Like many of the reviews here, we also had a truck reservation issue. We arrived and were told they did not have the truck we reserved. They could not look up our reservation so they had us call U-Haul Corporate. Fortunately, U-Haul was able to resolve the issue and called to inform the person at the desk that we did have a reservation and they did have a truck for us. We had also reserved furniture blankets and dollies and were told those were not available. We did not have enough backup blankets so a lot of of furniture was damaged and we had to waste an hour of our movers going to Home Depot to rent dollies.
Pain to deal with. My SO and I have a unit and they cant seem to get their automatic payments to work. We constantly have to call in order to pay because they tell us we have a past due balance. For a self storage facility that has to do the bare minimum to take care of their customer, they cant even do that. Its frustrating and annoying to deal with the same issue month after month.
They go up in rent every 6 months. I always have issues with payments not going through properly. Wouldnt recommend.
The gate is always broken and there is very little space to navigate, they have multiple businesses at this location which makes it difficult for parking and unloading/reloading for customers. The driveway is super narrow
BEWARE they will increase your rate about every few months.

These guys have 0 respect for their customers. Old man with white hair is rude and disrespectful, wouldnt let me park my truck when I went to pay for my Storage. The rest of the staff doesnt operate by any customer service standards.
This place is the literal worst. We came from out of town, had reserved a U-Haul days before, waited in line and were told no trucks were available. No remorse. Nobody tried to help. One of the ladies didn’t even have her mask on. Sub zero star rating.
Happy with the unit. Unhappy with the service. Almost 10 years a customer and they charge me a $15 late fee because someone didn’t do their job. They basically said they can’t do anything about it, almost alluding it was my fault. I’m on AutoPay. Went in person to get credit card issue resolved. Weeks later see a late fee. Seems I’m not the only one who got charged (based on another review).I’m willing to stay (and update the review) if they’re willing to address the issue.5/5/19 Again I get a call today that my credit card didn’t go through. Third time in five months I’ve had to give the same credit card information. Again, happy with storage, but either the system or people are not working. And still no word on being charged a late fee in March because credit card didn’t go through.

Take your business somewhere else.Elevator has been broken for upwards of 8 months +. Never seen anyone working on it even once. Management doesn’t seem to want to fix it.In addition to that, what really bugs me is how rude the people are that work here. With how many different storage places there are, go an extra 2 minutes down the street and rent somewhere else.Read the other reviews where people have billing problems. Has happened to me too. THEY mess up the billing one month, and immediately will put a lock on your unit. Then when you go to see what the problem is, they said it was their system. Has happened to me twice now.
Trying to get a quote and customer service was terrible. A women answered and immediately said call back I can’t hear you and clicked without giving me a chance to adjust my volume. This was after calling a bit trying to get through.
I love this place! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly; the building is new, strong and fortified. One doesnt have to worry about flooding, even in the basement lockers, because theyre situated so high up over the bayou. You can pay by phone, online or go by and visit and pay, thatswhat I like to do. There are long hours back in the storage area where you can take care of business. I feel safe there too. Highly recommended.

I made a reservation for one of the trucks was told everything was taken care of. When I called to adjust time I was told my reservation had been moved to another pick up the u haul truck. No one communicated the change. I had made arrangements for people to meet me to empty my storage unit. When I was speaking w someone from community storage she hung up on me. This is unacceptable. My storage unit has the only things that survived Harvey. They are happy to take your money but no follow through w customer service. When I ask for manager or owners name the girl said she could not tell me. Again, take money no problem provide help or communicate big problem. Do not use this company because they do not care about you as a customer.
I have been doing business here for over year. Renting their trucks mainly. Today I found myself in a bind and their amazing costumer service saved me. The assistant manager there, Sandi went out of her way to help me with a last minute scheduling conflict. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place
The only reason Im giving 1 star is because I cannot give none. These folks are so rude--zero customer service and less personality. They dont greet customers, dont offer to help, and barely thank you after a purchase. One of the staff referred to me as if I wasnt standing there to another staff member. Avoid!!!
Extremely polite and helpful staff. The facility is quite clean, Im sure insect and rodent activity are marginal as it is surrounded by a lot of trees and grass but at this time it was spotless.
I wish there was a way to leave a negative amount of stars for this place. When moving out of our storage unit, we threw away 2 small boxes into the dumpster. No sign was placed stating we weren’t supposed to use the dumpster. A few minutes later and lady came out and was banging on my car window. She proceeded to yell and scream at my husband regarding him throwing the boxes into the dumpster. She stated that her employee should have locked it but he didn’t but that she was going to charge us a fee for using it. The next day when I went to close out my account, she was EXTREMELY rude to me, embarrassing me in front of the other staff members and customers saying if I didn’t pay the fine she was reporting me to collections. Keep in mind I had my 6 month old baby with me and never argued or said I wasn’t going to pay the fine. I called my husband after letting him know how rude she was and he tried calling 3 times but she would never answer. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I have had storage there for 6 yrs. renting Truck: advise to call the day before to check if truck will be there or close by. They do advise this.You should cross check their uhaul mileage with gps. I had a significant difference in their favor and a friend of mine did too. They gave a refund for over mileage.
Although there was only 1 cart available anrwhere near my storage and no one staff in site, they have good security and parking, are reasonably price & havel deals as well.They also offer a free 24 hour truck rental with move in and are convenirntly located.The only caveat was the 30 minute timed light in my starage unit. As I was climbing up and over my belongings, the light timer went off and I was plunded into darkness, delicately balanced about 5 feet off the ground with no way to see my footing down. I know you can see it and are possibly laughing at the vision, but it was indeed a treacherous descent!Bring a headlamp!
Poor customer service. I went to the facility at 6:05 and everyone looked at me as if there was a problem with walking in around a time they were about to close. The staff were little to no help in assisting me with the boxes I needed. Also, they placed all my items on the curb at 6:20 and said they had to lock the doors. Overall horrible service and horrible staff.
Reserved a uhaul at this location, for 12.... we all know how Houston traffic can be, and arrived at 12:45. They told us that they gave away our truck to a walk in. We now have movers waiting at our home with no truckThanks guys!P.s. spoke to uhaul and they informed that we should have called them. First off, we are the client. They have our phone number why cant they call us. We had our cc on the reservation so they could have charged it and gotten a free hour.Save yourself a headache and rent some place else
My UHAUL BROKE DOWN in Rural west Texas in a dust storm. Uhaul roadside assistance was incredibly helpful over the phone and we understand it takes a while for repair people to drive out there. After several hours, a towtruck was sent to tow rest of the way, but it has been several months and I was told I would receive a partial refund, but I have YET to receive any resolution to this or ANY phone contact. I have called U-haul customer Service multiple times since January (when I moved) and each time, they call the business owner (who is responsible for checking the trucks, apparently) and each time, they call them and nothing happens. Do not use this location. In Houston, there are many truck rental options. This has been such a horrible experience. I paid $600 for a working truck to drive 8.5 hours and only got 6 hours and had to be towed the rest of the way.
This was Mhartis 3rd favorite self storage center. I miss him already.
This facility has the absolute most hateful people I have ever had the displeasure to meet. I had Judy Fann (area director) scream and yell at my wife and 6 month old daughter in front of multiple other clients over an issue she had nothing to do with. I cannot believe this place is still in business. LOOK ELSEWHERE IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING SELF STORAGE.

I reserved and paid for a truck from this location. When I arrived they had given it to someone else and said I would not be charged. Really screws up a moving day when you’ve already paid movers but don’t have a truck. Filed a complaint with national company, hopefully they can find me another truck.Update: after reading Community Self Storage and Uhaul reviews on Yelp, I decided to rent from Penske Truck Rentals.

Worst Customer Service Ever. When into their location and booked a U-haul truck 10 days before I needed it. When I went back on that day to pick up the truck, with a copy of my reservation, they informed me that they didnt have any trucks, even though there were several parked out front. They said my truck needed to be picked up at another location that was 17 miles away. I flipped out, manager was next to no help. Would never step foot in this place again.

When returning my Uhaul rental to Community Self Storage I was immediately turned away by the counter staff citing that my truck was too large for them to handle. This was dissapointing, seeing as how this location was where I was told to return to, not to mention that I am new to the area and unfamiliar with the city of Houston. This was also my first time driving something as large as a 26 box truck, let alone in Downtown Houston. I politely asked where should I take it to and the staff gave me no information. I went outside the store and began researching for a location to return the truck to. At this time, two managers came out and began yelling and cursing at me demanding that I take the truck off their property immediately or they were going to call the cops. I politely asked them to calm down and to give me a new location to go to and they said it was not their problem; but Uhauls, and that I should get my truck and myself off the property before they call the cops.I have never received worse customer service in my life, nor felt threatened like this before. The main manager, a male, was verbally abusive and confrontational, yelling and screaming in my face for no apparent reason.I would highly recommend that Uhaul discontinue using this broker as I would imagine this sort of behavior constitutes a great liability risk. I will also never use Uhaul or Community Self Storage again; nor will my family, as moving is hard enough without being threatened and verbally abused for no reason other than a manager was having a bad day and didnt want to assist a customer and arrive at a happy ending for all of us.Another customer showed up just as I was getting into the truck to go elsewhere and before he could even step out of the cab they were treating him the same way, verbally abusing a man that literally had just pulled into the parking lot.Absolutely ridiculous.
Had auto pay for monthly account charged, they never remember to take the charge, rather they lick the storage unit, and place overdue charge account.I have to call - to pay the bill and remove the past due charge.In the past year theyve failed to take the charge (an auto chargre) more than half the time.Its beyond me why these folks cant figure out how to initiate the automatic charge.
Secure place. Just dont forget your unit # and passcode because its required for elevator use.
