The worst customer service. Lazy technicians clearly paid by the hour not by performance. Cars lined up to get oil changes with no sense of urgency. Took them 45 min to replace my battery. Truly sad.

Came to get two back tires and they didn’t bother doing a quality check... thankfully I checked myself before driving to Austin...a huge lip of the tire was tucked under the rim. They fixed the issue but being how obvious the mistake was and how they didn’t bother to address it in the first place is just carelessness. Won’t be coming back to this location.Customer service is hit or miss, first time here and definitely was a hassle compared to the last Walmart auto I’ve been to (wait time/short staff).

This is not the first time I come to Walmart for oil change, and i do like Walmart. However, I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone. I waited over an hour and 30 minutes for simple oil change.the man who take my order also was not very friendly. To sum up, good price but very bad customer service.

They’re so unprofessional here. After keeping me waiting here for an hour, they came telling me my tire needs replacement. It’s a lot of people here at Walmart so everyone was just fooling around. There’s an older, tall guy here name Karl, he has a bad bad attitude. And also this guy with long dread name Jonathan Landry, he’s just acting as if I’m here to ask him out so full of himself. Please just go ahead to NTB (National Tire and Battery). They’re professional there and they’re quick to let you know if you need a new tire or not.

This place is hella slow. I came in for a routine oil change and it was over an hour before they even pulled my car in... then it was another 30-40 minutes before they started on my car. Mind you it’s only two cars in the bays. This is NOT the place to go if you want an oil change in a decent timeframe. I’m only giving two stars because the crew keep me laughing while I was out there and one because of the actual oil change.

I like the tires that I ordered, but honestly it seems as though there was a clear confusion related to getting service done. The timeline quotes given were off by nearly a hour over original projection.Ive had better service before, but on February 24, 2020 this was pretty horrible. Being understaffed is understandable, but most of us just needed tires changed. It shouldnt take three hours to change a tire.The service manager did all he could, but it really seemed as though some of the employees were lax about getting service complete.

Then it took one hour to drive to a non closed tire center, about two hours to change one tire, and about an hour to pay for it.There is so much more I could go into, but its just not worth it. Avoid unless you have all the time in the world, you keep all of your receipts to prove to them the information they dont have in their system, and you pay close attention to not being charged full price for items being replaced under their warranty.

Mixed experience. The first gentlemen in automotive that helped me was friendly andattentive. The second barely went through the motions as I attempted to check out and didnt so much as look at me during the entire transaction. I dont expect to be showered with attention at a big box store but it was pretty much made known to me that by interrupting whatever else it is they wanted to be doing. For the first gentleman, I give an extra star. In the end, its Wal-Mart.

I got accused of stealing a battery that I paid for, and installed myself because their techs were taking to long and couldnt be bothered with even the most basic questions that would require a simple yes and no. Also, please teach your employees that asking me to produce a receipt, then continuing to hold my keys hostage (for a car that I, not your employees, pay for. And a battery that I purchased and installed) does come off as racist and abusive. And the fact that I have to put this on Google because the managers you hire to be responsible are no where to be found. During this particular time, even frito lay, which I heard on the radio, was waiting for about 30 minutes according to one of your associates. Get new management. And hire friendlier employees.

I put 1 star but I wish i could put zero stars. If you dont care about your car, go there. Otherwise, stay away. Go to a professional car care place. They make you feel like you are in the middle of the hood and customer service is a joke. They messed up my oil filter twice and no apologies. If you want to save money on your oil change, be smart, use Groupon coupons and go to a good car care place and it would be even cheaper that this place. The wait is very long and the staff are just awful. You wont see me there anymore.

Dropped car off at 11:30 for oil change and new tire. Called 6 times between the hours of 3 and 7. They kept saying they were working on it until 7 when they said its ready for pickup. I show up and my spare is still on. They say they were unable to change but they couldnt reach me on the phone. I pay for the oil and realize they charged for the tire as well. I get a refund on the tire and go to my car to hurry over to NTB before they close. I get in my car and realize they didnt put an oil change sticker on and my oil light is still on. I call them up and say I have to get the tire fixed tonight but they didnt put on the sticker or fix the light. They say they will be there later so I can stop by. I get to NTB and they say the oil was not changed .... I left my car for over 7 hours they did nothing and charged me for all of it. Never go here.

My 1997 ford f150 was turned down for a oil change. The NOT manager thinking he runs the place had a very bad ATTITUDE said the engine is knocking No duh! DumDum its needs a oil change! I got my oil change down the street. Then went back to walmart to talk to the REAL manager on duty for my complaint. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

There was no one in line. Waited for 20 minutes in my car while making eye contact with all three employees on duty while they looked at my car but never approached. I even got their attention and they proceeded to say one sec which turned into ten minutes. When finally approached I asked if they were busy or if it normally takes them 20 minutes to greet a new customer and he just shrugged and laughed, said they weren’t busy and that no, normally it does not take that long. After I asked why it took that long this time again he just shrugged and laughed. After reluctantly handing over my car keys (no one was smiling everyone seemed annoyed) i said thank you and got no response, I went inside. One of the mechanics came inside and I asked if a manager was on duty. He hesitated and said yeah but he’s outside. I asked to speak with him and he rolled his eyes and went outside. I waited five minutes and the manager never came so I just assumed he did not care and proceeded to walk around the store. The customer service of this group is horrible. I would not recommend coming here. It was a young Hispanic man, an African American man with long dreds and another man that looked Persian and wore glasses. 5.27.18 12:00 PM. If management actually reads this you can see who was scheduled at this time to get names. Maybe give them another talk about customer service and hospitality. Thanks.

As a value buyer, I recently decided to get my oil changed at Walmart. For about $20, I get the base oil change every 3000. Wal-Mart doesnt try to up sell me on repairs or services I dont need.I also buy my car batteries at Wal-Mart. Good product at a good price, and it is easy to remember where to go when it is time for a new one. They prorate discount for any remaining months of promised length.Service was quick. I shopped. That called me when my car was ready.

Would like to extent my most sincere gratitude to Mr. Jose and Mr. Jimmy at this location. They were professional and handled my vehicle as it was their own. Before visiting this location I was a bit apprehensive due to the previous reviews however after speaking with Mr. Jose over the phone prior to my visit he made the decision much better. I would recommend this location to friends, family and colleagues.

Corporate/Local Walmart Offices/Stores World Wide need to know not to hire JOHNATHAN!!!! He needs to be terminated immediately. I was so surprised that my favorite Walmart store would employ someone without the proper Customer Service Skills/Training needed to greet EACH customer in the Auto Care Center! Every department has always shown a desire to assist. Yet when I roll up and the first person to greet me is UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, LOUD, and wants to be seen rather than assisting me with my car repair needs makes me want to take my money to another location. (On flats) I especially like the Kirkwood/Westheimer location because of convenience, as well as pass automobile service. But to ride up and know my dog greets me better than this human being is a real turn off. When an employee comes to work they represent the company, they stand out, show class as well as, earn a paycheck for doing a job well done. But if this is what you have representing the company...other potential customers need to know to take their money somewhere else.

These guys are trash and take forever. They take an hour on each car just for an oil change that should be easy. Drain, change filter, and refill with new oil. How does that even take an hour? Dont come here and waste your time. Even when you pull up the just make you wait for 10 min before even greeting you or asking how they could help. Horrible. Jose has very good customer service. Rasool does not treat the customer good and is always rude. He needs to find another job if he doesnt like this one. Ive been here a few times and it never changes. Not coming back!

I went today to change my tire I had to drive 30 min to get to there once I got there they told me you have to wait at least an hr &half which I had no problem with, then I asked if I could leave my keys there and go do something else they said no u have to stay next to your car and I tried to ask a technician just if I can leave my keys here his reply was, I can’t answer you now I have customers, well service inside was no good, service outside, was horrible!! .... very rude and careless about their customers! Are they that lazy to move the cars!!Anywhere you go you leave your keys with them and they will take care of it and call when it’s ready but here at this Walmart they want the customers next to their cars... okay but for 2 hours??? Who does this. Only reason I went was because I had warranty on my tire, and if I knew service was gonna be this “awesome” I would’ve never gotten my tire there in the first place... screw the warranty! I wasn’t expecting excellent service... I know it’s Walmart where you pay less for just okay service, but that wasn’t even okay, and I didn’t even pay less! Smh... there’s Walmart for you! Absolutely horrible. My dad went to get a battery replacement and ended up getting charged twice! He had to wait two hours to get his money back because the cashier went on break and no one knew how to fix this. I thought Walmart had an superior supply chain system where all their inventory is track. How does a battery get entered twice into the system? Why is two hours for a refund not cause to be apologetic? This is horrible customer service and they should be ashamed.

Horrible place to buy a battery for your car, went Monday at 3:00 pm said it would be a 3 hour wait went by at 7:00 am Tuesday morning, they stood at the bay doors and watched me then decided at 7:30 am to open the doors told me to go inside first,waited another hour then was told to go back out by then they took 2 other customers in front of me waited 2 more hours still no battery, then was told to park car front of a bay door that was closed. I can install a battery in 15 minutes these guys who work in automotives at Kirkwood Wal-Mart think they can pick and choose who they want to serve and apparently I was one they did not want to help. Note: I never got my battery. Peace !

Dont come here. I waited 2 hours before they even started on my vehicle. A customer came in after me and they worked on their vehicle before mine. That customer even showed up 5 minutes before they closed. The cashier tried to say it was because they only had one mechanic. If thats the case it should be first come first serve.

Came for a high mileage oil change and it took 2 and a half hrs. Thats ridiculous!! I shopped in the store and payed, stood in a long line at the money center for a money order, came back to the lube and still had to wait another 1hr and a half because my car hadnt been looked at. I was second in line when I pulled up and when I came back smh. There are lots of hands on duty but 1 or 2 servicing. What are the others here for. Walmart has to do better.

Terrible experience!! The two following mishaps were enough for me to never come back:1) The mechanic didnt even bother to change my oil because he said he didnt have the appropriate tool. Went to another Walmart they changed it for me.2) Went back to the same place and the oil got out the car after 3 days. Turns out they didnt put the plug on.Never going back there. Go to sears, they give much better service

Every time I have come to get my oil changed the workers/car technicians are so rude. I always come 1st thing in the morning. You literally cant ask a question or say anything and they barely answer or respond. I called to speak w/the manager once about 1 of the workers and his response was oh thats just how he is & youre not the 1st to tell me this. Im like okay so why is that ok? Its hard to trust that someone who is extremely rude is doing the right thing when it comes to your car. Customer service is none existent there. Out of the 3 workers I have encountered, all 3 were short and rude.

Took my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation, but got it returned dirty. The technicians left grease prints all over my car. My door handles, center console, steering wheels, and even my rear lift gate were left greasy and nasty. To add pain to the insult, they left a very noticeable scratch in my rear seat. Now I dont know what business they had in the back seat, the services I asked for clearly did not require them being there. Maybe they were in the backseat to hang out? At this point Im not even sure they performed any maintenance on my vehicle. This place is unprofessional, stay away!!!

I am surprised that I am the first to review the Tire and Lube Express center based on the three previous negative encounters with this department. Three strikes and you’re out.First Strike: I took my car in to get the oil changed. The service men visual saw me pull up. I sat in the car and waited for about 5-7 minutes before an individual walked over to help me. Actually, just kidding, he walked right past me and asked how he could help the customer that pulled up after me. I got out of my car and said “Hey man, I need an oil change, want me to leave my keys in my car?” He ignored me and continued to work with the customer who pulled up behind me. The customer with the service man looked embarrassed for how the service man was treating me. (I don’t know this service man, I have never met him) I waited for about 15 minutes more. He came by and rudely asked me what I wanted. I told him an oil change. The impression that I got from this individual is that he didn’t want to be there. He took some notes and asked me to sign his pad. He was rather rude, and I instantly wanted to leave…. But I waited this long. I might as well get what I came for. About 45 minutes later they finished up. I paid and went to get in my car. I sat down and placed my forearm on the middle consul into a pool of sweat and grease. I looked at the window, sweat and grease. I looked at the shifter, sweat and grease. I looked at the door, sweat and grease. I felt the steering wheel, sweat and grease. What a half-as* job. Absolutely disgusting and will not be taking my car back to this location.Second strike: I took my wife here to buy a new car battery because hers was not holding a charge. We went inside and purchased a battery. Since we had purchased our last battery from here we could have it replaced by the service men. We went out and pulled the car around to the shop. I expected one of the service men to come out and ask how they could help me. The service men visual saw me and decided that I could wait a few minutes (one car in shop in front of me, so they were not super busy). When they eventually got around to helping me the individual asked me what I needed (this is a different service man from the previous story). I told him that I need the battery I purchase inside to be replaced. He condescendingly told me it would be a few minutes saying that he was busy and didn’t have time for that. I told him that’s fine, as long as we are serviced before the other three cars that had pulled up next to us in the time that it took him to come over and ask us what we wanted. He sarcastically laughed and walked off. I left my keys in the car. We walked inside and watched the football game. After 40 minutes, I checked in with the lady at the checkout counter regarding our battery. She was surprised that they hadn’t come in for the battery yet. In fact, they moved my wife’s car and had serviced two other cars that came in after me. She went out and talked to them about it. A few minutes later, she went out again and snarled at them about not getting to my car. It took them a little over an hour and a half to change out a battery (10 minute job once they got to it). The service men were extremely rude and condescending.Third strike: It’s too insulting for me to actually describe. I don’t want to get fired up. So pissed…….. :(
