed one line which i didnt want changed to the other number, and they never did get the phone lines working right. Their guys were trying to hook them up from the AT&T box in the back yard and I told them they needed to work with the router box that held the digital lines, but they spent hours working in the wrong area. I sent a detailed email to Mr. Caldwell who had billed me for 17.5 hours of which I had paid for 12, and he conceded I should pay for what I thought was fair. Considering they still didnt have it working and the estimated time frame wa 12 hour at the most, I thought this was fair, thinking they would make it work still. They never could make the phone lines work. The guy I hired afterwards worked from the digital AT&T box that was in the house, as I had told Caldwell employees, and fixed it all in one hour. I explained to Mr. Caldwell on the phone that he should actually reimburse me the phone charge I paid (2 hours) since his guys actually made it worse rather than give me what I wanted. He told me he would get back to me, and never did. This was 9 months ago and I have never heard from them since. This is really an overpriced company for what you get.

From my electrical work outside (lighting and sound )to my home viewing and sound equipment inside, I won’t trust anyone else. Going with the Sonos system through my home has changed our whole listening experience. Upgrading our electronic equipment was effortless and seemless, I wish we had done it sooner. They do not just install and abandon you once the job is complete, they are quick and courteous when responding to troubleshooting or add ons. Honest, skilled, dependable and friendly contacting service is a rare gem and I’m a loyal client, I will not go anywhere else.

Called them in to fix my broken light bulb, the guy came on time, finished the job in 15 minutes and left, everything was professionaly done and affordable on top.
