I have been bringing my vehicles for here for almost three years. Unfortunately I had a tire alignment done recently and they can’t seem to get it right. No matter how many times I take my vehicle in they say it’s aligned and it’s straight. However the wheel is still a few degrees off to the left. It’s not off by much but it’s the principle of paying $147 for a service and the service being sub par at best. I also heard the gentleman at the front counter tell another customer they used to just unplug the phones when they received a lot of calls. This laziness is a prime example of the work that was done on my truck. I do believe the workers there possess the knowledge to do good work, it just seems like a work ethic issue. Anyway I will be taking my vehicles elsewhere for further service.

I came in as a walk-in appointment today because I was long overdue for an oil change. I was greeted by Brian, who got me in super fast and was honest about the wait time (only about hour, which wasn’t a big deal to me!). No one tried to pressure me into any additional or unnecessary services, and my car was in and out of the service bay really fast. Also shout out to the tech who worked on my car (J. Thomas on the invoice I received) for doing such an awesome job!

I was almost 30 mins late because I was traveling, & was told I would have at least an hour wait or longer, well I needed my oil changed so of course I waited. Well it didnt take that long at all, I do believe I was out of the in less than an hour. Thanks guys, you always do a great job.

They checked out my tires and made me feel better about a tire pressure light that wouldn’t go out.

I had my wife go here for a brake job while I was away. She said that she had been hearing noises from the rear brakes. She sent me a picture of the pads and I could tell they where worn. She went in, and the replaced both rear wheel calipers, rotors and pads. The tech on the phone, I believe Brian was very friendly and helpful. Anyway, brakes get done, wife leaves and we’re happy. Simple service don’t really expect much more then that right? Well, wife calls me the next week and tells me that it’s making a noise from the rear area still. I assume it’s probably a wheel bearing or something with the exhaust. I get home, Take it for a drive. I notice it makes the sound, but stops making the sound whenever I tap the brake. Now I know it must be something with the brakes. I take the wheel apart to just look, and I realize the caliper is not secured. The bolt holding the caliper (not the pad bolt) had no torque on it. This was allowing the caliper to move while driving, creating that noise as you drive. Tightened the bolt up, then torqued it. I then looked over everything else to see if they missed anything. Everything else looked fine. I called them to let them know, and they where pretty friendly about it and where willing to look it over again. I get everyone makes mistakes, but I won’t bring my vehicles back here again and can’t recommend to anyone else to do so. I’m not sure if they had a bad torque wrench that day and it vibrated loose because it wasn’t toques to spec, or if they just soft mounted it and forgot to torque it. Shouldn’t happen on a $600 brake job. Other then that, the techs are nice to talk to and customer service is great. But I’d rather have a safe vehicle for my wife to drive around in then talk to someone nice on the phone.

I get synthetic oil, I know it lasts more than the 3000 miles put on my sticker, be honest

Today was my first time getting my car fixed at Mr. Tire Auto Service, and I had an awesome first experience. The guy in the front was very helpful and friendly. I was especially amazed at the great customer service from Chris, who fixed my shocks, struts, belt, and did my oil change. He was super informative, patient, extremely helpful, attentive and kind. He went above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service. One of the best mechanics Ive ever been to.

One gentleman was very rude and clearly unhappy that I was ok with leaving my car for an inspection even though I was quoted a two hour wait. (It didn’t take nearly that long either). He even told his partner something to the effect of “we wouldn’t have to find that form you need if we weren’t being asked to” and glared at me. the really absurd thing was that I visited my dad the next day and Fortunately he looked under my hood and found that my battery was dented, leaking and had about an inch of battery acid corrosion caked over the top. I was just about to leave for a long work road trip so I’m glad we could get this fixed before I was left stranded or worse. I could not fathom that these men either didn’t look under the hood once or simply chose not to tell me. At best they lost an easy sale or and at worst they endangered my life because of laziness.

This place was the only shop that did not try to rip me off. They actually took their time unlike NTB across the street to diagnose my tire issue. They also guaranteed their work. Great 👍 customer service 👏

I havent been there in a while due to a bad experience with a previous manager. Stopped by today due to a nail in my tire and asked if they had time to fix it. Forgive me i forget his name, the assistant manager replied, Absolutely! . They not only patched the tire i requested but, found another tire with a nail in it and repaired it as well. My work requires me to drive many miles each day and my livelihood depends on it. I trust the current crew there and will use them exclusively from now on.The business card from the technician was an awesome touch! Keep up the good work!

I came in for a general check-up on my vehicle because Ive been hearing some noise. Chris at the front desk was super cool and very helpful, the mechanic explain a few things I could do to help maintain my vehicle. Overall great experience definitely my go-to for all repairs now

Awesome service I drive out of my way to go to these guys. Very informative. The first time I had car issues I sent to them because they were the closest. Turned out my transmission was busted. They did research, called my dealership, etc and actually coordinated my car to get a free transmission replacement from the dealership. They could have easily made a bunch of money off me but instead they did the moral thing (in my opinion) at their expense. Since then I never got anywhere else.

I took my van in for a coolant leak Chris told me it was a clamp and it would be 310 dollars. I had to have my van that night so I told them to fix it. They told me it would be done by 2pm and then I show up at 2pm and my van still was not done. I waited another 3 hours till they got my van done. I went to another shop for oil change because of the horrible service got here. When I was at other shop which was the old crew from here they showed me that when they did the clamp where it was at they broke my cruise control cable, my blender for the coolant, and left bolts off my transmission dipstick tube I was in formed. The cable they broke is a dealer only item I have been told. I will be calling customer service on Monday I have waited on the phone today over an hour trying to get through to them an no one ever answer phone. The old crew here I never had these problems from and again they charged me 310 dollars for a hose clam. Please stay away from here just horrible.

I have been to Mr. Tire for a couple oil changes, new tires, brakes, turn signal lights, etc. I have never had a bad experience with these gentleman they always get my car in the same day and are very time efficient. Once I had to get back to work while they were replacing my tires before a trip I was making to see some family and they were going to close before I got off so they even offered to drive my car down the street to my work. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I will continue to go to Mr. Tire for all my car needs.

I read the reviews on this place and decided to give them a try. They are exactly the way the reviews describe them: Friendly, Professional, Fast and Efficient!!! I am from New York and needed new tags put on my car as well as getting my car inspected. They put on my tags and explained the proper procedure for out of state inspections. Their explanation was clear, precise and very helpful to me. I highly recommend this company where you are provided overall excellent service!!!!!

I normally do not write reviews, but some things I witnessed while waiting for my vehicle to be worked on made me begin to question how good this shop truly is. This all happened within a 90 minute wait.1. I noticed a customer ask a mechanic to do a little extra work on his vehicle due to the customer not being satisfied with the way a repair had turned out, but the mechanic responded with attitude. The man who is usually at the front desk is very professional in all of his interactions, but it seems like that professional attitude does not transfer over to the other mechanics.2. A young lady walked in and said that even though this very establishment had done repair work on/around the tires of her vehicle (I didnt catch the specifics of what), her vehicle had started smoking (and I think even caught on fire) to the point that she was no longer comfortable driving it. She needed to tow it just to get her vehicle to the repair shop. Repairs had been done not even a week previous and yet the vehicle had already broken down.3. I witnessed a young man be told that a tire pressure sensor that had been replaced in his vehicle was not being accepted by his vehicles computer. Due to that issue, the mechanics recommendation was to take the vehicle to a specialist. What shocked me was finding out that this young man needed to come in on four separate occasions. Those four occasions included almost 10 hours of total driving/waiting time, just to be told to go to a specialist over what seems like such a small issue.4. I saw a first-time customer being rung up after an oil change where the man at the desk asked if their service was worthy of five-stars. After the customer said yes, the man at the desk then asked this customer to pull out their phone and put that five-star review online. It seems as if that is a common practice for this establishment. How accurate can their reviews be if customers are being pressured into giving a five-star review? Reviews which might provide helpful information to future customers are being flushed out by the scores of meaningless reviews being put online by new customers.Although I do not doubt that many people are consistently satisfied with their service from this establishment, there is no business in todays world that is without its flaws. My hope is that by bringing these issues into the publics eye, this information may help someone in the future.

Drove down from New York City and I was desperate to find someone at the last minute to check my tires and change my oil. The dash kept displaying an issue with the pressure despite my attempts to refill the tires. I called Mr. Tires and spoke with Bryan, he was a god send. Despite me calling and arriving a little over an hour prior to closing they were quick and efficient. They resolved my concerns and I was able to continue on my way. Businesses like this truly show what southern hospitality means. Highly recommended, for both its affordability and amazing service.

Ive came here before for my Honda and was very pleased but after the outstanding service I received today this will be designated as my go to place for all of my vehicles needs from now on! My fiancé and I have been coming to this Mr. Tire since we moved to the area about a year ago. Every single employee here is honest, courteous, patient, and extremely educated when it comes to fixing any all car matters. They always take care of their customers and if they are unable to provide the services needed, they are in good standings with a multitude of places around that are equipped to handle any problem you may have. I would recommend Mr. Tire to anyone looking for an affordable, honest, friendly, competent, and reliable place to take their car. I don’t even know where to begin on what I think of Mr. Tire. They are truly amazing! Brian and Johnny have been helping me and my family for four years now! They have fixed the most craziest of things for my vehicle including replacing my entire back axle after being in accident. I always trust driving off the parking lot in a safe-to-drive vehicle after being repaired and having routine maintenance. Mr. Tire is the ONLY place I trust taking our vehicles to. They have such knowledgeable individuals working on the vehicles and every time I walk in the building, call, or get a phone call they always treat me and my family so well. I work next door and its hard to get my car anywhere with my schedule so I asked about being seen and what their prices are for brakes. They told me to bring it in for a free inspection and worked it on the spot! They called me quickly afterward and took care of everything before I even went to lunch! They didnt try to oversell or find other problems, and were straight forward. I definitely recommend their service.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HANDS DOWN 5 STAR!!! I would give MORE than 5 stars if I could! I have never been to any of the Mr. Tire locations before today, but another local shop I have used for the last several years cost me a full engine replacement after they did an oil change on my vehicle 2 months ago, so I needed to find someplace new. After searching google, Mr. Tire had great reviews. Now I know why!!My front tire wasnt holding air and I needed it fixed asap before I would be driving out of state the next day so I gave the Jacksonville NC shop a call. From the moment I made the call to ask about coming in today for a last minute tire repair/replace, the friendliness and professionalism over the phone was a pleasant surprise! The service manager, David, was so friendly and personable and told me they were busy today but it was no issue to come in and they would be happy to check out my tire and get the issue fixed.When I got there, there were several people already waiting and they squeezed me in, so I expected to have to wait awhile, but they got my vehicle in pretty quickly. I actually told David at the front desk several times before they even looked at it that I would buy 2 new tires if the 1 tire needed to be replaced (my husband has always replaced our tires 2 at a time whenever 1 needed to be done).After fitting me in for a same day appt and looking at my tire, they said it had a hole in it but it could be patched. What they quoted me for a patch was a nominal price compared to my willingness to buy 2 brand new tires. They told me that it wasnt necessary to replace the tire (or subsequently buy 2 new tires), I could just get it patched, no problem. They literally could have made over $230 off me right then for the 2 tires I was 100% willing to buy, no questions asked but instead they proved to be honest professionals and assured me that a $45 patch would be just fine.While I was waiting for the patch to be done, another customer who was there before me was still waiting for her vehicle to be finished and had gone to the counter to ask how much longer her wait would be. They came out about 10 minutes later and handed her her paperwork and keys and told her we sincerely apologize for your wait, so your service is on us today! We appreciate your business and hope you come back to see us again! Have a wonderful day!You just dont find customer service like this very often anymore. They clearly are in business to make money but it is very apparent that they care more about the customer service they provide and being honest over making extra money off their customers. Great customer service and straight forward. They were very easy to talk to and honest. They had the best customer service and honesty I’ve experienced out of any auto service centers I’ve been to in the area.Luckily my requirement was simple and I just needed an oil change. I had one person ahead of me and still got down in about an hour, but the front desk guys continued to talk to me like a person, not a check, which made time go by faster. I also saw and heard them interact with other customers and they broke things down in simple terms and were very eager to help them with whatever the customer needed.

I had an excellent experience at this Mr. Tire. I had just got an 07 Corvette that I knew needed some work. It really needed brakes and I couldnt wait for my new low profile floor jack to come in. I tried taking it somewhere else first and they couldnt do it because they were scared to put it on their lift. I called Mr. Tire from a recommendation and they said they would get it done even if they had to do one wheel at a time with a jack. Brian and David as well as the mechanic really went above and beyond, they did extra research to make sure everything was to spec with OEM which is what I wanted since it has the Z51 package. They told me everything that needed to be done and were in constant contact. Highly recommend these guys!

I could have sworn I already wrote one of these so I apologize that this is so long over due!! Brian, Chris, and his entire staff are an absolutely incredible team who are simply amazing at what they do. My car has been through some serious fixes with them and both of our cars are seen here for regular maintenance as well. Coming from Utah, (military of course ;D) I was so nervous to try and find a honest, reliable place to have our cars serviced. Auto Zone recommended us to check these guys out and after finally doing so, almost 8 months ago, I wouldnt want to go anywhere else. They have always been upfront and honest with what needs to be done (even when you dont want to hear it) and how much it will be, which I appreciate SO much, and they take the extra time to ensure that when you drive away, you can be relaxed and confident that your car has been serviced by people who genuinely care about you and your vehicles integrity. If you havent had a chance to take your vehicle here then you are missing out on a true gem of Jacksonville and I highly recommend a visit the next time your vehicle needs it!

First, I had an appointment for 1:00 in the afternoon. They didn’t pull my car into the garage until 1:45 which kind of defeated the purpose of the appointment in my opinion. Secondly, I brought my car in because my exhaust had a single loose exhaust hanger so it’s an easy fix. I was told it was going to be 1 hour worth of labor and that it was going to be $125. So I was hmm okay. From the time my car got jacked up till the time it was complete was 22 minutes. I knew there’s no way it would take an hour to repair a single exhaust hanger. When I asked why I was still being charged for an hour of work he went back and said it’s actually their “ standard” for any welding they do. Just another shop that doesn’t care if they save the costumer any money.

Absolutely the best car shop in town. They have given me amazing service on the two times I had to go there. My most recent experience was by far the best. They showed me how my last mechanic completely missed significant signs that my problem was going to repeat itself. They went above and beyond to fix my problem, and take care of me as a person. Thank you! I will definitely do business again as well as recommend them to my friends and associates.

I want to give the biggest of shout outs to Brian. I was visiting from out of town and my car started to act up. It wasn’t safe for my son and I to go on the road. He made it where it is more than safe for us. No appointment nothing but he made sure that my family was safe. This is by far the best customer service I have received at Mr.Tire. Definitely suggest going there if you ever need anything done.

Needed a last minute issue fixed for my vehicle. No one would give me an answer on estimates or work. I came in and they completely moved times and work to accommodate all the customers today. If you could find a place that turns water into beer, this would be it. Way faster than the initial time estimate and over a $150 cheaper than everyone I called and went to. Definitely have my business now.
