I had quartz countertops put in my house last winter by DIY kitchens and their price was a little below 2 other bids. They did a great job- the counters look terrific! I found working with them much more straight forward than the two other counter places I visited. My kitchen looks great!

Shop was closed when we walked in, my partner and I recently bought a house but the kitchen needed some remodeling. We checked some kitchen remodeling companies online that can give us some great ideas and suggestion and came across this company. So we called their phone number and we were assisted promptly. We agreed to visit the shop so we could browse through all the display and design. 30 minute drive to the shop only to find out they were closed. We called but we couldn’t get a hold of them. When we got home, someone from the shop called us and said the person manning the desk had an emergency situation that they had to close the shop that day. Disappointing! We drove all the way to the shop for nothing and no one even called us to advise they couldnt accommodate us. Very disappointed!

DIY Kitchens did a great job remodeling my kitchen and building a mudroom for a good price and in a timely fashion. Whenever something came up during the process my concerns were quickly addressed and I loved the finished product. Very happy with my new kitchen and mudroom. Installed new white shaker cabinets, (very good quality for its price) black granite with leather finish, farmhouse sink, subway tile, plumbing, hardware and etc. Pasha was always and time and very responsive. I recommend DIY kitchens and I would hire them again. Will add photos later

I originally met Fred when he was nice enough to take on a small job to fix a problem that was caused by something another contractor had done incorrectly on our bathroom remodel project. I appreciated his willingness to take on this small job and fit it into his busy schedule and that he took the time to explain to me what the other person did incorrectly. I wished we had used him for that project, and decided then that when we were ready to remodel our kitchen hed be the person wed call. A few years later that time came and it was the best call I made all year!In an industry where its difficult sometimes to even get a call back, Freds responsiveness stands out from the crowd. He gets back to you in a timely manner and shows up when he says he will. My wife and I both appreciated the detailed bid he put together for our kitchen remodel that itemized the labor and material cost for every task that was part of our large project. We are both pretty analytical so it was nice to see how he came up with his bid and it made us feel like we were being charged fairly for the work that he was going to do. During the planning stages of our kitchen remodel Fred was always on top of reminding us what we needed to be doing to keep the project on schedule. He was also very involved in our design decisions and it was a real team effort making all of the many design choices that went into such a large project. Finally, he does extremely high quality work and we really appreciated his attention to detail. I like things to be done perfectly and so does Fred (and his crew), so were 100% happy with the job he/they did on our kitchen, flooring, and half bath remodel project. We were so happy that we hired them again later in the year to replace 12 windows in our house and DIY did a great job on that project as well

These guys are top notch on the kitchen and bath remodeling Everything from the initial consultation/pricing/products to their work crews are excellent. I personally enjoyed these guys because they selected only the best quality products and the crew doing the work clearly were experts in what they were doing. You can tell the guys doing the work pride themselves on giving you the best experience possible. They were kind, extremely hard working, and very fast.I look forward to using this company on many future projects. I recommend them to everyone.

We chose DIY Kitchens and Baths because of excellent reviews on Angies List and Houzz and were not disappointed. The job was a remodel of a 3rd floor bathroom in a Arlington Va house with some constraints. The DIY team worked with us throughout, helping us to make and revise decisions as necessary. The workers were all prompt, pleasant and professional. The result is very beautiful and totally functional. We love our new bathroom and would strongly recommend this company for any remodeling jobs you might have.

Mike and his guys are awesome. They did a major kitchen remodel for us this year. We had a few issues along the way but Mike and Alex handled everything professionally and were always courteous and responsive. The end result was amazing. Their work was up to our very tough standards and they did everything possible to make my wife happy (not an easy task ha-ha). We would use them again in a heartbeat and have recommended them wholeheartedly to our friends. They took care of everything and made us very happy. DIY is a kickback to good old fashioned customer service. Thank you Mike!!!

We hired Frank and his crew to do a complete studs-out kitchen remodel. Couple days after our initial meeting Frank came up with a kitchen design that turned out to be fantastic. Removed two walls, complete new lay out, a complete open concept. Frank and DIY made the entire process very easy and seamless for us. We decided to have the remodel done while we were traveling overseas, not without some hesitation. A contractor friend of mine told me we were crazy to have the job going when we were not there to check on it, but we decided to take a chance. As it turned out, it worked out great--Frank kept the job moving along and sent us pictures of the progress, and we returned to an almost-finished kitchen. The quality of the work and attention to detail was excellent. The team was conscientious about confirming the details with us before each portion of the job, making sure that each decision was agreed upon, and were clearly careful in their work. Franks crew and subcontractors (electrician) were friendly and pleasant to have in our home. We decided last-minute to refinish all the floors in the house during the project, and asked Frank if he could book movers as we were overseas. Rather than hire movers Franks crew packed up our entire house themselves, moved it to the garage, then moved it back (just in time for our return!). I thought for sure something would get broken but everything made it back upstairs in perfect condition. They even set out my sons toys for him to find when we got home--which was much appreciated by a jet-lagged preschooler. It was a small thing but showed the care and respect the crew have for their clients. I would not hesitate to use Frank and DIY Kitchens again or to recommend them to anyone.

Please avoid this company at all cost!!!! They are now willing to replace our cracked cabinets during warranty period. They are not returning our calls/emails and do not either want to provide us a copy of the original purchase (since we misplaced it) so we can proceed with the warranty with the manufacturer. Pls do not use this company at all! Totally not worth the stress...

Out of four companies that I interviewed, they were the only ones that knew how to pull the necessary permits and deal with the difficult condominium management office. They showed up on time and finished three days ahead of schedule. When they finished, everything was done nicely and clean. I had heard nightmare stories about contractors in DMV area but these guys did exactly what they said. I would highly recommend them.

Wish i was writing a positive review, but after ten months of experience. I am very disappointed. Work is still incomplete. No touch ups, cabinets were improperly installed, crown molding was not completed based on the contract. While owners were at first responsive, accommodating and polite, after 3-4 months, they gave up fixing mistakes, installations errors, and incomplete work by their own crew., which always changed. Overall, I am sad to say, I do not recommend.

WARNING WARNING!! READ ENTIRE REVIEW. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! This is the most unprofessional company Ive ever encountered!! We got our countertops done by them and were scheduled to have our back splash as well. They were late to just about everything including our estimate which should have been a sign. On one particular day they told us they were coming at 8 am, noon, 2 pm, and finally just stopped answering our calls and never showed. They offer excuse after excuse and never follow up. Due to this we decided to cancel our back splash and now we are playing the same games just to have our refund issued. Its been two weeks and they still have not given us our refund. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. You will be glad you did!!UPDATE - I wish I could be following up to say that our matter was resolved and that they followed the appropriate measures to rectify the situation. Instead, I am reporting that we called Friday to ask about our refund and were told we would be called back in a few hours. Again, no call back. I called again on Tuesday and left a message, again no returned call. Same theme of terrible customer service and follow up. Finally today literally moments ago I called and Frank answered. He tells me we will only receive $700 in refund (still have yet to receive) and not our full $1200 refund due to restocking fee. This is no where in the paperwork we signed nor were we told this when we said we were cancelling due to their horrible service and inability to meet deadlines. He said we should have left the review after the refund was processed which told me he was upset at my honest review of his company. I told him we will receive a full refund even if I need to get my attorney involved and he proceeded to yell at me and cut me off as I was speaking. Telling me I needed to listen to him and then he HUNG up on me. I have never had an adult man speak to me in that tone. As a woman not only is that poor customer service but the level of aggressiveness over something that we should be frustrated about as the customer is ridiculous. We will now have to get our lawyer involved over something that has already taken too much of our time. Trust me...RUN!!! You will be glad you did. Remodeling is hard enough as it is dont work with a company that makes it more difficult.

I paid this company over $25,000 to help me on kitchen and Bath remodeling a small apartment. We signed contract end of March and started work first week of April . First, They uses a wrong size cabinets ( -12 inches), wrong color granite form the order, then the work stopped and contractor was gone out off the country . It is now June 3rd and the project is not done. My mistake I paid him the full amount after he pleaded he will finish the the project. I will am going to the legal authorities . I Do Not recommend this company .

I accidentally reposted an old review. IF ANYONE, P[LEASE,, KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND FRANK I WOULD BE SO APPRECIATIVE. He did horrible work for myself, my daughter and my brother. He promised to make it right and has disappeared. I had actually gone to court and he never showed up. The judge ruled in my favor. I suspect he changed the company name.

We contracted with DIY in July 2017 to remodel our kitchen. Pasha seemed wonderful until the work started and then delay after delay and excuse after excuse resulted in us firing DIY in October 2017, with an unfinished kitchen. We had paid the full $29,500 already and work was not complete. To date, I am still missing glass doors for our island and glass doors for an upper cabinet. They screwed up our sink, giving us a stainless steel farm sink when we ordered a white traditional farm sink. Pasha asked me to order the replacement sink because I had Amazon Prime and got free shipping. That was an additional $905. They sent the wrong cabinet and drawer pulls, so I had to order the correct ones out of pocket at a cost of $331. Plus, we used our own tile we bought elsewhere for our backsplash and Pasha put in the contract we would get refunded that money plus a 20% rebate for the cost of the tile as it was far less expensive than the options DIY had and were built into the estimate. I had to hire Carlos, the subcontractor working for DIY myself to finish the work at a cost of $390. That was $1616 on top of the $29,500 we paid in full already. I have not been reimbursed for any of these added expenses and have an unfinished project as I am missing glass doors and shelves for two cabinets! In addition to all of that, there are unused materials, including the stainless sink, a base and upper cabinet and several boxes of wood flooring still in my garage from August. I cant park my car in my own garage as I have been trying to do the right thing and hold onto this stuff for DIY to remove from my property. I have filed a lawsuit with DIY, but their registered agent (Beltway Kitchen and Baths) address is no longer good and their Virginia SCC record is fee delinquent. The suit can be found in Fairfax General District Court, case number GV18001220-00. Do not do business with these people.

Ive enjoyed having the team from DIY Kitchens and Baths into our home. Prior to these guys weve had some less than great experiences with a variety of contractors--the classic disappearing act and general lack of communication, missed appointments, hidden upcharges, etc etc. thankfully this was not the case with DIY. We had a truly wonderful experience with DIY Kitchens! When I called DIY to come out for a quote, they really understood our vision and parameters and made us feel completely comfortable with the project. Having bad experiences with contractors before and being older people, we did have some reservations about being upcharged or taken advantage of. DIY Kitchens and Baths completely quelled any hesitations we had. They were completely on board to do my remodeling on a budget. The best part about my experience with DIY is that we not only stayed on budget, but our kitchen looks like a chef kitchen.Frank the manager, was truly a rockstar. We were not staying at our house for the duration of the work, but Frank constantly stayed in contact and was always honest about what was going on with the work, timeline, etc. Almost every job naturally has a few hiccups, but Frank always had options to work around them and to make sure that we were 100% happy with the results. He was always available by text or call whenever I had questions, and he was extremely patient with my endless questions. For a quick example of how nice Frank is, we had a very small amount of 2 walls that needed to be painted. Twice the paint store gave me the wrong color, which Frank realized when it went up on the wall. I didnt think Id have time to figure out what the issue was (whether I gave the paint store the wrong color, if they mixed it wrong, etc), so I told Frank not to worry about it, and I could paint it on my own later on. When all the work was just about done, Frank called me and said he just couldnt leave the paint like that because he wanted to make sure they took care of every last detail. They did repaint the walls the correct color, which was a minor thing but really shows how diligent and great Frank is.Tony also did incredible work. There are so many little things that dont jump out at you right away, but when you do notice them, its truly a testament to how diligent these guys are. For example, I was really impressed that they tiled pretty far up behind my corner cabinets, that probably nobody would even notice unless you purposely looked up under there. It really goes to show that they dont cut any corners. From a coordination standpoint, Pasha was always available to answer my questions and was extremely helpful in giving me information just about anything. I really appreciated that guidance.Overall, I would highly recommend DIY Kitchens and Baths for any remodeling projects. I am beyond thrilled with the result, and cant thank them enough for all of their hard work!

Frank at DIY Kitchens and Baths was very easy to work with. His granite looks amazing and his contractors were very professional. My wife and I are very pleased with the results, and the process was stress free and very fast. I submitted a contact request through his website on Sunday night. Monday morning he called and said he could come out that night and give an estimate. Monday night he had taken measurements and had given me the quote. Wednesday I decided to go with his company and he said Friday would be the install. Friday the contractors installed the granite countertops. Saturday the plumber hooked up the sink and dishwasher. The whole process took less than a week, and if I decided sooner it would have been 4 days. The quickness of the turn around was very impressive and the price was awesome! If you are looking for quality granite countertops, awesome prices, and quick turnaround, then call Frank at DIY Kichens and Baths. The only thing that went wrong on this project was the measurements of the countertop. The bottom cabinetry edge is exposed about 1/8 of an inch at the end of countertop. I think he measured from the top edge which was a little shorter in length than the bottom edge. This was a small oversight, and we are just going to paint over the exposed part and it wont be noticeable. Also his contractors scratched my hardwood floor when moving the stove. They offered to send men out to fix, but we didnt take them up on it. My review is 5 stars because of the speed, quality of the granite, and the friendliness of Frank.
