When I pulled in the Elmsford store, the parking lot was full. I thought I would be all day checking out. Happily, they had an adequate number of cashiers on hand and it took me no longer than 2 minutes to purchase my items and walk out of the store.
I always go to this home Depot compared to the one in Yonkers because the staff here is way friendlier and much more helpful. Its not as crowded as Younkers but you can always find someone to help you and direct you to the right department. One staff member even walk me about 7 miles from one area to the other to show exactly where an item I was looking for was. This is now my go to home Depot
What can we say. Home depot is home depot. Convenient place to have in your neighborhood. With those random floods now never know what will come handy.
I just had the most pleasant experience at this Home Depot. Each employee I encountered at both Customer Service and the self-check out area were beyond helpful and nice to deal with. And five stars/kudos/two thumbs up to Lamar (Head Cashier) who went out of his way by calling us back when he found more of the item we were looking for. Wow, just, wow!
Dont know why people think the world revolves around them? Employees arent on the floor because they are trying to help other shoppers like you? Honestly best place to visit and get what I need in a pinch, amazing people and attitude that will make your day? What would I be with out you home depot?Nothing :)
I looked everywhere in New York for a certain blade for a miter saw. They had one at this location and Tonia would not quit until she found it for me. Make her the manager. Shes the best.
Home Depot needs to figure out how to keep a reasonably accurate inventory. It’s not just this store, but this is the one I go to most. Today it was closet doors. Internet says they have 6. Helpful employee checked and said they have none. Last time it was asphalt patch. Internet says they have over 300. Multiple helpful employees said they have none. Something seriously wrong with their system or its users.
Poor service - bought 5 1-inch vinyl blinds and brought them to store to cut by 1-inch as they were too long. The associate Charles at Windows Section starts telling me they can only cut metal blinds, not 1-inch vinyl blinds. I am now left with 5 blinds I can not use as they are 1 inch longer than my window.I searched home depot website, the company represented on their website their associate can help customer to cut blinds to fit, but that is wrong representation that led me to buy 5 of them I can not fit to my window.Poor service. - have lodged a BBB complaint and will try with other stores.

Huge shout out to Henry Timmons in Millwork at the Mt Pleasant store!! He was unfailing courteous and extremely helpful! (I KNOW -such an anomaly at Home Depot!)I need a new front door and he walked me through all the steps; was very patient when I misremembered the manufacturer of the door I wanted, and explained the process of getting a quote on installation and printed me a copy of everything --AND he explained that it might be possible to have the installer build out my jamb by 1/2 inch thus saving me $300 for a custom door.THEN 2 weeks later after I got the door measured by the installer and the quote for installation AND found that somehow after a round of emails they ordered me the custom door and the installation was ~ $300 more than I had thought. Needless to say I immediately tried to contact them by phone which was a complete exercise in futility! [Just DONT attempt to call him or ANYONE at the store --it simply doesnt work - you go around in a loop forever! ]Anyway I decided the only solution was to go back to the store and speak to them directly. AND fortunately I arrived at ~2:30pm - Henry was there (he had just come onto his shift) AND he wasnt busy!! He spent literally an hour with me going over all the charges, explaining the extra installation costs; he called the installer for me and explained that not getting the custom door would save me $300 and they agreed and explained they would just need me to get a $40 external door jamb kit.So Henry fixed my order: he removed the custom door, had me order the online standard door and gave me a bunch of discounts on the other supplies so that I ended up saving another $100!He is a prince! I have never had a nicer and more helpful interchange with a store employee! Seriously they should double his pay!!Thank you so much Henry!!
The experience was not good due to our Mr. Jun in the plumbing section refused to help me. I asked him if he can help me to find a reducer for my mini compressor and he said We dont sell compressors. I repeated what I was asking for and he keep saying We dont sell compressor. While in conversation with me, he walked away and proceeded to ask another customer if they needed help. I walked away shaking my head and another worker asked me if I needed help. I said no and explained what happened. Miss. Marilyn was more than will to helped me. I thanked her sincerely. Because she was willing to listen and help, I decided to complete my shopping instead of leaving. I saw Mr. Jun about 30 to 40 minutes later and he asked me if I was ok and I told him yes...considering you refuse to help me...He said nothing after that.
Great location, clean bathroom, plenty of parking and large selection of items including a large plant section. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is because the service is hit or miss. There are a lot of very helpful representatives but also a big percentage of grumpy ones. Im a female so I get the extra subordination that comes with my question. I go there prepared and ask few questions
Terrible customer service. Thoroughly disappointed. Staff was not pleasant to deal with. Bought a ryobi product 1 month ago crapped out. Home depot staff wanted to charge more money just to put in a claim and were not nice about it. Total scam of a place. Lowes it is from now on. Long time depot customer bye bye to that.

I used to love coming to this home depot 3-4 x a week just for the wonderful indoor plant selection. they used to carry costal farms hanging baskets at a great price, ever since they remodeled the plant section all they carry is ivy and ferns, soo disappointing.
Home Depot has very little competition so their customer service is terrible because they can be. I have found their delivery service always screws up something. Lost money doing business with this delivery service. Product line is adequate but not always the best.

Mixed experience here. I went for a return and had awful service. I asked for a store credit and was repeatedly told it was not possible for an online order, but I knew this was not true. After being yelled at by two separate women saying the system dictates what they can do and my past experiences were meaningless, they of course figured out that it is in fact possible to get a store credit. Then, when they gave me the store credit the amount they wrote was incorrect. When I told them I believed the number was incorrect, I was again told that I was wrong until they double checked and realized I was right.Through all of that I never got an apology for them being rude and wasted 15 minutes on something that should have taken 2-3. Afterwards, a manager overheard me venting to my SO about the whole encounter and was really nice about it. Then the woman that checked us out was also nice and friendly as well. Those last two interactions are why Im leaving two stars instead of just one

I came in for a thermostat for a customer what the thermostat installed the thermostat only to find that although the box was sealed and wrapped in cellophane this was an old thermostat as the temperature up and down buttons were badly worn and the thermostat did not work at all. Of course I returned it was able to get a working thermostat but doesnt account for my time which I surely cannot build my customer for because it was neither of our fault but the fault of home Depot so it required a second visit. Luckily the weather was not calling for heat or air conditioning. But the practice of re-wrapping packages that are brought back kind of is misleading and disappointing

We just purchased our Christmas tree there. Have a nice assortment of trees and are reasonably priced. We picked our tree out and within minutes it was packaged and put on top of a car nice job
The cashier jessica is really nice and sweet. jessica Doesn’t rush you she is willing to help you to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase! I always shop here . Have never seen jessica before but now I will always let jessica ring up my items ! While ringing up my items we even had a whole conversation !

If you’re looking for a place to have someone load something into your vehicle, you can forget it. The staff here ether never responds, or takes their sweet time. Every time I come here, I see the same one or two guys working the lot. I never had any interaction with them until yesterday.First off, I waited nearly 20 minutes for someone to come help me after I made my purchase of tiles, plywood, and 80 pound concrete mix. No one showed up. When I went to the cashier to call for loading assistance again, there was still no workers to be seen. I did see a staff member smoking in front of the store. I asked that person for help, but they were uninterested, and told me that they were on break in a very nasty tone.At this point, 20 minutes in, I was about to get the manager on duty to straighten their workers out. A worker in a Luigi hat comes out with his phone out. His name was Anthony. It’s the same worker that I mentioned before. I always see this man on his phone, whenever he works outside. He calls to see if anyone needs loading. He sees my order for a brief second, and then quickly pretends that I’m not there, so that he can avoid hard work and slack off. He turns his back, and I had to shout to get his attention. I see the look on his face, and he gives me a disgust work, cause he doesn’t want to do his work.As the man loaded my tiles and concrete mix into the car, the man was struggling to put them in by himself. After that, I had him put plywood on top of my vehicle. As soon as he puts it up, he walks away without tying twine to my vehicle. I tell him to do his job and tie it up. The man tells me that “he’s not so good at tying stuff to vehicles.”, and claims that he’ll find someone inside the store to come help tie down the plywood to my car. In reality, it was just a plain old excuse for him to run away from the job. Like what the heck? I’ve seen you work this store for several months. Do your job.I waited nearly 10 minutes for him to return with someone, but no one showed up, so I had another customer help me tie the plywood up.The Home Depot staff is lazy at best. If you’re going to work here, I expect the workers to do their damn job. I expect many workers to work their respective departments (like 5-7 people), especially on a Sunday. I expect you to know your knowledge about this store. I expect you to be big and strong, and I expect you to know how to tie down merchandise to vehicles. If I were the manager here, I’d fire them for not living the expectations of customers such as myself. If I need something loaded to my vehicle, I’m going to find another Home Depot, or even go to Lowe’s, because there’s never any staff member here who can spend 5 minutes of their sweet time helping a customer out with a simple task!

Todays visit was not the best because of the waiting time to get 2 copies of my house keys. I had to ask 2 different staff and wait each time I asked for someone to assist me. Finally, someone was able to make the copies. But I gave it a 4 stars because of the way the staff provided his service with a smile and consideration. I mean, The first staff that requested service for me saw me in another line now, to pay for the keys that I waited for too long to get and called me to ring me up! Thats was super nice! By the way they have very nice personalized key models to choose from @ different prices.
A manager produced a receipt I lost from a different HomeDepot two months ago. She looked into the issue for about 5 minutes with nothing about it.She then was able to to refund me and match the price of a ladder I bought the month before. That in total saved me $72 on a $150 purchase. The staff is generally professional or friendly most of the time. Products are decently stocked.
I would never recommend this store.The worst customer service that I had in all my life. They made me wait for more than an hour for a special order. a total waste of time.

I had a delivery for a refrigerator first of all the two men that showed up we could hardly understand they were Spanish we dont speak Spanish so right there that was already an issue language barrier.. then the fridge didnt fit but they still tried bullying us into signing that we received the fridge now we cant keep a fridge that doesnt fit then they kept yelling they had other jobs to do like hold on we are a job also these two men are not men I woukd recommend to use for this service they were rude and pushy and rushing very quickly to run to someone else appt when it was our scheduled time this issue needs to be fixed it is very upsetting and I javw anxiety so this didnt help me much at all clean up your act

This is one of the smaller Home Depot. Many of the staff are familiar with the trade.
They need to train their staff. And their staff need to show up when paged. More than once Ive given up and left after waiting 10 minutes.

The staff is polite, but this store doesn’t enforce face masks by either the employees or the customers. They have someone checking face masks at the front of the store, but then customers pop the masks under their noses or around their chins inside the store and nobody says anything. Floor employees, including cashiers, regularly have their face masks either uncovering just their noses or hanging around their chins.And nobody says anything. Except to glare at me (employees and customers alike) when I politely point at their noses or chins. Employees will sometimes fix their masks, for a few minutes, after I point at their faces.This has happened tens of times I’ve been in the store. It’s not an isolated instance.When I go in to search for an item, employees will tell me an aisle to go down, but often it’s the wrong aisle and/or they don’t stock the item.With a store that has incredibly iffy face mask policies, I want to get in and out quickly. But employees that don’t know where items are stocked or whether they have an item makes that impossible.I’m not going back. It’s just too unsafe there. I fully expect to see a local pandemic cluster related to this store.I’m giving it two stars because, even if employees aren’t knowledgeable about their store and appropriate mask usage isn’t enforced, the employees are polite.

Wonderful, friendly staff and service! Curbside pickup was a breeze. They have a staff member in the curbside area to help if you have difficulties using the curbside pickup option. The same member checked on me, to make sure that I did it correctly and then went inside the store to make sure that someone was bringing my order out. I never had to get out of my vehicle, they loaded it inside (neatly and carefully). This was one of my best Home Depot experiences!

Today an employee named Karin was very rude to me. I’ve been coming to this home depot for 10 years never had a bad experience until today. Aside from this employee this store is great! Most employees are helpful and some are knowledgeable.
I usually prefer local hardware stores for the knowledge and service they can provide. For a corporate place theyre pretty good. You just need to find the right person that knows how to help.

I often visit this home depot throughout the year. The parking here is excellent. I love the once in a year rug sale that they have and Ive actually purchased some quality foreign made rugs here. The store is very clean and spacious. The staff is helpful. During the holiday season you can get lots of things for Christmas. I often use their lighting department for fixtures. Check out here is pretty simple and their customer service desk is in quality command.
RUDE STAFF! first I go down the grill aisle to grab some stuff, I’m not there 5 seconds before one of the staff demands I leave so they can use the forklift. Not asked DEMANDED. The operator who was with the forklift then told me very politely you can finish grabbing what you need then please leave the aisle so we can do what we gotta do. No problem I knew exactly what I needed. The woman then said I’d better hurry up. Grabbed what I needed and thanked the forklift operator. Also while I was online for the customer service desk they never closed the aisleWent to the customer service area to grab my online order. Girl behind the desk was GREAT. She got my cover and had someone go grab my new grill(on-line order that was supposed to be assembled) she rings my stuff up and says he will be another minute. I get called over and it’s the box. Told the guy it’s supposed to be assembled. He just nastily says too bad, we aren’t doing that for another month. Don’t listen to the website and storms off. Now I’m trying to find someone on the staff to help me load this grill into truck and no staff would help or just walked away. 165 pounds this box weighs. A plumber parked by me and was getting out and when I asked to help me load it he did.I know times are bad. I’m at work too 6-7 days over 12 hours a day so I know the feeling why everyone’s not happy. But a phone call saying we can’t assemble it right now would’ve been fine and no problem. There was no need for any rudeness that was at the store today. I plan on calling corporate as well to give them this story

Beware if you go to the Home Depot in Hawthorne, NY - specifically the mini-blind/carpet dept. There is an employee, Rosario, who refuses to wear his mask properly and talks to customers face to face (not socially distanced) with his mask well under his nose. When I asked him to cover his nose, he gave me such attitude and wouldnt do it until I repeated demanded that he do it. When I walked away, my husband heard him complaining to his co-workers about me.This was just yesterday and it was the 2nd time I was there within the last week. The first time I was there I didnt say anything but when he came over to help me, I backed away so that I wasnt close to him.If you care about protecting yourself from COVID-19, stay far away from that department. But what is more worrisome is that no one in the store was making sure that the employees, in general, were wearing masks properly.
Waited 25 minutes for someone to cut a piece of wood for me was the straw that broke the camels back. This one was good at one time but its service is going down the tubes. Ill drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Lowes from now on.
I ordered curbside delivery. They were slow coming out but no worries. The sheetrock wouldnt fit in my small SUV but the associate strung it unto my hood and really performed above and beyond expectation. Superb customer service!

The only retail game in town due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My local store is fairly well stocked and the wait time to enter the store was quite reasonable. Once inside the store was not too crowded and there was adequate staff to help.
They dont want to sell mini ac splits for sure.i asked customer service about ac splits, she looked me in the face as if she heard first time about it and send me to somewhere to wait and wait and wait. i left and will try another company
This is our preferred location for many reasons, but the quality of their customer service is at the very top of our list. We recently ran into a delivery issue due to COVID-19, and were pleasantly surprised by Louis and Juan. While in the store discussing the issue Louis took the time to listen and outline our options. When none of the options were going to work he told us that he would give us a call in a couple of days with a plan and it’s exactly what he did! I was skeptical at first, but he went above and beyond. Thank you Louis and Juan for getting our sliding door to us so that we could start a very necessary home project. Having only been homeowners for a few years, there are many projects on the list. We plan on seeing you all again very soon. Highly recommend this store.

The best of the locations near my house. Employees are not only friendly but genuinely want to be helpful. A breath of fresh air after having bad experiences with other stores and even locations from the same company. Store is orderly and has a great stock. If theyre out, theyll quickly either order what you need or direct you towards nearby locations that will have it which is great. Find myself going out of my way to come here moreso than the location closer to my house.
