Affordable fresh fish, umm especially the tilapia and cat fish get me going back again..

A typical Asian supermarket, though not on the same level as Viet Hoa or Hong Kong but you can get all the traditional Asian products here. A bit unorganized and far out on the western edge of Chinatown. To the right as you walk in, a display counter with crispy roasted pig, roasted ducks, cha xiu that you can buy by the pounds or a lunch combo.

I only shop here for the fresh seafood . They have a large Variety of fresh fish and seafood . Be sure to have them cut your fish into fillets or you will have a bag of cut up fish with the heads& eyeballs still in tack ..

This Vietnamese supermarket is okay. It is an older market and they have pretty normal prices. Some supermarkets that arent big companies tend to be slightly overpriced. The meat section has pretty good pricing. I do worry about how fresh it is just because theres not a lot of foot traffic but Im sure they meet Health codes...The supermarket is located in a smaller spectrum but is pretty easy to find parking. The one thing I dislike about this place is that they have people inside right before you enter or exit the supermarket that stops you and tries to tell you about God. They were speaking Vietnamese to me which I do not understand very well. I told her I didnt understand but she said, its okay, I understands English. But... that doesnt help because the point is I cant understand her! The one preaching! After 5 mins, I was able to make my getaway by saying thank you and that Ill read the English literature she gave me. I just wanted to get my food and go home to cook...

This place barely has anything ! I only honestly come in got the fried fish and rice and sauce thats it..

The store is a bit dated. Dont trust freshness of produce.

Fresh vegetable, Sea food and Meats. They will cut or slice your meat the way you wants. Not getting a 5 stars because of their lack of customer service. The price is reasonable.

Good market, esp fried fish and BBQ, just need to repaint the outside. Look like an old store.

This place is terrible, worst customer service and they RIP you off when youre buying meat or fish. They fix the scale, I bought some fish and was suspicious of the price, when I got home I re-weighed the fish I bought and it weighed about a pound less than what they weighed in their store. Str8 crooks....

This place is... Interesting. Restrooms are nasty, so try NOT to stop by there. The overall experience is OK. You can find some of the oriental items you might need. The store in general does not look clean. Prices are OK.

Best place for groceries end sea food

Wrong price!!!The price of the item ( the same name on the item and the shelve price tag ) is $7.49,check out cost $8.99.I told its was wrong price, the cashier told me go and check the price for myself, the price tag is so clearly on the shelve under of those items.I wanted to cancel my purchase .The cashier gave me a dirty look and throw down the item. And said something...she shouldnt say to the customer. (I am 62 years old and I dont need that means service).

We come here for excellent inexpensive asian produce like bok choy and baby bok choy, bean sprouts, etc. Lots of noodle choices, tofu and they also have kitchenware such as rice steamers. All sushi supples! They have roasted ducks available in a deli section up front. The store smells like seafood be ready for that. There are live fish tanks in back! But all around we like it.

Best place to buy fresh fish in the city . Make sure to have them cut it for you preferably in Fillets if not you’ll get a bag of cut up fish with the heads& eyeballs looking back at you 😖. The staff overall could use some better customer service but overall I’m only there for the seafood and I’m outta there .

A lot of traditional/older asian stores will be like this one. this is one of the many stores that is authentic and has been here since forever in bellaire.when i say old, i mean old. a lot of the older asian stores are like this as the store is a little gross, you might have to avoid looking at the ground. the restroom is definitely a no-go as well. that’s one of the rules when it comes to older asian stores in general. not saying you have to deal with that, but that’s just sort of how it is.however, the produce, fish/seafood, and meats are always fresh and are at a good price. there are a variety of fresh and packaged foods, instant noodles, snacks, drinks, etc. basically all sorts of foods that you can imagine. they also sell the asian plastic chairs and tables as well as silverware and more.you can always find parking and there is always at least one security guard in front.

Better price on Salmon then Hong Kong market

I would have otherwise given this store 5 star but my last encounter with them brought them down to a zero star if I can give them a zero. I bought fried fish and asked for 2 extra bags to tie it so it doesn’t smell so much in my car but the cashier said they can only give one extra bag. I left and went to one of the ladies behind the showcase glass. The girl went off on me and yelling when I asked for an extra bag and was extremely rude to me. I just left with dignity without exchanging words. You all should understand that the customer is always right and even if you can give an extra bag you could have done so respectfully and not treat some patronizing your store as a beggar.

I went here and discovered a dead rat under the shelves. I also found many roaches crawling about behind the food on the shelves.

Not a clean store. They have a lot to do to improve the condition of the store, bit you can find fresh fruits and fish which you probably can not find them that fresh in other stores close by.

We just brought manggo.. and it was expensive but rotten.. it was good out side but disgusting inside..we throw the whole pack we brought.. and some of there product is expired.. still they selling it.. I never recommended this store.

Their seafood and meat market is well stocked and big! I found items to trry out in the isle by just wandering around. Very clean and friendly staff.

I bought some prawns and squid here and immediately refrigerated it, two weeks later we cooked it in boiling water and found a large fly in it, the store said it was more than 24 hours after and took no responsibility.I will never come back here and will be reporting them to the better business bureau, this is a pretty dirty place and I usually overlooked the smell because of seafood avilability, I now know better, see the pics of the food in the trashcan

I finally found the cuttlefish jerky that I have been looking for. I also found other assorted seafood jerky. I tried the grouper too and it tasted great! The cuttlefish jerky was amazing. I have had any since I was a kid. It took me back to summer camp at YMCA, when an Asian kid shared some with me. The prices on the jerky was very affordable to my surprise.I walked around a bit and saw that there was a nice selection of teas as well. A gentleman helped me pick out a few that were reasonably priced. I noticed that you guys also have a great fresh seafood section and that yall also sell freshly roasted duck. I will be back for the duck.My overall experience was great thanks to helpful staff.

My Hoa Asian Supermarket is the best one in town! Authenticity of there wide variety of produce, fruits, cooks and bakers! Seafood and Meat department is the nicest and cleanest in town!

Has Decent amount of groceries for daily cooking. Could be cleaner and more Covid awareness.

My wife and I shop here occasionally. It is an ethnic grocery store and have good fresh fish and can fry it for you on demand.

They have some fresh fish, though most others frozen and some with red ink!!. Staff are very polite. Wont put my money of anything cooked there, hygiene standards are suspect.

Ground pork 1.19 a lb awesome for homemade sausage

My go to place for food stuff. Their fresh fish section is top of the line. One of the best in the City of Houston, they even fry the fish if you can stick around for about 30 minutes. Frying is free to the customer. The stuff they sell are mainly Asian foodstuff but the fish and the vegetables are universal. The part I do not like is that if you pay with a credit card, you have to show your license at checkout so they can verify that it is the same person.

Love the seafood display it has a massive selection. The the fruits and fresh veggies. This Asian grocery store was the best. The services was good. It was friendly store as well. Great deals.

Best place in Houston City for all your Seafoods. Price very affordable at wholesale or retail preference. But atmospheric improvement needs to be increased further, and monitored constantly to shop in a healthy decent shopping visit.

I shop at this store from time to time for fruits, vegetables and crawfish. I enjoy the freshness of the things I buy from here. On this particular visit I was looking for different types of cornstarch especially the kudzu root starch but they didnt have any so I ended up getting the tapioca crumb starch and I was fine with that for the moment.

Dirty and sketchy but has a serious collection of Asian ingredients and spices.

I do like this Asian grocery store. I used to live right behind it for a year or so.Being that it is Vietnamese, they have several things that the other Asian supermarkets on Bellaire do not have.Vietnamese people and people from New Orleans share many of the same tastes, due to our shared history of French colonialism.For example, they have more varieties of coffee and chicory at this store, with rock bottom prices, than you will find anywhere outside of southern Louisiana. They also have amazing french bread, that I know is baked fresh daily, but Im not sure that they bake it there.You can go to the fish market in the back, select the fish you want, and they will clean it and fry it for you, right then and there, for minimal added cost.They always have a huge variety of top notch produce, and their prices on most things are quite reasonable.I do find it hard to communicate with many of the people who work there. But they are always very kind, even though Im usually the only white/Jewish guy in the store, (my girlfriend is Filipino).It is definitely worth checking out, for anyone who is not a close minded yokel.
