Helpful staff. Nice selection instruments and gear. Well organized store. The guitars and basses all seem to be checked over well, and maybe even adjusted for playability. The prices seem to be in line with similar condition used instruments and equipment, but here, you get to actually try it and take it home if you like it, instead of having to deal with shipping and hoping.

When Im in the area I like to stop in. Ive found them friendly to deal with, knowledgeable of the products, and reasonably priced. All the reasons I prefer dealing with a locally owned shop.

Went in shopping for a new keyboard. Sales associate greeted me and left me alone to look around and was helpful when I needed help. Great group of people in the Greensboro store. I went in store for strings for my acoustic guitar,I am a newbie, They were very accommodating and even helped find steel strings not so hard on my fingers. Love shopping and browsing there and by the way had strings replaced within 15 minutes. Staff is always very polite.

Ordered guitar strings for my acoustical and classical guitars. Being stuck in house gives you time to sit and get back to playing guitar! Owner was very helpful in selecting strings and they arrived in mail quickly. Thanks for good experience.

Man these guys are ALWAYS awesome!! I’ve been doin’ business with them close to 20 years and they’ve always been a top choice of mine, but my 7 year old son is an up and coming drummer and switching from an electric set to an acoustic set. These guys made an awesome trade on the electric kit I bought him years ago and then gave us an AWESOME deal on everything we needed to build his acoustic set! Absolutely blown away... it’s rare to be able to do business with people who are actually great folks. Shop with these guys! I have been since I was a teenager and obviously still do. Wasnt impressed. I read in another review that they will put strings on. No set ups though. Anyone know a tire shop that will put tires on but not balance them?

The people that work they are honest the owner is more than accommodating, me and my son will never go anyplace else. Even when the place has a lot of customers they will take their time to deal with an 8 year old they have great deals and want you to continue to patronize them thats my Kind of place!!!!

I have dropped into this store three times for odds and ends instrument needs. They are incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful. Big or small sales, they are just as nice. Nice selection of guitars and drums.

This place is great. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. when you sell or trade gear their quote process is really quick and the offers have been really good (no pressure either). Their prices on both used and new stuff are good as well. I buy my strings here exclusively now-they have a great selection and the prices are better than anywhere else, even online. its shocking to me the amount of money people pay for brand new items (esp hardware and accessories) when places like this exist with stuff in great condition for probably half the price. Its one of those places you can find some real gems, hope this place sticks around for the long term.

They have some good things here and the prices are fair. The customer service has been bad in my experience. They seem like theyre not excited about their job.

Good selection of products. Some products have been there a long time but yet in typical Music Go Round fashion there is no flex in the price. Sales guys are pretty nice. As a music instrument reseller they is not much meat left on the bone unless you are sales tax exempt. As a consumer prices are just ok.

MGR is always a decent experience. The staff are helpful and try to answer any questions you might have.On occasion theres 80s hair metal and cheesy power ballads on the intercom, but we wont hold that against them. Lol

Fair selection at fair prices. Best part, much better experience shopping since its far quiter than most other music stores not to be mentioned.

Very friendly vibe, good variety of used cases, some interesting guitars. Great collection of used hi-hat pedals...just in case. And a large bunch of drum sets. This place makes me want to spend there to support them. Look forward to another visit when Im in town.

Great place for awesome used gear. Always stick my head in there when Im in town. Prices are not the greatest, but they have some really stuff from time to time.

Used gear selection is average and prices are reasonable. Trade in values are poor. You are much better off selling your used music gear yourself.

I love this place! They always have awesome gear that comes through the door and friendly staff. I can find something new at a fair price about every time I come through. Its a way more relaxed atmosphere than most of the high pressure big box stores these days. I always stop here first before I go to another store or online. Check it out! you wont be disappointed.

Im new to playing a guitar and these guys were the greatest help. I broke a string on my guitar and they took the time to go over what would be best for me. I recommend this place to everyone. If you go somewhere else in Greensboro for musical help, youll miss the best.

I bought the cutest ukulele from these guys and I absolutely love it. My husband bought an electric drum set that he is crazy about. They are knowledgable on products and work to find exactly what works for you! The store is very organized and has a lot of variety.

Customer service was absolutely fantastic. They sell many musical instruments. They also sell just about all musical equipment. It was a very organized store.

Drove from Martinsville because I was excited about a used music instrument store. Unfortunately, they would have their customers be disarmed and unable to protect themselves in the event of a violent encounter. Its a shame music stores are becoming politicised now. Ill spend my money where my freedom to defend myself isnt infringed upon.***Edit*** The owner responded by saying they support all our constitutional rights but immediately followed that sentence with a statement that stands in complete opposition. We support all constitutional rights, well.....err, except the second amendment. You cant say you support it then follow that up with we dont support it. Makes no sense. Way to double down on stupidity.

One great place to go, but some of the people are not friendly.

Stay away from this place. I was trying to buy a bass from them. Asked them VERY precise questions: are there twists or warps in the neck? Any bumps or dips? Is there any buzz. The manager, Tim Moore, replies to me that such questions are too subjective to be answered and that In our opinion it performs as it should (not say yes or no to any of my questions). Sorry but twisted neck is NOT subjective. Warped neck is NOT subjective. Uneven frets is NOT subjective... Then writes to me that he will ONLY sell the bass if I agree not to return it. When a company is trying to pull off this kind of shinennigans, you know they are selling shoddy merch and they know it and they will NOT stand behind it. STAY AWAY unless you want to buy a defective product and have them NOT stand behind it.

Its a decent place to check regularly, especially for impulse purchases.. DO NOT GO IN HERE EXPECTING TO FIND THE EXACT ITEM YOU NEED RIGHT NOW- that will leave you disappointed.. This is not Guitar Center, so no need to compare it to one. Its a Used Music Store with some decent newer and older items. Owen has been Very helpful over the years, the owner has said Hi..Welcome (or something else cordial) EVERYTIME Ive seen him! They will let you try/demo anything before buying. Sometimes Youre full handed leaving. sometimes, better luck next visit. Its Never a Wasted Trip though!

Exceeded my expecations for used gear deals by leagues and miles. Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent inventory selection, not the best floorplan, but eh, makes it feel like a cozy thrift gear shop. Pieces seemed to be in respectable shape, and the five or so instruments i played were all set up and tuned properly. Pricing on items is competitive and fair. The offer and estimate i had recieved were also competitive and fair. i highly recommend Music Go Round Greensboro for all beginner, intermediate and expert concerns.the owner even helped walk in the hundred or more pounds of gear i had delivered. Attention to minor details and common courtesy and LEADING BY EXAMPLE, should, and in my opinion, in this case, definitely do, indicate greatness in many other aspects. Thanks Mike.

Went in to buy a guitar for my son. There was one customer in there when we arrived and 2 employees. 10 minutes after the only other customer left, we still had no one offer to help us or even ask us if we had any questions. So we left and will buy somewhere else. They need to train their employees on what customer service means.

I go to play the piano. They dont mind it and theyre very friendly.
