They do have a good selection of items. The management needs to find a way to create a happier environment for their employees however. Compared to other places I shop locally all the time the attitude in here seems like prison sentence versus a good job to work at. Bickering among employees in front of customers, long faces, poor attitudes seem to be a common theme the last 3 times I have been here. There are other quality options in Fairbanks to get the same supplies and tools with a smile and a genuine thank you. I would only want to come back here as a last resort.

This is my husbands favorite store, me not so much 🤣. But it is a good place to drop him off and get some stuff done.Ok, AIH hear me out... a waiting area!! You know how men always complain about their wives dragging them to the craft store, etc and there being no place to sit? You can blaze a trail & be the first one to do it! 😂

Helpful employees but a lot of items were not in stock. They could not give me an estimate on when they might have a resupply, although they did their best to find out .

Next time I am looking for workwear I know where I will go. I also got a good knife, cleaning supplies and fuel oil supplies including a bung wrench, and the have both Goldenrod and Standard fuel oil filters. I saw sweet deals on both hand and electric fuel transfer pumps, so next time I need one of those thats where I will go too

I am very disappointed they coerced their employees to make the get a vaccine they didnt want. This should be a choice not a forced vaccine. Sad that our locals did this.😥

I wanted a cord to essentially impact but not at full price.. I was looking to save a few bucks.. didnt buy.. went to Lowes and got an impact.. there cheaper.

Huge markup on tools. Milwaukee drill/driver set #2997-22 was $399.99 in the store and $284.99 on Amazon; same model number, same everything and Amazon shipped it free WITH the lithium batteries. AIH carries allot of high quality stuff and is ok in a pinch but its difficult to buy local when there is such a huge price difference. The pipeline days are over even though the take it or leave it mentality still prevails among businesses of this type; there are better options out there. Its not the customers responsibility to make sure every small business survives, its up to them to bring the customers in.Also, the owner has a huge chip on his shoulder against anyone who was ever affiliated with the military in any way; he told me that to my face about 8 years ago. Im reminded of that moment every time I drive past the store; very angry guy.

Best spot in town. Especially if you have the perk. They have all supplies.

This is my favorite hardware store! You can look freely for what you need, dont have to ask anyone to go in the back...but if you do have questions, everyone there is vert friendly and helpful. Jason is the best! He knows his stuff.

They dont have everything but theyve always had what I need. This is definitely the first place to stop when looking for any tools or shop items that you might need. From trash bags and work gloves to shop vacs and many diferent power tools, you cant neat the price!

Worst customer service I have ever had from a company. I called in asking a simple question and the representative who answered the phone laughed at me for asking if they carried a battery replacement tool kit after I was told to call them by batterys plus bulbs.

Google just asked how I like AIH. For the most part its an awesome store, you can find a lot of the bigger tools and industrial items you need for larger projects. HOWEVER, I am a huge DeWalt fan and this store ran ads all Summer Long promoting free batteries with the purchase of tools. I had to rain check 3 flexvolt batteries, to this day they still have not given me the batteries the store informed me its part of a promotional deal and until they receive the batteries they will not give me the batteries. This is basically false advertising because the add they had floating in the store granted me a free battery with the purchase of my tool. I bought 3 tools that entitled me to 3 flexvolt batteries. Thats just under $500 in batteries this store owes me, that was the only reason I bought the tools.
