University Pickers is a very nice place to visit and shop around, the vendors are unique with a lot of great things for sale and the store is clean and organized. It’s definitely one of the more upscale places to shop for antiques and collectibles so they are definitely worth stopping by to have a look around.

They have so many vendors and so many stuff is unbelievable. Go and visit, you will find what you looking for and more.

I made my first trip in there this afternoon. Im impressed. The place is much larger than it looks from the street. Its packed full of wonderfull finds. Eye candy is not the word. If you like collecting, one of a kinds, and reclamation decorating this is your haunt. I didnt buy today. It was kind of a fact finding junkett. Ill be back once I know my spaces I have to fill and its not a spur of the moment, time on my hands, Im not going to linger because Im not exactly dressed kind of trip. Goblin. You owe it to yourself. Just a point to the local at home pro, those pieces you bring back increase their value in market when they are locally sourced and you can document the history. I saw a lot of that today. Pickers is a fan place to look.

Cute finds! Antiques and adorable gifts galore.

Was in there today looking for dressers. I found a set (dresser, chest, and nightstand) in a dark navy blue with dark brown top in a back booth. I FELL IN LOVE!!! Went up to the front desk and asked the girl at the counter if she could call the renters of the booth to see if they would negotiate the price. She said no we dont do that here. Ive never heard of a counter person being able to speak for a booth renter on if they want to sell their product or not. For that matter, Ive never heard of a consignment place not willing to negotiate. Every place that had been a consignment shop where I shopped they call the owners to see if the price is negotiable. EVERY TIME!!! I was willing to pay right then and there. Im so disappointed in them if this is their policy. And if its not, they just lost someone who rents a booth from them $1000.

This is my favorite store to shop! As small as it looks from the outside you better make time because it is really big inside. Very good prices on very well painted and solid furniture. A lot of one of a kind handmade items. You can go once a week because there are always a lot of new things. If they keep it up I will have to buy a bigger house.The staff is extremely nice and very helpful!

Great place to find that special piece you need for your home.

Used to have a large variety of handmade and refurbished items when I frequented there often a few years ago. I loved this place and could spend an hour in there each time. I changed jobs and didnt get that way much but made a trip to check it out and was highly disappointed at the lack of variety now. Too many booths with the same concepts and design styles. Too many booths that look like they tried harder on decorating their booth than on their items. If you want to shop 99% similarly styled refurbished furniture, this is likely the place for you. Also, please learn what HIPAA is and who it applies to before putting conspiracy theory BS on your door.

Go here NOW! Its amazing. This is coming from someone who hates antique stores. I was looking for thrift-store-priced furniture and Id never been in this store before. First, its much bigger on the inside than it looks. Theres lots to explore. Second, its packed with items of all kinds, from dishes to signs to furniture. Theres even a sweets shop inside. I guarantee youll find something you like. I bought a shelf (not pictured) and I almost bought the blue shelf in the photo. It might still be there!

This place has all you could ever want or need. From rustic farmhouse decor to homemade items. All tastes are accounted for here and the prices can not be beat! They are so many classes as well. I did an acrylic pour class recently and they did so well at explaining and provided all the materials:) they definitely have something for everyone.

Cool place but way overpriced and they charged me double for my purchases. Couldn’t find my receipt for a refund but they said it happens all the time?? Why is that?? Won’t be back. Reaponse to owner: it was a few weeks ago. I had to put my card in twice and the guy checking me out said I hope it doesn’t double charge you customers get mad when that happens which means it happens to more than just me. By the time I saw it on my bank acct the receipt had been thrown away so I didn’t ask for a refund but now I’m being called a liar.

They truly think of themselves as an outstanding booth rental business with a very large amount of vendors. It was hands down the most disappointing and extremely high priced items that I have seen before and with little exception of two booths that had a great variety of items. A wasted day trip.

Very nice flea market flip style marketplace. Not many antiques and more centered towards farmhouse and southern living style decor. There are also several artisan booths including a stained glass vendor and a laser wood engraver. Definitely a great place to visit if you are looking for some home decor at an affordable price!

My daughter-in-law and I took a painting class here. It was a lot of fun! We are both inexperienced painters, and I think we did pretty good! The instructor was thorough in her explanations, though the 2 hour time limit didnt allow for falling behind like I did. She was gracious and allowed me to stay afterward to finish. I really appreciated that. Wed both like to do another class sometime.

I started out as a shopper at this store, and now I am a vendor! Yay! Our store has so much to offer, and such a great vibe from everyone you meet! The booths are different and fun, and our classes are the best! During the school year, I try to teach one class a week and they are so varied on the topics we cover! Here is the good part...I was able to put a beautiful white bedroom set, complete with Chest, dresser & 2 nightstands- a beautiful set on lay away (for $900 total) but the woman who helped me made me feel uncomfortable... Lets just say...theyll get the other 3 stars over the next few weeks AFTER I get it out of lay away.. 🤔

My passion and past-time is finding the great finds that pickers have found. There is still a bit of work sorting through all the vendors to find that ideal find. This is one of the better places in town to come across some real gems and beauties.. I tinker with the mechanical antiques and there is one vendor there that keeps an eye out for me in bringing some great pieces back for sale from his picking journeys. I enjoy the atmosphere and talking shop with the vendors.

One of the best antique thrift stores Ive ever been to! Great selections great craftsmanship.

I was a vendor there for almost a year and when I moved out I was unable to get three larger pieces. I told the girl up front I would be back as soon as my husband could come get them. When I returned I was told by a rude employee they had sold one of my pieces, and the other 2 had tags on them being sold by the store itself! In a time when people don’t have jobs a store that depends on vendors to stay open is taking money for themselves, just sad!

I was only there for about 29 minutes (I was looking for something specific), but I walked around to check the place out. There are lots of great booths there, with just about every little (or bigger) thing you might expect to find in a picker place. They also had coffee, candy, and restrooms. There is plenty of room in the aisles and everyone I meet was very pleasant. Ill come back.

I fell in love with UP the minute I walked through the doors! It’s not your grandma’s antique shop. Yes, it has some great antiques and collectibles, but has so much more... painted furniture, unique home decor, fun collectibles...as well as, homemade soaps, lotions, bath bombs, jewelry,; cute boutique tops, local t-shirts and kids clothes .. they truly have something for everyone! ...even a candy shop! And, if your looking for a fun activity, they offer classes that are hosted by local artists! Definitely a one-of-a-kind place you should check out!

I have been patronizing University Pickers for almost 4 years come April 2018. During that time, I have NEVER had a bad experience (4 years, thats a lot of nevers). The Staff is Very friendly, ready to assist you at a moments notice. The individual booths are well spaced & well played out. The atmosphere is warm & the entire store is well lit; there are no dark spots or dark corners throughout the store. The bathrooms are very spacious & Clean (yes, bathrooms are actually provided for their customers, imagine that). Products are Home Decor, many of them built by Craftsman & Artists; Artwork consisting of Original Oil Paintings, Water Colors & High Quality Reproductions; Clothing, ranging from tee shirts to dresses & jackets & related accessories; several Vendors sell Home Made Soap & assorted Bath Products; a variety of Vintage items & Collectables with some Antiques including Furniture. Speaking of Antiques, there is an entire section dedicated to paints & stains used in the restoration of Furniture & Picture & Painting Frames, with an assortment of specialized paint brushes to assist in the restoration process. They have since added (modernized) a break area with chairs, tables, food, beverages & FREE Coffee! I believe University Pickers has something for everybody; that is why it is COMMON to see families shopping here. My only complaint is that University Pickers is located in a Strip Mall & shares the already limited parking space with other very busy stores, who guard their parking spots attentively, threatening would-be University Pickers Shoppers with Tow Away signs should they park in the wrong spot; wish there was a way to resolve the Parking situation. But there are bigger problems in the world, then to fret over parking space. If you have not visited University Pickers, check them out; I believe you will have a good time.

Even after COVID19, this store is still doing well.

My wife and I went here for the first time. All of our friends and family love this place. We were impressed and will definitely be back.

I love the variety of booth styles at this mall. I have bought several items (some large, some small) from different booths and they have been quality pieces.The staff has been friendly and kind every time I have been in.I love that they post pictures on their Facebook page since I live about 35 minutes away and cant get over as often as I would like.

I was blown away by the quality and selection offered at this store. There was truly something custom for every price range. Big kudos to the staff for being incredibly helpful, personable, and cheerful.Personal experience:I came to University Pickers looking for a gift to give to my wife. I was very specific with the staff about what I wanted, rings. They went above and beyond telling me exactly where I could find rings from each vendor. In and out on my lunch break! Superb job and you bet I will be going back!

I love the selection and have bought multiple things, including a really lovely set of furniture from here (tables, chairs, etc). That being said, I used one of their preferred movers. He showed up to move the items on the agreed upon day on the ticket and received every piece of furniture except one. When he showed up without it, I called the store and the person on the phone just told me they had lost it and couldnt find it. They had a rude tone and issued no apology or possible solution. I ended up having to come down there and they were able to locate the table.On another occasion, I came in to pay off my layaway balance on a larger set and the person working the register couldnt find it logged under my name, and had to match my item to my receipt/remaining balance left - despite the fact that when I put the initial deposit down I was promised it would be searchable by my name in the future when I come in to pay off the rest or when I send a mover in.Nice store if you like cute, custom painted furniture, antique furniture, decorations, etc ... but I will probably be skeptical of purchases in the future.

My family and I have a booth here called Heron Bay Marketplace. We love working with the staff and owners as we work to offer repurposed and refurbished home decor along with a few collectibles for fun. Mostly, I love shopping here! Its always my first stop when I need a gift or a new piece for my home or DIY supplies. The vendors here are so creative and theres such a wide variety of styles available that Im usually successful at finding that perfect piece!
