I had a pretty good experience shopping around for a BRZ at Harley Swain Subaru. Edwin helped me out, he took his time, walked me through manuals, and how they worked. He was super patient and answered all the questions I had. Edwin was also super professional and got me a pretty good deal. This was a really good experience.

My family and I have been in the market for another vehicle since we now have 4 drivers in our home. We visited Harley Swain Subaru Hermiston and met Payton. We told him we were just looking at the used inventory... something that would hold 6 passengers and that we were prior Subaru owners (1998-2002, Outback and Outback Sedan). Payton asked if we had heard of the Ascent. There was a 2021 Touring Ascent on the lot... and what do you know?... we fell in love with it instantly! We would be able to rejoin the Subaru family and seat 6 comfortably... and know that we are safe and secure. We went home that evening and decided the Ascent would fit us well.We met with Payton the next day, secured the deal and drove away extremely happy with the vehicle and the experience! Payton didnt pressure us in any way and answered our questions professionally and expertly. Antonio in finance worked the deal so quickly that we were complete with everything in record time!We have been Swain GMC customers for the past 10 years (excellent, top notch as well, go Terry and the entire team!) and will continue to work with these two dealerships exclusively till the end... great hometown values and service!

Today is the last time that I will use Harley Swain for servicing my car. I have had issues with the service department in the past, but in our rural area, they are the closest dealership. (about an hour and a half from my home.) The first thing that I noticed as I was walking up was that they were not enforcing the state wide mask mandate for their customers. Turns out that no employees were wearing them either. I totally support folks that chose to play Russian Roulette with their own health, however, no one asked me if I wanted to play. I think that it was a reasonable assumption on my part that there would be safety precautions taken, given that there is an on going pandemic and a mask mandate. I wasnt asked if I had underlying conditions or if I love someone who I would like to protect. It was either not get my car serviced or run a significant health risk. At the very least, their website should have given notice that they are going to be in violation of public health measures, so that I could have not made the drive.

I just took my 2014 subaru crosstrek in for repairs and services. I was so pleased with there service Department and how they would inform me of costs and repairs needed. My Bill was nothing compared to what I thought it would be. They were very good to me! Love Harley Swain Subaru.

PSA: When you go to Harley Swain Subaru in Hermiston, beware of the service department.My son took his Subaru in to them this week, and AS SOON AS HE DROVE AWAY, the car started blowing a fuse. The Nav/Stereo/HVAC controls/remote locks/Dome Lights/Security System are all now not opperational. Of course, they say its completely unrelated to what they did, but are happy to fix (and charge), Reece to repair the problem. Josh, the service manager says he has this conversation all the time with customers.🤦Frustrating that my son would have this much bad luck. Please share with your friends that are Subaru owners!Double🤦

Car shopping can be miserable but luckily I found Swain Motors and was able to work directly with Ron Treddenbarger to purchase my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. Ron was patient and answered all my questions. He made me feel comfortable making a big purchase and worked with us to make sure it was a hassle free process! I highly recommend reaching out to Swain motors for all your car buying needs!

DO NOT RECOMMEND the service center!! We took our car in to get an overheating issue checked out. They found a crack in the radiator and told us it would take 2 hours to fix. We agreed to the repair and got a call back 45 mins later telling us the new radiator was in but after replacing it they had found that we had a rod knock (clearly the “2 hour repair” is just to charge more for labor). The salesman tried to convince us that the rod knock meant the car was totaled, saying repairs would cost over $5000. We took it to an actual mechanic and he replaced the engine for $2500. If the people at the Subaru dealership had it their way, we would have left the car there for scrap and driven off in a new one off their lot. Dishonest and shady people over there. Be sure to get a second opinion.

Great service, we needed a newer car! We had one picked out. Time was an essence! Harley Swain had the financing completed by the time we got there. Just had to test drive, sign and purchase.

Service department charged $25 to put new windshield wipers on car (purchased at dealership at inflated prices compared to any normal autoparts store). When I said that at least I should have been told that they would charge such labor on a job that takes perhaps one minute their attitude was dismissive and basically too bad. They lost a regular customer today.

I made an appointment for windshield wiper replacement.When I arrived I was told that it wasn’t covered, and this was something they don’t do. I could however go buy windshield wipers and they would help me install them.I went to my car to read the warranty info. I found out I did not qualify because my car was just over the 36,000 mile warranty for this service.I went back in to apologize and explain that I found out that my car didn’t qualify and again he offers for me to go buy my own wipers and they would help me install them.I then look up to see that windshield wiper replacement is on the service board and it $49. I was never offered the service as an option.

I went here to look at a vehicle, just stopped by to look at the price, didn’t even have a chance to check the price of the vehicle before the salesman came out (not wearing a mask). I was wearing one. Discouraging and made me leave to feel safe. He literally walked wherever we drove in our car. I was looking to buy but will not now because they aren’t taking safety precautions seriously, especially not knowing if a customer could be high risk.

I have never had such a pleasant experience purchasing a car! I told Shawn what I wanted, and he and Mike quickly found one for me! Great staff who treat you like you are family. I wont go anywhere else, and neither will my coworkers. Thank you, Harley Swain!

I wish I could give them zero stars. Please please PLEASE do not waste your time and money at the Hermiston Subaru. The mechanic checked my car, said everything was fine and within hours of driving it afterwards it broke down due to damage caused by the mechanic. They charged $350 for that. No refund. Before Subaru touched my car it was running perfectly!! Now I have to fix all of their mistakes.

Had some issues with the pre owned vehicle but they took care of it. They will make sure you are taken care of.Thank you 😊

I am not happy with Subaru as a whole right now and tired of excuses and being told well thats why that department has been replaced. That answer didnt fix the fact that our car is costing us money that we should not have to be spending in the first place.

I was highly impressed with this small town dealership. I originally spoke with Peyton to consult on my in-laws purchase of a new outback. We had not worked with the Hermiston dealership before and was prepared for the traditional back and fourth process.Peyton was very polite, accommodating, and felt that he genuinely cared about our experience. They were able to reach agreeable terms and their deal went smoothly. Peyton was very honest and quick to have our questions answered and kept us in the loop throughout the entire experience.Peyton was such an easy sales person to work with we decided to purchase a vehicle as well! We weren’t in the market for a vehicle at that moment but still ended up driving all the way to Hermiston (about 2500 miles round trip) just to work with them! The General Manager Mike was straight forward and it was a very transparent process. Antonio in the finance department made the paperwork process very smooth.We ended up purchasing a sport Impreza which doesnt come equipped with roof racks. We had racks included in our deal and John in the parts department kept us in the loop as far as back order and shipping time went and was very polite every time I spoke with him (whom I probably called once a week or so). Highly highly recommend these guys. Ask for Peyton he was great to work with! 5 stars!

Thank you all so much!! I love my Forester. I was finally able to check a few items off my bucket list. I have now seen the Redwoods, driven up Hwy 101 and been to the Oregon Gardens. All of that would not have been possible had you not got me into the right car for my needs. Your Service Department and Sales people always treat me like family. Its comforting to do business in this fast paced world and not be treated like a number or like you are running people through like cattle.

These guys are great! I needed some servicing and they accommodated my schedule and did a wonderful job. They did more than they had to, as well, without charging extra.Also got some extra attention from one of their employees (see photo). I wouldnt take my Outback anywhere else in Oregon.

I originally bought my Subaru in the town I lived in but had an issue and came to this store since I have moved here to get it resolved. The manager Shawn took great care of me in figuring out a solution to my problem! I appreciate all he did even though I wasn’t an original customer, he went above and beyond, it pays to calmly talk to someone when you have something go wrong.Also in the service department Sean L. does a great job with my cars maintenance and making sure my car is running how it should, and explaining anything I have questions about.I would highly recommend checking them out when buying your next car and taking your car there for service!

I went into this process all backwards! I got my loan first then went to find a car. They worked with me and never till the signing needed me physically there. We find the car we were interested in. I sent over an offer to the company and they countered an offer and we then from there we got the ball rolling. I sent an offer over Friday (at closing), counter offer sent to us Early Saturday, picked up car Sunday. There were maybe 6 phone calls made between us in those 3 days. This was so smooth and I would do it again this way and if I need another car they will have my business!

I just bought a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek and I am absolutely in love with it! Its a beautiful and fun car to drive but my buying experience was even better! Mike, Shawn and Antonio did everything possible to get me the exact car I wanted at a price within my budget and at a great rate. I couldnt have asked for a better buying experience. The sales and service people have also been extremely helpful in making sure that all my questions about equipment and how things work are answered. My husband and I went Hermiston to meet our daughter. We had arrived there before she did so we decided to look at Subaru. We have been looking at them. We went in to Harley Subaru not expecting to buy a car. Larry was a great salesman and gave answered any questions that we asked. We were able to purchase our new car at a lower price than we could at home. Larry went out of his way to make sure that we had all of the information that we needed with the Forester. I would recommend shopping at Harley Swain Subaru.

On Sat. June 3 I was able to schedule an oil change which is atypical for this dealership. The reason was that the GM Mike was training a service technician Jacob, to handle the service paperwork. In a nutshell all three of us were in for a surprise! I was surprised to receive a free oil change and a half price new car battery and Jacob/Mike were surprised by the amount of learning opportunity my simple appointment generated. Because of Subarus service excellence initiatives and because of Mikes knowledge of the discounts associated with them the unexpected problems with my Forester were thoughtfully addressed at a minimal cost. Jacob did a great job with explaining the problems, Mike did a similarly great job with explaining the solutions. The service and the can do attitudes underline why I am a Subaru owner and will continue to be. Well done!

Super place to get a car they do everything they can to match the amount you are able to pay for car payments. Even if you think there is no way. They will find a way for you. All the people there are very friendly.

Ok. Update.. Upon arriving home and looking things over, I found that the mechanic broke my left interior windshield dressing. I called and talked to Curtis and he said bring it back. That was a three hour drive one way. At the time I was working but very shortly after was not. So, I waited till it was feasible and guess what... Curtis didnt document the Incedent .. I couldnt believe my ears. So, just a word of advice. Stay away from that place. No bueno.Lying, cheating, two face.That mechanic knew he broke that trim piece and covered it up till I left...

Luis and Don were more than patient with me while I tried to make up my mind, going back several times to test drive the same vehicle after driving other makes. Answered question after question, and when I finally decided, but said it had to be a red one (which they didnt have on the lot), they went to work to find a red one from another dealer so I didnt have to wait for one from the factory. I love my Scarlett and the service department takes great care of her for me!Its highly likely Ill buy from them again.

After a phone conversation with the service department I was told to schedule an appointment to get my transmission looked at. When I arrived they blew me off and said all the issues I was having we’re normal without looking at a thing. Would have been nice to know before I drove 90 minutes to get it looked at!

I was interested in purchasing a vehicle and after looking at it for a few days I went in to make an offer. Of course they counter-offered a little higher and before making the decision I wanted to leave the dealership to think about it and discuss it. Upon getting inside my current vehicle the salesman approached me with an ultimatum stating that if I left they would raise the price by $1000 dollars. I called back later to see if I could accept their original offer; they said no and had indeed raised the price by $1000. Not impressed with their audacity.

I was more interested in buying than they were in making an effort to show me what I wanted!they tryed to show me higher priced cars.

People were polite and friendly. Car needed servicing for hard water stains and scratches on the paint and windows and still does. A new car should not be sold in that condition and should not have to be discovered by the new owner, taken back for repair, losing time, and given a dirty used car for a loaner while his car is being repaired. I was offered nothing for my time and trouble lost because of dealer negligence.

I went to this dealership to look at a car and the man was rude to me as soon as I got out of the car. He assumed I was too young to drive and was too poor to afford the car I was looking at. I have never been to a dealership where I was treated so rudely. Go to any other dealership and you will be a lot happier. This dealership ruined my day and I would never suggest someone go there to buy a car. I am very disappointed, this is a nice looking dealership, yet I have been treated nicer at those low-end dealerships. Save yourself the trouble and go to a real Subaru dealership.

I went to this Subaru dealership about purchasing a new Subaru Outback and trading in my 2013 vehicle on the transaction. First, the salesperson didnt know about the vehicle I was looking at. I asked him if it had LED daytime running lights and he said yes it did have them. Upon turning on the parking lights I noticed that it did not have LED running lights. Then he said he was thinking of another vehicle that they were trying sell on the sale lot, Oh yeah right! Secondly, when we started talking about the price they gave me low ball trade-in figure for my 2013 vehicle but didnt lower the MSRP price of the new vehicle. I have never paid MSRP for a new vehicle. They told me that they could sell at that price because they were selling so many. NOT ME. BUYER BEWARE the salespeople at Harley Swain Subaru are slick and slippery. Theyll tell you anything, even if its not true, to get you to buy from them.

Nice helpful employees that get the job done. Just make sure you are clear on what you want and they will get it done.

Started out nice, test drove, liked a couple cars and were told during the whole viewing process that its Black Friday, here to make a deal, want to get rid of these cars since its the end of the month, blah blah. Then when it came to the sit down 1) he didnt like that we had financing handled and werent going to go thru their bank direct deal. 2) he laughed and Scoffed our initial offer and left to go chat with the boss 3) then came back without a counter and suggesting that we offer around sticker price despite saying the whole time lets make a deal. 4) made another offer and he came back and laughed again and said no, started gathering his papers and making comments about he is not going to change his mind, blah blah and still didnt even give a counter. So I left. Straight up classic salesman. Rude and unprofessional.
