**AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS**The only lone star grocery in the lone star state. The Fishmonger has the temperament of a king, and not of a shopkeeper. And dis-honesty is their game. The most horrid place to be if you wanna shop fish.**RESPONDING TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE** -- I did not shop yesterday, I shopped at Bangla Bazar earlier, but I posted this review yesterday. And the experience was horrid to say the least.

Over price, not having any honesty. Has a tendency to cheat customers. They must have an idea how other similar shops are doing and selling at what price.

For all bangles . This the best place for fish.

Very dishonest rude shopkeepers. There is a tendency to rob customer.1. A lady once took more price than was actually my bill, while i noticed and corrected her she said she mis calculated, however she was using a calculator.2. They try and push to sell big fishes (8/12 pounds) even if they have small fishes ( 4/5 pounds as per your requirement ) .3. They charge for shedding the scale of fish ( a service that is free in other fish stores of Houston) and does not scale properly.4. Last sunday i was charged 5$ for shedding scale of a 4 pound fish, and i found later only 2-3 pieces were done, rest i had to do on my own. The shop keeper was extremely rude, sulking, arrogant.Last weekend ( sunday)i bought a 4 pound vetki fish from this store, i asked the shopkeeper to shed the scale while cutting the fish, there were another helper guy who started talking and diverting me when the fish was being cut n scaled.After cutting the shopkeeper said he wont shed scale, i went around 2:30 pm, there were no one in the shop, i insisted for scaling as I initially mentioned it before fish cutting. He started behaving unthinkably rude and sulked the whole time lecturing me not only i should say once, i should keep repeating my self unless i make sure he got it!! Is not it a responsibility of shopkeeper to pay hid to customers?He reluctantly shed the scale as i said i wud pay, generally its on good will or free service, i offered 3$ (10% of total bill $30) to which he said he worked worth 8$, i should give him 5$, i agreed.Returning home I found, only 2-3 piece fish were scaled properly, all other pieces i had to do on my own. Basically they charged me 5$ n such arrogant rude behavior for nothing . Absolutely dishonest guy. I have encountered several such incidents but this one is an eye opener. Never gonna go there again.

Lots and Lots of Bengali cuisine raw materials. Fish galore and also heaven for veggies you normally get in West Bengal, India or Bangladesh.

Great place for real Bangladeshi produce and fish. Bit small to move around.

Very friendly staff. Being a South Indian vegetarian, I visit this place to buy veg samosas, kalakand, rosagulla and the gulab jamoon. The Bengali sweets are amazing.

A large collection of fish and polite & friendly employee . I love this place . I drive the hours from Beaumont to Houston to just shop here . Highly recommend .

Like to go there for good Desi fish. They also sell good quality meat and price seemed reasonable. The owner is very courteous. One thing to keep in mind though..theres no reason for anyone to go there other than fish or meat.

1) Be very careful if you buy their block fish.2) Just like many other Bangladeshi/Asian/Middle eastern stores, they dont make an itemized bill. So be very cautious when they sum the bill. I have found $5:00--$7:00 more in my bill for last two occasions.

A very good place for Bengalis to get good quality fish. Various fishes are available. They arrange to cut large fishes to pieces as required. Quality of fish is really very good.

Its a very good place to find Bangladeshi grocery. But the matter that made me hopeless is that I bought an item by $3.99 and another by $1.99 but next week when I went there to buy the same, I found one with price tag $4.99 and the other was $2.99. I have never seen such a price increase within one week in USA.

My go to place for fish and mutton. Get all types of fish that we Indian and Bangladeshis prefer

We get good bengali fishes here. Staffs are good however we are missing ALI who used to help us to chose best fishes.
