NEVER USE! Run! Do not use this company under any circumstances. They do bad work, dont know what they are doing and are trying to scam you. When they screwed up my installation they told me I had a 90 day money back guarantee - and someone would come out to fix it. But after 23 days and no contact/service I tried to cancel. They were clearly just stalling so that they could tell me the contract indicated I had to cancel in three days. So now they want hundreds of dollars to cancel. I asked the rep to go the recording where they told me I had 90 days - and he refused. and said it didnt matter - they just wanted their money and I was out of luck.

The installation went very well. We feel very safe and secure when we go to bed at night. Having the alarm system installed makes our family feel a little more a peace.

Joey was very professional yet down to earth and make me feel comfortable during the whole process he explained everything as he installed the new system and demonstrated how to work all the features and left no questions on answered he was truly an asset to the defenders company for ADT.

My father in law in Alexandria, Va had an alarm system with a bad fire sensor. We called ADT and they sent this company. ADT said they could monitor using existing equipment. This company showed up and sold him $3,000 of equipment he did not need! This company is predatory in oricing and practices. Look at their Yelp reviews. Look for a company that is ethical and not predatory.

Sorry for typos but I have repeated myself multiple times, and I am mentally exhausted dealing with you guys. You have caused me nothing but grief. All I want is peace of mind that Im safe in my home, and all Ive gotten is stress, problem after problem, and losing money.The problems started at my original address. During the installation, not only were the guys creepy, they told me if I ever moved I wouldnt be charged for it. They would just take my equipment and move to new house because I told them my lease is only a year. Also I had to call in about 4 times. One of the batteries went out on the sensor. You guys told me batteries last 3 to 5 years. It went out at 6 months. I was informed of the wrong sensor that had a low battery so when I replaced I kept having issues. OH btw, I was told they couldnt give me notice when the tech would be out. It would be between the hours of 8am and 5pm. So I had to take off the whole day of work. Then near the end of the day I get a call from the tech stating he will be at my place in 30 mins. It gets better. Defenders came out to find it was the wrong sensor. I had spoken to 3 or 4 people at ADT, and they all told me the wrong sensor was out. It took the tech less than 5 minutes to figure this out and get it fixed. Then came the problem of moving and the fee. Countless phone calls and time spent. Told i cant extend contract as well I would have to renew for another 3 years. scam! Spoke with a chase moody who said for all 13 windows and 4 doors its be 49 a month with 0 down for equipment. Called back later and no one can access quote apparently only Chase Moody can. Found employee and the rep said Chase would call me back and he never did. Then told quote no good. So finally got a little relief from someone who finally got their manager (i had to call the loyalty department myself and was transferred 3 times) gave me a small amount of money to take off for equipment and would give me card for transfer fee. Defenders was suppose to show up at my apartment to uninstall and then install to house. Guess what, they went to house. So had to deal with that during my doctor appointment. So they get to apartment then do transfer to house. Told me a list of things he would do, and yet he didnt do all of them. AND wow I find I have to pay over 2 grand for equipment, actually over 3 grand with no discount. Then when I ask about monthly fees says I have to talk to billing. So quote that was given was no good. Was told since cats are under 60 lbs I wouldnt have to worry about motion sensor. Go to a movie, silent my phone. Get out of movie, cops had been to my place because motion sensor went off.Just problem after problem and you guys taking my money. On one call I had to defend myself being a human being and not a cash machine. You have devastated my mental health. I broke down in tears and had an anxiety attack. No one takes ownership or responsibility and no one will help me.This is a brief version as I could go into more detail.Trust me I didnt get every detail in here. So got a call from manager who said would do certain things to make this right. Told me she would send an email to verify. Never got email. So email her. Then right before they close get email from her that isnt right. One of the refunds was NOT what we talked about. And our conversation was recorded. Called AND emailed back and no response. My blood pressure has shot through the roof. Yet again told one thing then told another. Idk if they are trying to drag me through the mud because after the 31st I can no longer return the equipment. Im done. I cant do this anymore. You cant treat people like this. Imagine calling a company and having to DEFEND yourself as a person that feels. Its so unethical and downright degrading. #ADT

Chris was kind and knowledgeable. While keeping our needs and requests in mind, he did not push to sell me on things I was not interested in. While he was here for a full 6 hours, he was always very professional.

The refuse to send a tech to my house to replace the battery in my external siren, because 1.5 hours is too far to send a tech to replace a battery.
