I visited Kwik-Kar Oil Change and Auto Repair at Lakeside for the first time today for state vehicle inspection. Service was quick, accurate, efficient, thorough, and economical. Seth, the store manager/proprietor was courteous, respectful, professional, and very friendly. He made me feel very welcome at his facility. This location performs a nearly exhaustive range of auto service, which I did not know about at the time. I will be coming to Kwik Kar-Lakeside for future auto servicing, oil change, state inspection, and repair, if needed. It was a pleasure to have visited this store and have met Seth and his mechanics. Juan took care of 2011 Chrysler 300C. I brought my own oil and filter. They had it ready in 45 minutes. They let me know it needed a new engine air filter so I went ahead and got that too. Great service and fast too. I will go back to get the transmission and rear differential oil replaced. 😀Like

I have been coming to this shop for about 5 years now and they have the best customer service you could ask for. They always remember your face and try to remember your name too. Victor Lopez is a great guy and will work with you as much as he can to get your car back in shape. I recently just visited the shop and met the new owner, Jeff, and he was delightful. He honored the discount that I usually get for my oil change even though I forgot my coupon. That was very honorable of him. I will continue coming here to this shop as long as I receive outstanding service like this.

Super fast and friendly service. They dont try to rip you off by offering services not needed at the time I go in. All the techs are clean. The location area and the building itself is clean and organized, building is in good shape, unlike the other lube places Ive been to that are dirty and have trash overflowing. Great place, I’ve been here once before and decided to start coming back to take care of my car. They are so nice, and considerate. Yesterday I was on my way to work with my husband, I had a long work day ahead of me.I was dropping my kids off to their grandmothers home, and as I was unloading the kids I noticed my tire leaking air. There was a huge bolt sticking out of my rear passenger side tire.So I googled the nearest Kwik Kar near me andI called this Kwik Kar in Wilcrest and the front desk person answered. I forgot his name but He was very kind and helpful and said it would be about an hour.So my husband and I pulled up and parked and went in to see his friendly face smiling and greeting me.Husband checked in and explained I had my lunch packed and it was like 100 outside and I didnt want it to spoil so the manager agreed to let me keep my food in their refrigerator. I know that seems weird but I was SO grateful.So after about a little under an hour my car was all done.I really liked the helpful staff here, they calmed us down.They replaced my tire and they did it quickly.Thankyou so so much!I recommend this place to anyone!

I got a flat tire while out showing homes to clients. The next day I walked into Kwik Kar to get a new tire. Jeff, the manager, took care of me. He was professional and honest. He went over my tire options and didn’t try to sell me the most expensive tire. The tire was installed, the rest of the tires were balanced and rotates. I wasn’t even done reading a magazine when they were done.I highly recommend this establishment. They provide excellent customer service.

Went to this location to get an oil changed, but when we pulled up two men were standing outside engaging in conversation. We were not greeted by neither man so we went inside to wait for assistance, which never came. After patiently waiting 10 minutes we left without ever been spoken to, we ended up going to the location on Richmond to get the service done.

These guys are friendly and reliable. You can trust that they are going to make the necessary repairs and not try to get you to buy what you don’t need. I would recommend!

I went to get a diagnostic and Osvaldo? (not sure if I’m spelling his name correctly) approached me and was helpful/friendly and attentive. Jeff gave me a quote and wasn’t too pushy on selling me anything, made me feel very comfortable and prices were unbeatable, especially compared to dealership prices. I would most definitely come back again!

After my first visit I stopped going to any other mechanics. This place has me leaving with confidence that they did a great job. I have a used car with over 100,000 so any problem I have they know within minutes as to what it is and a quote. The manager Jeff I can not talk highly enough about hes helped me every time and knows what hes doing. Its always an outstanding job. They are timely, helpful, and explain in detail the mechanic repair needed. If I could give more stars I would.

Nice honest staff. They didnt try and press any repairs on me. They pointed out there concerns. Suggested which repairs were urgent, but said to take care of them as soon as we could afford it. They then gave me some advice to help keep it going until I was able to afford the repairs. Extremely friendly people, I will be returning there for sure.

Came in with a braking system issue. The staff quickly diagnosed and came up with the parts to repair. They were very accommodating and even asked me to come out to the shop to see the issue. Highly Recommend

I took a car I was interested in purchasing to have them check the engine, transmission, and A/C. The group of mechanics all gathered around and worked together to check the systems, and very quickly identified several leaks and parts that would need replacing. However, instead of leaving me to believe their word, they invited me under the car to see for myself, pointed out the issues as they saw them, and spent 20 minutes explaining in detail the steps and amounts I would need to pay to make the car worth purchasing. This helped avoid a bad purchase, and they were very friendly and seemed genuinely glad to help without even charging for the time. All around a great group of workers; I would go to them again if I lived closer to them!

Went in last week to have my tires replaced and had a great experience. I was helped by Jeff. He was very knowledgeable when it came to my car. He was honest with me about the repairs I needed and made sure I was taken care of. I will be returning any time I need help with my car.

Brought my dads car in for an oil change. The staff were super friendly and gave me a full breakdown of current state of the car and were very frank about what I should get checked or replaced. I was probably out within ten minutes. The sitting area was nice too with complementary refreshments. Overall a great experience and coming back if I get the opportunity.

I came here immediately from NTB after they advised they could not do a state inspection on our 2018 Yaris with 33K miles because they couldn’t start the car. They advised the battery charge was low and had to jump the car.I arrived here and they started the car no problem and completed the inspection without issue. I will continue to bring our vehicles here and appreciate their professionalism, quickness, and efficiency.

I wish I had collected names, but I was rushed at the time. After disappointing experiences years ago, I decided to try again after seeing the NEW MANAGEMENT sign...The manager (I think his name was Jeff) greeted me. They were attentive and offered alternative services. I CHOSE a more costly synthetic option. At the same time, all costs are clearly posted. They did a professional job, listened carefully to all my concerns and acted accordingly, all with a cheerful attitude.

The guys were able to turn my car around really fast on a busy Saturday afternoon. Glad I came accross this place, highly recommend.

I have been coming to this place for many years until the staff changed. Jeff was a friendly and respectful gentleman who tells the truth. Things have changed since he moved to another shop. I took my car for a diagnosis and repair but ended with a bill of almost $800.00 with my car in worse condition than it went in. Osvaldo the guy in the front is unfriendly, dubious, and does not explain the charges or give an estimate before installing parts on the car. I felt ripped off after spending 4 days working on my car without any change. While I was at the shop, I had another customer complain that he put synthetic oil in the car without asking the customer. Osvaldo answered him that he knows better than the customer. Such arrogance is not acceptable in a place that was friendly for customers before.

This place is always quick and professional. Ive been going here for around 10 years for oil change and never had any issues. Management has changed a few times, but the team working there has always provided great service and been very helpful.

If I could give them a lower rating I would. After reading the reviews I decided to go and get my oil changed. I have never had to pay over $60 for a change and they gave me a bill of $80. Took them most of the day as well. I decided to just take it as it was and give them another chance. I noticed they had tires and decided to ask if they could swap out the tires I had on the car and they quoted me $50 to just rotate my tires!!! I went to Discount and bought new tires and a full rotation for $50. The men in my office go there and get great deals but I go and I come out over quoted. Just because Im a woman doesnt mean that I will believe your prices are fair. I guess if you are a man they play by the rules but women beware!! They will take you for every penny.

No girl looks forward to seeking car services, I usually call my dad in the process to make sure I am not getting ripped off. By some miracle this has changed with this place! The guys were friendly and walked me through what was wrong with car. On top of it all it was really affordable, will come back.

Great service, the guy at the desk was extraordinarily friendly as well. I wish I would of known to print off coupons online first, but thats that. I wouldnt suggest them for heavy mechanic work, but it is definitely a great place for a quick and fair priced oil change. They will try and talk you into more stuff and upsell, but just be realistic and know youll get that everywhere.

Was the boss out today? Because the guy who helped me was a Grade A douche. First of all, itd be nice to be treated like a human being. When I pull up and tell you what I need, dont say okay, come on, as in, get out the car. Dont hold your hand out for my keys without so much as a courtesy, maam, may I take your key? Secondly, my name is not girl. In fact, he could have used the name that I gave him and that would have worked. Im a grown woman. Not your friend and not a sub-human. Dick. Dont throw my card on the table when I pay and dont tell me to slow down when I ask for my key after youve walked away from the table without a word as if we were done. So yes, Grade A patronizing douchebag.

I went to get my car inspected here and there were multiple reasons my car failed the inspection: cracked exhaust manifold, dirty headlight covers, and my front drivers side tire. I had recently had my oil changed at another establishment and they said everything looked fine. My best friends husband is a car mechanic he is the only one I trust to do any honest work on my car for a reasonable labor cost. He didnt see any problem with my exhaust manifold before. When I asked the mechanic how he could tell there was a crack with out actually looking at (removing) the manifold he said, he could feel and hear the crack. I asked him if he could give me any more details so I could describe to my mechanic what the problem was, he and another mechanic replied, If hes a mechanic, then he should know what the problem is. Well, since that is not what I had asked and they didnt answer my questioned I asked again, in order to understand what the problem is and they continued to have an attitude with me. They quoted me at $200 or so for a used manifold and $45 for cleaning my headlight covers, which actually needed to be done, plus $145 for labor. I found a used manifold on-line for $60; however, now Im worried that if I have my mechanic put on the manifold I found they will still say there is some kind of problem with it. If you get defensive when asked a simple question, that tells me you have a reason to feel guilty, likely because they are lying about the cracked manifold. So now I have to decide if I want to pay them the $145 to put on the manifold I can order or have my mechanic do it for cheap, then go get my car inspected at another establishment.

The new staff are great I had a problem with my car and they went beyond and above to correct the problem and make it right. I am very grateful and would recommend them to anyone Joe and Dan great.

I AM SOOOOO HAPPY I WENT TO THIS LOCATION!!! I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I must share my wonderful experience on how professional and beyond kindness the Jeff and VIctor were. So I was hearing some odd noises in my Jeep Compass. I took it to couple of shops including the Jeep Dealership and they told me I need a new transmission. I was pretty concerned given the high cost of replacing a transmission.I took my Jeep to this location Wilcrest Drv, and talked to Victor. From the start he was great, listening to the issue and taking the Jeep in for diagnosis. Long story short, it turned out to be just a wheel bearing.They fixed the car in no time and saved me $$$$. Im so grateful to their expertise and professional conduct. They saved me big time.I definitely recommend them and will use them in the future.

Being the neighborhood auto repair place. I was hoping for some honesty. Dont go there for AC service. They are not very thorough. Took it there 3 times for the same problem. 1000 bucks later still not fixed. They are fine for inspections and oil changes .

Ive been here before for an oil change and generally the men are disrespectful and treat women like theyre dumb. Today I went for an inspection and I was turned away because they were busy, no big deal, but the men. Always the men. The men who work at this location are so flagrantly disrespectful it is nauseating. If you are a woman, I highly recommend you do NOT go to any Kwik kar locations. This business needs to train men to treat women as human beings and not sex objects. Customer service is a big deal and as a professional looking to take care of my vehicle, I expect a basic level of human respect and PROFESSIONALISM. It is completely inappropriate for service providers to call anyone baby. My husband and I will never return and I will actively recommend people avoid this location until Kwik kar responds with employee sensitivity training.

I recently went to get my oil change done for the second time and because i get off from work late i cannot make it there before 5:20pm,and both times i have this guy coming out of the office all mad and looking at the clock telling me is to late for him to do my oil change, i understand that the place closes at 6pm so if i show at 5:20 they still got 40 minutes to do my oil change since they advertise the 10 minutes oil change i figure thats plenty of time.

Ive been a patron of Kwik Kar Lube & Tune for approximately 3-4 years only to end our relationship very early in 2014. This sucks because I just finished paying off my vehicle and can now afford to put extra money into my vehicles wellness.To make a long story short; The staff has always been polite & friendly which is one reason why I frequent this establishment. I took my vehicle to Kwik Kar Lube this previous weekend for an oil change as well to have my battery connectors tightened. When speaking to the rep who works for Kwik Kar, I mentioned that sometimes my vehicle revs without me pressing the gas pedal, he says, in a very matter-of-fact tone, Well run a diagnostics test to see whats the error. I then mentioned that I would need to know any costs BEFORE any work is done on my vehicle. He guaranteed he would inform me of costs before hand. I then gave him my keys and the work began. After waiting about 1hr or so, I was presented with a diagnostic test waiver which mentioned costs above. I asked the worker (a short, heavyset, hispanic guy w/ glasses) what were the costs mentioned above only to have him assure me This is only a waiver, those costs are nothing. Me, being naive, signed the document. 1hr after Ive signed the document, Im presented with costs of $600+ in order to fix the issue at hand. Knowing I couldnt cover that cost on that day I opted to hold tight until further notice. Here is where the issue begins:My final bill included a $69.99 charge for the diagnostic test. When I asked about this cost, the same guy who Id asked before then remembered Oh, thats the cost for the diagnostic test. If you get your car fixed here, well waive that cost. At that moment I realized, I had been mislead and blatantly lied to about the form I signed as well the diagnostic tests hidden cost (which isnt mentioned on this shops pricing board either by the way.. which I took a picture of today as I went back to obtain a copy of the waiver I signed. In observing the copy of this infamous waiver, I see it mentions exactly what I ended up paying for at the end of that transaction.After speaking with the owner today, Ive decided to never revisit this establishment. This company has been around 48+ yrs so Im well aware they wont miss my business. At the end of the day, the issue is not that I was charged $69.99 - the issue is that when I blatantly asked about the costs, I was lied to. *NOT TO MENTION*, I just realized, he never acknowledged the battery connectors I originally asked about.

My 92 truck requires old-fashioned ESM emission check for state inspection, which is more laborious than newer OBD-II cars procedure.This place has the needed machine, but they say its down. The guy told me that staying right under the sign State inspection: All years, all models. They are obviously lying, because they said same thing to me a month ago. They are just too lazy to work the ESM procedure, and too dishonest to admit it.I used to take my trucks here in previous years, but this was my last visit here - I dont need lazy and dishonest mechanics near my cars.

Had a vehicle State inspection done on my Ford F-150. I expect it to take 10 minutes or so. Nope! The Service technician got me in and out in much less time.

As a regular, I can honestly say that the new management team has turned this place around.

Had an oil change and I was in and out within 30 minutes. I even got a report on an issue on car before it became a big issue.

If you want to be treated like garbage just come to this place. worst customer service Ive ever experience.
