This is the second time we have taken our truck to pro auto.The first time we had an oil leak from an unknown source and they were able to identify and fix.The second time the truck would not start for unknown reasons and they were able to find the problem and fix it without it being weeks on end.Everytime I call I know that they are going to get me in as quick as they can and get my vehicle back to me in a reasonable amount of time without it breaking the bank! Glad we found them!

Lee and his team of mechanics did a fantastic job with both my Toyota trucks (Tacoma and Tundra) and my Buick. They did a wonderful job of making sure that all my issues were taken care of and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need like some other shops Ive been to. I took my car in to have the convertible top motor repaired.I had spoken with the shop prior to the repair, and they assured me that they knew how to do it.After 7 weeks, I was charged for 1 hours worth of labor, told pick up my car (NOT fixed), and it was damaged in other ways that it had not been before.1. I was asked to purchase a 250 dollar ICE module that was not broken to begin with, AND they could not (for 4 weeks afterwards) get the new module to work. (They even tried to tell me that the new part was broken, and were unable to produce the old one).2. When I picked up the car, it had 6 miles to empty. I dropped the car off with at least a half tank of gas.3. The cover to the fuses was off, and had fallen into the engine well, and was being battered around by the cooling fan.4. 100 extra miles on the car.5. The electrical system had not been reset (no radio, only half of the running lights, etc were working)6. My trunk no longer latches (not sure what they did there)7. My fob locks, trunk release, etc no longer work.So, basically, I was charged 125 bucks, to have someone else break my car further, and drive all of the gas out of it.Over a period of 7 weeks.I had to give one star to leave this review, but one is too many.In response to the false statements, note:1. Having to have the electrical system reset, because only half of it was working.2. Trunk, locks, fob, etc3. The prior mechanic has stated, in fact, that the module was fine, and that he had gotten it to move, but didnt have the equipment (a tech2) to finish the job. Yes, the new one was rebuilt (by a certified Saab technician (Moose Proof Auto in Tennessee...hell happily stand by his work))4. I did ask for the old module (next time Ill push the issue)5.Or that it took 7 weeks (there was approximately 12 days in shipping of parts)What exactly did I misrepresent?

Lee (the owner) was great. He would call and give status updates on my vehicle, even though I knew it would take several days for my repairs. If you have an extended auto warranty, they have experience working with auto warranties. Everything was done between Pro Auto and my Auto Warranty company. I didnt need to get involved much.I live in TN and it was well worth the time to bring my vehicle to Huntsville AL. The staff is friendly and they have great communication. Most important, the work got done correctly the first time. I hope you dont get offended. I hope we dont see each other again, unless Im getting that check engine light on my vehicle, lol. Thanks

I had hit a deer one Wednesday morning and I called them to pull me out of the ditch, and the tow truck driver bent the back axle of my car and they fixed it free of charge. So I will say they are honest.

Lee treated my buddy wrong, falsely accused him of multiple things and was very “stressed” out every time and only complained, not only when he went in but when I went in as well for a quote and was the same way. Poor customer service, Lee can’t even control his emotions, shouldn’t be running a company if you can’t control yourself.

Very thorough. I asked for an oil change, asked about replacing a part I had been told was faulty, and asked for an inspection and help making a plan to get the car back on its routine maintenance calendar. Did the oil change quickly, did a thorough inspection, and would not sell me service I didnt need on a part that was not yet in need of replacement. Likely to become my go-to service center. Very pleased.

We brought our Hyundai Elantra first to the local dealer as we were concern about a noise seemingly coming from the front wheels. The dealer wanted to blame it on the brakes so they switched them out, and sent us home with the same noise. We purchased the car used so it wasnt under warrantee, but believed the dealer would be the most qualified to service the car. We were mistaken. Then we brought it then to Pro Auto, and they did a much more thorough evaluation. They informed us it was the transmission causing the noise as it was beginning to fail. They replaced the transmission with a used one with a one year warranty, and now the noise is gone and we were very happy with their work and customer service. I would recommend you bring your car first to Pro Auto! I intend to continue using Pro Auto for all my cars.

When I found this shop I thought I had found the right place to take my Bentley but when they couldnt diagnose something that had gone wrong while in their hands I kept taking it back for them to fix it and then finally he just said referring to the owner whose name is Lee he said Im not going to fix it you come and get your car, and I try to reason with him to go ahead on and take his time and try to find out why the temperature hand kept moving from left to right in a matter if seconds. he said no you can come on and get it now or else Im going to leave it sitting in the parking lot with the key in it over night.leave it outside the gate with the key in it thats bad customer service I felt overcharged for the services that they rendered but I want only paid it I advise anyone not to take their car to this company.

Awesome experience at pro auto. Took in my 94 Buick regal for routine maintenance. I am a little bit of a mechanic myself, but Ive gotten to old to do my own maintenance. This regal has 286,000 miles on it and the engine is the big 3.8L V6. The guys at pro auto really did a great job. Old lady up front was very nice to me while I waited on my car. They did an oil change, changed my plugs, ran some c foam through the motor, and tested my brakes. Fast service and good price! I recommend this place to all. When I pulled my regal out on the parkway after the service, it felt like it had 3 times the power! Awesome job to the guys at pro auto. You have my approval!

Seems to me the owner (DJ LEE) spends more time replying back to negative reviews then he does tearing up cars. Took my vehicle there for a diagnostic/tune up--oil change, fluid change, etc. Left with a broken car. I spent all my time explaining the actual situation to BBB. Ive read the good reviews. Im happy they provided a decent service to some folks. The bad reviews Ive read ring my bell. Rude, unprofessional, threatening, etc. From DJ LEE and wife up front. This place is how hometown mechanics got a bad name. I will sit and wait for DJ to reply back. You know hes not working on no cars..I gave the amount of stars I predict this business will actually be in business. Getting ready for owner reply cause she yelled it at me when I left Weve been in business 7+ years and have worked hard to regain peoples trust. My thought was what did you do to have to regain the trust in the first place. SMH.

A coworker recommended Pro Auto to me after I couldnt get in to the dealership for a car diagnosis. We took my Cadillac SRX out there on a Friday morning and Lee and his team had it fixed and ready for me Monday morning. I was having issues with my ventilated/heated seats and the power function on the drivers seat. I feared there would be an expensive part that needed to be ordered, but they were able to see it was just a bad connection under the seats. I couldnt be happier with my experience with Pro Auto and Im happy to say we have a shop in town to take our cars to. Fair and honest people.

After researching car repair businesses that could take care of my Caterham Super 7 I decided that Pro Auto seemed best suited to get the motor of my Caterham running again. I trailered my car 3 hours from my home to Huntsville and was not disappointed. Lee Kearns and his team were able to get the (difficult to find) part and got the car running before the promised date and that at a very reasonable cost. Kudos to Pro Auto. Pro Auto is the best auto shop in North Alabama. The owner, Lee, and his staff of expertly trained mechanics have serviced all 5 of my vehicles over many years. Pro Auto performs the highest quality work, problems are diagnosed and fixed right the first time, and the prices are much cheaper than anywhere Ive taken my vehicles in the 40 years of driving. The shop floor is beautiful - neat and fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Pro Autos demonstrated integrity and commitment to quality is beyond reproach. As an example, I brought my 2003 Honda Accord into Lee (owner) to have a new transmission installed due to horrible vibration during gear changes, but Lee suggested I order a $10 transmission shutter lubricant off Amazon, and it completely fixed my problem. Pro Auto has life long customers with my family, and were tough cookies to please.

Its hard to find a good and honest mechanic now a days, but Lee at Pro Auto was the single bestechanic that I ever had the pleasure to deal with throughout my entire experience with them. I brought my 370z Nismo there with oil problems that went untreated at 2 other shops, including a dealership and within a week Lee and his team had researched the issue and offered a detailed solution. Within the next week it was complete and my car ran like nothing was ever wrong with it. Lee said to me that he does things the way he would want his mechanic to, and it shows. I can not recommend Pro Auto enough!

Four years ago I took my Mercedes to ProAuto for inspection....a year after my warranty had run out. After the complete inspection, I was told that all my car needed was an oil and filter change! I knew immediately I had found an honest auto service center I could trust. They could have claimed my car needed thousands of dollars of maintenance and I would have not known the difference. Since that day four years ago, I have taken both my vehicles to Lee, and rest assured I can trust him and his experienced staff to treat me as a valued customer. Warning! This service is not competent for foreign or luxury vehicle repair. Owner is a Karaoke DJ and mechanics are poorly trained. They assured me they could repair a brake line leak and check the speedometer on my Rolls Royce Silver Spur. I asked the owner if they had to remove the dash to get to the speedometer. He told me he didnt know, but, he would ask the mechanic and call me later that day. He didnt call me until a few days later and said they would have to remove the wooden dash to fix the speedometer and he couldnt guarantee they could remove it without cracking it. I told him not to attempt to remove the dash and cancel the speedometer repair. When I picked up my car a week later and got it home, the brake line was leaking even worse and when I checked the dash, there were 6 cracks around the removal screws. I called ProAuto and complained that I still had the leak and my dash now had cracks in it. The owner told me they had not touched the dash. I know this was a lie, because my friend convinced me I should take time-stamped photos of the dash when I left the car and time-stamped photos when we got it home and discovered the cracks. Bottom line, my car had not been repaired and my beautiful wooden dash now had cracks in it. To save face, the owner returned what he had charged me. But they still ruined my cars pristine dash. Do not deal with anyone that lies to you. They are not even worthy of one star. Check Angies List and the BBB before giving this place any business.

Lee and the folks at ProAuto are genuinely good people! They are honest, hard-working, reliable, and have fair prices. They have worked on all of our vehicles to include clutch assemblies, timing chains, tires, tune-ups, oil changes, and radiator replacements. Now our Suburban is losing coolant and needs an oil pressure gauge replaced. We wouldnt have anybody else do the work!

I brought my Saab here and told them that my engine kept flooding, the car would smoke very badly, and it wasn’t accelerating like it should be. So they did a diagnostic and I was told my computer was bad and they could fix it, so I agreed to let them do the work. The guy originally told me the process would take about a week... so 3 WEEKS later (3 weeks and 2 days to be exact) I finally get my car back. I had to keep calling, otherwise I wouldn’t have even known what the hold up was. No one reached out to me to update me on what was taking so long and no one apologized for the inconvenience. But anyway fast forward 3 weeks later my car is finally ready so I pick it up and pay the $960 dollars. The very next day my engine floods AGAIN just like it was doing before. A few days later my car is smoking badly, won’t start, and pretty much doing exactly what it was doing before. I couldn’t even drive it and I didn’t want to put anymore money into it, so it’s useless now and I have to now get a whole new car. So basically I paid these guys almost $1000 for my car to work for a few hours. I feel like I was hustled. I called the Monday after and got no answer. Oh well you live and you learn!

DO NOT GO HERE!!.....CROOKS......I had the worst experience here!...My lincoln ls started running hot. Took it to pro auto and was told it was the water pump and it would cost $314.00 to fix....I thought that was...i guess decent in price... I called them and they told me that they replaced the water pump, but now it is a pipe that has a little leak and it will be an additional $430.00. I was like NO....i said since its a little leak i would try to see if it will really affect the car performance. Besides i was quoted a $314.00 for a waterpump problem...i come pick it up all of sudden its not ready. Came back, drove it for two days. More antifreeze gushed out the bottom of the car than before.....Im going up there in the morning and i will post a update!.....But as of right now...DO NOT GO HERE!..

The short; I could not recommend Pro Auto enough! Clean, friendly and respectful atmosphere.The long; I approached them when a home repair went a little sideways on me. After explaining the issue, the owner confidently assured me that fixing it would not be an issue... After being turned down by 3 other garages, I knew I was finally in the right place.When I picked up my truck, Lee informed me about a few other minor issues he suggested I address without any kind of attached sales pitch and he took the time to educate me about what he had done.I have had my truck back as a daily driver for a month now, and it has never run better since I have owned it. Attention to detail here is lacking.Let me preface this review by saying the customer service I received at Pro Auto was excellent. Every person I interacted to with at the shop was kind, which leaves a great impression for a first time customer such as myself. Unfortunately, the actual car work left something to be desired.I came to Pro Auto at the recommendation of my insurance claim adjuster, who told me he was familiar with the shop owner and had used them before and they did great work for him in the past. I needed to get my wheels and tires replaced (with reconditioned wheels due to the damage on mine) and a balance & alignment. The owner and I spoke over the phone and he explained that he had ordered some parts and would have me back up and running in no time. A few days later, he called me and let me know that he had to fix a few other things (ball bearings I think...) because the alignment machine wasnt running the right numbers and my front wheel was angled incorrectly. No big deal, and I appreciated the correspondence.I went to pick up my car the next day and noticed that the wheels they placed on my car were used (instead of reconditioned). They had damage and road rash and paint chips, and one of them had an eBay sticker on it. I had specifically requested that both wheels be replaced because I didnt want to have damaged wheels, and on the receipt I had been charged for reconditioned wheels. I gave the insurance adjuster a call and he had a look at my wheels and he was just as surprised as I was. He told me he would follow up and get it taken care of. By the next business day, I got a call from the owner of Pro Auto and he was very apologetic about the mistake and said he would get it taken care of right away. I brought my car back in, and he bumped me to the top of the queue and got my car in and out with reconditioned tires put on it within an hour. He also admitted that the mechanics had made the additional mistake of putting both the new tires on the passenger side of my car instead of putting them both on the front--I appreciated his honesty and him making sure that the work got done correctly this time around.With that being said, I still have to give them a 2-star review, because that level of attention to detail is unacceptable when it comes to things like vehicles. If something as visible as replacing wheels on a car could be done incorrectly, I can only imagine what other less-visible mistakes could have been made. I want to have full confidence that my 3,000lb speeding bullet has been maintained properly. I cant trust a shop that could pay so little attention to detail to the very things that keep me on the ground (wheels and tires). Furthermore, what if I hadnt checked the wheels? I would have paid for a service that I did not receive, which isnt fair to me as the customer. Also, this shop is all the way on the north side of the city, and I live all the way in South huntsville, so it is an inconvenience to me to have to drive 40minutes round trip to have this mistake addressed. With all that being said, though they were kind, I would not return to Pro Auto for work in the future.Edited in response to owner: I am of the opinion that carelessness will ALWAYS be a safety issue when it comes to working on vehicles. Would you trust a doctor who wasnt able to handle the simplest parts of his job such as getting the needle into your vein without missing? If a doctor cant handle the most basic aspects of his job, I would have zero confidence in his ability to do more complex procedures, and I would not return as a patient. The same applies to vehicle maintenance. Its all attention to detail.

Now that Ive found this place I wont take my car anywhere else to be serviced as long as I live in the Huntsville area. Lee and his crew are solely concerned about getting the vehicle running properly and they arent worried just about making money

Mike and Lee are my go to team for my auto repairs on any of my vehicles from oil changes to diagnosis, to major repairs. They are timely in the repairs, knowable in what they do, take the time to explain what is wrong, explain how they intend to perform the repair, and most importantly budget cautious - if they dont think a repair needs to be done they tell you that. Great customer service. For example, I had ProAuto install an engine over a year ago in a F150 and recently noticed a small amount of anti-freeze on the drive way. I dropped the truck off and they discovered that the new water pump they installed with the engine had a faulty o-ring seal. They installed a new water pump, all under warranty. I will continue to use ProAuto and recommend them to others.

A mechanic that is honest and has fair prices, that would be Pro Auto. Not only will they talk to you, but they will explain whats going on... I have found my mechanic!!!!

Honest people. They fix what needs to be fixed and dont try to talk you in to repairing what doesnt need repairing. I will be coming back.
