Such amazingly, friendly, and helpful staff! I needed help with a small tire change out for my lawn tractor and while their equipment isn’t designed to do them, they found a way to make it happen for me. They were so happy to help me out and made me feel welcomed in their shop. I truly appreciate them and their service.

This place is the best tire place Ive ever been to. They fixed my tire faster than anywhere else and for cheaper than anywhere else. Other places in Richlands and Jacksonville either broke the valve or got grease all over my driver seat. This was my first good experience in the area.

I went in to have a simple tire rotation from one set of tires to another. The staff bent over backwards to assist me and get my vehicle in same day after I explained to them I was only in town for a short time. They identified an issue with the second set of tires, explained the issue to me, and presented a solution that added no additional cost to me. One top of it, they preformed the work FASTER than originally quoted. A big thanks to the entire staff for your professionalism and courtesy. You have earned a repeat customer.

After several bad experiences with mechanics in the area, we found Family Tire & Auto Service. Unless we need specialty work done, this is our go-to place! When you have an appointment, they will get your vehicle in at that time and will keep you updated while they work on your vehicle. They don’t try to up charge you, they respect your time and decisions, and they will work with you if there is a problem. They have plenty of space in their waiting room, but are also near restaurants and stores if you want to walk & explore while your vehicle is in their shop.

I came in to get my car checked out because of the noise I was hearing. I couldnt really afford the bulk of the work and they really went out of there way to get the stuff done for me. Good people here who really helped me out.

So far every time Ive gone in to get service on my car it always has been a great experience. The crew did an amazing job and give great recommendations. The prices they also offer are competitive and not overly crazy for the work I want done on my car.

The price quoted on the phone was not the price out the door. I know its my fault for not getting it in writing. Do not make my mistake. I called the number listed for the store location and explained what I needed and had everything worked out. Arrived for my appointment and they acted like they didnt have any details. I ended up paying an extra $250.00. So again, get the quote in writing. Oh, and I have to go back because the alignment was done, but the truck still pulls to the right. Nice job on the bait and switch Mavis, first time, last time.

I have taken my F-150 here twice now and they are by far the most trustworthy shop that I have experienced. They always do great work, stay on schedule and are so friendly to me every time I walk through the door. I highly recommend anyone use this shop to get work done on there vehicle!

In April I replaced every component of my suspension down to the bolts and installed new tires, but needed an alignment. My trusted shop was a week out for appointments so I went here. First problem was their alignment machine uses the mount that attaches to the tire not the rim. Having a modified suspension with the car lower than stock prevents them from getting the sensors on. No big deal, I removed the fenders and took it back in for alignment. I went to eat lunch and about 20 minutes into my meal I get a call saying it was ready. Typically alignments take about an hour, or should. When I pick it up I find that they only adjusted the toe. They refused to adjust the camber even though I installed adjustable arms. They said they doesnt adjust aftermarket parts. My gut told me to just take the car elsewhere, but I drove it anyway, at least having the toe right wouldnt eat the tires. Second problem, the beginning of july I had some other issues with my car, when I jacked up the front end to do some work I noticed I had some bad tire wear around the inside of both front tires, almost showing the cords, went ahead a rotated the tires as the rear tires still looked brand new. Figured it was just the camber doing damage. Over the next 2 weeks the car got progressively worse to drive and I noticed that the toe was out on the front and the almost new tires were bald like before. Jacked up the front end and found that the lock nuts on the tie rods were just a little over hand tight. Not sure if this is their fault for not properly tightening those nuts or mine for knowing that most shops suck and not going behind them to check myself. So in a little over 3 months Ive trashed a set of tires from the tie rods slowly turning out of adjustment. Swapped out the tires for a spare set I have and did my best at realigning in my driveway. Going to stop at a shop I trust and have it aligned this week and order tires. Cant speak for this shops other work, but take my advice, go somewhere else for alignment services. Would call them back and see how they would resolve this but they cant do a proper alignment anyway.

Went in a couple of weeks ago to get my tires rotated on my Jeep. The staff was extremely nice and honest with me through the whole experience. During the process they showed me where my spare tire was a little too chopped to put into the rotation and that it could give me a vibration in my steering. Most other stores wouldnt even take the time out to inform the customer. This staff is a staff that cares about their customers. The jeep was in the shop longer then expected and the staff realizing the inconvenience and gave me a big discount. I will definitely be going back again for future service just because of their great customer service.

Went in for a routine oil change, there were two people in front of me and I had to wait awhile. I bought four new tires a few months ago and a reasonable price and the job was performed quickly. They offer free tire rotations for life, as long as their tires are on your car. I went back yesterday and had the rotation done within 30 minutes. Very friendly and honest staff....they were up front about a few other issues and gave me good quotes on future work to be done.

I bought 4 new tires from AJ for my car. He was very nice and made sure I got what I needed. Once the job was done he also made sure that I was happy with the ride and performance of the tires. I will go back and buy from him again and will also tell anyone I know to go see him before they buy somewhere else.

A former employee under old Family Tire that believed in customer satisfaction this team embodies that term and will exceed your expectations if you let them.

Prompt? Understatement. Called this morning due to my wifes car having a crisis. Jacob provided me with a quote that met my financial needs. Cheapest of the three that I called. Not only did the price satisfy my needs, the we can get you right in response was just what I needed. Their promptness allowed me to make it home in time to continue work. You guys keep doing what you do. You cant please them all, but you do a great job of hitting the mark.

I went in today to get a flat tire repaired and was told that the nail was in a none repairable place plus not enough tread either so I had to buy new tires for the car. Because I am a repeat customer they gave me a good deal on all 4 tires.

I dropped my car off early to get new tires. My appointment was at 2 pm and they called me to come and get my car at 315 pm. That was quick. They are very well priced and extremely courteous, making my visit a very pleasant one.

My husband had ordered tires from them and made an appointment online to have them replace my tires when the new ones came in. We dropped off his truck on the day of appt. to have them installed and left in my car. They call him back 1 hr later to tell him that there was a mistake with the order on his tires and that they haven’t come in and that the truck was ready for pick up. No apologies for wasting our time. Then we get a notification later on through email that they marked his appointment as a MISSED appointment. Completely ridiculous and unreliable service! My husband then went online and ordered tires from Discount Tire (on Western) and they were Awesome!

Went in with a tire that wouldn’t hold air. Had a nail in a location that couldn’t be repaired. Got a new tire for a fair price and was in and out in no time. Will definitely be my tire place from now on.

I went here a few months back to get a tire replaced. They quoted me and told me the tire would be there that Saturday, come Saturday morning I called and asked if my tire was there they said it had been cancelled and couldn’t give me a reason why. Then I had to wait another 3 days till Tuesday without the use of my truck. When the tire finally got there they charged me full price even after their screw up canceling my tire, and couldn’t even mount the tire to my truck because of my aftermarket wheels and charged me a disposal fee when i just picked up the tire and went to a different place to get it mounted and the old tire disposed of. Will never recommend or go to this place again.

They got me in and out as a walk-in to change my head light during my lunch break. This was my first time there- such great customer service that I scheduled an appointment for an oil change. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family!

Do yourself a favor and find another shop. I was quoted one price over the phone and told another when I showed up for my service time. Guy at the counter proceeded to argue with me and tell me I was wrong. I left and called the manager to cancel my appointment and let him know why and he couldn’t have cared less. Horrible customer service go to any other tire shop in town and you will be much happier.

Was hoping this place would be great due to its reviews. But when I went in to have breaks fixed they quoted me $400 more then most of the places in town. Took my car somewhere else and they were shocked how much they were going to over charge me. Will never return to this place.

I have gotten oil changes and brakes fixed here. Service has always been fast and the staff here has always been nice. In addition to that, I had an emergency moment and this place really came through for me. I was driving my kids to school today and my low tire pressure came on. I freaked out a bit because last time this light came on, my tire blew out minutes later. I called several gas stations and none of them had air pumps. So, I gave up on that and I drove here thinking theyd be able to help me, considering theyre a tire place, and they told me to come on back. Within literally 3 minutes I was safely on the way back home and on top of that, it was free for them to fill my tires. I recommend this place, most definitely. Very quick and kind staff!

These guys are always great. My truck broke down this morning. Called and told them what happened and then I got the truck towed there. They were able to fit me in around scheduled maintenance and it was fixed by 2 PM.

Went and had an oil change/ tire rotation performed and these guys took great care of me. Explained all future issues to be on the lookout for, educated me on the mechanism of some parts, and remained professional throughout my entire interaction. Got a tire change and they lost or misplaced my wheel lock key and told me they would contact me if they found it and never did.

Id like to thank the entire team for their above board professionalism. They assisted in helping a lady that experienced a flat on the side of a country road by staying open a little bit later than normal to swap out a tire. As a result of their professionalism we were able to assist a person in need.I will definitely seek them out for my future automotive needs.

I have come here for my vehicle maintenance needs several times now. They are always speedy, knowledgeable, and have great customer service.

Not sure how up charging labor when a customer brings in their own parts is a good business practice but CUSTOMER BEWARE. I know full well they cant warranty the parts in question and made that known. The guy at the counter stated upfront that the labor was going to be up charged because I brought my own parts. Makes NO sense. I wont be coming back here nor to the shop in Morehead City as they were incredibly rude and impersonal. Unfortunately, I had to get the work done and it was convenient to where I work. DO NOT GET WORK DONE HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT.

They are under new management. Before they were awesome. Now the customer service is horrible. They conveniently lost my tire warranty and will now not cover my tires which I purchased under original management. Also, the place looks like a dump now. The previous management had the facility looking sparkly clean. I didnt mind waiting for hours because at least I had a nice place to sit. Save yourself the money and trouble and just go somewhere else.

Today we took our 2009 Dodge Truck to Family Tire & Auto Service to have the tire pressure monitor system sensors checked/replaced. While I have had the warning light on for a while, I knew with the trucks age and never replacing them they were due to be replaced. We were greeted by Randy at the front desk, he told us our options of checking them before replacing. We decided to replace all four of the sensors, once we discovered three of the four were defective after all these years of owning the truck with 153,000 miles on it. Thats when Jacob and Jared went to town and had all four replaced and we were back on the road in no time at all. We were quoted higher prices at other places, but these guys beat the other prices, without being told the other quotes. I felt like a first rate customer by Randy at the front desk and then when the others (Jacob & Jared) came out to discuss what was done, how I should come back in 25 miles to check recheck the tightness of the equipment after driving a while. No extra charge, no appointment needed for this to be done. If you need to go somewhere for an honest job, at a decent price while being treated as a valued customer, this is your place. First rate place with outstanding customer service.

I needed 4 new tires for my Durango and as usual was met with the best deal around. I didnt need an appointment and understood that could mean a longer wait time but I was still in and out within a reasonable time frame for the work I had done. This shop is always welcoming and knowledgeable when it comes to automotive needs. They are honest and upfront on what needs to be done right away or what could wait until my next service. I went to this place to get my fuel pump replaced. I brought in my own fuel pump for them to install. They took over 5 hours to install, which should have taken 45 minutes at the most. Then when I got my truck back they had scratched the paint and bumper terribly. After I argued with them they checked their cameras and saw they were at fault. Its been 2 months and I havent got my money back. They also didnt install my fuel pump and I had someone else do it right. All together the only thing this place has done is take my money and damage my truck farther. Go ANYWHERE else.Update:I called the line they have given after all these bad reviews, and it only got worse. DO NOT GO HERE!

My wife and I have used this place for oil changes and tires and never had an issue. The moment I recommend my mother and wife’s grandmother to go there they have received nothing but lies and broken items on their vehicles. I’m not sure if it’s because they are older women or because their cars are old but the mechanics have displayed constant ignorance and laziness when dealing with my family. If you are in need of any work done, I would find someone else they will break stuff and blame anyone else they can.

I have been here several times for tires and other work. The staff there is always professional and friendly and deserve 5 stars. The reason I only gave 4 stars is due to their call center. This is the second time (so I was not surprised) that I call in to get pricing and make an appointment. When on the phone I ask the guy (Sean was his name) for an out the door price. He gives me whatever number and tells me its the total price. When I show up to drop off the car and confirm the charges I learn that disposal and mounting/balancing price was not given to me over the phone. Hence, NOT an out the door price. Again, I knew to expect this and even though the additional fees that the call center guy gave me were right around an additional $100, they were still the best deal.

Good service. Took a long while to get the tires done but fair prices and nice people.

Cant say enough good things about the fellas at Family Tire on Yopp Rd. My 2013 Hyundai feels like a new car. From start to finish they provided outstanding customer service making sure I was completely informed of all needed services. New tires, balance and allignment, new front brakes and pads, brake fluid flush, new rear shocks and a needed oil change. A lot of work in a timely and professional manner and at a decent total price.
