Our food truck had a lot of work that needed to be done so that we could pass the Maryland State inspection. We had just taken the truck through inspection and failed for a myriad of things that related to suspension, head lights, brakes, seat belt, you name it we failed it.After driving around in VA, where our business is located, searching for a shop that could work on step vans, I finally discovered that there was a shop that specializes on step vans, buses, etc. That shop was Fleet Authority.We met Philip, the owner of Fleet Authority, and presented him with our long list of repairs that needed to get done so that we would be able to pass the inspection. Philip looked at the list and gave us his consultation of what it would take to get the truck to pass inspection. His knowledge of workhorses was very apparent and he left no doubt in my mind that he could get the job done and get us through the inspection. Also in the initial consultation, Philip gave us the best possible option for getting each repair done with the lowest cost to our company possible which I really appreciated.Philip worked tiressly on our step van/workhorse providing weekly updates that included video to show progress of the work. He educated me as he was getting the repairs done. Along the way while repairing our truck and while getting our updates, my wife Lynnette and I have built a strong rapport with Fleet Authority (Philip and his lovely wife Annette) and we are so happy to have found a mechanic who is not only knowledgeable but who is also caring about his customers. I am happy to say that Fleet Authority has a customer for life as I will be bringing more of our company vehicles to Fleet. Mr. Phillip is a great and knowledgeable mechanic, he helped me pick out and installed a new clutch for my 1983 C3500. While installing the clutch he noticed errors from the previous owner and addressed them without batting an eye nor did he cut corners fixing those problems(he went far and beyond what a normal mechanic would do). He kept me informed during the whole process, took pictures, showed me the old worn out clutch pad/broken spline gears, did an overview of my truck, and got my truck fixed in a timely fashion. I would most certainly recommend him for his knowledge and skill. He and his wife are very nice, easy to talk too, and overall great people and whenever I don’t have the time to do something myself he is the one person I will go too.

A good mechanic great place to bring your vehicle honest business

I noticed residue on my Tundras steering bellow, and was prepared for the worst case scenario - a new steering rack for ~$2,460. I used the key drop to drop it off after hours which was very convenient, and the next day Phil gave me a call and explained that some seepage is common on these trucks, and that mine does not need replacement even for a cross country drive. He unclamped it, found actually no leak, cleaned it and good to go. Any other shop could have taken advantage of the situation and had me replace it for $2,400, and I would never have known any better. I highly recommend and trust Fleet Authority.

I bought an E450 lemon. Phil and Annette helped me identify the problems and supported me in dealing with the seller/dealer. After I got it fixed as much as I could by the seller, Phil fixed all the loose ends. I can’t believe the difference in the way it handles. Great shop, great people, honest and kind.

Phil and Annette have been great to work with on an older F450 stake body 7.3 L diesel dump truck. The truck sits mainly at construction sites to gather debris and transport to the appropriate location. So not many miles each year, but it is of the age the requires some attention. Phil realizes it is an old work truck and items to be addressed are prioritized beginning with the have to to later. This is not a truck you hook up to a computer that spits out the problem so to find someone with the knowledge and skills as Phil has been invaluable. Plan to get many more miles out of the truck with Phil and Annettes help!

I found these guys by accident after having issues with our Bus. took it over to fleet authority and they took great care of me. Had the vehicle back to me quicker than i thought it would be and now its running great. I would send anyone that owns any large vehicles there way. What a poor operation they are running. The receptionist Annette needs an attitude adjustment. The way she talks to customers and her tone is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. We had our truck serviced there, I called to make a partial payment 2 days before picking up my truck. Phil accepted a credit card payment over the phone. Fast track to 2 days later when i pick up my truck, i call to make sure our truck was still there after not seeing it parked on the street. (Just a fear of thinking it couldve gotten towed since they parked it on a public street after servicing it) Annette was rude, said my question was weird, and said i dont know where your truck is, its somewhere around here I GUESS.Anyway, i go inside to pay my balance, and acknowledge the fact that she was rude and tell her should considered changing her tone for customers. At this point she starts arguing with me.The owner phil comes out and starts backing her up., and at this point its clear they are husband and wife.I tell them we will NO longer come her for service, and phils says since you no longer will come here, i will no longer take a credit card from you. Phil demanded cash only after he already took credit from me before. I had to travel all the way to my bank in rush hour to withdraw money. It took an hour. I dont trust these folks.I Will NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN. POOR SERVICE OVERALL.
