My body work was good, however one of my rotors was changed out and they denied doing so even convinced the insurance company who was paying for the damages. They stolen several items from my car including my store merchandise. My recommendation is that you leave ALL items at home or in your rental, take pictures of your vehicle prior to drop off and before you receive your paperwork as for a review of the work and inspect YOUR VEHICLE before getting your keys. If you have another option weigh the pros and cons before accepting service.

Working with Caliber Collision through my insurance (Nationwide) was extremely easy. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. The work was done and the car was delivered days before expected. When the car was returned to me, it was detailed inside and out. Very happy with my experience with Caliber. Someone else hit my car and caused the need to even use them so the only thing better would have been if I did not have to. Thanks to everyone at Caliber for a great experience.

**Note Edits below at the end to improve review**My sister borrowed my vehicle and was in a minor fender bender in the SUV. Used insurance to repair the front bumper and some relatively minor items.Good: if you aren’t particular about your car, and want a quick and relatively easy repair then I would recommend.Bad: I felt the customer service was lackluster. Ignored completely by the front attendant employee to the point I started to wonder if I was in the proper entrance. Then received by someone else there who started the process. She was courteous and professional. When I went out to the vehicle to point out the damage and assess the vehicle I indicated that I wanted the alignment checked due to the location of impact. That proved to be a sticking point since the employee stated that “the alignment isn’t affected and insurance won’t cover it.” She didn’t know if the alignment was affected, didn’t know that insurance would later cover it without problem, that the alignment was in fact off slightly, that not checking the alignment could wear my tires prematurely or affect the handling/safety of the vehicle. She also did not ask if I’d pay for the alignment of insurance didn’t cover it. All of this was unacceptable and not professional to me. But I care about the details of my car, and all of this would be irrelevant if I was not engaged. The company did keep me informed regarding the repairs and they were complete fairly quickly. The repairs look nice - whoever did the body work and repaint did a good job. When I received the car it was a straightforward drop the rental off and pick up my vehicle - all paperwork was ready and it took nearly no time. When I got the car back the steering wheel was no longer straight when driving the vehicle down a straight road, but I haven’t brought it back to address that - seems the steering wheel wasn’t centered when doing the alignment, so it drives straight but the steering wheel has a 10-15 degree displacement. All in all, if you really care about the details of your vehicle, I would not choose Caliber, as there are better places, but this is the place my insurance used. That said, I think most people will have a satisfactory experience at Caliber. My body work looks good, and other than my gripes about some of the employees, and the indifference regarding possible alignment changes and related issues due to the location of the collision, the shop was fine. I gave 3/5 stars since 2.5 wasn’t an option.**EDITS A FEW DAYS LATERThe manager, Mr. Orrega, reached out to me for my honest review. I gave it to him over the phone and it felt like a productive conversation. I brought the vehicle back and he facilitated the adjustments to the car that were needed, and he expressed what I sincerely believe was an apology that my service was not what he strives to deliver to the customer. He seemed sincere, and I realize that not every day will be perfect for a company, so in light of everything I am changing my review to 4 stars and a recommend rating since I was happy with the actual body work that was done, and the other items were corrected upon the second return.

They sent texts, often, about the current status of the repairs, materials ordered & delivered, and even answered any questions I had texted to them. Came to this place based on decent reviews online for my car insurance claim. The process was easy, the service people were polite, but my car does not look good. As you can see from the pictures, specifically the door picture, the color doesnt even match. My original paint had more pearl added to it and they completely disregarded that. Also the paint job is pretty terrible. Thanks for the dripping around the Honda emblem. Also, its clear they just blasted the car with paint and didnt bother sanding because I have rust coming through the paint job. Only reason Im not giving just one star was because they were nice. But I would not get work done here and do NOT recommend.

We got off to a bad start on my second visit. They did quality work on the first (hit a traffic cone thrown into the middle off a four-lane highway by a waiting paving crew at night). So I wanted them to do the second job—a paint scrape when my backup camera misdirected me along a wall around a trash container at a hotel. I was told the paint scrape was more than $900, and a follow-up call indicated it would be more like $1,050. For a paint scrape? I was told I could cancel a $100+ examination of the car’s computer to see what type of horrible forces occurred when my car brushed the wall in reverse at 2 mph. I told them it was unlikely the farme was damaged or the roof was beaten in—just making my point that it was a gentle rub against the wall that removed the body paint right down to the plastic but didn’t bend or break anything. That brought the bill to $905. When I arrived the bill was $310 lower and I was told their estimating software made a mistake. The work was excellent. Just make sure if you get an estimate you think is way too high, ask for a check of the estimating software. They restored it to like-new and all is forgiven.

The body and paint work to my car was done very well! You cant tell where my vehicle was hit, and it was a pretty deep ding, and the paint blends perfectly! I am completely satisfied with this work. However, the assembly crew is TERRIBLE!!! After I got my car back the first time, there was a laundry list of things damaged during disassembly and re-assembly, and some things that simply werent done correctly. Specifically, when the back bumper was dropped to prep for paint, it seems as if it was pried off with something metal, as I was left with cracked and chipped paint in that area. The same happened to the front bumper, with slightly less damage, but the front headlight was chipped as well. Maybe prying parts off vehicles is standard practice everywhere, but certainly collateral damage should be repaired. From the accident, the rear door outer shell had to be completely replaced, which Caliber did and painted nicely, yet they neglected to reattach the outer shell to the inside of the door. The door didnt close properly, and they couldnt figure out why. It only took me, someone who doesnt know anything about car repairs, a minute or two to figure out that it wasnt seated properly. The doors were also not aligned with the body of the vehicle, and the weather stripping around the front windshield wasnt put back the way it shouldve been. Additionally, the front valance was left hanging on the one side and the rear bumper wasnt completely screwed in. I should mention, the only actual damage from the accident to my car were both doors on the drivers side. Everything else that was touched by Caliber was done to fix the doors. I made an appointment to return to the shop to review all the things I was dissatisfied with; and was told by the lead technician that only the manager could authorize repairs, but he wasnt there. What?! Why make an appointment with someone if youre not in a position to help? When I was finally able to make an appointment with the manager, he agreed to all the repairs, and although he was not certain Caliber chipped the headlight, agreed to replace that as well. They also gave me a rental car for the week my car would be in the shop. When I returned to Caliber to pick up my car, I had a new headlight, the cracked and chipped paint on both bumpers had been fixed, the weather stripping was fixed, the rear door closed properly, and the outer shell was attached to the interior of the door. The front valance was not re-attached and rear bumper was not completely screwed in still. And the headlight was missing a very visible screw that attaches it to the car. Why?! Only the person at the desk was at the shop when I picked up my car, so there wasnt anyone in a position to immediately remedy the remaining problems. I live 45 minutes away from Caliber, and at this point its not worth another trip and the aggravation, so I figured I would just have a friend tidy up the loose ends Caliber continued to miss. Before I left the shop, I didnt check to make sure the headlight fully worked, which was something I shouldve done. The headlight works, but the marker light does not. Really?! Are they messing with me?! They must be because I cant imagine that a shop thats been in business for any length of time could neglect the little details so many times on the same car. If I ever need work done to my car again, when the insurance company asks if I have a preferred body shop rather than them choosing for me as they did for this repair, it will definitely not be Caliber Collision in Frederick!

Following the suggestion from USAA I decided to use Caliber as a one stop shop for getting my vehicle repaired. This turned out to be a huge mistake. The quality of the repair was poor and the shop refuses to take ownership of the total lack of craftsmanship. The paint color doesn’t match, there are runs in the paint, the hood, bumper and fender do not line up and there is a random broken sensor dangling from a wire under the number cover. Please use your better judgment before using this shop and check with your local dealer for their recommendations.

If you require good customer service stay away from Givens Collision. They were listed by State Farm as a preferred body shop so I took my sons Mazda 3 there for minor repairs. I called to schedule an appointment for the estimate and they told me to stop by anytime before 1630 hours. When I stopped in they told me theyd be with me in a few minutes. After about 20 minutes I went back inside to see if they had forgotten about me. About 10 minutes later they looked over the car. I asked if I could leave the car with them because I was going out of town and wasnt in rush to get the vehicle back. 3 days later I received a text message stating the car would be ready for pick up on 2/2 and they would call if they ran into delays. The morning of 2/2 I received another text stating the vehicle wouldnt be ready until 2/5. No big deal. On 2/5 around 1430 hours I called and spoke to Tim. He told me the car would be ready this afternoon and the latest it could be picked up was 1800 hours. I arrived at 1710 hours and they seemed clueless and asked if someone called telling me the vehicle was ready. I told them I had called a few hours ago and I was told to come in before they closed at 6. Several moments later an employee (didnt get his name) yelled at me for coming in without getting a call. He then told me they were working on 20 other cars and mine wasnt their only priority. He continued to raise his voice, in front of my 6 year old son, and told me this was a normal Friday for them and the vehicle wouldnt be ready until 6. I asked him why Tim told me to come in and he told me Tim had left for the day. The employee then said when you dropped off the car you said you werent in a hurry. I explained I was not in a hurry and this afternoon was the FIRST time I had ever called to check on the vehicles status since it was dropped off. When I called if I was told it wouldnt be ready until Monday I would have waited until then to get it with no compliant. He said rudely to come back Monday then. Im still battled by the whole situation, as it is my experience businesses dont like when you show up exactly at closing time to retrieve your car. I figured showing up within the hour of closing was acceptable and they would appreciate I didnt wait until the last minute. Apparently not at Givens. I hate to leave a harsh review on a local Frederick business but in this case its necessary to save someone from being treated poorly. There are plenty of other reputable body shops in the area and I urge you to give one of them your business.

I recently had my car sent to Givens due to a minor accident that apparently caused my axle to bend. They are listed as a State Farm select service repair center, which is why I sent my car there. It took forever!! It took 2 months for them to declare my car a total loss.My rear windshield wiper was stolen, and they broke my car key (thank goodness it was considered a total loss).Bruce (the guy who took care of my car) rated my car as fair, when I thought it would at least be in good condition. When I asked him why he rated it fair, he was basically describing a clean car. It was winter, and I had done two 6 hour trips with kids. I would have cleaned my car if I knew that would affect my condition rating (and how much I got back for the car!). He was adamant that most 10 year old cars were in fair condition, and that he was actually doing me a favor. You need to factor in that its an older car and ignore if its a bit messy. But when I told State Farm about everything, the representative agreed that my car was in good condition, which raised the value of my car $1,500.The receptionist was a little moody too. Sometimes she would be in a nice mood, sometimes shed snap at me. I was trying to figure out how I was going to pay for a rental car, and I had called and asked if Givens helps out with this, especially considering they were holding onto my car for so long. The receptionist was a little bit rude over the phone and basically dismissed me. She didnt apologize that Givens was taking so long, and she just said something like no sir. were not going to pay for your rental car. we dont do that.I think the representatives I dealt with could have shown a bit more courtesy, understanding, and professionalism. I mean, this is a service sector where customers are coming to you for help after an accident! But a few good things:Bruce seemed to be knowledgeable, was willing to speak with me when I had concerns.Their company sends you photos of your car and status updates via text. The receptionist was much more hospitable when I came in person and even gave me a bag to put my belongings in.Ive heard that Jay and his wife Jackie (the owners) are really nice people.

I received texts, per my request, with updates on my vehicle daily. 3 days later my vehicle was ready for pickup, delivery to me was seamless and quick, and my truck was repaired to my satisfaction, not to mention cleaned and detailed inside and out! You can see the paint sealer through the paint job, runs on every panel, door jambs half painted, paint on my dashboard and installed a leaking windshield. Door jambs half painted. then Ray agreed to repaint the truck and was scheduled to drop it off on the August 13, 2017 and he said it will take 7 to 10 days to paint the truck. fast forward to the 22nd of August I decided to call and see if the truck was ready. The front office help said that there working on the truck and Ray will call me back. About an hour later Ray called and said no the truck was not started and he was looking for paperwork. They had pulled the paperwork two weeks prior and approved the repair and to drop the truck off. He said he will call me back which he never did and when I did call him he said they decided to not paint the truck. This place has gone through so many managers and employee turn over the past year they dont know whats going on Lets see where this goes more to follow up on this company in Frederick, MD on Tilco Dr.

My car was sent here from another Calliber when it arrived back to my local center for pick up the headlight was not put in right and there was a huge gap in my fender and bumper that was supposed to be repaired. Plus there was paint chipped by my headlight. So it went back to get repaired only for me to TRY to pick it up again and it still had a gap and the headlight still was not put in right. I will NEVER return here for any repairs.

My Lexus was side swiped and USAA recommended this ship for repair. They kept me informed on the status and delivered on time, but when I picked up the vehicle it was so covered in pollen it was hard to look over their work. Its a black car and pollen was insane that day so its understandable but when picking up a vehicle that just had bodywork done on it, it should be clean for inspection. In any case, the quality of the repair was horrendous. You could see the underlying bodywork through the paint, there were holes all over in the polyurethane top coat as if it didnt flow properly or had contaminants, and the orange peel was worse than the factory which is saying a lot. Since I picked it up on a Saturday (by appointment only) there was no manager or techs present, but they lady covering down was very courteous and apologetic, and said the manager would contact me first thing Monday. He did not, but that was OK as I wasnt able to bring it back to them for inspection until later in the week anyway. When I brought back the vehicle everyone was very professional and the manager, paint tech, and one other came out to look at the vehicle and promptly owned up to the mistakes and vowed to make it right. I didnt have the time or desire to be without my vehicle after an already lengthy repair so I traded the vehicle in for a brand new one rather than deal with shoddy repair work.Nice people but terrible, amateur body work. I would never return and I do not recommend them to anyone. The vehicle should never have been delivered to the client in this condition as it shouldve been caught by an internal QA process. I informed USAA of the poor level of craftsmanship and I hope they re-evaluate having them on their list of preferred body shops.

If subpar is what you are going for then caliber collision in frederick is the body shop for you. while yes they did replace the damaged parts after an accident I had to point out imperfections that the manager, derek, couldnt see at all. some of the issues where fixed, after the regional manager got involve, but others where not. after 2 months of them trying to fix a whistle from the door they repaired, mean while causing damage to the interior door panel from removing it several times, I have cut my losses with caliber and am taking my vehcile to a different shop to fix the repairs. this shop location is very unprofessional and the only person at the place that is remotley understanding is the receptionist. the shop assures me they did not drive my vehice while it was being repaired yet a magical 222 miles were put on it from i droped it off to pick up. good luck if you ever take a vehicle to them for repairs, but I strongly recommend against it.

Youre treated great by staff, there are updates along every step, and they detail your car when work is done. Not sure about prices because my experience was the other drives liability, but they sure fixed my car like new!

I was recently involved in a rear end collision and when I called the local Kia dealership to see who they recommended they pointed me to Givens. I couldnt be more happy with the service. I was updated regularly by phone calls and photos sent by text and e-mail of the repair process. The entire team showed outstanding professionalism and did a great job at getting my 2011 Sorento looking the way it did before the accident; new!

Recently took my car to the Frederick Caliber Collision to fix the work that another location completed. This shop did an awesome job and kept me updated throughout the process!

In order to get the car back to normal took ~7 trips back for them to fix. After claying barring the car there is still grey primer over spray in the paint from when it was completed the first time, clear coat missing on fender and black paint on rear door. Car was in there hands for about 3.5 weeks. Received emails about a customer service form that i never received.Tried to rush the job and kept making mistakes. Huge headache and cost me a $$$

They honestly suck. I had been in an accident about 2 months ago and when I got the car back a bunch of lights on the dashboard were on and the steering wheel made a weird noise. Its been 3 weeks and I havent gotten my car back and I have to call them nonstop for updates because they never update you at all! Told my insurance company this is the last time Ill EVER be going there.
