I have been working with Paul and Dan (and their team) from Trademark Design and Build for over 15 years on various projects in our home. I think they have left their mark on just about every room! We keep going back to them for a number of reasons: their thoughtful design; the execution of the project; and finally, the end result. They have designed and installed built in cabinets in our family room, and managed to design the project around a built in room air conditioner; designed and built a built in bookcase and cabinets in my craft room (now an office); put absolutely beautiful crown moldings and wainscoting in our dining room and living room; designed a mantel and surround for our living room fireplace; designed and coordinated the re-do of our finished basement (sheet rock, cabinetry, flooring, moldings, etc...); designed and redid 3 bathrooms (one of which was so small that I wasnt sure what we would do with it, but Paul and Dan managed to design it so that it had everything that was needed and even somehow found room for a built in linen closet!). I could go on, but the point is that they listen to what you are looking to do and come up with a plan. They sit with you to to review and tweak the plan so that it is exactly what you want (actually, better than what you thought you wanted!!!). I have never seen better workmanship once the project begins and they keep you in the loop every step of the way. Finally, when the job is done, you have a beautiful renovation that is complete. There are no nits that havent been addressed. And if there are any issues that come up after the completion of the project, they are there to address them and are responsive - they dont disappear!We are in the process of selling our house and everyone who has come to see it (from the realtors to the potential buyers) have commented on so many of the projects that they have done here - about how beautiful and appealing they have made our home, and the value they have added. I have no hesitation recommending them for any home renovation. Trademark delivers!

When my husband and I made the decision to renovate the entire first floor of our home we were both unsure of what we ultimately wanted in a design. We also had no idea who we should call. To make this project even more challenging we had to have it done in under 8 weeks for a family gathering so we had no time to spare. After countless days of scouring the internet for a company that would suit both our design and construction needs, we found Trademark. Our initial meeting with Paul was at our home and incredible! He envisioned our space in a way that we could never have imagined it. Dan oversaw the exceptional team of craftsmen that were to transform our home into what would become, eight weeks later, a space that belonged on the front cover of an architectural magazine.The demolition of our home took place the 1st week in March 2020, which unbeknownst to us would be the week before the Covid-19 pandemic would surface throughout the world. Not only did Dan ensure that we got the necessary permissions from the state to continue our project but he also ensured the safety for both our family and his team members by implementing safety precautions around the house to keep us all separated…. and full steam ahead they went.The team of craftsmen that worked on our home…Lou, Dan and Tyler… are the most talented men we have ever experienced. They worked tirelessly all day with the highest level of professionalism. We were stunned by their skill set, attention to detail and precision.Exactly 8 weeks later, our first floor is done and it’s GORGEOUS!!! In fact, it is so beautiful that it doesn’t match our second floor…which we never intended to do…but now we get the chance to work with this fantastic team again!!! After living in a set borrowed from “Mad Men” for over ten years, my husband and I decided it was time to renovate our kitchen. We knew it was not going to be an easy task and had to find the right craftsmen for the job. From the first time I spoke with Paul on the phone, I had a good feeling. He was knowledgeable and provided us with an itemized, detailed quote; no stone was left unturned. Paul helped us at the appliance store, granite and tile stores to ensure that we picked the most appropriate items for our kitchen. Every day (even on the days with the worst, winter weather) someone was working on our kitchen to make sure it was done on time. We couldnt be happier with the finished product. Trade Mark Interiors renovated our kitchen and bathrooms and we couldn’t be happier.Not only did I need to find a reputable contractor to completely renovate our kitchen, but also someone who was able to identify and fix all of the deficiencies left by our previous contractor. After an agonizing 3-year ordeal with our previous Englewood Cliffs-based designer/contract, we were left with leaking showers, loose tiles, and a non-working radiant floor heating system.I met with at least 4 different contractors, checked references, portfolios, and assessed the design ability of each. Ultimately, I selected Trade Mark Interiors based in Hawthorne, NJ. Owners Paul and Dan and their team were first tasked with fixing our bathrooms. What started out as replacing loose tiles quickly turned into the discovery of mold from incorrectly installed showers. The scope of work transitioned into an entire gut-job with remediation. Although this took more time than we initially thought, had it not been for their thorough exploratory work, we would never have known that mold was infiltrating both bathrooms. The bathrooms turned out great with a noticeable difference in workmanship.The larger, more exciting project was our Kitchen Remodel and Home Bar! Paul met with our designer and offered a variety of materials and styles from which to choose. We wanted something unique and modern, rather than traditional and boring, and Trade Mark exceeded our expectations. The sourcing of such unique materials as wood from a recently dismantled barn in the midwest, to a modern zinc encased resin countertop, really gave Trade Mark an edge over other run-of-the-mill kitchen contractors.Their workmanship and attention to detail was remarkable and it was refreshing to have the same workers in our home day after day (our previous contractor subbed everything out to countless different companies). Throughout the project, Paul and his team were in constant communication through their project management application. This ensured that all concerns and requests were met, right down to the last detail.The photos of our kitchen and bar speak for themselves, but needless to say, we are extremely happy with the finished products. There are so many contractors in Northern Jersey who cut corners to make a quick buck. We found ourselves in that mess with our first contractor. Fortunately, Trade Mark has proven to be reasonable, honest, and very talented. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend consulting with Paul for your Kitchen renovation!

Trade Mark was nothing but amazing to work with! Having done other major remodeling in the past which were a nightmare, we always go into new projects a bit skeptical.Paul was the 1st person you meet. He was the brains’ of the project. He designed the project on paper with our ideas. My husband and I had two different ideas for this kitchen remodel in mind. My husband on the one hand wanted something calm not a dramatic change, on the other hand, I wanted a “WOW” tear-down all the walls project! What I had in mind was major, we decided to do the kitchen Rip Out- the walls to the studs, and work on the back extension. Paul managed to mash our ideas! From start to finish the experience was a breeze but make sure you listen to Paul he has been experience with remodeling! When he suggests something it’s because your home probably needs it, not because he wants you to spend more money!Then, there was Lou, Dan and Tyler, I can’t say enough about how professional the crew was. They cleaned up before they left the house every day, were considerate about not being loud, and the most important part was that the project ran on time. Paul, Lou and Trade Mark are fantastic. A year ago they redid our kitchen. Paul was great helping us plan and figure out what we wanted. Everyone at Trade Mark was very responsive with any questions and requests we had during the work, and we love our new kitchen.About a month ago, I had a question about one of the installs they did, and Lou came out to check it and spent a couple hours making sure everything was correct.That’s an amazing response considering the original work was completed a year ago!I’ll use Trade Mark again, when we’re ready for our next update, and gladly recommend them to others!

I totally redid my kitchen with Trade Mark Design & Build and am thrilled with the results. Since I really needed a lot of guidance figuring out what I wanted, I appreciated that Trade Mark patiently worked with me to refine the designs over and over again until I was satisfied we got everything just right. They really thought about every last detail and guided me through not only the overall layout and cabinetry but also the selecting of everything from appliances to countertops, from tiles to lighting to wall paint color. I liked that they dont hire random day workers - they have only regular long-term workers so I felt totally comfortable leaving them alone in my house at all times. They were great about cleaning up really well every day throughout the job. I would definitely use them again!

We chose Trade Mark to design and install our new kitchen following a recommendation from our architect. I would recommend Trademark Design without reservation. We had a tremendously positive experience working with Paul, Dan and their team. After interviewing several contractors I decided on Paul and Trademark for several reasons. Paul listened carefully to us as we articulated our needs for our new kitchen and new master bathroom. We always knew what was coming next and about how long it would take.The work was finished not only on time but a few days early! We worked with Trade Mark to build a brand new Master Bathroom and absolutely loved the result. Paul made everything really easy for us from the beginning and came up with the optimal design of exactly where to place it within our bedroom and how to arrange it inside. We had a great experience working with Paul, Dan, and the other guys at Trademark. We hired them to gut renovate our kitchen. Paul was patient during the design stage and exhibited the right balance of trying to incorporate our wants into the final design while pushing back when he thought something we suggested was not going to practically work. We ran into a significant delay with the backsplash tile supplier (not their fault) which pushed back the completion of the project, but they stepped up to interface with the tile supplier and hold them accountable where other contractors might have said, not my problem. There were some unexpected changes needed as the project proceeded, but thats honestly to be expected when youre gut renovating a kitchen in a 100+ year old house. They handled the project smoothly and professionally. They sought to do a high quality job while still paying attention to keeping the overall cost down. I would definitely recommend them to others!

Our kitchen was sorely in need of renovation and redesign; we had a large kitchen area with a shortage of useful cabinet and countertop space. When we first met with designer and owner Paul, we presented him with some preliminary plans. Unlike other kitchen designers we had met with previously, Paul was the first to recommend an alternative to our plan, suggesting a kitchen layout we had not yet considered. When Paul presented the finalized plan and showed us Trademark’s offering of quality materials, we were certain of our decision to enlist this company for our kitchen redesign project.After we carefully reviewed the design details with Paul and made our cabinet & hardware selections, his partner Dan took the lead on the actual renovation work. Throughout the process, both Paul and Dan frequently communicated the status of the project, relayed any issues they encountered, and made helpful design suggestions. In addition, they guaranteed the quality of the materials sourced from the manufacture, by replacing any part that was shipped with even a minor cosmetic defect, without us prompted them to do so.The final result was fantastic - we now have a beautiful and functional kitchen, and a first floor that is brighter and more open. Trade Mark Design & Build did a complete kitchen remodel for us in 2011. They not only planned a great open-concept design (and actually swapped out our diningroom and old kitchen to make it work). While we had visions of grandeur, Paul and Dan helped us to select products within our budget and we were thrilled with the outcome. Our outdated tiny 1970s kitchen is now a beautiful, spacious combination of contemporary stainless and granite but also rich, warm real wood cabinets and new hardwood floors. From demo to trim/installation, the workers were polite, competent and punctual and the complete job was done by the projected deadline. Even a year later, when we had questions about our granite, Paul and Dan BOTH came out THAT DAY to help. Probably the best part of working with Trade Mark was our trust in them. They were down to earth, nice guys, who did what they said they would do to complete our job the way we wanted. We were very pleased that we selected Trade Mark Design & Build.

Our family living space in our home in Wyckoff was burdened by the limitations imposed by an out-of-date kitchen. Despite being a sizable room, it had insufficient counterspace and the layout was poorly organized. To make matters worse, the adjoining dining room was separated by a wall.Trade Mark, a Kitchen Remodeling Contractor, had the inspirational idea to take down the wall and make the kitchen the dining room and the dining room the kitchen. The result is a living space that not only meets our needs but enhances our quality of life.Trade Mark worked with us to align their design expertise with our own personal tastes. The kitchen, done in a Transitional style, now overlooks our beautiful backyard, has gorgeous and ample cabinetry, a large island, and the space is so perfectly organized that it makes cooking a pleasure rather than a chore.It opens up into what is now a much larger dining room that is perfectly situated for entertaining and family meals.The kitchen is now adjacent to our living room, which makes it easy to watch TV or talk with family and friends while cooking or just relaxing on the stools next to the large and functional island. So the renovation has had the added benefit of making the our primary living space a Great Room characterized by a perfect flow between the rooms.Everyone who sees it says it looks like a $1 million kitchen.What was our least favorite room in the house is now the center of our lives – and a selling point for our house.

I would never hire them again. Ok design, horrible execution. Most of the work was subcontracted to what it seemed to be the cheapest bidder. The main guy who worked on the project was hired prior to the job and fired shortly after. Measurements were wrong - had to narrow the basement door to accommodate their mistake from one side and to have a 4 inch wide cabinet on the other end to fill in the gap. Very defensive. Huge delays. Cold air still comes through the plugs in a newly built exterior wall .. I can go on for ever... Contact me if you would like more information.
