Id used another company to replace my phone screen before and just wasnt impressed, nor did I feel like the employees deserved my trust.I looked further away from home and found Mobile Trader Elgin. Since its a 50 minute drive one way, I was pretty desperate. I was so very, very impressed with their website clarity and how easy it was to set up an appointment on their website. And even better, I knew exactly how much the session was going to cost and that I had a reserved time that it would definitely be done by.The man who greeted me and took my phone was very kind and polite. He quickly explained (without being condescending) what steps he would take to repair my phone and the possible consequences (my home button no longer worked and would lose the Touch ID function if he had to replace the button).After a little over an hour, I received an email that my phone couldnt be repaired. When I went to pick up my phone, he apologized for how long he had taken and that the phone wasnt repairable. Then he explained why the phone couldnt be repaired (its something to do with a fault in the software, not a hardware issue). He did not charge me for the session.I have never been so at ease in a 3rd party repair store. Their pricing is beyond competitive and fair. The employee I spoke with was courteous beyond measure. Even though they couldnt resolve my problem this time, I will definitely be going back if I ever have any other issues with my phone.

I thought this place was great; definitely worth finding! I had an appointment elsewhere and couldnt wait an hour at the store to get my cracked screen on an I6 replaced, so I left my phone with them. I figured Id have to be without a phone for a couple of hours until I could get back and pick up my phone.Instead, I was offered a loaner phone, which they put my sim card into. They also set me up with a car charger, since this was not an IPhone.When I came back, several hours later, my phone was ready to go!

The fixed my IPhone 8 Plus the back of the phone was cracked. Very affordable price and quick.

To start off and save everyone time and money... avoid this place at all cost. First off the owner is very ignorant and always gives false information about phone updates and always tries to rush you out of the store. I went to go buy a s5 and he offered the phone for 200 and said that was his best price. I bought the phone and sure enough I was having problems with the phone, and I went to go see the owner and had my receipt but he didnt even bother to look at my proof of purchase. So whats the point of giving a receipt? He offered an exchange but the s5 he offered was in crappy condition with outdated software and he tells me that 4.2 is the best software out there? Obviously thats a lie of course cause I know my phones. Anyways my phone was having problems again and I went back to tell him about the problem and he started accusing me that I was trying to rip him off even though I had my receipt. Instead of offering me another exchange he basically was trying to resell me a s5 for 150 when I already paid 200 and complained to him about the situation. Either way take my advice or dont take it. The owner is rude and rips you off. Save your time and money and go to other places that have better polices and better customer service. All hes gonna offer you is to fix your phone and finds all these ways to get more money out of you.

Ben was AWESOME in keeping me updated on my Samsung S8 FRP challenge. He ran into some challenges with the software communication between Samsung and your office, but he kept me in the loop on the timing and what Samsung was trying to accomplish. He DID NOT GIVE UP until he and Samsung came up with a solution. Although the Samsung authorization was not as smooth as it maybe should be for both your team and the customers experience, Ben kept working through everything until they pinpointed a solution and got my phone unlocked. I could tell Ben held MY best interest in getting my phone unlocked at heart. Ben is truly a GREAT customer service advocate, and service is NEVER a negotiable. If I ever run into any technical issue, I will bring that item to this store to receive that same level of service. Oh, and Ben even gave me an update on some new safety products to look out for in the near future that I will make sure to come back and shop/buy in a few months. THANK YOU to Ben for getting me back up to speed on my S8. All THAT without Ben even telling to fill out this survey, which tells me Ben is genuine in his service. BEN=ROCK STAR!!!

I busted my iPad screen, as well as both cameras, or so I thought. The staff got the screen replaced, and had to replace the forward facing camera, but were able to reset something on the selfie camera and got it working, saving me money on that camera even though I assumed it would have to be replaced. Thanks for the honesty! Youve earned a reapeat customer because of it!! Also we are going out of country for vacations so we were searching for iphones and we saw they also sell used and new phones so we bought couple of apple iphones caz the owner give us a very good deals they were brand new unlocked for very reasonable prices as cheap as $$$.... I havent used them for phone updates or whatever the other reviewer was having issues with, but they sure beat the price of the other iPhone cracked screen repair services I called.Ive had my phone for 2 years and never dropped it until a month ago. I shattered the whole thing. I talked to Ben and he price matched another place I found online. It took him about 5 minutes to replace it and hand me back my shiny newish looking Iphone.He also suggested a glass screen cover and figured why not? I got a good deal on the screen repair so I felt like I could splurge on a cover. The dude must be psychic because 3 weeks later it fell out of my pocket while I was in my basement, on a ladder, shaking my fists wildly at my Comcast cable modem. It landed on my basement floor but the only thing that shattered was the screen protector. Went back and got another.Something must be in the air, because my wife just smashed her screen too. They fixed it for the same price so theyre my go to guys at least for screen repair.While I was there they were able to unlock a ladys phone- she tried other places and verizon store was going to charge her a ton, plus she would have to mail it in.
