Worked here for just under a year so far, and I love it. Coworkers are great, management is great. Benefits, stock plans...hell, theres even a games committee.

Instructed HAZWOPER refresher class and I am very impressed!ERT personnel are great! After delivering training twice over two days and meeting 28 employees.The facility is spotless! The grounds the hallways the areas in the loading docks. Very ship shape everywhere. Friendly professional people they really are admirable! I look forward to returning and meeting more great people. Ive worked for a competitor of this company and this is by FAR a superior company in terms of treating their employees like humans. The person who said they were fired for their first absence is a liar - as a temp, (everyone in the industry hires employees as temporary for a trial period and convets those who are worth keeping) you can have one unexcused absence/call-in and you have 3 (unpaid) vacation days per 90 day period. The truth is the person who played that probably had several unexcused absences, were chronically tardy, or they were a bad worker and got let go. Unlike the competitor a few blocks away, Microchip doesnt put up with bad employees.Working here is a pleasure and they dont lie about the way they run their company. Its really refreshing to not constantly know you are being bsd.Quality standards for products are incredibly high and MC had a really good reputation with customers and employees. I recommend, if you are trying to escape another similar wafer manufacturer, giving Microchip a shot! The best 6 months of my 5 year wafer manufacturing career! Im getting converted from a temporary employee to an official one this week.

I worked at the Gresham Microchip. great employees!! Poor management!! They over work you.They act as if they care,but certainly dont.Someone told me something very traumatic about hurting his daughter.I needed a breather after he got fired be cuz everyone knew I was part of him getting fired.but didnt know why.I was harassed by this man at my house.He flattened my tire.numerous calls.So instead of helping they said I did a no call no show and fired me.When I tryed to get unemployment.They said I quit.I worked there almost a year.I have tryed to call management. They didnt have the decency to call me back.This place is a joke

I worked as a contractor for 10 days.Microchip technology knows how to respect each otherWe do our best to make working people comfortable. Also, the most important point is a company that is willing to pay more if it helps the company.
