This has become my favorite coffee shop. The most important part... Great coffee. There is a variety of drinks and the drip coffee is fresh and delicious. As a bonus there are really good sandwiches, pastries, etc. Staff are friendly, quick, and generally pleasant. As a second bonus, the art on the walls is quite good and apparently all for sale.

Great little coffee house in downtown Hopkins. Good fresh roasted coffee along with plenty of food and bakery items. I tried the monkamuffin (breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese and sausage) It was made fresh. Nothing special but was filling and hot. I love the local artwork featured on the walls However I dont think Id stay to work or study. Overall a bit cluttered and disorganized. Merchandise on tables etc...

Im assuming the Munkabean is fairly new and still learning to be a good coffee shop. Coffee was good but my breakfast was not. I think it would be better if they concentrated on there coffee selections and offered just a simple menu. Noisy as the floors are wood, carpet would help, and there tables and chairs are Formica and plastic, retro 1950s. I like a cozy coffee shop where I can relax with a hot cup of coffee in a quieter atmosphere. If they are just starting up they need to concentrate their efforts in making it a destination.

Best mochas, pumpkin spice, and quiche ever! Please keep the apple, Turkey, and rosemary quiche forever. 🥰

Fantastic service and atmosphere. I love the rotating local art work on the walls and have a few of them at home now. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Bonus: bacon, egg, and cheese croissant is scrumptious.

Really great coffee and it has a cute, cozy vibe to it. I love that they have local artwork on the wall for sale and I enjoy looking at it while I wait for my coffee. The only downside is you never know the service you’re gonna get. Some days everyone is friendly and you get your order in a timely manner other times the staff isn’t friendly at all and you’re waiting a while for your order, even if you order online. Other than that it’s usually a great little coffee shop.

Amazing food and the service is above and beyond. I use them for both my personal lunches and catering for my work lunch meetings. They never disappoint. And the chai tea is the best hands down in the west metro!

My husband came in this morning and being the only black man waiting for his drink, one of your baristas that looked like she was in her early 20s in a yellow shirt conveniently asked “have you seen my bag?” to her other colleague. The audacity of you people honestly. We drove out to Downtown Hopkins with the intention to support a local business and this is the welcome we got? I’m not one to complain but this incident crossed a line. Never coming back here again!

Really cute inside, it was a busy saturday morning so there was a bit of a wait but so worth it. i had a giant muffin and one of their many appealing signature coffee drinks and sat near the sunny window to enjoy with my book. perfect!

I come here a lot because I love supporting local businesses and their coffee is great! However yesterday 8/8/2021 I asked for a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso and the coffee they had in their container was cold. I informed one of the workers and he suggested I try the other one and it was also lukewarm. He said we’re closing so we can’t brew more coffee and I get it was close to closing time but there was so many people in there when I was are your just gonna give them all cold coffee? I was just disappointed I got lukewarm coffee unfortunately it’ll take some time for me to come back.

The atmosphere of this small Cafe is calming as you walk in the door. Next, you feel welcomed by the smiling staff. As you look at the menu, you will find out of the ordinary and absolutely extraordinary options of food and beverages to choose from, each one so delicious youll crave more. I know I do! My favorite is the apple turkey salad and peach pear apricot smoothie. ♥️

I ordered through the jump! coffee app. i got a blue moon and i had ordered a blueberry muffin (which they were out of) so i was given a lemon poppyseed muffin instead. the blue moon was INCREDIBLE! most definitely would recommend the blue moon! the muffin was pretty good too. the place has a nice atmosphere and it’s a cute little coffee shop.

Although I havent been here in as couple of years, Ive been a lifetime fan. They are awesome! If you havent already tried it, order literally anything you like. Im almost certain you wont be disappointed.

After my first visit, this is my go to coffee place. I appreciate the positive attitude and the atmosphere. I admit, it is a small sample size, but first impressions are always important. My first impression is top notch. Next time I shall try some food.

Done go to this cafe 30-1hr before closing. They’ll complain that you’ve come in right in front of you. They’ll mess up your order and not offer to make you the correct one. We ordered two lattes and they didn’t even put espresso in them.

My favorite coffee shop! Their Cinnabon latte is amazing. I work in Hopkins, live in Plymouth, and find myself craving these even on the weekends. Its my go-to (plus a muffin!). The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and they even have a pretty patio in the back. Highly recommend!

They have a great blueberry iced tea there.

Such a cute place! Fun specialty coffees (try the Blue Moon!) and the sandwiches are great... I had such a hard time deciding, they all looked so good!!They also feature local artwork for sale on the walls, local crafters wares, and, of course, raspberry- and Minnesota- themed gifts. I wish they had had some of the raspberry habanero jam on hand, but apparently they were sold out. Hopefully it will be back in stock the next time I stop by, which will definitely be SOON. 💜💜💜

Ive been visiting Munka Beans 2-3 times a month for 4 years. Friendly..Respectful..happy atmosphere.The servers are eager to help and make everyone feel welcome and the coffee is great.Big plus is they display Art of local/ high school artists on the walls.I recommend highly😊

Best Iced Chai Tea latte I’ve had!I went here to study since there aren’t a ton of options of coffee shops that are open for dine in at the moment. Love the small town feel and the window seat options! All around a great experience and easy to find parking which is always important to me 😁

Usually love this place but super slow today. Over 20 minutes to get one drink. Hope they speed it up. This place has been great in the past. Then they made the drink wrong. 27 minutes total to get one coffee

I really enjoy this coffee house! Everyone that works there is lovely and helpful. I ordered an apple cider with caramel and it was extraordinary. The interior is cozy and I enjoyed myself very much.I saw board games and puzzles but Im not sure if youre allowed to play them due to the pandemic right now. Its still awesome that the option is there for children or adults that want to drink coffee and play fun games.I go to this coffee house every time my car gets fixed down the road and Ive never had a bad moment here. 🥰

This place is easily spotted off of Main Street in downtown Hopkins. Near the stage theatre and $3 movie cinema. The food here range from pastries, wraps, sandwiches, coffees, teas and other goodies.

I dont know whats going on, but its 47 degrees outside and this place is still swarming with flies.

Cozy corner coffee shop for the politically subversive and artsy. They serve wrap sandwiches and good coffee drinks. Nice place to unwind over my lunch break in beautiful downtown Hopkins.

Loved this place! The service was a little slow, but very courteous. When I explained I had a medical exemption from wearing a mask, they were completely understanding and very gracious. A friend and I stayed for a significant amount of time talking and drinking coffee. The artwork is unique and warm. Overall very happy with my experience.

The iced mochas and iced dirty chais here are delicious. Just fyi, their default milk seems to be whole, so make sure to order a different one if you prefer.

Lovely independent coffee shop! Tons of creative drinks (I had the Honeyspice latte, which is honey + cardamom), baked goods, ice cream, and a breakfast & lunch menu. Its clean and cozy, staff is friendly, and has walls full of local art. Its just two doors down from the 2nd run movie theater and across the street from the performing arts center too.

An enjoyable place to get a cup of coffee and hot chocolate. I especially like the attentive customer service shown by the staff here. The biggest minus is that this place is crowded which means tables are limited and wait times for drinks are longer. But hey what do you expect from a popular community like Hopkins.

This place has a great vibe with pieces by local artists for sale on the walls and free wifi too! The honey spice latte was delicious and not overly sweet. I loved the Thai chicken wrap and it came with a pickle on the side, always a bonus!

I love this small coffee shop. Its got that 90s coffee shop vibe I really love. You can go in with a book, people are in there playing cards and board games. Homemade bakery treats and just good coffee. Nice artists displays on the walls. Huge fan.

What a charming little spot! The Funky chicken sandwich was wonderful and the coffee exquisite. Everyone was super nice and we even had space in a couch to read books with my kids.

As someone with an intolerance to gluten and a sensitivity to dairy and caffeine coffee shops tend to be stressful for me; however, munkabeans is not your average coffee shop. They were able to make me delicious gluten-free/dairy-free food. I also was able to have a hot beverage, dairy and caffeine free. The staff was so wonderful to help customize something for me from their menu and everything was so yummy! I will definitely be back.

Cute hole in the wall with really sweet people! Atmosphere is pleasing and the drinks are great! I would go every day if I had the money. Nothing in town even remotely compares to their chai latte.You can thank me later.Dont get any sandwiches... they are small and basic for how stupidly expensive they are.

I didnt have their coffee, but their sandwiches were laughable. We spent 16 dollars on two sandwiches, that should have been around 5 bucks total according to the quality. We had a monster size special K bar that was well worth it though.

I had the best drink of my entire life here today. It was a Honey something latte. It had honey and cardamom in it. I didnt realize they had actual food here, so I will be back to eat :) The baristas were super friendly too!!

I was there quite early, so I dont know if / when it gets crowded. The service was very pleasant, and the counter staff very personable. The ambience was peaceful, and there is interesting art on the walls, as well as seating facing the window to the street.The quiche I had for breakfast was perfectly adequate, and certainly a sufficient serving size, delivered with a smile.

Our experience was great! As a regular of places like Dogwood and Rustica, our Munka lattes both tasted near perfection. Comfy atmosphere with games and they sell other stuff like food and ice cream. Definitely a hidden gem and closer to our apartment than any other quality coffee shop!

I can sit in a comfortable chair and enjoy coffee or energy drinks. It is a responsible environment kind of place. Good temps in both Winter & Summer. The locale, downtown Hopkins is a walkable distance from home or as a stop off when I come from work on my way home. They used to have live music but I think some copyright enthusiasts stopped that. The help is friendly and the coffee, drink, food and treats are good and reasonably priced. I like it and the crowd is diverse. I will return.

This place is my new favorite coffee shop. The staff is very friendly and they do great under pressure. On my second visit, I happened to walk in shortly after childrens birthday party. It was a very overwhelming situation for the amount of space available, but the staff kept their composure and got everyone through the line quickly and smoothly with only 2 people staffed at the time. Also the bagels are awesome! However they toast them, makes them super tasty... Soft with just the right amount of crunch!

Very chill little coffee house and cafe. I came in this morning for a coffee and to use the wifi for emails and notes. The coffee was good and priced on par with similar shops. There are many options and a nicely laid out menu. They do breakfast and lunch plus pastries. I did not eat this time around but will come back in the future to try.Music was great and not too loud. Service was friendly and had casual conversation helping to make this place feel alive and calming. Plenty of seating inside and out plus outlets for laptops and chargers. The WiFi is a bit slow but good for emails and basic use.Ill return and update this spur of the moment review later.

Super cute shop on a super cute street! Love the option to sit outside in the front or the back! Cozy couches and a fun little chalkboard and book area for the kiddos are perfect so mom can relax for a few! Had a delicious lunch and spent a couple hours catching up with an old friend. Felt totally at home here! Friendly staff and fast service too! Great experience overall!

The real coffee shop on mainstreet in Hopkins. Somehow a little community coffee shop surrounded by the mega suburbs of Mpls-St. Paul, surviving for many years. Real coffee, prices about average, good service. An interesting table in the back corner reserved for elder consultation with youth.

We loved the retro vibe that Munkabeans had. There was a wide selection of cold and warm sandwiches. The chocolate chai was delicious and the hot chocolate assortment is fun for the non-coffee drinkers.

Love it! My husband and I go here everyday he has off and I know he gets a coffee almost every morning on his way to work. Its small and very homey with artwork on the walls and super friendly staff. The coffee is the best Ive ever had, I always get the Turtle Mocha.

One of my favorite spots! Great coffee, ice cream, sandwiches and pastries. EVERYTHING is homemade, bananna bread and scones are my favorites! The chicken salad sandwich is really yummy! I come here any chance I get.

I used to come here every day, but lately the service has been incredibly slow (out takes almost 30 minutes to get a beverage and breakfast sandwich or quiche). The last several beverages Ive ordered have been made wrong, and were luke- warm. I still like to get the scones, though- they are delicious.

This is going to be my new favorite coffee shop. Excellent ambiance, great decor, and fantastic drinks.
