I could spend hours here roaming down each isle. They have so much cool stuff. The meat and seafood department has everything you could need. The noodle selection is never ending. HUGE selection of dumplings π₯. Anytime I cook using Asian ingredients this is my go to store. Plus there are several restaurants to grab a bite to eat.
Too big! There was one aisle that was literally a good 60-80 long with nothing but different varieties of Soy Sauce.I suppose a shopper could spend several hours in the store and never find whatever they came in to buy.It was clean, well organized, no odors and not too crowded.I left after an hour because I forgot what I stopped in to buy. Too big but they had everything!
This had to be one if the Biggest Asian Food Store that I visited. Overall, Impressions clean, ready for business and friendly. The first time I have seen over 50 brands of soy sauce in one area. Generally impressed of how much variety they had in the store.I would recommend this store to anyone and I will return for future business.Great Job Management Team.
If you love Asian food this is the place to go stock up. There are several search stores in Houston but we really love this one the best.
Very nice store. Nice parking lot and the little shops inside the store were a plus. Employees are helpful.
The restaurant food was not fresh, ex: steam pork bunsπ , food look like or seems to be sitting all day. I shop & eaten at other 99 Ranch Market. But this one need more quality control ππ₯Ί
Iβm giving this place none stars. The person who works at the dessert station closes to early, even if I asked to pay at the other cashier. Iβm willing to do. Wanted to buy a cake and she wasnβt letting me, saying sheβs closed. Need to open it for other customers to buy late evening too, you have the whole lines of cashier. So why not let anyone pay their.. really poor customer services.
99 Ranch Market is a great grocery store. Theres a great food court, awesome little meat market and bakery. The fruit and veggies are always fresh, well priced, said delicious. I love love the garlic bread but it sells out frequently so sometimes hard to get. I stop by here every chance I get to look though, haha. Great store and they have a rewards program too.
I love this shop! Always finding new ingredients to heighten my meals. Most recently I scored some bean curd sheets for some amazing bean curd pork roll I made at home.
As always Im amazed at all the amazing and delicious asian foods I can find here. Its so hard to find good steamed dumplings and thinly sliced beef and pork for my korean bbq night. This place has all the fresh veggies, meat, dessert, and so much more. If you have a grill for doing korean bbq I recommend coming here and checking out all the wonderful things they have.
Smaller suite than the massive one on Bellaire. Fully stocked this time, a pleasant surprise.Imflation has taken its toll however. Prices are slightly up and the partions have been reduced. Still the best asian bakery chain here in my opinion. Only Breadtalk beats it. But Houston is a second tier city so this will remain on top for a long time. Please get the pineapple pattern bun with the custard filling. You will not regret it.
Variety of merchandise is very good. Lots of fresh vegetables, meats and seafood. Plenty of Asian grocery items. Prices are competitive with other stores.
This is the fresh seafood spot on the west side hands down. Im from Florida my family owns a fish market. I dont know anything else that offers selection like this in Houston.
The grocery party of the store is past the small shops inside, but if you want a basket grab it on the way into the building. Good variety of East Asian foods. Great place to find a variety of ramens, teas, and rice.
Awesome grocery store, very clean and organized. Several unique finds that I hadnt been able to find before.
Has what I need but it feels like its a little empty every time I go which is almost every other week. Inventory is not always consistent, but Im satisfied going there each time for what is needed for Asian cooking.
My first time there. They had an awesome food court. Also the seafood section was amazing.
Good a verity of exclusive vegetables including several kind of spinach. Good selection of imported fruits and cakes and other stuff . Prices are very competitive as well . Their seafood place is not very clean area .
Used to the ones in California and here they carry the same products which made me happy. However, the prices are a bit high considering Texas wages. I paid the same price for the same item I usually get in California. This place has what I need and would definitely come back again.
Wow, they have a large selection and their fruits, vegetables and meats are very fresh. Will definitely be back!
Used to go there when I lived in the area 1.5 years ago. However, the quality seems to go down now. I bought a bag of 2lbs rambutan and just only one was edible.
Super clean and wonderful Asian Market. My happy place. Amazing vegetables and variety.
What happened? I have been shopping there for many years. The store overall is not clean. The restroom is filthy, and its right next to the food court. How disgusting! The manager should take more pride and keeping this store clean. Its cheaper to keep the store clean than it is to lose your customers. Does the health department not do inspection?
It was spacious and clean. There are little shops near the entrance for clothes, glasses, skin care. Theres also a food court with crayfish (seafood), Korean food, and Roast duck, dumplings, etc. Theres a milk tea place too. Thats not even the store itself. Good produce section! Theres also a bakery with some delicious cakes! We had a great experience.
All more expensive than other stores, be careful buying from meat case I bought pork ribs to bbq and got them he boy did they smell funky, wide variety of Asian items
My 1st time there and was initially impressed but it dwindled when the man at the seafood counter was rude and made me and 2 other shoppers just give up on buying anything from there. It was a great place otherwise. They have a vast array of items to choose from. Will go to Super H-Mart next time. I hear they are smaller and less overwhelming with choices.
Great selection of Asian groceries. The food court is great as well.
I am giving this a one star review because I had the worst experience at a grocery store this evening, 10/19/2021. I am a first generation American and came to the store searching for a handful of specific ingredients as well as persimmons. After searching aimlessly for five or more minutes I started asking various employees for assistance, but I was met with awkward stares and was abruptly told βNoβ by two different employees when I asked for help. After leaving the store completely defeated, I arrived home and tried one of the persimmonsβ¦ To my utter disappointment even those were bitter.
The produce is fresh and you always get what you need. Meat market prices are exceptional. Its a fun place to visit. The fish market doesnt smell. The food court is amazing and be sure to grab a pastry from the french bakery π§
If you havent been here you should. Its everything concerning again groceries you could ask for. one of the most extensive fish markets in the city and a giant produce area. For the regular American shoppers you could get 1/2 your usual shopping done here. We stopped in wanting to pick up items to make tempura and wound up filling the cart. The prices are good, so is the quality and the selection is enormous.
I bought 2, 3 diferent types fresh fish from there a couple of times. Each time some of the fish were like expired than calling fresh fish because as I started washing them to cook, the meat became powdery, some of them smelled so bad that wouldnt rhink to cook them.Their fish tank area towards the wall has really really strong dead fish stinky smell. Also I bought different bread from their fresh bakery, some bread had strong egg smell.
Good place to get Asian food and spices. Hit or miss with the freshness of vegetables and fruits.
The workers there are very un helpful. The Butcher is a Vietnamese guy that does not like people who are not Asian. Its like we back to Vietnam War. They dont want us at they store. Never again.
Very nice and respectful people very cultural and very organized I give them four stars.
Produces were not fresh and the store was incapable of fully stock the produce shelving.Produces pricing is still sky high when comparing to grocery stores in Houston China Town.
If youre looking for fresh herbs or just about any kind of vegetables you will find it here. A little on the expensive side.
I bought a red snapper and they fried for free The fish was pretty good. However they reuse the cooking oil several times probably several weeks and became nasty
Well organized and very clean. Fruits, vegetables and others are very fresh.
99 Ranch Market was a very fun first-time experience. Id like to go again sometime. There are several restaurants, smaller shops, and a bakery right inside the store with plenty of seating available to enjoy a meal. Its kinda like a mini-mall although parts of the store remind me of Kroger or other local grocery stores. The customer service was friendly, the food was very tasty, and there are a lot of Asian-themed, as well as several American-themed, things for sale there.
They have a good size foodcourt plenty of food to choose from,so perfect for grabbing some groceries and a bite to eat.
Great! So many ingredients you dont find anywhere else
Vast selections of food items, from fresh produce, grocery items, fresh seafood, fish tank .if you love to cook you would love going there, was so happy to find powdered Ive cant wait to make yummy treats .Reasonable prices, clean well arranged aisles.By the left of the entrance is a little coffee section where you can grab baked goods too.
Everything is fresh, because if they dont sell, they mark down the price for a quick special sale.I can always find some interesting bargains here.
I love this store. They have so many different types of fruits, spices and ramen
An incredible market with items difficult to find anywhere else under one roof.
This place is incredible and usually overlooked by the larger population of Houston. The prices are cheaper than most other normal grocery store chains. They offer a variety of meat cuts as well as a very large seafood department. You also find many other fruits and vegetables available here that are not available at the other large chains. Is my go-to location for picking up skinless pork belly for BBQ.
Itβs a really good Asian grocery store.Clean, well organized and good customer service. I go there almost every week.
Food court is very good. I stay in hotel nearby and go for food court everyday.
This place has become a staple for mine in several cities. This location was the first Ive ever visited. The selection of Asian products is wide and high quality. Parking is ample. The bathrooms are frequently cleaned...not skillfully, but still frequently. The staff, for the most part, are helpful. As expected, the language barrier is fairly large with some. But that does not mean that they are less willing to help.
A lot of variety and great food. Dim sum too!
Great selection for Asian ingredients, meats and produce. Excellent fresh fish area. Theyll even clean, filet & fry the fish if you request. A few great store & restaurants inside too. Wide selections. Well priced items. Produce is usually in excellent shape. I enjoy the shopping experience at this store.UPDATE on 2/19/2021: I still stand by the 5 star review. I go here about once per month. Fresh produce, meat and fish selection. This time I chose to have the fresh fish descaled, cleaned & fried on the spot - totally worth the wait!UPDATE on 3/14/2021: still standing by my 5 star review. Had some more deliciously fried fish. Also tried the Kung Fu Tea which was yummy too.
A bit overwhelming, but this place has a lot of interesting products. Too much to see so Ill definitely come back .
Good place to buy fish and sea food.
The wait for seafood can take anywhere 10 to 30 minutes depending in crowd. I like the fried fish- 1. Pick any fish 2. Take a number 3. When your number is up,, on display hand over the seafood and inform the person helping you which option you want. Theres options 1-6( more or less, cant recall exactly) something like this and not in order 1. Cut head only 2. Cut head and clean in sides, bones in tact 3. Fillet 4. Fried 5. Crispy fried 6. Cleaning style for some fishes, not all applicable. Also they will ask if you want some salt in it.They will take what you chose and weigh it before starting cleaning and cooking it.Big selection of Produce but not always the freshest. Somewhat reasonably priced over all.Has almost everything you need for Asian style cooking needs.
Visited with Mike Austin! Best Asian market ever. Its huge. The seafood department has a rich variety and the soy sauce isle... You must see it for yourself
Asian food market. Itβs the cheapest grocery market, and all their groceries are fresh and good. I really like their seafood service, you can choose your seafood and ask them to fry it. Also the have bakery section, and they have very good bakeries. Or have to go and try it
The Hmart down the street is much better and cleaner !
Customer service was lacking. Im not familiar with the language so I needed assistance but was provided any. Was just told to go look on the he isle after I had already done that and couldnt find what I came in for. Variety was up to par
The food in the court is cheap & delicious!
Love this place...especially the bakery. This is an Asian market with lots of varieties and Fresh Foods. It also has a nice selection of Boutique shops inside with jewelry clothing and even a Fitness Store.
This is one of my favorite places in the world I wish there was one closer to me. It is like visiting another country they have so many good Chinese and Asian foods and for really really cheap. So many good different types of Chinese candies and really cheap Chinese food ingredients. I love this place especially since Ive been cooking a lot of Chinese food
They have neat tea and moon cakes
You can find a lot of fresh foods.
Its good service is not the best but i still go by time to time.
I love the exotic fruits and vegetables.Fresh fish and the butchers shop makes it worth the drive.
Lovely as always. Found some Rambutan an exotic fruit which is delicious. An actual baby bok choy. Among other things.
Very interesting place.Mostly vietnamese...Good selection
The place was very clean, organized, and well kept. Great place to get groceries and special items not found in many grocery stores. Love the shops and restaurants inside.
Fresh fish and they fry for free right there! I wanted them to keep the head on my fish but they cut it, thus the 4 star. Otherwise they are cool π
The place is more cleaner compared to other Asian supermarket Ive been to in Houston area. Lots of Seafood varieties both frozen and fresh ones.
Always a great variety and wonderful seafood!
Just go with an open mind and empty stomach. Food court inside along with a bakery that cranks out stuff all day long. You will walk out with lots of stuff from fresh meat and seafood to a dizzying variety of produce, snacks, cosmetics, cookware, etc.
Bought what I thought were snacks with cute cats on them. Instead it was cute snacks meant for cats, but I couldnt read the Asian words. Overall 10/10 experience would go again.
One of my favorite Asian groceries destination. I sometimes go here to get some Indonesian pre-made spices and some other varieties Asian products. The only downside is the place doesnβt have that many selections of sushi meals available other than the Japanese kiosk selling sushi in the front area of the groceries. When I lived in Dallas, Ranch 99 has pretty good sushi meals selections available inside the groceries. Also this Ranch 99 is not as clean as the one in Dallas. But hey, itβs Houston after all π.
Always pretty clean and has THE BEST FISH! They have a bakery after the cashier area and their baked goods are very delicious. Itβs pretty far away for me, but I think this is definitely a store worth visiting! Happy Shopping!
Love this place either for shopping or eating
Probably random, but something I specifically get here is rosemary because you get a ton of it for a lower cost than you would in any other grocery store. I also come here for Japanese snacks + drinks, as well as traditional ingredients needed for attempts at amazing cultural foods within the existing communities this grocer helps service. They were a saving grace when people went and bought up all the toilet paper the second time around. They have amazing breads in the bakery that you cant find anywhere else. I have never tried the eateries or shopped at the little shops within the grocery store because Ive never had the time, but I imagine theyd be pretty cool.
Original and fresh food, a new experience! Thank you for your hospitality!
If you get their free membership card, youll sometimes get discounts at check out when they scan it. Lots of cool seafood and fresh produce options. And most importantly, mochi!
Asian food mecca! Largest asian supermarket chain, surprised to see lots of specialty foods, fresh meat nd seafood. Produce is good. In store bakery nd awesome crawfish at La crawfish.
So much variety here. We really enjoyed our visit.
Love this place so much!!! The vibe is friendly and comfortable. The lighting is good. They have what I want. Its everything I need it to be!!! GO 99 RANCH, YOU ROCK!!!!! β₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ
I love this place! I ate at l.a. crawfish got the crablegs spicy...it was decadent. Shopped at the asian bakery and just walked around looking at all the items.. really nice place to kill time during your hour lunch break
Get all Asian foods and fresh live fish
Lots of variety, clean...yes clean. Good food places inside also.
Didnt have what I needed.had to go down the street
Most of employees and even supervisors dont speak proper English. Makes you wonder if they even know that they are living in the US.
