Its a medium sized Navy exchange with a decent selection. Mens clothing is a little limited. Theres a good selection of current Apple products. They had the latest MacBook Pros there and a bunch of peripherals and basic windows laptops. The home goods side is well stocked. Theres a smaller selection of televisions and other electronics. Checkout was quick.

Fairly small and closes early. Decent amount of items for the size. Customer service was a little above average.

Wonderful place. Prices are superb and everything there is great. Its not a very big store, however, the selection is good for what they have available. The best items for good prices.

Great experience to return 34 yrs later since a rule change allowing service connected disabilities Accra to NEX and commissary. Prices were very competitive and no sales taxes. Made major purchase at the exchange and saved $30 less from Wal-Mart on a vacuum. And would have paid 9% taxes on a $290 purchase. Thank you Uncle Sam!

This exchange in Goose Creek has served its military community with all that it has to give. The staff are friendly and personable. Having said that, I believe the community closest to this facility deserves an updated NEX. We have been waiting DECADES.

Gotta be the most neglected and rundown military exchange operation I have seen and seen and shopped commissary and exchanges all over the world. Ive seen better exchange operations in hostile theaters where resources were very limited. Staff are great, management and budget allows these facilities to look like a going out of business Kmart and what NEX claims are bargains are only bargains if you havent looked elsewhere. Very disappointing, rundown military exchange operation.

These are always great places to find name brand stuff cheaper and with no tax. Although, whomever designed the parking lot didnt do such a good job. The store setup on the inside is also a bit ridiculous. Eventually you can find your way around but what is the point in putting a huge dividing wall between sections of the store! Selection of various items is on the lower side and you might be able to find what you need in the mildly well kept aisles. Itd probably be way easier to find what you want at any other store. Skip dealing with the parking lot, limited selection, and kind of cramped inside unless you really want that military pricing.

It is ok. Try to support them as much as possible. Pretty good on clearance items just need more stuff. Offer a decent array of merchandise. Mrs Betty and Irma are sweet

Very competitive price

The uniform shop is great for putting patches on in a decent timeframe, but you definitely want to put your own crease in the uniform.The convenience store has a nice selection and the prices are fair, the commissary is the better option.The barber shop is terrible; understaffed, only gives the super Sat sailor haircut. Youre definitely better off with any other option.

Smaller exchange when comparing to other Naval Bases but the customer service is incredible and they change out/ update stock often. I typically dont leave with empty hands 😊. Easy to find location, convenient hours.

Great TV prices and specials, sad that there is no schedule for deliveries for tennis shoes, some prices are a bit high for a military exchange.

How do they stay in business? They have out lived their usefulness.

Id highly recommend the NEX if you are in the Military. If you are not, I highly recommend Walmart.

Went in for various sundries, and was happily surprised by a great selection of summer ruana wraps. I was quite happy with the selection of items and their pricing.

Ed Stank May be looking for more of a combination of Lowe’s, Home Depot, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, Grainger, etc. I think they have a great selection of home goods and clothing. Cheaper prices for the most part and most important, for big purchases, no sales tax! I buy all of my big dollar items here. Also, their 5.11 gear is priced very reasonable.

Everything seems to be over priced here. The customer service really depends on the area you are shopping in. The lady at the jewelry counter was friendly and helpful while the lady at the Pandora counter had no other customers and while I looking at items in the case didnt acknowledge me at all.

For the love of all that is holy, can we please stop hiring beauticians who do not care and start hiring barbers. Even mediocre barbers will do. Every haircut is a gamble on what you will get. It doesnt matter what you tell them you want. You always get whatever they feel like giving. I have been going here every Sunday for almost a year. I have never gotten a haircut worth the 8.50. I get that the HR department at an on base facility really doesnt care who they hire. They will always have customers so the issue of delivering exceptional service is not something they care about. I am sure there are barbers right across the train tracks that would love to work here. It is sad because I know this review will be disregarded as one unhappy customer in the midst of hundreds of satisfied ones. Every other person that gets their haircut here says the same thing I do. Please re-evaluate the hiring process and management of this establishment. It has the potential to bring in large returns, but currently is performing at substandard levels.

NEX store - great. Student store - great. Uniform store - decent. Barber - absolutely atrocious. Take your barber needs to Williams Barber Shop ($8.50) or The Shoppe ($7) up the road to get a haircut worth your money, and without the smart *** attitudes from the barbers. They love to sit around, take their time eating chips and goofing off with each other and give you an attitude after youve been waiting forever for a haircut.

In regards to the uniform center. I will NEVER take my uniform to them to dry clean again. 2 times they have dropped the ball and failed to put military creases on my uniform for 2 important occasions even when I explicitly asked for them and it was written on the receipt. They show a complete lack of interest in the satisfaction of the customer and I would not trust them if you intend to show a sharp military appearance that goes beyond just your standard ironing.

Walked in this morning passed by 5 employees at different points throughout the store: lady opening the doors,jewelry, boys wear, and just walking by. NO ONE said Goodmorning or even acknowledged me. The only reason I shop here is because the good deals on soda and electronics!!!!!! Most of the cashiers are friendly but the friendly ones werent there today!!!!!!!

I cannot express my dissapointment with this facility. Instead of carrying products of use to everyone, purses and item of this nature seem to occupy most of the usable shopping area. I am better served by Walmart.

NEX has good prices on SOME things as compared to off-base. More & more, Ive found its just not worth a specific/special trip to get most things. You just need to watch the ads or many times electronics are cheaper. Thats just my opinion.

I saw Martha, and she gave me the best hair cut I have ever had. I love it very much, she spent so much time on me and I really appreciated it. I was very hesitant to go here, but I wish Id gone sooner.

The jewelry ladies always say hi when you walk in which is nice :) I find this nex to be a bit small on selection of clothing, cosmetics and also household items... it’s not really a place you’d go browse for an hour or so... it doesn’t wake you want to stay and shop... but their liquor store is worth stopping at though.

The Navy Exchange is always a fun trip with designer clothing and great sales after Christmas.

Only those with a military/dependent/retiree ID card can shop there. They dont have low price guarantee. They take advantage of junior military personnel by offering credit, so you have young kids using their credit at a store that has a false reputation for having the best prices. Everyone should price check Walmart before buying at the Navy Exchange.

Its OK. Has most major clothing brands and electronics, with a small outdoor shopping area. You are tax exempt as military in the NEX but, in my overall opinion, MOST merchandise is fairly overpriced.

Great people. Exchange building is too small and needs to expand both in size and merchandise. The parking lot is a nightmare both entering and leaving.

The store did not have what I needed because it carried a limited supply of things. As for the womens clothing line I was not fond of or would wear. If I want to go to Belk Macys or Nordstrom I would go there. I feel Nex like the Army exchange should be for the average people. I feel it is only for the officer ranks where the clothing line may fit the cost. The two clothing lines I saw are clothes my 80 year old mom would not wear. I enjoy finding michealkors bags for a lot less. ROSS FOR LESS, Tjmaxx have them a third of the cost. I cant afford to shop at the exchange. No wonder I hardly saw people there at Noon. When I was around the exchange more (around a military base) at noon it was always busy. I think I saw more employees than customers at noon.
