My partner and I love shopping here! They carry a wide range of products you dont find in the box stores (such as tree tapping supplies, crockery, apiary supplies, and super nice spring lock jars) as well as outdoor and camp gear. Im always surprised at their wide array every time we go in. I love that the stuff is super friendly and they keep a selection of print outs from the UAF Extentions Office, which has really come in handy with our homesteading efforts.

Best staff in the world. Ever. To exist, on earth. If I had to buy wares, it would be theirs. But theres no chairs. Prices are fair, traps and snares. Paint and tools, wrenches and rules. Oldest store in town, and they get down🤘🤘🤘🤘

I am a small business owner and like to also support small businesses. I went to Samson’s to pick up a few things. I noticed the employees had masks but all around their necks. When I approached the counter to pay for my products I ask the fellow to please put on his mask. He gave me a big eye roll and grudgingly complied. We had a brief conversation about the importance of masking, for public health and for economic reasons. He could care less and told me so. I’m sorry to have to move my business to a big chain store that has a policy to act more responsibly in these trying times. With cases rising drastically across Alaska it should be the responsibility of every person to do the one thing that makes the biggest difference: wear a mask to stop the spread. This is not a political issue it’s a community health issue and I expect businesses that care about our community to do the one simple thing they can. Sorry I won’t be back to Samson’s until they change their policy.

I needed help to find the right part for the plumbing job that I was doing. Went to the big box hardware store 3 times and was given the wrong part 3 times. The people at Samson were polite and took time to get me exactly what I needed. Even showed me how it would fit together. Amazing service. I live on the opposite side of town and I know I will be going back for most of my future hardware needs. Thanks guys.

Been going to Samson for 60 years, since early childhood. First place to check for those hard to find nuts and bolts and Alaska type items like well points, weed burners, cabin stoves, stovepipe, and etc. They can match your paint too. Great job ladies.

Excellent store for all of your bush tool and homestead needs. From scythes and draw knives to crockery and oil lamps. Great Christmas shopping.

Best hardware store in Fairbanks hands down

The customer service is amazing here. I got to the store at 3:00 o’clock on Saturday thinking they closed at 6:00, they actually close at 3:00 . A gentleman was like faking the door as I walked up, let me in and got me everything I needed. These are the reasons you keep coming back to a place.
