Let me start by saying I have had only apple products- computers, phones, laptops, tablets, etc. for the past 17 years. I was disappointed that you have to make an appointment to talk to anyone about any of the products or to even purchase something knowing what you want to buy. I walked in and was told I could make an appointment for tomorrow while watching 2 employees standing there talking to no one and doing nothing other than looking at a phone. That was only at the entrance which is pretty much as far as I got. These were only part of my complaints for this location at this time.
Not that big, Staff attitude is Weird,as if they are in a hurry or obligated to talk,don’t know but no comfortable feelings there …mostly you can get what you need,for cases and covers not all colors available,but its the nearest to Roanoke and some cities,its better to have an appointment with order previously made, to be sure your need is there,No bathroom, Apple Wi-FiGood parking area, and Curbside pickups...
Went to have my grandsons computer like that a young man named Bryce waited on me he was very knowledgeable very nice
Only giving it 4 stars because of pricing (duh), and that the colors on the iPhone 13 are ugly. The blush pink looks like beige (to me at least). I really wanted more battery, and better features and faster charging, but just that much money for a phone that really didn’t change from 12 to 13 isn’t justifiable. They also dropped all the cute colors :/.

Thank you, CALVIN (manager) and ERIC for coming to my rescue! I needed to replace my iPad. After talking on the phone with an Apple rep and her sharing info on various iPads, the rep informed me that the iPad mini I wanted was in stock at the Apple Friendly Center (closest location, an approx. 25-minute drive). She never informed me, however, that I needed to schedule an appointment first. I arrived at Apples Friendly Center location (Greensboro, NC) about 12:40pm to purchase a new iPad. My initial experience was with MARK (greeter?). MARK immediately told me that I needed to make an appointment and the next available time was 7:00PM and that I can hang around until 7:00 PM (from 12:40pm to 7:00PM!). After about 90 seconds, MARK just RUSHED me along in order to take care of the next customer--which was very rude and inappropriate, since he continued his conversation with the next customer at least 5-7 minutes, or more! Remember, I drove approx. 25-30 minutes to this location to PURCHASE an Apple product! Hopefully, MARK will take the refresher course in customer relations that he so DESPERATELY needs, before Apple loses valuable customers!After informing another Apple rep in the store that I wanted to speak to a manager, CALVIN immediately came to my rescue and respectfully addressed all of my concerns! CALVIN introduced me to ERIC who also LISTENED very attentively, provided options for purchase and handled my purchase transaction with the utmost professionalism! Thanks to ERICs thorough coverage of options, I upgraded from my original choice of the mini iPad to buying the iPad Air. If it wasnt for CALVIN and ERIC, Apple would have lost me as a customer FOREVER!!!Again, thank you CALVIN and ERIC for treating me with the utmost respect and courtesy that I expected to receive as a paying customer of Apple products. (1 star for MARK ... 5 stars for CALVIN and ERIC!)
This place has wonderful customer service, we were greeted upon entry. The sales team promptly got on my issue, my wait time was maybe 5 mins or less. Once I was working with a tech my issue assessed and solved immediately and we were on our way.Other businesses of ALL kinds need to take notes and learn from The Apple Store.
I had been having a problem getting my money refunded from a gift card back to my debit card, but today spoke with a guy named Ian and explained to him what was going on a he assured me that he would have a manager call me which he did. The manager D. called and told me to bring the gift cards and he would refund my money back to my debit card which he did. Both these guys were nice and awesome, these 2 guys awesome and you need more guys like them working in that particular store.
Seamless experience. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I was able to get my needed products in under 45 minutes.Would recommend for sure!
When my screen slowly started to stop working, I was in a state of woe. Thankfully, with the help of the people at the store my phone was fixed. The best part was the timely nature in which it was done.
Ordered some stuff, curbside pickup thinking it would be faster and to be mindful of covid and all that. Pulled into a curbside pickup spot 5 minutes early cause all 3 were open.. that was at 11:40.. (pickup window 11:45-12). Now it’s 12:10 and nothing. 2 other cars have pulled up and got their orders within minutes. The guy at the door asked if I checked in. Told him yes, showed him the QR code. He said someone should be out shortly. (That was at 11:50).If you’re gonna do an online order just save yourself the headache and just have it delivered. This specific location has never been particularly outstanding in the customer service department.Tho I will say the man at the door was really nice and kept checking on me.
I love apple products but the service and availability just isnt what it used to be. If I set up an appointment I expect to have an associate available within at least a 10 minute time frame. Not 15-25 minutes later. I dont even blame the employees here because I think they try their best. The management is poor. The guy who helped me was so nice but he didnt know anything about 12pro software. Also, asking someone to phone a supervisor in store is very unprofessional.
Set up a appointment the day before. I still had to wait close to 30 min to be seen. I paid for a warranty for my airpods that is suppose to cover anything but loss or physical damage only to be told I’m going to have to send them off and see if there is internal damage as to why the mic quit working. Thousands of reviewers say the same thing happened to them. Now I’m with out for maybe 2 weeks.

Imagine having a warranty and phone insurance and they will not replace your phone when it’s having issues and it’s less than a year old. I see exactly why this store has horrible reviews. I hate apple.

I had made an appointment through apple at bestbuy and they couldn’t help me so i went to apple without an appointment and they helped me out! great customer service! i cannot remember the names of the gentleman that helped me but they were super friendly!

I went to replace an Airpods Pro case, and since I didnt have an appointment they had me set one up first for the genius bar knowing that I needed a new one. I waited an hour for my appointment just for them to tell me they dont have any in stock. Why not bother to tell me that in the first place?
Went in without and appt and was able to get one. when it was time for my appt everything was super fast and the 2 guys that helped me were awesome! I got my new phone and was out 15-20 min later (since I knew what I wanted and didnt need much help there wasnt much to do anyways)
Total hopeless people. Mr jhon helped me for my shopping after 15 minute. I hv need of iphone 12 pro max 512 gb but it was not in stock. Even he doesnt know when it will available in store.He advice me to order online. After that I asked him apple watch 44 mm gold with steel belt it was also not available there and again he doesnt know when he got in store. Again he advice me to order online. If I have to order online why should you guys wasting time people????? Very bed experience

Kyle is quite simply the real deal. I walked in with a iPhone 11 under warranty without an appointment and within about 30 mins Kyle had a new iPhone 11 back into my phone case with all of my contacts and pictures only a short wifi download away.

Absolutely horrible company. Wont lift a finger to help return an overpriced phone to its owner. On top of that covid restrictions are lifted but they still require you to wait outside, with a mask, not just a mask, one of their approved masks, while youre waiting to be told they wont bother trying to return the phone you found to its owner. Remember that before buying an iPhone.

Very prejudice atmosphere. My daughter and I stood in line for approximately 20 minutes when an “entitled” white woman walked up requesting the exact same services. I looked away for the moment and when I turned my focus towards the situation...surprise surprise guess who they let walk in the store, the “entitled” white woman!I don’t even think I want to do business with Apple any longer and what’s worse my daughter had to witness this.

I set an appointment for my MacBook Air. I conversed with an associate about my MacBook issues.He informed me that a technician would not be available until the next 30 minutes of my arrival. I politely agreed to wait until the next available technician was available. Once My appointment time arrived, I spoke with an associate.While checking in I was told that there was not an appointment made for me. ( which I clearly watched the associate make the appointment; taking my serial number and all).They continued to explain the associate made a mistake.There were no technician available for today and he set my appointment for two days out.I was upset. They told me they would still service me. I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes for a technician. Every associate and tech has walked past me and not offered help. The only technician that seems available walked over to a house young lady that was clearly here after me. I am livid this is horrible custom service coming from apple.

I’ve given these guys three chances to improve their customer service. It just has not improved, and therefore, won’t be going back to this Apple Store.Every time I go here, the employees are very rude, incompetent about their own products/services, or are trying to sell me an unwanted product/service.I understand we’re in a pandemic currently, but when I go through so many obstacles just to enter a store such as temperature checks, wearing a mask, six foot physical distancing, using hand sanitizer, wearing gloves, confirmed I haven’t been exposed to Covid and confirmed I haven’t had any symptoms of corona, I should be able to enter and browse the store freely. A customer service “genius” came up to me and said I couldn’t even browse.I get it, but it still doesn’t give an excuse for your customer service to be exceptionally rude to me when I go into your store. I even considered switching back to android because of this experience. I’m still considering it.Apple, please improve your customer service. It’s the reason why I am seriously contemplating moving back to Android. I am seriously disappointed.

There was no point in making an appointment. I still had to wait outside for 30-45 minutes.The products are always giving me issues, as well - even after repairs. Both my iPhone 11 Pro to my Macbook Pro 16 were purchased new, but had severe issues within months of owning. Im most bitter about only being able to trade in for more defective products rather than getting my money back.Nevertheless, the staff, both on phone and in store, were really friendly and genuinely seemed to want to help. Also, repairs were free and quick (then again, they didnt last).
Wow amazing costumer service! They replied SO fast and I got an immediate response. Chaitra is who I talked to very nice and she helped a lot with the issue I had with my phone.

I have never had such a TERRIBLE experience at a store! The Apple rep. was wonderful but there was 1 VERY rude security officer outside that was highly unprofessional. He made us feel so uncomfortable that we would have left if there was another Apple store close. We wont be buying Apple projects in the future.

I went to the apple store to get my phone checked out because it has been giving me a lot of problems for almost 3 weeks now. I have contacted my phone service and went through every technical support they asked me to due. I factory reset my phone like they told me to, i even did a network reset and that still did not help. The tech that i spoke with over the phone told me to bring my phone to the apple store so they can look at it. All that was done was a restore which i have done 3 times prior to calling tech support. When i asked well what if this doesnt work his response was you will just have to buy a new phone. For one I am already making payments on my current phone which is the iPhone xs max.. My phone is not cracked nor water damage but apple will not help and the kicker is he told me to pay 338 to upgrade early for a new iPhone like what! why would i do that when my current phone is giving me issues and you all are not trying to help fix it. Very Bad customer service

On 10/23 I purchased the new iPhone 12 pro from this store through my carrier. Three days after having the device it said that the battery was installed incorrectly and needed to be replaced. It also said that a update was required it did the update and the issue stopped for a while. Fast track to today the same issue started happening understanding apples protocols I went to the apple support app and tried to get an appointment to get the device serviced no appointment available for at least to weeks. I went to the store and the manager told me I need to purchase another device and we will return the original device. So I need to spend 1000 to fix apples problem!!! I have a lot of apple devices this unfair treatment!
This location is poorly organized. There were three guys standing around doing nothing while lines are forming to both return and set appointments. They are pushing appointments 1-2 hours past, but have enough time to stand around? Not used to that with an apple store.

Unfortunately there is not a place where you can review Apple as a whole so I have to post this on the Friendly Center Stores reviews. My husband recently purchased an apple watch online for my birthday and when it was delivered by UPS directly into our hands, the box was empty! Someone at UPS had opened the package and stolen my apple watch. Truly devastated, we contacted Apple because we were sure that they would replace it right away due to the circumstances. To our dismay they said they have to go through an investigation that would take up to 8 days!!!! I feel as a multibillion dollar corporation that they would look out for their customers (like Amazon does beautifully in these situations) and go ahead and priority ship a replacement while they do their investigation which is GOING to show that the package was delivered BUT as we had already stated IT WAS EMPTY! I am beyond upset that they dont seem to care.......
Was informed that they no longer allow in store shopping. Store was empty. 4 employees hanging out together outside with no one in line trying to get in. What’s the point of having a store front of you can only bring your broken things there (by appointment). No one even offered to help make an appointment. Had my mask on... was ready to wait in a line... Would recommend looking for non-apple products in the future. They don’t care about customers.

Drove a 1 hr 1/2 Just to be told I couldn’t buy a phone with cash and I needed to make an appointment that was 4 hrs away.
I drove to the Greensboro apple location to purchase 7 new iPhone 12 pro max, and 3 iPad Pro 11” tablets. When I got there I was stopped and told I had to purchase everything online and come back at 4 today to pick this up. This is a waste of my time, I will never attempt to purchase anything from this place again. I’ll go to Verizon to purchase these items from now on.

Apple has been the absolute worst! I have been trying to have an iPad repaired for almost 2 months now and they have been giving me the run around and have not REFUNDED my money yet! I will take my business elsewhere where my money is appreciated!!
Horrible customer service today. You cant call and speak to a human on the local number they provide. Went to the website for the store to schedule an appointment and it says none available. I went to the store and an employee outside said i cant go in without an appointment. I explained that the website wouldnt allow me to and he said keep trying and was done talking to me. If this wasnt a company phone i would be done with apple all together.
Cant put in words how frustrated and angry I am! They definitely won the worst customer service award. Hopefully Apple learns that customers will only value your products if they are valued as customers and not just a number.

Not good we get there you have to have appointment. So we call were from walnut cove nC. They tell us to call apple to make appointment. All we wanted was a cable for pod.
I had an appointment scheduled for this past Sunday. The store closed unexpectedly that day and failed to contact me by phone. I live an hour away and had already started my drive when I happened to check my email. I received an email from Apple Friendly Center stating the closure with no apology, instead it said “We’re disappointed, too.” The email gave a link to reschedule; however, the earliest appointment was a week from my initial appointment date. I called the store to see if they could make accommodations for me, but they claimed they were unable to help and instead tried to push me off onto a different store even further away. I understand that there are a lot of issues going on in our country right now, and repairing my laptop is trivial in comparison, but I am incredibly disappointed in Apple Friendly Center’s lack of compassion for its customers.
I always have a great experience when walking into this Apple Store. They treat me like a champion! They are excellent in their problem solving skills and customer services. They are wonderful when working with the public and always in a professional manner.Thank you very much for how you handled my 1st and only problem ever encountered with my 4th generation iPod touch. You handled this issue like it was a brand new item.. In the end after trouble shooting it, the company decided to replace it at no cost to me...Which honestly, I was told this was apart of a 1 time CS fix, but whatever the reason for replacing for free was like icing to the cake for me...Again, thank you so much!Regards,Chris Dawson

My old iMac desktop computer died after many years of good service. I could not even restart it in safe mode to erase the disk drive. My concern was to ensure that my personal data not be breached. I called Apple support for help and explained my concern. They assured me not to worry and made an appointment for me at this store’s Genius Bar. They said that as long as I bought a replacement computer at the store (which I did) that during my appointment at the Genius Bar they would remove the disk drive from the old computer and hand it to me. However, during my appointment they refused to do so claiming it would take too much of their time. They suggested I pay and take it to a third party. I protested and even talked to the store manager, who suggested I just trust him that my personal data would not be breached if I allowed them to recycle my old computer. Later with the help of a relative, I removed the hard drive myself. This whole experience put a damper on my excitement in buying the new computer.

Person who wants to explore phone are allowed with appointment to go inside the store but who wants to buy the phone are kept outside on the roads if you dont have an appointment. This is ridiculous.
Always a great visit at Apple but I will not buy anymore Apple products. Its odd they have a store with a department to help fix their products yet Samsung and others do not. Ive had Apple for over 10 years. I switched everything to anything else. Never had an issue since.
Slow service, many people to greet you but you have to wait for hours to be seen. The tech professionals was great once seen. I will not try to visit any apple store if this is the way all of them are. I scheduled a visit for a problem, once checked in waited 30-40 minutes to be seen. Two months before this I called apple support and they told me that I could go to this apple store and not have an appointment, what a mistake that was when I did go a day later they said I had to have an appointment😱 and they would not have any appointments until a day or two😱: never buying apple product again this service is terrible if you cant be seen the same day.😕😟 Dont go here for service just a warning you will spend most of day and night there. Once seen it is good.
Worst customer service ever. I just wanted to have my screen repaired and had already diagnosed the problem with Apple at a DC area store. Rather than just listen to me and sell me what I wanted, the representative argued with me during the call about my use of an external monitor. She was implying that my screen wasn’t cracked (trust me... it is) and that my monitor was the problem. She read back from her notes some random point earlier in the call and seemed to be debating me rather than doing a normal troubleshooting session. What on earth is the point of debating a trivial point in the middle of a call like that? What value do you get from annoying your prospective customer? I was going to either replace my screen or buy a new MacBook Pro from them today. You debated yourself out of a sale and now have a bad review. I’ve never left a review in my life...

As far as I can tell, there is no way to actually contact a human being at this store when using the number provided. The automated system is absolutely terrible if you have questions outside of the preprogrammed options. The customer service in person here is fantastic though. And the Geniuses who assisted me were top notch!
On Apple’s website it lists Genius bars that can service iPhones because their stores are closed. It directed us to Best Buy’s Geek Squad as a certified repair site. After waiting two weeks for an appointment at Best Buy they tell me that they are not set up to perform diagnostics so they can’t help. What are Apple product users supposed to do?? Now, I am directed to mail my phone back to Apple for a repair. All this time has been wasted. Switching back to Samsung. I can’t put up with this.
The manager of this store, Jay S. Was very rude to us this morning. I will not return to this store under any circumstances. I wanted to speak with someone about purchasing a new phone and iPad. He refused to offer help. The rudest we have ever been treated.
I came in to get my rear camera fixed. Price was better than I expected. The issue I have is I was quoted that my phone would be ready for pick up at 8pm (start time was 6:45pm). I went back in at 7:25pm to see if it happened to be finished early. It was not, which is was perfectly fine. I go back in at 8pm and it’s finished. I am getting my phone and I am told that due to the red sticker inside, meaning it’s come into contact with water at some point, that they can not fix my camera?!?! Makes absolutely no sense to me. He then preceded to tell me that I have two options 1) I can take my phone back or 2) I can buy the replacement for $300-something. But, I am risking taking a phone back that might not work now?! Luckily, my phone still works but I am out of 2 hours of wasted time. BOTH the water indicator sticker and the risk of my phone not working after the screen was open should’ve been told to me before hand.
The customer service here is awesome. Jay Allred was extremely helpful and went above and beyond! I walked in with a macbook pro that was stuck because I didnt have the original apple Id and password. I had spent 4 days trying to educate myself on how to bypass this screen after factory resetting this computer. I walked in, talked to a specialist about my problem. I had to make an appointment with the genius bar with a technical specialist. Fortunately I only lived 10 minutes from the apple store. I received a text about a hour and a half later saying they were almost ready for me. Left my house, got there in 10 minutes, checked in with a specialist, had a seat in the waiting area and was called 10 minutes later. I explained the problem to Jay and not only did he bypass the system in about 3 minutes but he upgraded the version to the latest version. The only real wait was it took 30 minutes for the upgrade but was so happy to wait for my mac to be fixed but also upgraded for free. Professional, kind, prompt, and of course knowledgeable are the words I can use for this store!
I hate to write bad reviews and give everyone the benefit of the doubt right now as we try to operate under a new normal ... but this store is a mess and has not figured out how to work their curbside Genius Bar or Services. My appointment was at 3, and I am still here, not seen and it is 3:50pm. Through the course of my wait, I was told “you may not be seen (we close at 5)”; “you’re next”... 20 minutes later ... “there’s one person in front of you”; and about 4 people came up to me asking the same questions.I recommend avoiding until they figure out how to manage better, but needless to say, I’m shocked Apple couldn’t come up with a system....Update: one week later and my laptop is still not shipped and I can’t reach the store for updates and Support is useless. Really beyond frustrated - and have no trust they will get my laptop back to me... ever!
