I know it weird but I LOVE AutoWerks. Over the years, I have had one vehicle or another here (6 in total) and have spent quite a lot of money there. That said, I have never left feeling cheated, lied to, or robbed. Instead, I have experienced professionalism, understanding, and fairness.

I made an appointment for an alignment and rotation and was clear I needed a loaner vehicle since the only time I am able to bring my vehicle in is during work hours (I have a 1.5 hour commute). I was turned away due to them not having a loaner vehicle at the time - stating it was due to a customer not returning it on time. I made a second appointment and added in tire mounting and balancing along with the alignment since I had purchased tires between getting turned away and making a new appointment. I again made it very clear I would need a loaner vehicle and brought up the issue with the last appointment I had made with them. I was yet again turned away. I was told I never had an appointment put in the schedule and there was not a loaner vehicle available. They might do good work, but their management skills seem to be lacking. I will not be wasting my time again.

These guys are the best. Ive dealt with many mechanics over many years of owning old cars. Youre best beat is to bring your car problems here. I have a 2008 XC90 Volvo. Volvos are different, and hard to work on. No problem, theyve diagnosed it and repaired it within 2 days twice this summer.

Have always had fair, honest service at Autowerks. They work hard to find good prices for parts and fix issues quickly. Like all in the service industry they are very busy right now, call ahead.

Very friendly staff and they are very knowledgeable at what they do. They dont try to oversell you and will let you know if there are any other problems with your vehicle and give a fast estimate.

A blown tire flew in front of my car and I couldnt avoid running over it. Autowerks tightened the loose pieces without charging me anything. They have always been so kind and honest to my family. Its wonderful to have such a reputable business in Forest Lake!!

I was referred to AutoWerks by a friend who told me he trusted this car shop, with great staff and great prices.Let me just say that what I thought would be a day or 2 worth of car repairs turned into over a week worth of waiting for my car to be fixed. Im from the cities so time was of the essence as I was car-less and had to travel a bit of a distance to get there.There were some obstacles along the way that caused my car repairs to take as long as they did but what I was blown away by, was the awesome customer service I received. I was kept in the loop as the repairs took place and every time I called, the staff was friendly, helpful and the service I received from them was second to none.Yes, it sucked that it took longer than what I anticipated. But I would take my car or refer anyone here, in a heartbeat just because of the staff that work here. Let me just say that their prices are pretty great as well. I had been quoted before as having to spend anywhere between $2k-$3k to fix my car that I was thinking of getting a new car altogether. And Autowerks got the job done for less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere.I cannot stress to enough how grateful I feel for them. They are awesome people with superior service and prices.I hope my car doesnt have any other problems in the future.....but I know I would take it back to AutoWerks in a heartbeat.

They fixed car issue of mine after spending many dollars at another place with no results. Original problem was small,cheap fix. Very grateful for their service. Oil change around 21 dollars, friendly staff.

If you want honest, loyal people to work on your vehicle go here. They try to give you the best deal they can, and are extremely helpful.

They are great if you need your can fixed up these guys are good. Edited 4/25/18. Again these guys passed expectation if you need car repairs these guys are honest and good priced. Little bit of a wait though to get in so set up am appointment if you need to see them.

Honest and friendly.I brought my car here based on other positive online reviews. I asked them to change my axle because I was sure it was faulty. They called me back and let me know the axle was fine and the noise I was hearing was just a brake shield rubbing against a rusty rotor. They could have done the job and I would have been none the wiser, instead they gave me my car back with no charge. Thank you. My highest recommendation goes out to AutoWerks.

This was my first time to have auto service done at Autowerks. I scheduled an alignment for 5/29, made the prior week. The shop was overflowing with auto repairs that came in over the holiday weekend. Surprise, they honored my appointment, did a great job and made no attempt to sell me anything to make my car run like new again I waited in the reception room, and was amazed at the courteous manor that the folks there treated walk ins and phone calls, even trying to do a diagnostic as to what would cause a malfunction ( I anticipated they would say bring it in and we will evaluate). I do almost all my auto repair and feel knowledgeable about the mechanics (worked at EPA mobile source enforcement for site inspections). My takeaway was that these guys are honest and do quality work.

This is the only shop in the area that I would trust with my vehicles. Their dedication to finding and resolving problems in a timely manner exceeds any shop Ive ever been to.Their estimates are always accurate, and when they find additional work that they recommend be taken care of at the time I can always trust that its the best decision for my vehicle and my budget.The Whitney gal that was complaining in an earlier post was way off base with how this owner and employees operate. These are some of the most trustworthy people in the business, and if she had a problem, Im guessing she was extremely unreasonable and had other issues not related to her vehicle.If you want something done on your vehicles within a reasonable price range, this is the only place to go.

Tom was fantastic. They did a fairly major job on my vehicle and when I got my car back I was satisfied with their workmanship. 40 miles later my car started acting up again - different symptoms. They tore apart the engine and replaced the bad part - and didnt charge me a dime. They didnt want me to think anything shady was going on. They really stood by their work. I cant believe how lucky I am to have found such an honest shop!

Moved to Forest Lake in 2012. My Ford Ranger needed a water pump, brakes, and a few other things. Brought it to Autowerks to get their opinion and they built immediate credibility when they suggested I would be better off looking at getting a new truck vs having them fix the Ranger. Since then, I have only brought my vehicles to Autowerks. They continue to impress with honest service always at fair price. I highly recommend you give them a try if you havent already.

My wifes Town and Country had a coolant smell coming through the vents! Stopped by Autowerks to have it looked at expecting the worst! They got it in right away and found it was just a loose clamp on a radiator hose.They put a new clamp on and the problem was solved! Best of all...no charge!! Thank you Autowerks for being helpful and honest!! I will be back if we have any more issues with any of our vehicles! Thanks again!!

Autowerks has been a dream come true for me. I drive a import car and had a oil leak. I have always serviced my car at BMW Autowerks. The estimate i received was well over 5,000. I received a referral to autowerks .made a appt. explained what BMW was saying with my estimate from them. Autowerks review and fixed the issues for 1,300. Very upfront professional and they stand by there work.I recommend this place highly!!!

Dropped the car off because it was ticking on friday. Over the weekend it snowed. Come tuesday we called and they told us they drove it but it didnt tick. We drove past and there was over a foot of snow on the car. Called them and asked again they told us yes. We turned around and asked them how since there was a foot of snow on the car, and as we pulled up they were quickly brushing the snow off of the car. Lied to us twice, and ran out to the car to cover his tracks. shady.Edit; after calling back and confirming the tick in the engine they refused service, which I kind of expected. But then he turned it around and called ME a liar, and proceeded to talk over me and yell, I am absolutly appalled. I cannot believe thay someone can run a buisness like this. A bunch of scammers. I absolutly WILL NOT be back.

Once I find a mechanic I trust, I use them for decades. I did this for Phils in Corcoran, and now Ill do it for Autowerks of Forest Lake. Came in under estimate, when I could not rent a vehicle they went out of thier way for me. Did not up-sell service I did not need. A clean, respectable shop. This is high praise from a do-it-himself person.

Best auto repair shop ever!! I used to live in Forest Lake and always got the most honest repair costs from Tom, Jim & the boys. Once my water pump and serp belt went out when I was down in Eagan (before I knew about Autowerks) and Firestone fixed it for around $800. Six months later both went out again. I called Firestone and they said they would warranty the parts, but not the labor. They quoted me $400 to fix (labor only). I brought the truck to Autowerks and it was less than $400 parts & labor (this was many...many years ago so dont hold them to this price today!!). I asked how much the parts were and Tom said it was just a couple hundred in parts. Firestone clearly was marking their stuff up like 200%. In 2010, my family and I moved to Eden Prairie and I still always send my vehicles up to Autowerks to get fixed. The hour drive to go get the vehicle is well worth the honest service Ive always gotten from Tom & Jim. I have over 250k miles on my GMC Sierra - thanks mostly to the guys at Autowerks. I havent had a ton of repairs on the truck, but what Ive had done was done at a super reasonable price and always fixed right the first time. Great place!!!!!!
