Not very helpful since they have u pulling your own parts. Use to be able to call, and a representative would check computer to see if they could help u. I mean how hard is it to cross reference for a rim for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Unfortunately junk yards are getting harder to find and when u are one of the last few in town they have u by the short hairs
I just called here this morning and spoke with Chris. While they did not have the part I was looking for, this gentleman was better on the phone than my bank and my insurance company. Funny how the gruff companies always seem to do better.
I love going to the junkyard reminds me of when I was younger going with some friends of mine blue and golds been here for a long time and hopefully itll be here forever
Blue and Gold made selling my daughter’s car quick and easy! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Karen was awesome!
Guys and gals are doing gold are friendly .that keep the place nice and neat . The most important no ankle twisting rocks LOL. Was surprised to see having big truck parts sweet.
A set of rims at lkq costs 323.00. But the same size at blue and gold costs a lot less. If the tires are not usable they will give them to you. Nobody else does that. With this pandemic going on people hours are cut . Money low. But their cars still need to run. If you need a part . This is the place. The staff are professional and outstanding.Awesome job . Best in the low country hands down.
Helped me and my employer get what we needed and assisted us in every way necessary. Good prices and great people. Recommended highly for all automotive needs.
A1 operation! No complaints have I overheard. Ive made several visits...they make things easy. Come in and get your part and your on your way.Caution! Get everything you need right then because the car may be gone to the crushing pile and theres no getting it back when this happens. No fault of the staffs.
Large variety. Good prices and easy to get to vehicles
Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Yard is laid out w organization and is easy to navigate. Prices are great!! Would Recommend this business to anyone w automotive needs.
Helpful employees, and a great selection with Great prices.
Excellent place for auto parts. They have everything you can imagine. Super cool staff especially Karen! Highly recommended
Drove an hour to get to Blue and Gold. Website says open till 5. Arrived at 4:15 and was told its too late. I asked if the website is clear about the policy you need to arrive by 4pm. Wish I could attach a screen shot that shows the hours and no mention of the policy. I knew exactly what I needed, exactly where the car was (from a prior trip). The part is literally a 2 screw removal. They were more interested in turning away easy business than asking me do you know what you need and can you be out by closing time at 5?. My answer would have been...see you at the register in 5.
Dan and all employees are very helpful. Wayyyyyy better than other pick a parts
Great service. Needed a car picked up and they were there in 20 minutes. Dan the man was great help.
Pull your own part nice place plenty of vehicles to look through
Great place for used or refurbished auto parts. could save you a whole lotta cash and time n
I emailed them about selling my old busted vehicle. They replied quickly. We made arrangements and things went very smoothly. I love dealing with locals! They are so kind, I felt like I was doing a transaction with friends!
Absolutely wonderful staff! So helpful.
Blue and Gold was the third salvage yard that my son and I went to looking for a part. They were by far the most organized and helpful. I was more than a little lost and in need of assistance. The employees, and the owner himself, helped me find what I needed and were very honest about whether or not a part was good enough for me to take. I am so grateful for their help and will definitely recommend them!
I love these types of businesss! I couldnt believe that it was so close to town. Go, buy, save!
As far as knowledgabiliy goes theyre great! You need help lifting? You better bring some kind of help!!
Good people helpful
Didnt have what I wanted this time but was very knowledgeable and helpful.
When I got there I was given map of what location I needed for the part that I was searching for Barry guided me right to it with the map he provided. The customer service was great! Offered water to us and all!! I definitely would recommend to a friend.
This place has an extensive collection of vehicles, Id beleive a thousand if they told me. They give you a well made lot map, all the rows are clearly marked, and the prices are very fair. They also have free cold water when for when youre out there a while.
Good selection, helpful staff.
It was very nice clean organized and what should be expected at a junkyard they are a model junkyard
Excellent place to go pull your parts and they are very knowlede able and fare
Great experience, awesome front counter personnel. Found what I needed with no problem, and easy exchange if the part doesnt work.
They were very clean and well organized and found most of the items needed for my truck there that I couldnt find at the beach
This is a vehicle salvage yard that allows you to take your own tools and pull parts off vehicles in their facilities stock yard. It is located close to the highway however it is not close to the interstate access area. It was my first time visiting the location, because I dont live in the area.
Decent place, I will visit again, Conso heat
Found everything I need.
Had what I needed at a good price
These guys will find your parts love them
Wonderful people work here. Clean yard. My first time going there will be back!!
I like this place but its big; really big. Wear good shoes, no sandals or flip flops. Do not go alone if youre not in good health because if you have a fainting event they wont find your body for weeks. Take frozen water, a couple of sports drinks, sandwiches, your phone or a radio to call for help.I like paying the $2.00 admission fee just so I can look around at the perfect cars and wish I had known the owners so I could have some bought some of them to fix them up for myself. spend two bucks and look around for yourself.
Guy who answers phone was rude and so unhelpful
Had the parts we needed.
Good people to deal with always have a good time there
The people there are always friendly and helpfull and their prices are good
Some of the nicest people to deal with prices are great and customers service is ATTT no problems with returning items LOVE it
Great service, cheap prices and a sheet showing where cars are located that fit your parts needs! Wow! Easy and quick! Thanks
Acted faster than others and paid more, Karen is the best
Well I have to say it was my first time in a salvage yard and I did not know it was so organized. They put a wrist band on you, give you a map and circle where the cars are that you are looking for. Cars were on rows and they were numbered. Had a great time and found a few things I wanted to take home and put to good use.
I have a store credit of $27 after returning a malfunctioning stereo. And I came back after one year to find out that the credit expired... it’s not written on the credit receipt it will expires and nobody told me that, so I just loose that money, it isn’t fair...the lady upfront don’t even tried to help, just said that it’s impossible to override. They should tell people that the credit expiresI’m Definitely not buying there anymore and I’ll tell everyone I know to think twice before going there
Hands down the best yard in the Charleston area. Staff is pleasant and knowable and the best part and also what separates them from ALL of their competition is they ACTUALLY track what vehicles they have in the yard, the isle they are on(isles are marked on each end vehicle), they give you a print-out of all of the vehicles in stock that youre looking for and the icing on the cake is they also give you a map! Pricing is fair and about average but the ease of part picking and finding what you need is priceless. They are still upgrading the yard and this place is sure to only get better as time goes on.
Its nice to see people caring about your experience. They were helpful and acted like they wanted you to come back. I cant say the same for the other place. The national chain one that is dirty and dangerous. Looking forward to going back to a Blue and Gold to find more parts!
Awesome place. Great service and very helpful !
Great parts and prices
Good price, organized well.
People there are so rude
I done business with Dan for over 30 years. Hes a really good guy and tries his best, but the in recent years, employees seem to have an attitude. Like the new set up, but YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO TELL THE CUSTOMERS IF THE VEHICLE HAS THE PARTS YOU NEED. CREATE AN ONLINE INVENTORY LIKE ALL OF THE OTHER PICK YOUR PART SALVAGE YARDS IN THE USA.
Always good service
Lots of good parts they want let u in the yard after 4 pm but they close at 5 makes no sense wouldn’t recommend going here unless you get there early
25 acres of all different makes & models of vehicles if you are looking for a salvaged yard to find parts, they are located in Goose Creek, SC.
Cool and. Close
Awesome folks... great selection.. dont forget to bring your tools.
Pull your own part. Directions given to find the vehicle. Entrance fee to look in yard. But no guarantee that you will find your part. Customer service friendly. Would give 5 stars if advised that the part is definitely there to pick.
I just received the BEST service EVER from Jason. My car has been broken down for 5 months and finally the part needed was located at Blue and Gold. Unfortunately, with not having a working car I was not able to go to Goose Creek and get the part. Jason was courteous enough to ask me to send him a picture of the part. Once he received the picture he immediately went and retrieved the part. Jason even offered to mail me the part. The part is in the mail and I should be back on the road shortly. Jason, thank you to you and your team for excellent service.
Nice staff plenty of vehicles. 4 stars because of the grumpy forklift driver.
Friendly service just dont go after it rains lol.
Helpful and friendly, nice set up easy to find what your looking for.
Friendly Staff. Inventory well marked on map and provided to me for easy find. Had what I was looking for - cant beat the price. Thanks B&G!!!!
Lots of vehicles. There cheap now because you pull your own parts now. Very friendly people. I go here first now. LKQ should learn customer service like B&G....
Actually, nothing to relate ... theyre not open on the weekend anymore. Any dedicated auto parts business has Saturday operating hours ... and gives their employees Sunday and Monday off ... to facilitate potential customers who can ONLY get there on a weekend ... or who can ONLY work on their cars on a weekend. This company ... apparently no longer cares enough to open their doors on Saturday ... so I call that really Poor-Fair. If they ever get their work ethic back, Ill write another review. In THIS economy ... comfy work schedules dont pay and companies need to pull in every penny they can. Saturday would be the very best dollar-earner for Blue & Gold, but they choose comfy ... and I choose Poor-Fair.P.S: I remember many years ago returning from sea on a boomer and having these guys pick me up in Kings Bay with iced beer and drive me all the way back here to pick up my car from their storage facility. They were tops back then ... when they had that work ethic. I miss those guys ... and I miss that Blue & Gold.
Very easy to find what you want nice helpful staff will get if you cant find it almost every make and model cars to choose from very inexpensive
It is a museum of car fatalities. Every car or truck is there for a reason. There is a story, a history, hovering above every car or truck there. Some are flood cars, others died of natural causes, worn engines, transmissions, some died of skin cancer or injuries. Others died in collisions or rollovers as if they had fallen out of bed. Ill figure out their cause of death most of the time I am happy to pay the $2.00 admission free just to be able to perform post mortems. I walk around until I get tired of walking looking for the causes of death, but I never have the opportunity to walk the entire yard. Blue and Gold keeps growing faster than I can keep up.Just today, I discovered a truck that had at least there bullet holes in the sheet metal all fired from behind. There are three rounds still in the car and Im going to take more told to recover them next time I go. Somebody was fleeing from someone else that was shooting at them. Thats the story. There are plenty of stories and histories out there waiting to be discovered and told. Go find one.If you need parts, bring water, a snack, the right tools a kneeling cushion or a tarp, and good walking shoes. Youre going to need them. It will be a fun experience.
Professional and friendly staff. Was able to find part and remove it. Decent price.
I experienced good customer service. The salvage yard is not open to customers to pull parts, but instead they took me back to look at the part and make sure it was what I wanted. It was in good shape and I got a fair price. It was also much faster than going to a traditional junkyard.
This place is not professional at all. I would give them -5 stars if I could. My car was towed to this place, which cost $250 for a 3 mile tow, with a $30 daily fee to keep it there. I went to retrieve something on Tuesday and told them that I would return on Friday to pick up the rest of my stuff. When I came back Friday, they told me that Ive already been there and their policy is only 1 trip to the car. Mind you, NOT A SOUL mentioned this to me when I was there Tuesday. I told the lady working at the desk that they failed to mention this important information to me when I was there earlier in the week. I looked around and it was not posted anywhere. She leaves for a moment and her boss comes to talk to me...rudely...saying that it is policy and that they dont have to tell anyone about it. He was talking to me like we were about to have a problem, meaning he came to me like I did something wrong. I politely asked if I could just clean out my car and be on my way. They acted like the entire shop had to close down to do me this favor. After cleaning out my car and being rushed by the rude woman from earlier, I would NEVER have anything to do with this company. Im sure there are TONS of places in Goose Creek that can do what they do, but better, cheaper, and more professional in a rational manner. Save yourself the trouble and do not use this place for anything.
These guys are just workers they will tell you anything too get two dollars. Know what youre looking for an check the ticket
Always has cars that most other pick and pulls dont, great pricing, and decent staff
Been to a good amount of junk yards in Cali, fla and tx. These guys/gals got a great spread of cars/trucks. Set up is easy to navigate and parts are fairly priced.
Mr Dan that works at the front is the best help ever and that is coming me Britt gives I just went in there to get a starter man he was such a help map highlighted printed out all the makes and it matches with I mean he did it all for me he is great thank you
Very good selection
Went out of their way to help me.
Knowledge at its finest Chris n crew rock
Theyre the bomb diggity
They are awesome. Helped me get my tire and rim for my car. Showed me exactly where to look for the tire. Ms. Karen is such a sweetheart. I highly recommend them over lkq anyday. If you deal with any of the fellas I highly recommend Barry. He definitely will make a good deal out of anything
Had a great experience, helpful people, very organized and knew exactly were all vehicles were located. All prices by phone didnt change upon checkout, unlike Pick and Pull locations
Outstanding selections of vehicles awesome prices, will be going there a lot more worth the drive.
They have a lot of cars and are very organized, but its hard to get to some of the parts on vehicles due to the way that they are sitting...
This place is fair pricing and pretty much has everything you could possibly want
Best place for auto parts. Employees amazing.
Really good service! I walked out with what needed thanks to staff going out of their way.
Long wait times, sales reps not the best, guys in the back are alright. Parts are rather high priced and not in the best conditions. Ultimately had to settle on something subpar due to the lack of available parts.Update: Heard they changed the way they do business went back to look for parts for my truck they now charge you just to see if they have the parts you need. Their inventory system sucks too, they should arrange it year, make, model and engine in their system. Main benefit would be you not wasting money on parts they dont have because theyre system doesnt specify engine type. Honestly this place sucks more now than it used to. Didnt really think that was possible.
Pull your own part makes it cheaper also they have a very large property with a lot of cars
Great place and professional people
Yard was pretty clean...and cars was accessible...needs a transport system if you have to go to the back yard
They provide me with misleading information the first time I called. When I followed up the man was rude and unwilling to help me out. I do not live in SC so I was trying to find the best way to retrieve the items, but they did not want my business and did not even try to accommodate me.I normally support small business but this one in particular could care less about potential customers.
My experience was good. Berry helped me in a professional pleasant way. I cant complaint, seeing the reviews makes me say that with me, Blue and Gold is a good place to use for parts for my Jeep.
Not only are they friendly and helpful they are dog-friendly if the dog is friendly.
.very helpful Let Me Take A Part home and make sure it fit.. a thing called Trust You Dont See Much Anymore
