Dr. Aaron Cooke was exceptionally professional and his bedside manner was kind and reassuring. The patience to answer all my questions and make me feel at ease during his response is a tough quality to find in a practitioner. Highly recommend you schedule your next exam with the doc!

The entire experience was wonderful. From before I even entered the building, I called the office for instructions on where exactly they were located within the mall which was really helpful. Then, at the reception desk it was warm and welcoming. Shortly after signing in I had my eyes examined and pictures were taken. Then with meeting Dr. Tavel he was kind, professional, personable, and it was easy to work with him. I highly recommend this place for getting your eyes checked out.

To be a family eye care, I must say that I was treated with the utmost care and professionalism and in a timely manner that you dont find anywhere else. Theyre extremely helpful in every step of the process of giving me my eyesight back. And most importantly, they insured safety at every angle from well before my appointment to the time I left, from wearing their masks and making sure everyone else wore their masks, to disinfecting and sanitizing everything that was touched by Me or any other person in the store before and after.. I was blown away at the efforts taken to ensure customer safety, happiness and satisfaction. Truly a world class experience. Thank you so much!

My glasses came in and one of the lenses were a bit messed up. They let me take the pair home to get by and ordered another set. They were great and fixed the problem with ease.

My First visit to doctor Tavels office with such a pleasant experience. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top notch. Not something I feel happens too often anymore. As I waited to be seen, I noticed how well the employees treated one another. You have an amazing and professional team Tiffany! Dr. Cooke was laid back and took time to explain any question I had. Destiny was patient and so encouraging, guiding me through my first time putting in & taking out a contact. I actually look forward to my follow up appointment. All Dr. offices should run this smoothly.

Dr. Cooke was great! The prices were fantastic. I ended up with 2 pairs of glasses, and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses for less than I paid for one pair 5 years ago in another state. Highly recommend!

I visited the Greenwood location after stopping at several eye centers in the area. These folks are very courteous and professional. It was refreshing to find a business that still provides customer service during these times. I purchased eyeglasses through my insurance and also took advantage of their discount on a second pair. I would not hesitate to recommend Tavel and will return in the future.

DR. Tavel Greenwood mall I went there for eye exam and ordered progressive glasses, Got the glasses after 2 weeks or so they wasnt right after i received them .they sent them off to redo them came back 2 weeks or so later wasnt right again . so they said they would pay for them to have a different lenses. they came in again they were OK until i went walking to the truck and started to drive . I couldnt see a broad side of a barn . I was not going back because they said thats what i needed and didnt know why i couldnt see cause the numbers was all in line . They also said progressives take a while to get use to .I been wearing progressives for over 10 years, i would think i would be use to them by now . so 6 to 7 weeks of waiting, and using my insurance and money to boot i still have no glasses to wear . And dont forget you only have 1 eye exam once a year .Ill buy amazon progressives and move on

My mother and I went today for our eye exams and I love it. Ive been going for a while to Dr Tavel and they are always so great to me but today Josh and Abby helped us and hands down the best people Ive encountered there ever. They were both so personable and very knowledgeable about their offers. I got a very nice pair of glasses for very low cost out of pocket which was a little scary initially considering Ive been hit by covid financial issues pretty hard. Also I am young and Josh got me an awesome payment plan that helps me build credit at the end of payment. Josh mentioned how he did the payment plan as well for himself and was telling me about the offer due to being a real customer of the offer, instead of a sales persons job to sell. Abby was just all around a great pleasure to chat with and my mother was extremely happy with her as well. She was so patient with her in helping her pick out a nice pair of glasses ( which took a long time lol ). It was just an overall very nice experience and was actually a fun appointment. Thank you so so much Josh and Abby for being so sweet and helpful. I will definitely continue to stay there especially knowing my mother and I will get the best customer service available.P.s. Young people please go to Dr Tavel especially if you have to come out of pocket! Very affordable!

They text me to remind me of my appointment time. When we got there we got right in. The friendly staff had us in and out quickly. Two of us got glasses and the selection was great and we got them within a few weeks.

Eye doctor himself was so rude to me during my appointment today told me I have astigmatism in on eye but shouldn’t try with glasses even though it may get worse (his words) kept getting mad at me when I’d tell him the letters were a lot more blurry to my left eye would respond with (that’s not what I asked) continued going over the images multiple times as if he was trying to see if I was lying about my vision told me he was “now confused” because both eyes should see the letters clear and said okay let’s try this again definitely won’t be returning to this dr Tavel location I had prescribed glasses over this issue in middle school and my vision has gotten a lot worse wasted $50 to be told I have astigmatism in one eye but not to try getting glasses! Front staff was nice they definitely need to hire a new dr one who isn’t so rude to paying customers

Great service for me and my son. Be aware it gets very busy between 1:30 and 3:00. And the parking is not great if youre looking for close spots.

If you’re going to offer free Sunglasses with a Year’s worth of Contacts since Insurance covers that, then you need to have more than 2 selections. Or if you’re just out of stock, that’s fine, but perhaps have a catalog to choose from.

I actually went for my daughters first eye appointment, and started talking to the girl at the front desk about my glasses getting stolen. She handed me a paper to fill out about what had happened. In less than 5 days, they replaced my glasses with the same pair that were stolen! I loved those glasses, so to get a brand new pair was such a great surprise! My daughter had a wonderful experience as well! She is so excited she can barely wait for her new glasses! She is in kindergarten, so she is very excited to show her friends her new pink glasses! We should be getting those either today or tomorrow! Thank you for being awesome ladies and gentleman! Sorry, I dont know the name of the friendly girl at the front desk! Dr Tavel in New Castle Indiana worst place ever to do business with . Tried calling 4 times over 3 days to make an appointment: got answering machine every time (during their business hours). Message says leave a message, and they will call back next day to schedule an appointment, of course they never did . Finally got a live person after a week of trying, and made an appointment. Was running little late for my appointment, tried to call, and of course got voicemail . Get there 12 minutes, and they proceed to tell me, they have a 10 minute reschedule policy, since I’m more then 10 minutes late, I’ll have to reschedule. I told them I’d just have to go to someone else, and they couldn’t have cared less !! Granted my fault for being late, but still a horrible place to do business with !!

I had a very pleasant experience at Dr Tavel. Staff was very respectful and knowledgeable of what all my insurance covered. Would definitely recommend! The appointment took only minutes to schedule and was told what all expenses I would have before I even had shown up to the appointment. When I had got there to check in, all the staff greeted me with a smile and were eager to check me in. Amazing place, it made my eye appointment much more tolerable than it usually is.

I was seen on time and efficiently. The doctor was kind and explained what he was doing and why. The staff helped me save money and explain what my insurance would cover and what the best deal would be. They also printed out rebates for my contacts to save me more money. I took my son here for a scratched cornea over the summer and it was a similar experience. I would highly recommend.

All the associates at Dr. Tavel were friendly and professional. They took care of my registration immediately and made sure all my information was up to date. My wait time for the exam was short and the preliminary eye diagnostics were performed quickly and efficiently. The optometrist took his time and explained what he was doing and why. Talking to him helped me decide what kind of glasses would work best for me. The person who helped me pick out my frames/ lenses was very helpful and answered all my questions. The whole experience was a positive one. Excellent service!

The staff was nice in general. But, it was basically a nightmare when it came to getting a pair of glasses. I guess they kind of tried. I only hope that no one else has the same experience as I did. Unfortunately, I believe I was fitted incorrectly for glasses upon my first attempt I tried to make them work, but I there continued to be something off with the vision. After going back and forth to over several months to correct the issue. The glasses were replaced, and lenses were correct, vision was good. But, the frames were reordered in a size larger than old pair, and I was told they did not offer a smaller size (exact same style). I may not use the glasses, but I am just be thankful to not deal with the headache of the back and forth. Best of luck to the dad who had a question about the fit of glasses on his son, and the same optician said oh no they will be fine, without addressing his concern.

Ive been coming to dr.tavel last 20 year wouldnt go no where else...great customer service great eye doctor! I definitely wont trust my eyes and other eye doctors other than talk to devil reasonable outstanding care and always helpful they treat you like their own family thanks to all the staff God bless..like. No glassed we end up here n a wreak

Dont go here for contacts. They tell you someone will call you back but that doesnt happen. I ordered my contacts 3 weeks ago. It took me calling them 4 times just to get them ordered. Im on my 3rd date on when theyll be in. They have no problem taking your money. Providing your product in a timely manner is not what they strive for. If your looking for high end products this place is for you. If your looking for a good personable place that cares about its customer, this place is NOT for you .

BEST DR. TAVEL IN THE INDY METRO. Big ups to ABBY + JOSHUA!!!The staff offer and execute extrodinary customer service, matched by impressive technical skill. Ive had wonky frames that get out of shape over time and the team hear always fit them to a back like new condition - impressive really.When Ive been disappointed at other Dr.T locations in Indy, specifically for retightening my frames (thick plastic) this Greenwood Dr.Ts always makes it right. I would go to them more often for these things, but its a bit of a haul to make it there... But when I call and tell them Im on the way, they acknowledge to let me know their doors lock automatically at closing. Just to share such important information is super key to offering good customer service.Sorry for the long review... I write emails all day for work. Cant wait to get my frames tightened up by these pros.

Super friendly and helpful staff who took the time to explain everything. We had new insurance and one staff printed off our coverage while another explained what exactly it meant to us. The wait was a bit long but it was a Saturday and we understood how busy a Saturday at the mall is!

I have a really strong prescription because my eyes are bad so they first they didn’t round and polish them so they came in and they look really bad that’s a free service that they do I didn’t bother to do it for me then they said they would remake them I get them in there didn’t have the transition to them so they’re remaking them for a third time and I asked that they compensate me considering they had to send it back for a third time and their reply to me was that they weren’t going to compensate me due to the fact that they were allowing me to get my glasses remade I thought that was nice of them to allow me to have their mistake remade

The dr made my 5-year-old feel so comfortable. They made sure I understood everything and were so helpful when we were choosing frames! Plus good deals and good prices. Great experience!

I went in with a good idea of what I wanted from research online and just people watching. Also I came in with my Rx, so that saved time. I was impressed with the selection of frames available. I quickly picked 2 that I liked and found out my insurance helped make them even more affordable. I was able to purchase both. Mine are really expensive lenses, so it was great to get a price break, and 2pair! Great staff, timely service. Thanks

Great visit with Dr. Dunlap! Great experience and help picking out new glasses! The staff stayed late after close, and were very attentive to my requests to try lots of frames.

The doctor was friendly. The staff very nice also on the first visit, but when my glasses were ordered the first time they didn’t order the bi-focal, they didn’t get up from the chair or offer to adjust my glasses and I couldn’t see. Had to wait over a week for another pair of lenses. This one the bifocal was to small and had to hold my glasses to see, but the gentleman did apologize and they were suppose to rush lenses, but they took longer to get here than the 2nd pair. On the 3rd trip to pick up again no one got up They handed me just lenses and I had to ask them to put them in my glasses. No one asked if fit was ok and I had to ask for them to tighten them then was told they could not adjust to where I could see without holding the glasses with my hand still. No apologies again. I finally asked for my RX and will go somewhere else to get another pair. I was extremely disappointed with my experience, especially after the first visit. I don’t recommend going here in my opinion.
