Oil changed quick and at s fair price

Brought in my older chevy truck because of pully/belt misalignment. They had it fixed in a few hours and hasnt had an issue since. Staff is nice and attentive to your repair needs and prices are really good compared to other shops in area.One of the better auto repair shops in ellensburg by far.

I locked my keys in a Suburu Forester at Snoqualmie Resort. The resort security were unable to unlock the car, due to the sturdy frame and tight door seal. AAA refused to send someone due to the winter storm and the 5 other lock-smiths we called were closed or scared of the snow. However, Kevin from D&M was willing an enthusiastic. Given the storm he made good time from Ellensburg and was able to unlock the car quickly! What a relief.

Sam and his team at D & M are true life savers.I was in town for work and my normally reliable car broke down. Definitely nerve wracking trying to find a solid mechanic in a new place. After checking reviews and getting a recommendation from some locals I had it towed to D & M.They were helpful, friendly and diagnosed the problem as the same issue my mechanic at home had suggested.They have a car rental available so I was able to rent a car with no hassle for around $60, keep working, all while getting necessary repairs done on my car.The price of my repair was extremely reasonable and in line with what my regular mechanic would have charged and maybe even less.Highly recommend!

This is not a rating reflecting the quality of work done but rather a rating of their carelessness. No masks were worn even when the woman was clearly sick. My steering wheel in the car was also twisted which I never do and my heat was set to 90 degrees and was not turned back. It was incredibly inconsiderate.

Fantastic local shop! While driving down the freeway, I noticed that my cars shroud was dragging. Concerned that I was out of luck because it was a Sunday, my parents helped me find an open place.Enter: D & M Motors & Towing. My mom had called to check if they were open, and Kevin promptly answered the phone. He said he was in the shop, available, and expecting me. Upon arrival, he immediately greeted me and began tending to my car.While inspecting it, he asked me questions about myself (pleasant reminders of my previous life growing up in a small town), and when he finished the minor job he didnt charge me at all! He just wanted me to know that D & M has been family-owned since 1963 and implored me to spread the word.If youre ever in Ellensburg with car needs, give them a call. We were heading on a camping trip, towing our RV & blew a tire alongside the freeway. Kevin was quick to arrive at the location & was extremely helpful, educational & very personable. He also checked the other tires on the trailer and was pleased to help us & we are so grateful he was able to come to our need.

Wow! Its hard for me to even know how to start this review....My family was headed east to Montana from Rochester, WA. About 60 minutes into our drive, our 7.3 diesel started bucking.We decided that at the very least we needed to get someone to throw a scope on it, and tell us what was going on so we could decide if we needed to turn around, rent a vehicle to continue our trip, or just push through and deal with the bucking. I called every mechanic from Covington to Ellensburg and no one could get us in.We decided that we would just rent a car in Ellensburg to finish our trip and pick the truck up on our way back, so I called and spoke to Kevin at Dollarwise car rental and told him what was going on. He started to ask questions about what our truck was doing, so I explained (although I was curious why a care rental placed even cared, I wanted to rent car).Low and behold, Kevin tells me that they also have a repair shop. He spoke with Sam (the scheduler for the repair shop), and they said theyd throw a scope on it for us and after we knew what was wrong, we could decide if we wanted to rent a car or press our luck.It was getting close to their closing time when we pulled in, and it was a Friday. Nonetheless, they did in fact put a scope on the truck and it threw 4 codes. 2 of those codes were related to issues that could leave us stranded. 1 of those 2 codes they had the part for, the other one they did not. For context, this was last weekend during Washington states snowmagedon and we had our 5 yr old son with us, we really couldnt find ourselves stranded. At this point, the shop is supposed to be closed, but Kevin, Sam and his crew said theyd stay late to do the repair. And boy did they. We knew we were taking a gamble because repairing the one code didnt ensure it would actually resolve the issue we were experiencing. Sam felt pretty comfortable that it would, but he also made no promises - we gave them only 15 mins to figure out the problem so we could appreciate his 100% lack of confidence.They made the repair. They charged us a reasonable rate. They were kind, thoughtful and really cared about our safe travels. So much so, that they actually called us to make sure we made it to Montana ok.This place REALLY cared about us and it showed in their workmanship, their compassion and their commitment. We arent regulars, we dont live anywhere near them. Wed likely never see these folks again, but that didnt matter to them - they literally treated us like family!This is the longest review I have ever written for a company, but it is deserved.Kevin, Sam and crew - youre good people. You went above and beyond for this vulnerable family that really had no where to go. You sheltered us from the cold, stayed late on Friday to take care of us and then you even checked in on us to make sure we made it safely to our destination. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!! You will never know what your efforts and compassion did for us that day. We had a flat tire on our RV and Kevin promptly came out and got us up and running again in a flash. Very friendly, polite, and service oriented. I highly recommend them.

I broke down twenty miles away from the nearest town and it was closing time for all the tow shops. Called him a half an hour before he closed shop. Kevin saved us from sitting on the side of the freeway in the dark with my three children.then dropped us off at a hotel he was very helpful and kind I think we got to the hotel at 8pm so he stayed with us till we were safe . Awesome help and professional. Broke down on my way to Montana at 6am Sunday. Prompt towing. Kevin was amazing. Car couldnt be looked at for 3 days, rented a car from them and on my way within the hour. This place has saved our bacon twice now. A few years ago our Chevy lost a fuel pump and was broke down on I90. They towed us in and got us fixed up right away. Just a couple weeks ago we had an exhaust pipe issue on our Dodge and once again, they got us in and fixed so we could continue on our travels. Yes, we had to wait a few hours before they could fix it but that is not an issue at all. We did not have an appointment. They got us in, instead of making us wait a few days. Again, we were passing through. I can not say enough but great things about the staff and this company. Really top notch service and compassion for people.My only issue is I may have to go to the Seattle area via hwy 2 since my trucks seem to like to break down while passing Ellensburg. lol.Thank you D&M Motors, you all are fantastic!

Kevin was the gentleman who picked up myself & my son; along with my parents when their truck broke down. He was an incredibly kind man who even remembered each of our names when speaking with us. His level of professionalism was second to none and I will definitely be contacting Kevin if I ever need a future tow. He even picked us up on his day off! (Which he never had to do!) An honest, knowledgeable and reasonable repair shop!! Highly recommendMy class C motor home decided to breakdown outside of Ellensburg. D & M motors owners and technicians were knowledgeable, respectful and friendly. The responding tow operator spent time trying to fix the problem on the spot, and when it couldn’t be, communicated his finding to the shop, and towed me there along the scenic route - beautiful! The next morning, (after allowing me to camp in their lot overnight and providing power!) they thoroughly inspected and diagnosed the problem, all the while fielding multiple questions from me. Fortunately, it was not a worst-case scenario!I felt their service costs were reasonable, and they went the extra mile.Thank you, Kevin, Sam and all the rest!!!

This place is amazing!! I had an issue with a leak on my car and they were able to fix it quickly and the price didnt hurt my pocket. The employees are the nicest people in Ellensburg and I will definitely be bringing my car back here for any other services I need. Was recently travelling on a Sunday up the Vantage Hill on I90 westbound when my engine warning light began to flash. Pulled into Ryegrass rest area and called D&M, Kevin responded immediately and was out to tow my car to Ellensburg within about 45 mins. Since it was Sunday, I could not have it looked at until Monday morning so I checked into Hampton Inn. D&M service manager Sam called first thing, had the diagnosis done, and was able to fix my vehicle and have me on the road by 11:00am. Overall great customer experience given the bummer situation. Service was prompt, friendly, and very fair value overall. Would highly recommend.

We were heading on vacation and our engine blew in ellensberg. Kevin came in the blink of an eye to get my family off the side of the road into a safe place. I have 2 very young girls and he was so sweet to them, they love Kevin & his tow truck lol It turned out very convenient that he towed us because there is a great auto shop and they even had a car to rent so we could continue on our vacation. Sam the mechanic has been very attentive and great in dealing with the extended warranty company and he keeps in constant contact with us about our car. They are all very friendly and helpful. I have brought this same car to them a few times and they always got it running for me. But, I recently discovered, only because my car tried to die on me on main street in the middle of the turn lane I checked my fluids and I found my transmission fluid was completely empty, which I am always checking and maintaining my vehicles. So I filled two quarts in it and the next day all out on my driveway. I went to order a new pan gasket filter etc. in order to do so i had to see how many bolts were on the pan to get correct one for my car. While I was counting my hand grabbed the end of what felt like a screwdriver, sure enough it was a long mechanic screwdriver! Wedged all the way up behind the pan. I almost got it wiggled out but it was to long of a screwdriver to get completely out.(I took pictures) I called and they said he couldn’t look at it till 2 days later (keep in mind I have 3 kids, 2 in elementary school, no other cars) I was shocked seeing it was due to their mechanics mistake, which I feel like they should be trying to look at it immediately. And see what kind of damage that screwdriver did to my transmission since it has been stuck in my car since December! I would never have seen it unless I got under my car. I really hope they fix what ever damage that huge screwdriver caused.

What a wonderful experience with owner Kevin Johnson ! We were staying at a local hotel and someone backed into us during the night, knocked off the license plate and then drove away ! We found the plate, wanted to reattach it, and got a tip from the hotel staff about D & M Motors. We arrived there to find them closed for the holiday, but Kevin was there anyway and offered to help us. He straightened out the plate, washed it, screwed it back on, told some great towing stories, and wouldnt take a cent for the repair ! Now I wish I lived in Ellensburg ! A great find !

My sister in law and I were driving from SLC, UT to our destination on Vancouver Island B.C. Our truck broke down in Wellington WA, and we had to be towed in the middle of the night. After the grueling process with the insurance company being the middle man, our tow truck was finally there. Kevin was the lucky one who got to work in the middle of the night, and he was SO kind and concerned and the first thing he did was help us get into his tow truck safely before he started the process with the truck. He truly made the whole experience feel positive even under the circumstances. The next day we were towed back to their shop, they rallied together and got our truck fixed back up within a few hours and had us back on the road by 1pm. We cannot express how that kind of service made a stressful situation turn into a great adventure and memory. We hope all of our cars break down in WA, so we can call D &M! We sent some postcards from the island when we got there later that day. Thank you all for your honest work and wonderful customer service.

I am not one to go on and create a review because i feel sometimes reviews are not meant to be posted for all to see for particular reasons, with that being said, I cannot rave enough about D&M Motors in Ellensburg.My Son attends college and when he was heading back to college from visiting his check engine light came on and he called 3 places and D&M was able to get him in the next day. They did an overview inspection and found that the check engine light not important, they did in fact find a major issue that could have caused my child to get in a bad accident. They understand he is a college student and they called his mom and dad directly to discuss problems and price. This weekend is mothers day weekend, they over-nighted the part to get him home for the weekend. D&M Motors (Sam) yet again called to keep me in the loop of the part coming in and they are staying late to fix, will be done for him to come home for the weekend.They also will take a payment over the phone.Just fantastic, communication was clear, kept us in the loop from start, middle to finish. Very nice family owned business

Dropped my car off at a different auto repair shop (seth motors) and later found out that they could not fix the problem. Called over to D&M and told them about my situation, they were able to get my car in the SAME day! Amazing people! Not only that but coordinated with Seth Motors to pick my car up from them and fix it all without me doing anything. I could not be more thankful for these people!

We were traveling in our 36 motor home when it was disabled on I-90 in Washington. This shop did a terrific job first bringing us fluids in the middle of the night and then executing a damage free tow of our little 32,000 pound coach to a capable facility. They always greeted us with a smile and positive feedback and helped us make the adventure a positive experience.

D&M helped me turn a rough day around. They were fast, easy to work with, and genuinely good people. I got my car towed to a shop and was back on the road in no time. If you are in the Ellensburg area and need a hand with your car, I wouldnt go to anybody else.

Truck broke down on a Friday afternoon, with a Fifth wheel trailer, only company to even want to take me to get truck fixed. Not only did they treat me with friendly service, they found a safe secure place to set my fifth wheel down at no extra charge. Got my truck fixed and on the road in less than two hours. The communication between the manager, my husband( by phone) and myself was superb and comforting. I highly recommend this company for anyone that is in a vulnerable situation, out of town and on a dead line to reach there point of destination. Thank you so much for turning a terrible turn of events (our truck breaking down as we traveled home from WA to MT) into an enjoyable experience. The friendly staff helped us to find affordable accommodations for the night and had our vehicle back up and running before noon the next day. Never go back. My alternator went out and I was told to try D&M. Im new in town and a single mom. I took my car in and was told it would be 100$ to diagnose which I thought would be applied toward work. I received a call saying it would be $750.00 to replace battery and alternator (probably $800 with taxes) I asked if any of the $100 could be applied toward cost because I thought maybe I could just do battery there and was told no. Their cost to replace battery $336.00 I called Oreillys Auto Parts and they had a battery for $127, and alternator $119.96. I took my car there as it had enough charge to drive around corner and the young kid behind counter at Oreilly, replaced my battery for just cost of battery $127.00 When lived in California Auto Zone and OReilly would put battery in for free. This took kid 15 minutes. The alternator will be here in morning and Im paying a young guy $50.00 to put it in tomorrow. Im so disappointed how D & M can justify these charges. I also drove to Seth Auto who said they would charge $75.00 labor to put alternator in but it was too late and I would have to wait until Monday (today is Friday). Pickup up my car and it was $110.00 not $100.00 they said, I didnt say a word just handed over my Visa card and picked up my car. :( Well live and learn. If you live here in town I would go elsewhere and save yourself some money. I was at work dealing with this all day without family and no car. So disappointing. I will never go to D&M again and they own many businesses and I feel they are just about making a lot of money. If you need auto repair I would go elsewhere, or beware of inflated charges.

During a nasty snowstorm, my car slipped off I-90. D&M towing helped get my car back on the road in a quick and efficient manner, so that I could get out of harms way. The tow truck driver (Kevin) was polite, friendly, and helped me to feel safe. If you are in a bind, I would recommend calling them first.

I was on a trip from MO to Wa for work.My truck broke down on Sunday night on I 90 W. I was glad I was in a spot that got cell phone reception. I called State troopers office @ 1am they sent tow truck to me. Kevin showed up from D & M towing. Troopers didnt give them proper info on my vehicle and trailer. Not a problem for Kevin, We towed my truck to their shop and went to pick up trailer. We put trailer in there storage lot. With it being in the middle of the night I wasnt expecting a great outcome. Kevin was very friendly and told me they would take care of whatever the problem was. After we got the towing done Kevin took me and my load of bags to motel to wait until morning to find out the outcome on my vehicle.I was called early in the morning by Sam. They got right on it to see what was wrong. I expected to be down for a week or so. Sam called back and said he could have me rolling that day. They shot me straight and did a great job. Would highly recommend them!!!! Made some friends in a state I didnt know anyone. Thanks for such great care and commitment to others in a time of distress...

My transmission went out in Ellensburg on my way to the coast. Luckily Kevin was able to get me into a rental car, on the fourth of July weekend, so I could get back on my way. He then arranged to tow my vehicle back to Spokane the following Monday. Not only was he extraoridnarily helpful and supportive but he was good company on the ride back as well. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants someone they can trust.

Thank you Sam and your mechanics very much,I had purchased for my daughter her first car a used 2008 pt cruiser she wanted,she lives in Renton so I had an oil change and full inspection performed to makes sure car was in top working order,knowing how trustworthy and reliable Sam and his crew are we brought the car all the way from Renton to have the guys replace the timing belt and other repairs,the mechanics in Renton said she had a oil leak,needing main seal replacement,Sam and the guys found only 2 loose oil pan bolts,tightened and repaired,Awesome!!!!!!...The Renton mechanics said the power steering hose needed replacement plus possibly the pump,,Sam and the guys found a defective simple rubber o ring at the hose fitting,replaced and repaired,bottom line,because of their integrity and great business ethics they saved us 100s of dollars,cars running excellent!!!!!Daughter is very happy!!!!!and I feel blessed to see a ripple effect of good in the world and win win win for all,Sincerely S.

My wife and I were traveling across Washington when we noticed a strange noise coming from our truck. After taking it to the Dodge dealership and getting less than an informed response after 4 hours and over $230 dollars for the investigation we went to D&M Motors. The staff showed genuine kindness and were committed to give excellent advice to help travelers from out of state. After the initial investigation they discovered the noise was indeed the transmission as I had suspected. Not only were they honest in their assessment, but tried to help us in our passage back to Montana. This kind of courteousness and attention to someone who they might never have business with again is not only rare but outside the bounds found in most businesses and people today. I highly recommend the company and the service manager Sam especially.

Drove all over town looking for a place that would allow me to buy the part i wanted replaced in my honda passport. D&M was the only place that was ok with it. The first three said the parts and labor would be over $1000 dollars. I went to D&M with my $60 part and they did it for $400. In my oppinion, they are the only repair shop il ever go to. Other places try to take advantage of college students.

I couldve had a tow service out of Tri cities come to vantage and tow my tractor back to Tri cities for less. My fault for calling the first place that came up on google.

I brought our 2003 Pilot to the Honda dealer in Wenatchee because of vibrating brakes. The service manager at Honda told me they couldnt find anything wrong with the brakes and suggested I start with replacing the master cylinder to see if that fixes the problem. Thats an expensive experiment, so I said no and came to D+M. I chose D+M because Ive had honest experiences with a service manager named Sam and I heard he was now working at D+M. Well, it was Sams day off and I still got fantastic service! D+M almost immediately found that all four brake rotors were warped and fixed them that day for a fraction of the cost of the work recommended by the Honda Dealer. The service manager was very friendly and helpful and he let me pay over the phone and pick up my car after hours. I could feel the difference immediately, my brake problem was solved. My family and I just returned from a 500 mile trip to MT, including a drive on Going to the Sun hwy and everything works great. Thanks D&M. Ill be back for sure.

These guys are very honest and dependable. Had one of our Semi Trucks go down today, and needed a short tow into town to park it until we could tow it home next week. I called Kevin and he went out of his way to help us out and work with our schedule to tow once the re-power arrived. He called when the job was done to thank us, and let us know where the key was for when we picked it up.The tow was about 5 miles, and the bill was more than reasonable at 265.00. I called his competition in Ellensburg, and got quoted over 800.00 for the same tow. These tow trucks are very expensive, and everyone needs to make money, but being greedy on someone elses problem is just wrong. Customer service was good. But $55 to travel 1.5 miles from their shop for a jump start it outrageous.

Need at tow from Entiat, WA. to Spokane, WA. Got raped on the tow charges. Over $2800 for a simple tow. If they take advntage of a tow custimer what else? Will never call them again. Rather send a tow unit out of Seattle or Spokane.

We need to be pulled out of a ditch about 25 minutes from their office and the service itself tool 10 minutes. They charged us for two hours of time (close to $500) for 10 minutes of service.

Over priced, especially when youre a college student!

I called D&M to move a vehicle that was in my neighbor’s flooded garage. After looking over the situation I found it wouldn’t be possible to move the vehicle. D&M had arrived when I called them back to cancel, D&M did not charge us for their efforts. Way to go D&M Towing.
