As expected my vehicle is provided the servic it needs at the time of my appointment. The mechanics are expeditious and ensure attention to detail. What I really liked was the information provided via email on the health of my vehicle and the recommendations. I would recommend TLC to anyone. They were also nice enough to change my windshield wipers for me. Note: I purchased the wipers somewhere else.

Tire Lube and Car Care is hands down the best quality and customer service around. We were in town from out of state and our rental car had a tire leak on a Saturday morning. Michael was able to fit us in and get us out very quickly and back on our way. On top of the quick service their facility is one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen and their entire staff was kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable. We can not thank you guys enough for turning a not so great circumstance into no big deal.

I was very pleased with the service that I received at Tire, Lube, and Car Care. When I got there at my scheduled appointment, the technician drove my car immediately in the service area and began service on the replacing of my tire. My wait period there was under an hour. The waiting area was very comfortable and clean. The technician drove my car to the front door and gave me my keys when he was finished. I felt valued as a customer. They answered all of my questions with patience and clarity. I would certainly recommend this company if you need this type of service.

I drove 1hr to get a safety inspection from here. The staff here are so friendly and kind. Inspection was very cheap and they finished quick. I was so tired I even fell asleep in there very clean waiting room, plus they have a recliner so you can nap while you wait. I definitely recommend.

I had a tire mishap 300 miles from home and was towed in, they were able to fit me in and get me back on the road in an hour. Everyone was friendly and efficient with their work. There were a couple of small issues with my service, but I was contacted directly after and the owner apologized and took care of everything. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone passing through, or even the locals! I appreciate every step these guys took to take care of my car and am happy with the service.

This was my first time here, and I wont be going anywhere else in Elizabeth City for my car needs. The staff were friendly, and very knowledgeable. The entire facility was spacious, clean, and welcoming including the very relaxing waiting area. They serviced my car in a timely manner, and the total expense was less than other quotes I received from some other places in town. I am so happy I came across this place. Will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Tire, Lube and Car Care and I will DEFINITELY be back. I brought two vehicles in for inspection on two consecutive days. Both days the service was completed in a VERY timely manner and Michael, who I dealt with for both vehicles, was very friendly, polite and thorough. He went over the details of both inspections and allowed me the opportunity to ask questions, which he would have answered had I had any. We are relatively new to the area and still looking for preferred service providers, but I am definitely satisfied with this one and will definitely be back for our auto care needs.

I went there for a state inspection and they were phenomenal! In/out in less then 30 minutes. I had an appointment which helped with the process. The gentlemen working at the front were courteous as well.

Conveniently located, not a long wait to schedule maintenance, reasonable rates, outstanding customer service! Oh yeah, and its a family owned small business, which I love supporting. I received text updates and they were able to replace two tires unexpectedly without having to schedule another appointment for that service.

Excellent company, highest possible recommendation!! TLC Care got us in quickly for many in-depth maintenance and repair issues. All issues were resolved by the mid afternoon. One repair (resurfacing of warped brake rotors) was found to be impossible due to damage, so TLC replaced with new rotors without charging the extra costs, honoring their initial and lower quote. Great company and customer service!

I was on a six hour trip and three hours into it I ran over something in the road and popped the tire. (No insurance and no warranty on that whole situation.) As a woman of color out here all by herself I was scared to call for help because sometimes help can turn out to be a danger. But I had no options other to google nearby shops, and this one had the top rating. And I see why. My knights in shining armor (the driver and his wife). They were friendly, I felt safe, and they made sure I was gonna be ok. He didn’t have a tire for me but for a very reasonable cost I was able to get a tow to a fast and friendly place that had my tire replaced in MINUTES. Needless to say I made it back on the road and to my destination safely.

Took my car in for alignment although they were $20 more than most places they could do it that day other places were booked for days. They told me to drop it off and they would call me when done so I made arrangements for a ride. It was ready within an hour. Just wish they would given me a more accurate time so I could of just waited instead of getting someone to follow me and bring me back to pick it up.

My mom and I have been loyal customers of TLC for roughly 5 years now! We come an hour away just for them to service our multiple cars - both old and new - they have never disappointed. The personnel were very friendly and efficient. I had my 2019 Toyota inspected and it took all of about 20 minutes. Will definitely go there again.

I took my car to Tire, Lube, and Car Care this past week after hearing a scrubbing sound from my brakes. The technician gave me an estimate that ranged from over 1,500 to over 2,200. I knew there couldnt be that much wrong with my car so I picked it up (after being charged 37.50 to get my key back) and took it to a garage in Hertford. After that garage had my vehicle for an afternoon they called and said that it was ready. My bill was less than 130.00!!!.

Phenomenal crew here at TLC. They work hard and from what Ive seen, their customer service is out of this world. From how they interact with their customers, to their waiting room, to their bathrooms; everything about this place is catered to give their customers the best experience possible.

I came for an inspection and remembered I needed a oil change. They were able to do that as well! My appointment was at 11 and I was out 12-12:30. This place is very clean for a shop and the restrooms as well very homely.

Each time I go into TLC I’m impressed with the professionalism of all of the staff from the associates up front to each of the mechanics. They usually get you in and out pretty quick, and are willing to answer any questions. The thing I appreciate most though, is they do the job they say they’re going to do, and they don’t give you a huge list of everything that is “wrong” with the vehicle. Thanks TLC, for several positive experiences.

I couldn’t NOT recommend this place enough. I brought my car in for oil change, front brake pads and a tire rotation. They had trouble getting my lugnuts off and ended up charging me almost $900. I thought ok they worked on it a while but it shouldn’t have taken that long, they drilled them out instead of just snapping them off, beating them out and replacing, it would have been faster, easier and saved me hundreds. Then my car broke down and I mistakenly had it towed there, $135 just to run diagnostics and they wanted to charge over $650 to replace one spark plug and coil, almost $1000 if they did all 6. Turns out they have no set rate and charge what they feel and quoted me almost $150/hr. I ended up sending it to Hudson and sons instead, with the $80 tow, $35 diagnostics and replacing all 6 spark plugs and a coil it was $517. They didn’t try to sell me anything else or charge me any secret fees. Will definitely be using them as my regular mechanics now on, will never recommend TLC, not even for an oil change.

I dropped my vehicle off for an annual inspection, and despite a busy schedule they were able to work it in fairly quickly. Each member of staff I had interaction with were excellent. Highly recommended!

I went in for an inspection for my motorcycle, my experience was quick and easy. I was informed that they can mount 35 inch mud tires so Ill be back.

I’ve had my inspection done hear a few years in a row now. They are always very well organized, have appointments available in a reasonable amount of time, and do great work when I need something done. Very kind and patient, willing to explain if I have questions, not patronizing about it. Plus their waiting area is clean and comfortable which is a plus.

GREAT SERVICE! I came here looking for the closest auto shop that does NC Car Inspections, since I’m stationed at Fort Eustis, VA. It was only an hour and a half drive for me. The employees are very welcoming, professional and polite. The service was fast and proficient. I am very satisfied. The restrooms are super clean and spotless. Highly recommend this place.

Great guys, good service, very attentive, etc.. my mother is in her late 70s & she really trust and rely on these guys, when it comes to her vehicle (with now over 200k miles), they look out for her & treat her well. I have also gone to them for a set of tires, several times for oil changes (theyve worked me in when in a jam, or overdue).. ** recently took Tahoe in for oil change, they not only noticed a nail in my tire (which I thought was observant), but they even repaired it @ no extra charge.

Michael and his team were prompt and very helpful. Appreciate their quick service and even though they didn’t have the tire I needed I got a quick reference on how to fix and they put on my spare for me. Great people, quality service!

Took my car there for 5 years to get annual inspection. This year it did not pass and they handed me an estimated bill of $800. So I took it to my own mechanic who told me there was nothing wrong other then the tires and it should pass. Changed my tires and had a personal friend take it to Biggs. Again, nothing wrong with it. TLC was trying to get over on me, perhaps because I am a women? Never going back.

Always good service for a good price. I have to hand it to the office staff for being able to deal with really irate individuals. I was waiting for two tires to be put on my car and just overheard a lady mouthing off and they stayed cool under pressure and handled it as best they could. These guys (and ladies) really do a good job and try to make everything right as best they can. Sometimes some vehicles need a little extra time to figure out where an issue is coming from and they were just trying to figure it out for the lady. Im a repeat customer and will continue to be a customer. Good job yall.

The service is horrible. The mechanics mis diagnosed my 2005 Impala. They charged me $400 to change the coil pack and it didnt fix the problem. I took it back and they said its the throttle motor sensor and charged me another $400. The car is still not fixed. They are not part of the better business bureau. They dont have certified technicians. Also theyre prices are way to high. Theyll never get my business again

Tire, Lube, and Car Care is an excellent business with fast service and very knowledgeable technicians. Their prices are always great and theyre always ready to help! I have been using their service for many years and they always are looking out for me and providing me with the knowledge and awareness I need to care for my vehicle properly. BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY. For starters a couple of weeks ago I had taken my car in to change a thermostat and was quoted $180.00. When they were finished they told me itd be $263.00. Why? Because they dont ask u before doing other things. A week later I noticed my low coolant sign was popping on as I drove so I walk into their shop and they say theres probably a leak somewhere. Funny cuz it didnt before they did any work to it. So I let them check it out and I can hear them say Oh, shes got a blown headgasket because I had some condensation around my oil cap. I marched in there and got my car and went to another mechanic. Turns out my PVC valve was bad which was a $20.00 fix compared to a blown head gasket fix which wouldve been a $1000 or more with those idiots. Not very professional and I dont think theyre BBB verified. Stay Far Far Away.

Needed some extensive work done to my vehicle. They were thorough, fast(considering it was estimated to be a 3 hr job), and cost efficient. Very honest which is nice to people who dont have much auto knowledge. I highly recommend.

What a great auto shop. I have come to them multiple times with car troubles I couldnt quite figure out myself. Within an hour or two the problem was correctly diagnosed, and vehicle ready for pickup when they said it would be.I would particularly like to mention the honest mechanics that work here.I requested a 4 wheel alignment in advance of a cross country drive I would be making, and they checked alignment for free, ultimately deciding it was within specifications. Thanks for saving me the $$, and retaining business in doing so.I hypothesized some driveline components may need replacing so requested u-joint replacement, they determined the current u-joints were fine and found the problem elsewhere.
