Its a great place and the meat prices are really good

I MISS this store. I lived in Huntsville for almost a decade, have since moved to TN. This place was always super clean, amazing value and staff/owners incredibly pleasant. Fresh, quality meat/product for great prices. I still swing thru sometimes to stock up cuz its worth the four hour round trip drive to me.

Love this place they have all kinds of great stuff for Frozen and fresh and a lot of the things you need like plastic bags storage bags seasonings pickled things sauces and other stuff too check it out!

Everything here looked so fresh! Im cooking some of their slab bacon right now. They had a great selection of meat bones for broth making and seasoning at good prices. I will be back.

This place is small and amazing. You wont believe the professionally cut meats, perfect ambiance of seasonings and other items available here. The staff is personable and just simply amazing. I always find what Im are looking for. Although it doesnt look busy all the time. IT IS BUSY IN SPURTS. One minute the parking lot will be full the next its a ghost town. It is better to stop by in the mornings. Its very well stocked during the A.M hours. But anytime you go they will cater to your needs if necessary they are delightful that way.I found this place a few years back and have told all my friends about them.The cashiers are always nice and never too stingy to share tips and personal recipes. This place is often overlooked but the meat here is always reasonably priced. I always forget to review because Im in and out so quick. The variety is amazing. You wont regret stopping by to pick up fresh meats. I didnt really realize the scope of items available.(2nd edit)There are also butcher boxes available. Its a box to fit all family sizes. I have found that the owners are loyal to the community it serves. If your not getting your meat here your missing out. They have frozen fish boxes thatcare enormous. Also chicken, beef, pork and vegetables just to name a few. There is much much more I didnt mention. Check them out you wont be disappointed. Top quality products. I dont know which rancher they buy from, but that rancher is taking top care of his animals. I have never had such great meat anywhere else. If you are a serious cook and want Dave Ramsey quality ingredients, this is your store. Forget buying meat anywhere else.Ive been buying from them for about FOUR years now and consistently my family knows when they provided the meat.Youre crazy to buy anywhere else.Their employees are knowledgeable and courteous as well. Last trip I didnt see fat back but I asked and in about 3 minutes their butcher walked out with FRESH fat back which I am cooking as I write this.Again, if you are passionate about cooking, you need the best ingredients. This shop provides the best 5 star ingredients for 100 miles.

I was gifted a ham for Thanksgiving, and my family and I agreed that it was the best ham we had ever had before! Picking up the pre-ordered ham was quick and easy, though parking at the shop is very limited. I highly recommend Rocket City Meats for their friendly service and top quality meats and will plan on getting more from them in the future!

I would highly recommend Rocket City Meats. They have great prices on all of their meats. The meat we get there has always been very good. They have a very nice, warm and welcoming staff that go above and beyond to answer question or simply to help you find what you are looking for. It’s a nice clean store and it smells really good when you walk in. I never feel like I’m in a meat market. Good Job to you all. I will definitely be a regular customer.

I was disappointed in my visit to Rocket City Meats. Let me start by saying that I was expecting a butcher store that had a counter you could order exactly what you wanted, and they do not have that. So, it is my own fault for having that expectation and it not being met. Instead, everything is pre-portioned and pre-packaged. That is fine for some people, and I understand that. Unfortunately, I am a party of one, and I dont need meat for 2-4 people or even more than that with their large quantity items for sale. All that leads into why I went into the store in the first place: I wanted a half chicken. After going to Kroger and Whole Foods, who did not have what I was looking for, I surely figured a butcher shop would have this item. When I asked the worker if there was a way to get a half chicken, she just said, no. (Which is weird because in previous reviews this was possible). Oh well. I truly wish nothing but the best for the store, but I also wanted to share my experience.

I went there for catfish. My family always enjoy the fish from here and i enjoy the prices.

Excellent market with a wide assortment of meats to include beef, pork, duck, rabbit, and alligator. Of course chicken and all kinds of fish. Plus a great assortment of fresh frozen vegetables. Also, theyll cut whole chickens in half whic makes them perfect for the grill!

Super friendly service, Great merchandise, and even better prices! Will be making many more trips to see you. I save enough money to drive the 50 plus miles. They will even help you load it in your car, a nice touch that happens far less often now days at those big stores. Thank you, Rocket City Meats!

Great meat, great prices. Frozen vegetable and other things will help you to round out the meal. Also they carry stuff that you cant get anywhere else, such as handcrafted hot sauce from Mississippi.

I called to ask about a case of chicken wings, and asked how many (rough estimate) were in a 40lb. case. The woman on the phones response was, Well, its 40lbs. Ive never stood there and counted them. in a sarcastic I really dont want to help you. tone. When I went in the next day to make a purchase, no one was at the front. I stood there for awhile, and finally drove around back to the office where a lady there had to page someone to help me. When I went back to the front, the woman there was not polite at all. The looks from her and another woman standing there made me feel like they didnt want my business. I purchased anyway, and when I cleaned the chicken I noticed that the joint part of every drum had been cut off, leaving just the meaty part at the top. We will not shop here anymore, considering the all-around disappointing experience. We are small business owners here as well, and good customer service goes a long way.

My favorite meat store in Alabama... as a Samoan its hard to find curtain meats for curtain dishes...the only place thats got everything Walmart,Krogers,Sams club etc dont have... customer service is straight family....

First time going there and was impressed. The store was clean and well stocked. Prices were ok not the cheapest store but not totally out of sight. Ill up date the quality of the meat when i cook some of it.

They have amazing meat and the their employees are so kind and helpful. I never have a bad thing to say about them or the food. Would definitely recommend it.

The place was clean and staff was friendly. I dont understand others posts. Maybe they just are not use to a meat market. Price was great. I even bought my dogs a bone while I was there. Grilling the 4 Ribeyes I bought for $13 tonight. Only thing I didnt like was the pickled sausage I bought, and that was a name brand I seldom do like. Not the fault of the vender. This place is great and I will be returning soon. The also have package deals. Just ask at the register for a flyer. Also went home with a pamphlet with great recipe ideals.

I like this place but I have gotten rotten meat from them sausages to be exact I had also got hamburger,steak and it was bleeding everywhere all out all over me and the cart she had to call them from the back to re package them and clean up she apologized but its unsanitary and shouldnt happen its animals blood for crying out loud I used to shop here every week but once I started seeing some of the meat looked spoiled I now only buy boxed foods definitely need to be more clean I wouldnt be surprised if someone got sick from their food its possible from the way things are looking
