Steve at Metcalf Service had outstanding customer service from start to finish. He stayed late the day I needed to drop off my snowmobile since I couldn’t get there within business hours due to work. He gave me an estimate for services and when I got the bill it was more than he originally quoted me. He looked back in his notes, said that I was absolutely correct and that it was his fault he didn’t communicate that to me so he stuck to his original quote even though it took him more hours to fix than he thought. When I went to pick up my snowmobile I found an additional issue with my sled and he said just to leave it and he would fix it. He had it done the next day and didn’t want to charge me anything because he said he should have caught it (I still paid him a little extra). I also had him check out several other items that he could have easily said needed to be replaced to make an extra buck, but he checked it out and said it was good. The whole experience showed me what an honest businessman he really is and that’s not always an easy thing to find in a repair shop. I will definitely be returning for any future needs! Highly recommend!

Metcalf Services does a great job at a fair price, I had them work on my Ford F-350, featherlight trailer and snowmobile. He has also sold me parts so I could do the job myself.

I have had both of my sleds up to there shop and its amazing what they can do for just a Joe blow guy and make smiles for miles

We had a snowmobile day planned for our son, but we ran into a jam when his clutch stuck open on his sled. We thought the day would be ruined, but Steve really came through for us. He dropped what he was doing to help us out. He had all the right tools and knowledge to fix and repair the clutch -- and had us on our way within an hour! We were so grateful for Metcalf Service Center. They are very knowledgeable, treat customers fairly, and get jobs done in a timely manner.

I was not a customer, I had trailer issues and need tools and help get back on the road. The shop and staff was more than accommodating on making sure I was on the road within the hour, but mostly was there to make sure I was safe and sound!

Absolutely above and beyond for service. Had an issue at 3:30. Sent two guys to meet us on a service call. They gimped us back to the shop. A few hours later our air leveling system was repaired and we are back on the road. Mike and Steve even stayed after hours to assist. Absolutely Impressed!!!! Thanks guys!

My truck broke down outside of there shop and they were closed, I walked over to there shop being closed and happened to catch a employee leaving the shop for the night. He stopped and asked me if I needed help, thank God he was there and very nice. I told him my truck broke down and I think my fuel pump went out and he said no problem let me tow your truck into my parking lot out of the way and he did . He then told me he can have it fixed for me by the end of the next day. That was very awesome and helpful. Next day truck was fixed and back to me . Great work ! Great people!! Thanks for helping me out when I was in need !!!

I have tried to write this review twice, it never shows up... dishonest is all I can say. We cant prove they damage items to make money but we wonder since we never had an issue until we took it here. Plus they over charge - filters we can buy for $11 they charge $51, another we can buy for $48 they charge $128. An oil change for the generator and engine of our RV was $811. They found a brake issue during the oil change another $596. While doing the brake repair they found another issue, the cost would be $5000 to repair it; we took the RV to another place who charged us $2600 for the repair. We are sure Metcalf created the last issue, but of course we will never know...

I have bit my tongue about this experience for a long time, however for some reason I have decided to share my experience today. I visited Metcalf to inquire about a set of bearings. As I was conversing with one of the employees, the owner came over and borderline verbally abused his employee in front of me about how he wouldnt allow his employee to help me with what I was inquiring about. I understand if you as an owner dont want to perform a service due to liability, however as a full time student majoring in business with a focus on entrepreneurship, I would NEVER EVER approach a situation as he did. Heres a quick lesson free of charge, step one to excellent customer service: stay calm and collected. Step two: Dont use vulgar language and treat your employees with respect ALWAYS. With all of this being said, I can honestly say that this experience has tarnished the name Metcalf for me, and ANY and ALL business that I would have brought to this establishment as gone out the window.

Ive used Metcalf twice now for my travel trailer I purchased off of Craigslist last year. I wanted to find a shop that repaired trailers that was not a dealer as dealers tend to charge more and often look for things to repair in order to pad the bill.Both times I had an awesome experience. This last repair my slide out would not extend. I figured it was the motor and was expecting a costly repair and said as such to them. In retrospect I probably should not have done that and let them determine the problem and tell me. It would have been easy for them to say, Yup its the motor, that will be 800 dollar please. They didnt do that, they told me the problem was simply that they needed to grease the screw the slide out uses to slide out. This cost me one hour of labor. This is an honest shop, which can be hard to find now a days.Before writing this review I read some of the others and was shocked. Especially in reference to the owner Steve. Now I cant say Steve didnt yell at an employee in front of customers, we all can have a bad day right, but just looking at Steve you can see hes a good guy. He was very pleasant and often smiled. Not at all like the review portrayed him. All his employees were also in a sunny disposition, certainly not an atmosphere youd expect if the owner was a tyrant.I would not hesitate recommending Metcalf to any of my friend or family who are in need of repairs to their motor homes or travel trailers.

Hade a bad water pump on my rv. These guys were perfect. Got me in asap and was super affordable. Highly recommended

Special thank you to the guys at Metcalf service center. I was traveling through Forest Lake and had troubles with my diesel. Called Metcalfs and had it diagnosed as a faulty injector pump and they replaced with new unit. Very reasonable rates and very friendly knowledgable staff.
