Thanks to Big Star Hyundai and to Luis I was able to get my car! Luis is amazing he helps you in getting a great deal before you say yes! And if you don’t like what they offer he goes back to get you what you want! I totally recommend the dealership as well! The whole staff is friendly and courteous.
Adrian Galacia has made our daughters dream come true. She has been working hard for a new car and with the pleasant experience with Adrian, she drove off last week with a brand new 2022. We were there less than an hour. He worked on our negotiation of price and within minutes we were new happy lifetime customers. Thanks again Adrian, you are definitely a blessing to your customers.
My husband and I showed up at 9am to find the car I found online. Nick greeted us and realized we had a plan and he jumped right in to get us going. After some negotiations, we made a deal. Both Randall and Nick were courteous and professional. I love giving 5-star reviews to dealerships especially since they get a bap rep. Big Star Hyundai should be your next stop for a vehicle. I will purchase here again! Thank you!
One word: Robert. That’s all you need to know. This guy fought for us not only once but twice! He made it possible for me to drive off that lot with a smile on my face. He was super friendly and personable; he made us feel like we were family! He even had to deal with the crazy part of what families can be like from our whole ordeal. We are extremely grateful to him for his patience and for running around the dealership to find us our perfect car. His kindness and willingness to help will make your next car purchase smooth as butter. You cannot go wrong! 😊
Worst dealership, had me drive 3 hours from Louisiana after I was told I would be able to make a deal after telling them what I was pre qualified for numerous times before I made the drive. The price was higher that what was shown on the website and the car was suppose to have 10 miles but had 800 miles. All they are wanting to do is make more money off the cars than advertised. Would not recommend. All they had to do was be honest before I made a 3 hour drive there. Thanks for nothing
Absolutely ridiculous dealership. Called a day prior to ensure the sale price of a car, confirmed there would be no additional fees other than TTL and when I got there after driving 4 hours, which I had advised I was doing when confirming the price, was told a market adjustment of 10k would be added. Even after listening to the recorded call and TELLING ME THEY CONFIRMED THE PRICE I TOLD THEM WAS THE PRICE DISCUSSED, they wouldn’t honor the price. Wish I could sit outside the dealership and tell everyone coming in to turn around and walk away!!! What a joke of a dealership.
Sean Opersteny was awesome with getting my wife the car she wanted. Made our dreams and my promise to her come true Thank you, Sean again! Highly recommended dude to see.
Jose Soto was great he was honestly the only reason I bought the vehicle. He made sure I got a good deal. Will definitely be back to do business with him. If you are reading this ask for him. He will look out for your best interest.
If I could this place a negative 5 stars I would. The receptionist SUMMER down to the salesman Massine were the worst. They won’t let you speak to management and they will ignore your phone calls. Bought my car September 16 and been having problems since the second week of purchase.. No one seems to be able to help with the problems I’m having.. I bought a 2017 Cadillac XT5 which has a sunroof problem which stated in the contract it would be fixed.. Now the thermostat is messing up and oil is dripping from the car. All they care about is making a sell! First time buyer and this was the worst experience! Look somewhere else!!! They care nothing about customer service!!
Jose Soto was the best! He was pleasant, listened to us, was not pushy and helped us through the whole process. If youre looking for a good car and a dealership that actually cares about their customers and reputation, I highly recommend Jose Soto and Big Star.
I had a awesome experience at Big Star Hyundai. This was my first time buying a car and Moe was the person who sold me my car. He was so patient and really took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the car I chose. If anyone is looking to purchase a car I highly recommend talking to Moe!
Amazing experience! My sales associate Justin Massey was super attentive and made sure that I was getting a deal I was going to be happy with. Overall a smooth experience, it took me a single visit with him to find the perfect car for me! Excited to revisit the dealership for all the services that I receive as a now Hyundai owner.
I was very pleased with Luis from the start He was very understanding and the vehicle I wanted to purchase. And he has a sense of humor and great customer service. John in financing department He also has great customer service skills. I would recommend to go to them and explain what you’re looking for and price. I am very happy with my SUV.
I had a great experience being a “first time car buyer”! I think this experience was so great due to the helpful, and friendly staff. Randol is who helped me and he did phenomenal. He answered every question I had and made sure I had no further questions before letting me leave. I would recommend this place to any young first time buyer who has no clue what they are doing 😂 They even were able to get me a car note in my range that I was comfortable with no hesitation! So go Ron Carter Hyundai couldn’t of done it without you!
We worked with Jose at Big Star Hyundai and he went above and beyond our expectations! Great customer service and very friendly. No hassle, no games - he got us in the vehicle we came in for at the price we wanted! Highly recommend Jose Soto!
I had the pleasure of working with Nick in my process of buying a car, and he was amazing. He offered several options based on my needs, and they really helped me to decide on what vehicle to get. I definitely recommend him; hes a great, genuine guy!
If I could give this dealership negative stars I would. We had a terrible experience at Ron Carter Hyundai. We scheduled an appointment for test driving which was confirmed multiple times during the week. It was also confirmed by representatives of the dealership that the car we were interested in was available for test drive. Upon arriving after an hour and a half drive we were told the car is not available. When we expressed our discontent at the situation instead of taking responsibility and accountability the representative begin to tell us that the person who confirmed the test drive and car availability does not work for the dealership and is third party. She said that multiple times to which our response was that regardless if its third party they are representing Ron Carter. Not once did the sales representative apologize for this whole debacle rather proceeded to try and work the numbers on a car that is not available to even see. Granted there is shortage of vehicles but there was no concern for customer experience or satisfaction. During the time we were there we requested to speak to the manager, Paul Hewitt, 3 times who was eager to confirm our appointment before our arrival but did not have the courtesy to even come speak to us, hear our concern, take accountability, and did not acknowledge our presence in the least. This experience was the worst we have had at any service industry business.
Please be advised that Robert O is the best sales representative EVER! Why? Because he is knowledgeable, patient and personable when it comes to looking for a new vehicle. He made the process easy while he maintained his commitment to customer satisfaction. Robert is responsible, friendly, accountable and fair. He was the perfect fit for my needs. Guiding me through the process, I felt comfortable and at ease. He answered ALL my questions to my satisfaction. He was helpful by listening to my request and always communicated back in a timely manner. Very respectful, considerate of my time, always pleasant, and providing service after sale. Robert O! Y-O-U made me a very happy customer. Thank you for your excellent assistance with my purchase. I could not have been happier!#milesofhappiness
Sean Opersteny is the man to see! Absolutely recommend this salesman! He worked his behind off to get us what we wanted, kept us informed the entire way and made this process as stress free as possible. Highly highly encourage anyone looking for a vehicle to go see him!!!!
Called about a Ford F-250. I’m 4 hours away so I asked if I could see some walk around videos of the truck. The sales lady took my name and number and said she would shoot them over quickly. Never heard back. Two days later I called back and was seeing if somebody could help me out and they just keep transferring me around to people. The last lady I talked to, transferred me to someone else while I was in mid sentence still talking. Terrible customer service.
Not the greatest, the sales guy was nice doing his job I understand that., but they had all the incorrect information on file I had to follow up constantly to be told they can not give me my documents signed for the vehicle. From the time the vehicle was signed nothing was provided. Now I’m having to reach someone else to gather those documents. Unfortunately I was in need for a new car but definitely will not come back.
Such a wonderful place to get a car! I was in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes before they came and took care of what I needed. The process was handled with professionalism and understanding for my situation. They were all so kind, especially the man who sold me the car named Luis Delcid and the man who took care of me financially named John Hewiit. It was a very quick process and I was able to get my car washed and clean in such a quick amount of time. I was only at this place for a few hours before I was able to walk out with a beautiful car. Thank you so much and I look forward to coming back here in the future!
The dealers are very nice, but they lie to get you in the door. They called me and said that they are paying way over blue book value and that they will pay off your trade in. They will pay it off, but they will dump the negative equity on your new loan. They also appraised my trade in over $2,500 less than Carmax.
Smooth process here! Definitely recommend ask for Jose Soto this is the second vehicle I have bought from him different locations and I have gotten the same outcome. He works with you and has patience. He delivers on what he promises. Will definitely be buying from him in the future.
We found a car online and called about it we wanted to purchase it cash talked to someone about it he made an appointment told us to make sure to ask for him. They wanted a little more but the guy told us to come in and we can work it out we told him he did not want to finance anything he said he understands come on ask for him and we can test drive and work something out. We get there and he doesn’t even come to talk to us he send someone else and refuses to work anything out with us. My husband had to take off work for an hour he explained to the guy the day before we didn’t want to come if it was going to be for nothing and nothing could be worked out. That’s exactly what we did it’s a shame the guy we talked to the day before and made the appointment with wouldn’t even come speak with us
Brought vehicle in for warranty on engine failure. Very happy that they changed engine under warranty. But needed to have a check engine light fixed. They changed the fuel filler cap and it fixed problem for a week. Light came back on. Took it back thinking it would be covered as it was the same problem. Not so. Had to pay another $145.00 for diagnostics. Same code, same problem but different part bad. So paid $160.00 for a $20.00 fuel cap, plus they wanted to charge me almost another $500.00 to change another part for same problem. Not good at all. Will never take my car back here for service again.
Great buying experience!!! I want to specially thank Jose Soto and Sean they were both very kind and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back for an other vehicle.
We drove to Ron Carter Hyundai to test drive a Palisade. We met Eric Lopez on the lot, and immediately got keys to test drive two models. The Palisades are selling so fast, and they didnt have the color I wanted (white) on the lot. However, they had a burgundy model with the Calligraphy trim package (which I wanted) coming in that night. I was able to go in the next day, look at and test drive the burgundy model, and finalize the paperwork. Turns out, I LOVE the burgundy - much better than white! It was all a very fast, efficient, pleasant experience. Eric is the best!
Went to trade in my old car and upgrade my car and Jose was an absolute star. Made everything easy and was clear about all the prices and financing! Would definitely recommend getting with Jose if you’re looking to a new or pre owned car here
Jose Soto was great to work with. He was very patient and worked with our numbers to get it as close to what we were looking for to pay monthly. Very chill and easy going and doesn’t try pushing you to purchase something like most sales reps. I’d go to him again for future vehicles
Was very disappointed in the amount of misleading from the dealership just to get you in. Was told car i wanted was in stock but may not last until next day when I was coming. It still showed available that morning so we drove an hr to go see it, when I arrived they wanted us to test drive used instead of one we wanted. After test drive I find out they havent had any of those vehicles in stock for while and they were reserving future vehicles that may be in stock in 4 weeks. The one that showed instock was actually in Plano the other 11 showing in-stock really werent. Was told I would get at least $500 above a Carmax offer for a trade in but instead was offered $1500 less. When I questioned because it was printed on their website they said maybe I could get a little more and when I decided to leave mgr came and said they would try to match it . Was told they werent doing a huge market adjustment like other Hyundai dealerships, however theirs ended up being over double a market adjustment than all 6 others dealerships I had talked to. Was told they would use True Car website to compare what vehicles were selling for in market and use that to get me the best price in town. I had True Car pricing on my phone so I could compare. Asked for Best drive out price and was given a huge price almost 15K over True Car Price and 20 K over invoice price as best offer so we decided no but then was told they can probably lower it. Was told they could not give me exact price because finance didnt run my credit but i received a credit karma notice that they had done a hard inquiry already. I wouldnt have minded the wait for vehicle we wanted or price if we werent misleading so much.. Left and went to another dealership and bought vehicle after feeling appreciated and not lied too.
Scammer alert. Prices listed online are not what you will be paying at the dealer. I was already expecting taxes, title, inspection and some dealer fees. Was willing to pay cash for a brand new Venue. They did not have what we wanted and the guy told us that no dealer around had what we wanted. Tried to sell me a more expensive model AND wanted to add an extra $5000 “market fee” because of the chip shortage. What a joke. We left and found another dealer with the exact Venue I wanted for $9000 less than Ron Carter was trying to charge. Don’t waste your time there.
Great Service they are extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to solving any issue I have ever had. I truly appreciate the care they extend to me and always go above and beyond to make sure that I am taken care of completely. Great dealership a real family environment.
I have been in the automotive industry for 35+ years and have never seen anything quite like these people. They do not honor their website prices and my particular vehicle I wanted to sell or trade their offer was 3k less YES that is 3 thousand less they offered than other dealers fighting to get my nice 2015 RAM. And the vehicle I wanted was 2k more than advertised. They are CROOKS in my honest opinion
Dallas and Jose where great they where straight forward and honest about the usually hidden fees instead of trying to bs you which I really appreciated. I left with a used car that had a few issues but they where able to take care of everything
Adrian was the best!! He got us the best deals and was very honest with us, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy!
The absolute worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my entire life. I went in to the location and a black lady assisted me. We started out by test driving. After coming back I told her I was already approved by my bank and for the amount I was approved for. Rather then saying well these venues start off a lot more than you were approved for, did you plan on putting the difference down? She replied with thats not enough, did u even consider the taxes? Licensing? And because your not financing through us you dont get the 1,500 Hyundai rebate. She also began working with another customer while assisting us. We decided to pass on the car. Two days later I received a call from PAUL he claims he was a manger there. He was very rude and condescending. He spoke in a manner where it felt like he was belittling me. Also kept telling me about a chip shortage and how Ron carter was number 3 on sales in the nation. Honestly I dont care about your sales and if your customer service is like this to all customers Im not sure how you guys are number 3. While on the phone he said he wouldnt be able to adjust the price by 700. The 700 would have to be something I get over. Also proceeded to say that I can look at other dealerships but Ill come crawling back because either they wont have the car or they have lied over the phone. Needless to say I got off the phone with him, called sterling McCall Hyundai and was driving in my BRAND NEW VENUE BY 3pm! Thank you Ron Carter for such HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I actually got a better deal on the venue at McCall, I got the 1,500 rebate that you wouldnt apply because I wasnt financing through you guys, and I also was treated like an actual human and not just a paycheck!
Buying a car was easy. Afterwards is another story. I have called financing 7 times and have received 1 blow-off call back. Theyre gap insurance is 3x the going rate. I just want to cancel it but cant because Im not able to talk to anybody. 7 calls, 1 call back. Not very good average.
Don’t go here if you don’t want to waste your time. I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but they have turned away a customer who wanted to purchase a specific vehicle at listed price. Easy sale. They play too much and waste people’s time.
Great customer service experience. Jose Soto was very friendly and helpful explaining the details about the car I was buying. 100% recommended.
Worst car dealership ever LIES LIES LIES the listed price was a lie. Drove 45 minutes to see the car which was nice and priced proper and he said at the end that is the CASH price then added in 10,000 addition fees so went from listed price 23,588 to $33,588. CROOKS they were so busy because they do this dirty game all day every day WASTING peoples valuable time. NEVER GIVE them business TRASH next dealership up with some ethics.
The place was very welcoming and clean and I thought our sales rep was quite nice. I went to Ron Carter to purchase my wife a new car knowing this was probably not the best time to do so. We were shocked & surprised when we sat down to negotiate and the best offer we received was $4000 over MSRP. I would have understood not budging from the sticker price but I felt it was a bit short sighted to overcharge customers by14% over MSRP. Now youve lost a customer for life.
I love my car, but Ron Carter Hyundai was a terrible experience! The most unpleasant car purchase ever. Manager (Paul Hewitt) and salesperson (Arin Robeson) did not work well together, or with us. Ms. Robeson made some promises that she never kept. Do not believe anything she says and request to get the information from her manager if you want to avoid misunderstandings. Better yet, do not buy at this dealership.
Jose Soto was great he helped me out so much with lil down payment ! Love this place
Thank you so much Mueen! I appreciate all of your help.
Ron Carter Hyundai altered my lease contract 2 weeks after I signed it without my knowledge.I am coming up on the end of my lease and chose to take advantage of my buyout option. After connecting with Hyundai motor finance, they informed me that my original contract was sent back to Ron Carter 2 WEEKS after I signed it, requesting they edit the gross capital cost of my vehicle. Ron Carter Hyundai’s finance department did so, without informing me or requesting I sign a new contract. This changed the residual value on my car and therefore my buyout option.Ron Carter Hyundai is sneaky, deceptive, and should not be trusted.I highly recommend avoiding this dealership. This experience is extremely frustrating, especially because this was my second car I leased/bought from this dealership.
DO NOT SHOP HERE!! The car salesmen are pure JOKES. They tried to tell me I couldn’t get a car because there was a repossession on my credit score, WHICH WAS A LIE. I was involved in a car accident, which totaled my car and my insurance paid it off. There was no repossession involved in that matter. Ron Carter didn’t want to help me. They’re cowards & liars. I went to Sterling McCall and was able to drive off the lot with my brand new car in a breeze. DO NOT SHOP AT SHADY RON CARTER.
Great service!! I enjoyed Jose Soto’s help and personality. Excellent customer service!!!
Marcos really made this vehicle purchase extremely simple and painless. My wife loves her new explorer!
Terrible experience. Went in for a car that was 30k and the sales man James Tillman quoted me 43k for a car that has many imperfections. I still can’t understand why but he was not helpful at all and wasn’t even trying to get me a better price or even work with me. I loved the car but 43k? For a used vehicle? No
Jose was attentive, prompt, honest and professional. Made experience easy! Would refer family and friends to him.
Total waste of time. Called and talked to two salespeople (Justin & Angelica) and was told that the vehicle we wanted to purchase was in stock. Actually we were told there were 5 on the lot. We scheduled a test drive for the same day and drove from an hour way. Once we arrived, they tried to show us a used vehicle and get us to order the vehicle we wanted. We left upset shortly afterwards. If they can’t tell the truth about their current stock then I definitely don’t want to purchase a vehicle from them. I wasted time and gas dealing with them. I do not recommend Ron Cater Hyundai.
BUYER BEWARE!!! If I could give no star rating this business would get it. We wasted our time there. We called about a car online and price......we test drove and when we were ready to buy cash the price all of a sudden went up 3 000 andpeople that was before tt&l. Was told that was an error BUT 5 days later carstill online with that price. Sounds very sketchy to me. We went to STERLING McCALL TOYOTA and bought a vehicle they had offered at same price as advertised the next day! We will never do business with this establishment. Dont waste your time going there.MCCALLS
Great customer service! I walked out with a 2021 Palisade and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you to the manager and the financial manager Mr.Hewitt and thank you the Sales Rep Moe for convincing me to get the car i really appreciate it! Very happy customer and I would recommend anybody to go and buy a hyundai you will not regret it.
Would like to give a shout out to Robert and Louis at Ron Carter Hyandai! They made the purchase of my Santa Fe very easy. They were very straight forward, addressed any concerns or questions I had and got me in the car I wanted. I would definitely recommend them!!
As a person who has always bought cash cars, this was a huge step for me. I was not really sure what I wanted to finance or what I was looking for. I had been to over ten dealerships before coming to this one. Every single time I would leave feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Most car salesman can be very persistent and try to pressure you into a car you do not really want. I went into this location honestly feeling defeated that I was no where closer to finding my new car. And then I met Matthew Parmer. He was so patient, kind, and helpful. In all reality, I hate buying cars; it is not something I have ever looked forward to. However, you can tell he genuinely cares and that he takes pride in what he does. His positivity and customer service is outstanding. Thank you for helping me get my dream car, and for going the extra mile. I will never go anywhere else from here on out.
I highly recommend working with Zach to anyone looking for a new vehicle. I greatly appreciated his honesty, candor, and professionalism throughout the entire car-buying process. Great service.
Mr. Jose Soto was very helpful and sooo nice! He helped me purchased my first car!
Stay far away! They will smile in your face and stab you in the back. Car shopping is inherently stressful, but everyone here was reasonably nice at first. I did the typical dance with the salesman where they pretend like you have to add every single extra warranty. I declined them all and we eventually agreed on the price.I finally get back to the financial manager (Jimmy Kirby) and he goes through everything very quickly. There was one warranty on the leather that he insisted was included in the price Id already agreed on with the salesman, despite me questioning it. I should have looked more closely, but after 6 hours at the dealer I was exhausted (which is of course one of their tactics). When I got home, I saw that the included leather warranty actually tacked an additional $950 onto my loan. I immediately emailed the financial manager to point out the error and he again insisted that it was included. I pointed out the difference in price from what I had agreed to with the salesman and at that point he admitted it was a misunderstanding and had me sign a cancellation form and said that the refund would be applied to my account in about 60 days. Now we are almost 4 months out and no refund has been applied and no one will answer my calls or emails. I have tried to get in contact with the financial manager, the general manager and the general customer service email to get a status update with zero response. Would not recommend this dealer to anyone.UPDATE: A couple weeks after posting this review, I received a call from their Customer Relations Manager, Deedee. Guess they didnt like the bad press. She refers me to their Finance Director, Shane, who does not respond. For a month, I go round and round with Deedee as she tries to find someone who can help. At one point I was told that there was nothing to cancel (then why did I sign a cancellation form?) and eventually was routed back to Jimmy who leaves me a voicemail saying they cant honor the cancellation because I agreed to the price. I mean, I also agreed to/signed the cancellation, but whatever. Its clear to me that the entire thing was a scam. If the price was truly set in stone, they could have said that back in January when I asked to cancel or at any point in the 5 months after that as I tried to follow up rather than being cowards and wasting my time. Its terrible customer service and just a really awful way to treat people in general.
I purchased a new 2022 Kona here and Stephen was more than helpful he went out of his way to make sure I got the right car for me it was all around an amazing experience.
Love this dealership! The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Special shout out to the service team you guys are warriors!
The entire buying experience was awesome. The Sales specialist was very knowledgeable and very responsive. I really like the fact that the Sales Manager came out to greet me and made sure I was taken care of. Even the finance manager was very thorough and expa,i Ed the various purchasing options and helped me decide the best route to take based on my credit score, to ensure i save the most money. I definitely recommend Ron Carter Hyundai as a good dealership to buy from.
Worst car buying experience ever. I went to buy a new palisade, was not notified of the one I wanted sold, but next day find it out it wasn’t sold and still available . They attempted to put me in a higher priced one, stayed to work the deal but the numbers for the vehicle and my trade in were absolutely disrespectful and way off! They would not accept my CarMax offer, even though their site claims they will!! I HAD TO LEAVE AND DRIVE TO CAR MAX TO GET THE RIGHT OFFER, when I came back I was denied service. They did mention to start my deal tomorrow, but was ignored all day!! And now the vehicle I am interested in is sold with no other ones available!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Worst dealership they are a huge scam we thought going to a big dealership like this one we would get an honest car and honest service we were wrong! Our nightmare started within only a month of having our vehicle. The problems began with our break system it went out on the freeway almost causing us to crash. Repairs for that were a 1,000 within a few days our car began leaking oil we took it to get diagnosed and the repairs will be 13,000 mind you the car we got is only 20,000 we tried multiple times to go talk to the dealership they turn us away every time telling us If we help yall we would have to help everyone what kind of customer service is that?! Knowing they sold us a LEMON CAR !
Nick Hernandez is over heck of a salesman ... I wouldnt have thought to actually start as long as did at any dealership, but he made me and my son who went along with me, feel like family!... I give Nick Hernandez at Ron Carter Clear Lake Hyundai two thumbs up!!! Thanks Nick... And of course you too, Brandon Sandoval!!!
We are very frustrated with this dealership.Today we found a nice car with very attractive price.I gave them a call and spoke to Bonny. She confirmed “the car is available, come and ask Bonny”.Ok, we drove two hours from other part of the city.Once we arrived we were told that Bonny is not available as well as the car!We were told “ Check our inventory”.So we did. We learnt that prices shown on their website are not true.If you want to buy a car you will have to pay additional 3-4 k for the warranty service. This service is not optional. It’s crazy.Stay away from this dealership.
I just bought the car of my dreams and it is all thanks to Ron Carter Hyundai, especially to Mr. Robert Offord.Mr. Offord went above and beyond to help me; Im very grateful for everything he did to make sure I got my Palisade. My credit needs improvement and they helped me find a good financing option. Mr. Sheppard at the Financing Department was very courteous, helpful and he answered all my questions.Such a positive experience buying my car here! I highly recommend them!
My experience at Ron Carter was good in general. CJ was very helpful and willing to compromise so that all of us were able to get a satisfactory deal. He went out of his way to remove unwanted pin stripes from our new vehicle. John was also extra helpful giving us advice when my previous insurance was trying to charge me an unreasonable premium. Be aware our car buying experience lasted for more than 5 hours, bring snacks!
Terrible dealership who will take advantage of young first time buyers. Went and bought a truck and got in over my head and I went back within a month of buying the truck to see if we could come up with a solution to get me in something cheaper and they turned me away and didn’t want to help at all. They are all about getting their commission and not actually helping out the customer. Don’t go to Luis Delcid @ Big star Hyundai bc he’s all about tacking on extra money to his commission.
Liars, they dont offer msrp and they attempt to charge over msrp. They lied about their msrp buyback event as well. Do not buy from them they wanted 43k for a 35k palisade because its more to finance....These guys are a joke. I found the same palisade for msrp price of 36k online through carmax. They also bought my car for what I owed on it. Dont waste your time here.
The worst place to buy a used car. They have deceptive salesman and very poor salesman. First I sat there over 2 hours waiting to be help. When I made a sink about then finally someone came. They told me over the phone that I was approved for a certain amount then come to find out that I wasn’t. Then kinda pushed a different truck on me rather then the one I wanted, which is my fault for allowing it. When I got my truck home noticed it had bad tires. Then had it inspected and it also has a bad strut. The calipers have groves in them which make a lot of noise when breaking. So I contacted the sales ( which his name is Leo) didn’t get a call back until I left a nasty message. He gave me the old Corporate answer of I will talk to my manager. Which again didn’t hear back. Then my service light came on. So I called him again but again no answer. I called the dealership made a complaint and they said I get one oil change for free so I set an appointment. Guess what after I complained then I finally heard back from my salesman. I told him about all of the problems and again he said that he will talk to his manager and again I have never heard back from him. So I brought it in for the “free oil” which they should have done before they ever sold the Vehicle. Anyway they were supposed to change the oil and wash it. Two and half hours later they said it’s done. When I went to pick it up the rims were still dirty, my service light is still on, and the seat had been push all the way up the the steering wheel. When I went in to complain they oh sorry can you bring it back tomorrow so we can reset the light. Not once did they say let me get that fixed right now or let me make this right for you. They didn’t care at all. I have bought 4 other vehicles from Ron Carter in Alvin and was a happy and loyal customer. Sorry not anymore you all have lost me for life. Also do not and I MEAN DO NOT DEAL WITH LEO he is a terrible salesman.
Posting this here because they blocked me on Facebook for saying this AND deleted my comment.I went there and they offered thousands under the msrp for my 2012 Elantra and they never even test drove it. Had nothing wrong with the car. Plus the lobby smelled like someone left a diaper in there. The people there were extremely creepy and kept stopping to stare at my girlfriend and then continue on. We never even got to go to anyone’s desk either, they left us in the lobby forever and we had nobody to speak with. Just took my keys and left us to their creepy employees stares. Made us super uncomfortable, we’re unprofessional, and made us feel unwelcome. Do not go here.
I suggest you dont buy a car at this deceptive dealership. If I could, Id give them ZERO stars. We purchased a new 2020 Santa Fe and was promised a $100 gift card. The gift card we got was for outlet malls that Ive never heard of and you had to shop online. There were several sales people whom were very rude and one particular salesman named Moe told us if you want to buy a car, we can help you, then if not, happy new year and goodbye. Also, when you message the dealership online, the person whom you talk to doesnt actually physically work there at the dealership, they just work at a call center. We were expecting to meet a certain sales person and the dealership said that person doesnt work there. When we decided to purchase the car, we asked for zero percent financing (I have excellent credit) and the finance manager said they dont offer that rate and was a real jerk. My wife then had to show them were it said they do offer zero percent on their website, and then they offered us that rate. They also failed to tell us we get free oil changes every 6,000 miles and charged us an extra $300 for a white colored car. Makes me ask the question if white colored cars are a rarity these days. Our salesman David did try to sell us a 2020 loaner Santa Fe with over 5,000 miles already on it and scratched paint, because that was the color car we wanted. I did ask him for a few thousand dollars off since it already had mileage on it, but was told they couldnt do that. Then, I asked if I bought a new car from them and then returned it to sell back with 5,000 miles on it and damaged paint, would they give me the full MSRP price, which predictably, he said no. Also, be careful about the extra charges they try to add on to the sales price, like nitrogen in the tires. The air we breath is already 75% nitrogen, so that add on is another deceptive sales scam. It doesnt help increase fuel mileage. Oh, and forget about speaking to the General Manager. Youll never get to see him. His minions make up fake reasons not to see you and push you off onto someone else, most likely Dede, whom doesnt really help you anyways. Then finally, if you bring your vehicle there for maintenance or repairs, be sure to take a lot of before pictures. We brought our car in last week for an oil change and somehow they cracked our windshield. They tried denying they caused it, but luckily we had before pictures, so they had to replace it. BTW, reading some of these 4 star reviews, some of them seem fake to me.
DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP!!If I could give negative stars I would. Do not by any insurance or service packages. The worst customer service in the world. I dont recommend purchasing a car here as well. It is a horrible experience. Service department is terrible. They actually hung up in my face today after a scheduled appointment and no one has any clue why im here
James Tillman was easy to work with and made the car buying process go smoothly. He answered our questions and concerns honestly.
My husband and I visited this dealership yesterday and I could not believe how awesome the salesman was that helped us. Matthew is not your typical salesman. He was very helpful, honest and offered one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dealership. He was very knowledgeable and super funny. The car he showed us was beautiful and super clean. I would definitely recommend visiting this dealership and asking for Matthew Parmer.
Worst dealership. Called they said they had the car we drove up their 20 mins. Now they say car was sold but we have another car 8k more. Ask to talk to the person I talked to on the phone. They said she was a machine. Manger said I should of ask fir a pic of the keys to the car. Don’t trust them
Great experience, James assisted me and made the process pain free which is rare when car shopping. Highly recommend this dealership, specially James
My wife and I went on a Friday afternoon to look at potential cars. We met with the salesman Ryan. At first we wanted a Palisade and Ryan was very educational about the pros and cons. We trusted Ryan and test drove a Santa Fe. We discussed numbers and Ryan said they had a 2022 full loaded Tucson. We had reservations about the size as we are expected in January. Ryan went into the dealership, found and co worker who had a car seat and she let him put it in our car to see the size. We decided to go with the the Tucson. While working the numbers, my wife started to get hungry as we were there for 5 hours at this point and she is pregnant. Ryan went to chick-fil-a and got us nuggets and fries. We walked away with the Tucson and couldn’t be happier. The process was long (6 hours) but the customer services Ryan showed was beyond expectations. We will definitely be returning to Ron Carter Hyundai and Ryan.
******Luring in customers with false information*****Called and inquired about the leasing offer for the Venue and was told the vehicle is in stock. However, upon reaching the dealership after a 1hr drive, found out the vehicle is not available. Then why did they say it was available over the phone. Lying to customers is never acceptable for a business. From the previous reviews, it is evident that honesty is not a priority at this establishment. Will never return.
Went there looking for an used car and left with a brand new 2021 Sonata N-Line ! Ryan and Justin are amazing! Made my experience very easy and definitely recommend to anybody looking for to buy a car ! They take their time to make you feel like a friend and family! Real down to earth guys and always going the extra mile to meet your expectations and make sure you get all the little details you are looking for ! From now on I won’t buy from anybody else ! Once again Ryan and Justin are the go to guys ! Amazing customer service !
Came in on a busy Friday afternoon and was greeted by the kind folks at the counter and asked to wait in the sitting area, I expected to wait a while so I grabbed a free water and sat down. Moments later James Tillman came over, despite being with other customers, to let me know he was just wrapping up and would be with me in a moment. That was so great!James is a real nice guy, not at all pushy, and listened to what I was looking for, showed me the perfect car, and skillfully got to work on the paperwork. In the end the price wasnt right, so I thanked him for his help and took off.Come Saturday morning, I get an unexpected call from James saying he had spoken with his team and that he could offer the exact car I had seen at a great price! I rushed on back and in about an hour was driving home in a sweet new ride!Great guy and you can count on him for a great experience!
Thanks to Jose soto for helping me out get the car i wanted took care of business quick and in a very profesional manner…very happy customer here of BIG 🌟HYUNDAY!!🥳
Durran and Antonio where the best! Love my new Elantra. Glad Im out of that old Cadillac!
The advertisement was that anyone with a job would be approved. This was not the case. They said we were two months behind on our current auto payment when we have been on time for close to two years now. We were treated rudely for the 10 minutes we were actually talking to a person.
I was charged for my complimentary oil changes because service employees failed to look in the computer for the warranty I bought. Tried to get a hold of the service manager and for some reason its like he doesnt exist because for 6 months I can never get a hold of him. They finally wrote me a check that was supposed to be ready 08/19 and its not ready. I cant get ahold of the manager or Harley, who were supposed to call me Thursday to let me know to pick up my check.
Great service and a free car wash and vacuum. Cant beat that. I always bring my car to Ron Carter because I know my service rep Adrian Chapa will take good care of my vehicle.
Very poor customer service sales, waited for half hour no one came to help.took appointment after 7 pm waited lost my work hour because I took off from work to buy a truck from Big star. So sad they couldnt help with a sales person waited and I had to leave
Very grateful for James Tillman and his help getting a deal. We were worried with the market how it is that nobody would work out a deal with us, but thankfully we worked something out so we could get a new car.
I went to Ron Carter Hyundai for the free food, and ended up buying an incredible ram 2500 diesel 4x4 SLT mega cab Thanks to Luis Delcid! He was incredibly professional and straight to the point, and willing to help in every fashion! Highly recommend him for anyone not wanting to sit through A hurricane of doubletalk. Luis Is the standard!
Jose Soto was 🔥 dude got the job done quick. I was in an out.
Went into the dealership based on an internet price for a used car of $8900. Test drove the car and when it came to purchasing the car we were presented with an invoice of $14,000. We were charged $1500 for destination price which there was none since the previous owner drove to them. Then a charge over $1000 for accessories that were paid for by the original owner and the other owners. After haggling their best price was $12900 to which we declined. It’s a shame that they advertise for close to $9000 and charge $4000 in excess fees. What a bait and switch. I will say our salesman Josh did his best to help us. So buyer beware and read the small print .
I went to the dealership to lease a Hyundai sonata but left disappointed. I had made an appointment for 5:30 to learn that the model wasnt available when I arrived. Why wasnt I told this when I emailed in the morning? Then the salesman told me to return when I was ready to lease. I told him I was ready but I needed some clarification on the numbers. He said the numbers are in the website. Is this the way to treat a prospective client? Am I in the wrong? Somebody, please enlighten me.
Everything went smoothly with my purchase, but after 2 days my taillight goes out, the next day I go up there thinking Its going to be fixed as I was told it would be . After about 5-6 hours of waiting i find out the workers have all gone home without making any fix to my vehicle . ( I was never informed about this but left waiting ) . I was given a rentals car due to this delay . The next day comes and I asked about the progress made on my vehicle. I was told my vehicle needs 2 taillights and a harness, the order was placed for these items and then they get back ordered . I understand there can be issues that occur with the orders, the lack of communication is my problem . I was never just given an update, I would have to call or text for the progress being made and then I would find out all of these delays that have come up . I am a first time buyer and just expected a bit more professionalism on the communication part.On top of that the rental I was given expired after 2 days of having it and to find out the parts have been back ordered for nearly 2 weeks i’m sure you could understand my frustration.
This place was a complete waste of time. We came in to look at a car that was priced under 24k and when we sat down to talk money they tacked on an additional 11k in fees. Lots of back and forth and they would not budge. To us, this was dishonest and unfair fees were charged. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.
Very deceptive practices at this dealership. Communicated all weekend with Bonnie and Justin and they told me they had the vehicle I needed. I was ready to purchase it cash and informed them I would be driving over an hour so I wanted to be certain they had it on the lot. They again assured me they did.Arrived today and spoke to Nick who eventually told us they did not, in fact, have the vehicle on the lot but could sell it to us if we were willing to wait till SEPTEMBER for it to come in. Im not sure if he knew that the vehicle was not on site when he was getting our information.I get that there is a chip shortage but I wish they had been straight with us from the get go before we wasted time and gas driving all the way out here. Left a bad taste in my mouth and would not trust them after that.
Thank you hector for the Lexus I love this car
