Jessie gave me exceptional service by helping me and my daughter upgrade our phones. It started off with an IT issue that lasted for seven days that had my account locked up….very frustrating and disappointing. My daughter’s phone was having some issues and she needed to upgrade before she left for the beach. Jessie followed up with me daily until the issue was resolved which was just in time for my daughter to leave for the beach. Jessie was extremely patient, knowledgeable and understanding to why I was getting frustrated that this IT issue went on for one week. She even kept in touch with me on her day off. Seth was helpful but my husbands phone was out of warranty & has battery issues & our insurance isnt going to cover the problem...due to age of phone. We must make a decision of what to do now. Problem not solved today. (3/03/21)Follow Up Post on 3/05/21:After taking with Customer Service at Verizon I did have insurance to cover the battery issue on this phone and the warranty department sent my husband a refurbished Google Pixel 2XL since none of his actual phones were still available. The C/S person advised me Hickory has 2 types of Verizon stores. The store I visited is not a corporate store but sells Verizon merchandise and will offer other services that corporate stores do not. The location on Highway 70 which is closed more than open is a Corporate location and they know about the different insurance policies and look at policy coverage. I had this same battery problem with my phone over a year ago and the location on Highway 70 (close to the Catawba Mall) didnt question anything and sent my replacement phone immediately. That is basically why once he told me no replacement due to out of warranty it just didnt seem right. I had to research how much I was paying for insurance and it was $22.00 a month for 2 Google Pixel XL phones and that coverage is for everything that could happen except for water damage I believe. Know your insurance coverage and what it pays. Im glad I checked and Im returning old phone via UPS today 3/09/21.

Thank you Matt Day for helping me on January 30th to replace my lost phone and getting the new one set up. Some information I did not have with me but with Matts patience and perseverance he was able to get the new phone set up just as the old one. I was expecting to spend days trying reconstruct the apps and settings but it was seamless. And I love the new phone it works great.

Going to a cellular phone retail outlet is among my least favorite things to do in life. Memories of extended waits while a representative finished with the customer ahead of you or delays in transferring data from the old device to the new trigger great dread of even pulling into the parking lot. What a refreshing and pleasant surprise it was to go to the Viewmont location of Cellular Sales earlier this week and meet Courtney Bazzle, sales leader/store manager. I dropped in to ask a question about retrieving photos from an old phone no longer in use. Courtney is impressive in her professional presentation, demeanor, and engagement. She answered that question quickly and was receptive to entering another question about my present phone and replacing what I thought was a damaged screen protector. She graciously pointed out that it was the liquid glass screen that needed to be replaced and very kindly reviewed the options that I had to replace the screen and keep the device or take advantage of a current Verizon promotion to replace the phone. After reviewing the options with my wife, we decided that replacing the phone would be the better option. Courtney scheduled an appointment for me and assisted in the activation of the new device and transfer of lots of material from the old phone in well under the one hour time estimate. Excellent customer rapport and service from beginning to end! Outstanding!!

**UPDATE**After receiving what appeared to be an automated generic response to my previous review, the SALESMAN reached out to me DIRECTLY and explained what had happened. The issues I was having switching to a business account falls at the feet of Verizon Corporate office. Once again, the salesman tried his best to rectify the problem I was having. The customer service with Alan is phenomenal.*Original Post*I went to this location strictly because of the salesman. First let me commend Alan on his help. Now, as for the rest of the service I can tell you its about as useless as spoiled milk. After thinking my account was switched to a business plan, AFTER RECEIVING A CONFIRMATION EMAIL STATING SO, my account has been charged at the consumer rate. I had received no letter, call etc stating there was a problem. The salesman, again went out of his way to help. TWO billing cycles later, the problem still has not been fixed NOR was I contacted stating there was a problem. If this store location attempts to help with account matters then I would suggest learning what the hell you are doing. And the salesman done his job, and then some, so dont attempt to lay the blame at his feet.

I did an Android update, and a bunch of my apps started crashing when I selected them.I walked in to the Verizon store with no waiting and the tech immediately recognized the problem and updated my Google Chrome and fixed everything except he had to re-pair my phone and car to do hands free operation. We worked with Matt Day from the team at the Hickory location on Center Street and he was awesome. He was very patient with our needs and took the time to explain everything to us. His customer service skills are second to none. If you need help with cell phones and all of the service options available with Verizon, this is the person to talk to.

Go see Jessie! She was very patient with us, and got us the help we needed. She took time to ask us questions to better help my husband and I. We informed her that we never received a promotional gift card for each of our lines, which was a promotion that was going on before Christmas. Jessie did what she needed to do to get those sent out to us. Come to find out, the original agent we worked with at a different VERIZON store claimed he had us all set up to receive the gift cards when he never even started the process! We received word a few days ago that our promotion was approved and we should receive them soon. Jessie followed up with me to make sure they went through.

We switched my daughter over to Verizon back in March 19, as well as upgraded her phone. We were able to schedule an appointment, and when we arrived, Rikki Graham took care of us. She was able to alleviate all of my daughters concerns about switching providers and brand of phone. She found the best deal for us, and set up everything to make the transition simple and problem free. She also pulled up my wife and my plans and found cost savings for us as well. Additionally, Rikki has been available to us for any questions we have, and has followed through with us for the past 2 months, and today determining athat we could reduce our data plans and save money. We feel like Rikki is our own personal cellphone tech, and she is the perfect example of what costumer service should be! Great job!!

A little late on this review, but better late than never. I consider myself a regular at this Verizon store location. Ironically I live 6 minutes away from the location on HWY 70, but when it comes to treating customers how they should be treated, your location on HWY 127 has the 70s location beat by a mile and some. I originally came into the store for a basic bill pay and some general info, but the red-headed individual by the name of Justin? I believe his name was turned my entire day around. This guy was amazing! He stated out of the group he was newer to the gig, but his patience and knowledge overall would have told me otherwise. He provided me all the info i needed & originally I came in only to pay my bill with an iphone 6 and by the time we were done I had a brand new Iphone 11 in hand, while he also instructed me how to save some money on my bill each month simply by an auto-pay enrollment! who would have thought?! This guy is good. Not only will I continue to be his customer, but my entire family and friends will be headed his way.

I always dread changing cell carriers. However, this time, we were fortunate enough to cross paths with sales agent, Rikki. She made the transition absolutely pain-free! She is always available to help with nuances of switching to a new carrier and having a new phone.
