My car was vandalized, and I was in serious need of honest, balanced information about major repairs. Hector worked with me to identify what was needed and what was not. He worked successfully with my insurance appraiser to make sure all necessary information was transmitted as soon as possible, and did a stellar job of communicating all along. I was temporarily relocated to Houston after hurricane Ida for work. The AC in my vehicle was not working. I asked a friend for work I if they could recommend someone to repair it. They recommended Liberty. They take all of their family vehicles to Liberty. I called around 2:00 in the afternoon and Elizabeth was able to get an appointment for 8:00am the next morning to drop my car off.I dropped my car off and the gentleman was very good at explaining the process and the charges. At 3:30 that afternoon I receive a call from Elizabeth saying my car was ready.Everyone was kind, caring and very professional. Something I really needed at the time, not being able to go home yet.And the AC blows really cold!!!

They were excellent in every way! Extremely helpful and professional. I brought my 2010 Expedition in to have everything checked thoroughly before a long road trip with my kids. There were some maintenance issues that needed to be addressed, and the team assured me that my vehicle was ready for the trip. For the entire week on our vacation I felt like I was driving a much younger/newer vehicle and we were able to enjoy vacation without the stress of a vehicle breakdown. I brought my Tacoma to Liberty for them to install a catalytic converter shield. I had never been there before, but they were recommended by the shield manufacturer. The staff was very friendly, and they got it done quickly and at a fair price. They even sent several pictures of the work they performed. I would highly recommend them.

I have a car that is 95 years old. This Hotrod needed a front end alignment and so I drive it to The liberty garage on a Saturday. Dropped it off and a few hours later they called and said it was ready. I chatted with the tech there a bit and they told me to drive it and make sure it was driving as I liked and said if any issue to bring it back and they would adjust.This car I have is a lot different than normal modern cars and I really appreciated the dedication to quality that they have. It would be easy to say no to working on this car. And it would be easy to say no warranty if youre unhappy youll have to pay again. But these guys had a great attitude and showed commitment and an amount of Joy to work on something that is not ordinary. That is the sort of dedication I really like to see, the excitement to conquer something that is seemingly challenging because it is not ordinary. Best place to take your car! I have a HUGE job done to my car that had to deal with the cylinder head gasket. Thankfully I still had warranty on my car so I didnt have to worry about that huge bill. Hector Mendez was such a huge help as well. He always kept me updated on my car. He went above and beyond. And when he wasnt there Elizabeth was there to answer all my questions. They will not give a quote for service. They want to force you to come in before they will quote anything, which is a huge waste of time and energy. Some people would like to know if something is in the ballpark of affordability before coming in for the service.

After having a rather unpleasant experience at the dealership, I came to Liberty Hoepfl for a second opinion. They were referred to me by a close friend, but the impression I got - from beginning to end - was absolutely wonderful.I took my car in for a check coolant warning. At the dealership, this ensued a proposed fix north of $2,000 dollars, and an obnoxious you can leave with your car [without any work on it] at your own risk. When I called Liberty Hoepfl, they promptly asked me to bring my car for an inspection. From the first time I called, they were welcoming and polite. Once I actually got there, they were warm, understanding, and efficient. After a couple of hours, they had diagnosed the issue, and took the time to walk me through what the problem was. This was not just a simple call or email - and aside from a complete report, the technician that worked on my car, the owner, and other members of the team listened patiently to all of my concerns, and addressed each one of them. At one point, I had 4 people listening attentively to, and responding my comments and questions - even with other customers waiting in line. They even showed me a model engine to explain where the issues were. They even went as far as actually noticing a couple of other things that should warrant attention. All of this, for a price 25 times lower than the dealership. But best of all, I walked out confident about what the situation had been, knowing it had been repaired properly, and most importantly, feeling heard by HONEST EXPERTS that know what they are doing.No, I did not get paid to post this review, nor am I getting any sort of benefit, in any way, shape or form. Car garages tend to be places where honesty is lacking, or at the very least, problems are not fixed thoroughly, ensuring a trip back in the near future. OMG!!! This place is so AWESOME!!!I was trying to find a place that was reasonable and honest to fix my 4 runner everybody I called or went to was so exspensive I talked to was saying it would be about 2 or 3 thousand for what we thought was wrong and was not even the problem so my husband said hey I seen this place right down the street so I went there and they were so welcome and they treat you just like family and to check it out was reasonable not hi like other places so long story short because every day you never know what was happening we didnt have to call them and check on it and they gave us a real REASONABLE price of $658 dollars and all we needed was a master cylinder kit so they could rebuild it only take but a week and a half so this weekend I was. So happy I was able to enjoy my truck so I want people to kno I HIGHLY recommend you go there they are fast and they are very good at what they do and they are very reasonable with their prices so thank you liberty Hoepful Garage u have made me the HAPPIEST COSTOMER IN THE WORLD!!!!😂😍💞😘💋🤗

We needed to get the power steering fixed and they also found a problem with the rear bearing. Although we usually fix many things on our older cars we decided to let the professionals handle the situation. We suspected that the power steering might only need a hose based on the advice of another mechanic who suggested to try this first but Liberty garage when we questioned the diagnosis as a full pump replacement they sent a video of the leaking pump. We are well pleased with the result and I was very impressed with the full written report as well. The lady at the front desk was very attentive and on the ball. Furthermore, the quick and prompt service got me right back into my car in a days time. We are glad we opted to have this job done for us!

Gear shift selector stuck 2008 Chevy Silverado. Initially I did not want to leave my vehicle because I assumed my repairs were financially out of my reach. I came in skeptical thinking I would be cheated due to other mechanics from the past and I was a female. All of the staff were patient, kind, courteous and reassuring. Ive used Liberty for approximately 5 or 6 years and Ive been happy with their services for the most part. However, on my last visit was not happy. My car had a small oil leak and after the inspection, Liberty recommended to replace the oil pan and gasket. I had replace it and had an oil change. When I got home the oil leak not only didnt stop, but it got bigger. Additionally, the engine was making a rattling noise when I took it to get the oil pan replaced and it became louder after the change. When I took it back, they told me the car was leaking oil from the oil filter housing and the noise was related to the head in the engine. The cost to repair both issues would most likely be more than the car was worth. Im not blaming them for the issues with my car, but I wouldnt have spent almost $1,000.00 for the oil pan change, if all these issues had been brought up my attention during the inspection.

I Really disappointed no masks no social distancing. My vehicle was parked an hour before I was checked out. The car wasn’t sanitized . I am not comfortable coming here any longer. I get the feeling in midst of a pandemic that per google has taken 117,163 lives . In a state I middle of a spike in cases, it’s as if they don’t care. This doesn’t align with previous experiences here

Went there to get diagnostic and fix my car. a fat guy with glasses telling me to leaves my car to get diagnosed instead of get it done right the way.he is not even my service advisor. A lady supposed to take care of me . The lady took my key to the technician to help me with. That guy leave his desk and get my key back to the office and telling me in challenging way that I got leave my car. This guy is not respecting his coworker the lady at all to jump on her customer. This guy needs to be trained or find something else in his life. Very disappointed with his attitude. Never go back there again.

I brought my friend there since his car needed to be fixed! The shop is nice and the front desk people are welcoming. However, i saw a man in his 60s, looks like the owner, yelling at employee in front of the others! I felt sorry for that employee. Theyre there to work not to treated as slaves! I told this to my friend when we on the way home. I donct know about my friend but me, personally i will not go there for any services because i think if the boss doesnt treat the employees right, since they make money for the shop, will they treat customers right when they earn money from customers?

I had a great experience having my car taken care of. They did a thorough check for the needs of my car and didnt cheat me with the amount needed to fix it. They were very professional but personable and I felt like part of their family. I especially enjoyed my conversations with Jada, Chris, Juan and Shelly. They made me feel very welcomed, I will return for all my repairs.

I had weird issues with my trunk involving the sensor and latch. Liberty was able to determine the cause, get a new part, and finish the job within two business days. Wonderful staff, great communication, and overall awesome experience. It is SO cool that they take pictures and send you an electronic information page so you can see the issues yourself before making decisions on what to do. VERY helpful for people like me with limited car experience.

Never Again!I tried to give this place a chance. I shouldve known better when the diagnostic charge jump $20 from what was told to me. The communication was terrible. It took them 6 days to replace a 4 hour part. I lost a week of work due to the lack or urgency and failure to communicate the amount of time it takes to fix a simple part.Lesson learned. I wont be back!!!

Had my car towed in per AAA reccomendation. They did a great job in that my car, which has been immaculately maintained, was repaired and returned to me in perfect condition. I am very happy with the outcome and am happy to find a shop that knows what they are doing. They may not be the cheapest, but their prices are competitive and I am happy to pay a little more to get this kind of result. They are now my go to

Work performed was satisfactory. They lacked overall communication which was upsetting as it was the first time using their services. After them telling me they would give me a call back with answers to my questions on status and prices, I had to call them because after waiting several hours, I never received a call back. This, I feel, caused delay in getting my car repaired adding to the frustration of having to deal with not having transportation.For that reason I gave them three stars.

First time I’ve used this shop based on referral from a friend. They turned the job around in less than a day and provided a higher quality overall product at a reasonable cost. They were incredibly professional. I will use them again.

Brought in my Nissan Maxima with a check engine light.Requested to have a diagnostic done for which i would have to leave it and they would call me when the results were in. About five hours went by and no call,so I,living not very far from them went to the garage to get the results.They found a P0420 which has to do with bank 1 which has to do with insufficient catalyst performance.Paid $130.00 for the diagnosis which Im sure they only used a code reader instead of a more technical scanner. They quoted me repair cost for $2100.00! wanting to replace upstream, downstream sensors and catalytic converter . Came back home and a few days later watching some youtube auto repair videos, determined to replace only the upstream sensor and problem resolved for $89.00 dlls.No wonder auto repair bussisness is a gold mine!!

My most recent experience was for an oil change on Sat., 09/06/20. I dropped the vehicle off around 1:30 p and it was ready for pickup at 4 p which is closing time. I have used Hoepfl since 2011 and trust this shop to do the repairs correctly and on time.

The energy of the establishment was a bit weird, the mechanic seemed to have no passion whatsoever.. I paid $500 for diagnostic and alternator replacement, when the job was complete the same problem still existed.. if you need electrical work stay away from this place...

This is the first car repair shop that I recommend on all counts. I recently attended a car clinic with my daughter who had a chance to learn about car maintenance and so much more. The shop is so clean and the mechanics are honest and will explain exactly what is wrong with your car. This past week we got a letter in the mail saying that healthcare workers will be given free oil changes. Who does that? They are so generous and giving, even during this COVID19 crisis. They went above & beyond to help me with my AAA problem.

I recently took my 2004 Subaru to this facility. I waited almost 4 hours for a falsified diagnsotic report. I was told be the rep that he had to get the owner to double check the techs work because it didnt seem accurate. I was quoted over $150 for a hot oil engine flush and over $212 for a fuel injector cleaner package. Since I left, I have called and reviewed the quote with a few facilities and have been met with abject laughter of the scam that was attempted.I finally took my car to Firestone, who ran the same test, replaced the O2 sensor (which was the only code that came up), added engine cleaner, had an oil change, started using premium gas from Shell, and car is now in great shape. Total cost $200ish. NOT almost $1600 I was quoted at this place. I requested a refund and was met with one attempted guilt trip (apparently an employee quit because they were questioned about the falsified quote) and then several defensive accusatory back end emails in my request for a refund. To say the least? Pathetic.

My car broke down on a trip to Houston. AAA schedule my service with Adolf Hoepfl. When we told the tow truck driver where we were going, he said, Great choice!They were able to fix my problem quickly, including getting a new part almost immediately. If I had gone to the dealership like I normally would, it would have been days waiting on that part. I was back on the road in less than 3 hours, and made it home safely. They were very thorough and found a few other issues I need to address that the dealership didnt when I had it in just a few weeks ago.Customer service was extraordinary. Everyone was kind, helpful, informative, and funny! It made my stressful situation so much easier. I wish I could find a garage like this at home. It is truly a gem.

Twice rescued by this place. I think Im in love. Definitely worth a third try. Not the cheapest mechanic but they fix it right the first time.

Had my brakes serviced here. One of the few shops in town that has the machines to check new brake rotors runout with the rotors installed on the vehicle and machine/pro cut the rotors perfectly to ensure that no brake judder develops. I had brand new rotors put at another shop and they started vibrating in a couple of months. The guys at Hoepfl garage were able to resurface them lightly on the car and the problem never came back. This is key if you have a performance or sports brakes. Id definitely highly recommend doing your brakes here. Service is prompt and courteous. They do offer to drop you off back home when you leave your car for service.

You want it done right, get it done here. They document your cars issues with detailed pictures and explainations. They sent my diagnosis via text message. Felt like i was at a Lexus service department. I saw classic camaro being serviced. They worked on my loyal Prius. Satisfied with these passionate techs. Recommend.

ZERO stars here. Had to leave one star in order to post review. I went to get an state inspection and they could not do it because there was a problem with my port communicating with their computer. I asked the mechanic what could be wrong and could he fix it and he had no clue. So I was charged for the inspection and told to come back when I got the problem fixed and they would inspect for free. My vehicle has always been properly maintained and in 20 years have never had a problem with inspection. I understand they are entitled to the fee. The reason for no stars is their customer service was awful and their diagnostic knowledge is zero. I was kept waiting for 20 minutes just to pay them their $25.50 inspection fee. All for no reason. There was only one other customer. I was totally ignored by all four people behind their counter who were involved in solving some problem on one computer. The mechanic came in twice and waited to hand the invoice to the checkout lady but she along with the others ignored him. Only on the third attempt was he successful. When I left the person who drove my vehicle out of the garage was smoking and my cab reeked with the smell of cigarette smoke. Long story short, I went elsewhere the next day and my port problem was diagnosed (I had a short in a wire) and fixed right away with no wait. I had my repair and inspection in less than 45 minutes from my arrival. I will never go back.

Went in for a simple state inspection. They somehow never uploaded the information to the state system. When I called to check on why this was (since I was unable to renew my registration), they just said they had no idea what happened. Their only offer was to reinspect it. This has caused significant inconvenience.

I appreciate these folks so much. Our car got stranded in Houston last month (300 miles from home). Our mechanic at home recommended them. The owners Kathryn and Steven personally stayed late, until about 8 p.m. on a Friday night, to try to get us back on the road. Needless to say, we were surprised and grateful at how they went above and beyond for us. They were patient, kind, and generous. If we lived closer, we wouldnt take our cars anywhere else!

This place used to be my favorite place to go to and was really focused on customer service. The latest four trips however have been nightmares and they dont seem to care. Twice I have been there after calling and asking for an estimated wait time and was told no wait only to arrive and find out it would be an hour and a half plus. On one trip to get a simple oil change, the mechanic told me that I needed some sort of special cleaner and was charged for it, only to find out that nothing was done when I called to schedule a follow up appointment to add the new oil back in.

Ok, so my repair did not go as planned. This is that point where humans and machines meet. But, let me tell you.....this shop STANDS BEHIND THIER WORK.....and will take excellent care of the customer and their car! Things may not have gone perfectly....but my mechanic will make it right....and a shop guaranty and warranty to back it up! No money can buy that!!! I dare you to tell me a shop in Houston today who still does that....and offer a one year commitment. Did I mention you could eat off the floor of this shop.....its perfectly kept....😎

They called me to remind me about inspection. Set appointment 2 weeks in advance. Get here and they tell me they only have time do do one or the other because they have two cars in front of me and then the gut who does them is leaving for the day. Whats the sense in making an appointment?? Then they call today to tell me that I had an appointment yesterday and that I could instead come in on Saturday. No organization.

I went to this location because I had heard good things from people that had used them for basic service. I called ahead and told them the issue, bad alternator, had the vehicle towed to their location waited for their bid. They turned around the bid quickly but the price was outrageous, nearly $200 more than the max of the price ranges I had researched and spent on previous alternator work. After asking for the breakdown I was told that they were bidding a $400 reconditioned alternator with a 36,000 mile warranty, a price that was twice the cost of just about anything online claiming a lifetime warranty. Additionally they claimed that they were going to have to take off the front end to replace the alternator which was inaccurate as it is accessible from the front passenger wheel well. I opted to purchase the part from a different company for less than half what they quoted (again with a lifetime warranty) and paid them for the labor rather than towing the car to another location. When I paid the final invoice I was shocked to see that they charged for the diagnostic on top of the labor and they charged for the battery charge to perform the diagnostic. All of this stings a little because A) Ive never paid a diagnostic at a mechanic that performed the repair and B) I diagnosed the problem before dropping off the vehicle and asking for a price on an alternator replacement. The staff was pretty friendly and the service was prompt, but it definitely felt like they were trying to rake me over the coals on price and when I didnt buy their overpriced part they stuck me with a diagnostic fee just to sink their teeth in a little more.

The office staff and mechanics are unfailingly helpful, cheerful, competent, and trustworthy.

I brought in a list of items that needed attending to on my vehicle. Hoepfl found more and more expensive repairs totaling over $2,700, all of which I approved. The repairs were performed quickly, but one of the things on my written list to them was overlooked. No one checked the mechanics work. When I mentioned the oversight, Hoepfl wasnt really concerned about the lack of attention. I hope someone checked the work I paid for, but I am left wondering.I had been excited about finding a family run business in my neighborhood. The family business was obviously not as excited about me as a customer. I may be back since they are a family run business, but will continue the search for a locally owned garage. I was debating between Professional Auto Care on Honeywell St and Hoepfl and wish now that I had gone to Professional.
