Perfect date night location. Great ice cream options. The prices are good, the staff is friendly and there is not a lot of staff turnover. The cool thing is if you go in enough, the staff remembers your order. The owner is customer focused. When I mentioned that it was my daughter’s 10 birthday the owner got her a gift. I really enjoy this place. It is always clean and it is a good date spot. Try the waffle cone in the bowl with one scoop. Perfect amount of crunch with ice cream.

I ended up getting Red Velvet instead. It was sooooooo good! Real Chunks of red cake and the taste is on point! Thank you again!

Springfield Scoops is truly a slice of heaven, especially during these very abnormal times. It is a get away from all that is going on in our world They have a wide selection of flavors and even sugar free ice cream, which my mom is a fan of. The shakes are awesome and one day I will get me a sundae from scoops. But in the meantime, my favorite is the shakes.

So tasty! I ordered a fudge sundae with the cherry ice cream in a wallet bowl. The waffle cones/bowls are made fresh and I ate the entire thing. My friend had a classic banana split which also looked delicious. Im getting one next time.

My first visit was yesterday and it was new, enjoyable and refreshing to have an ice cream shop in Springfield. Theres an ample amount of delicious product and combinations to be prepared and enjoyed.The store was exceptionally clean with nostalgic decor, several tables & chairs and which seems like an 18-20 ft., Bar & stools which faces a wall that displays a ice cream mural. I had double scoop cherry vanilla waffle cone. Very satisfying and tasty, will be returning to sample nearly the entire menu.

Love the ice cream had the smurf and birthday cake was very good..... And heard about place and wanted to support black business cause I grew up in the area and happy to have this in the community but whats sad is that once I came in there was no type of good customer service, no type of greeting nor type of at least a hello, and I notice when others came in they got greeted and treat better, which it need to be consistent with every customer not just one or select few and with that you can have the best product but if you dont have good customer service and give a good customer Spirits your business would not Thrive whether its big or small so with that would not support with them for that. But at least the ice cream was good.

The ice cream and the customer service was excellent!!! The portion size was generous too. Covid precautions were taken and cleanliness was top priority, I saw for myself as I sat with my mother in law and watched them clean with Lysol immediately after each customer left the table. I loved my first visit and plan on returning SOON!!

The ice cream was delicious but overpriced. The bathrooms were out of order and the employees didnt know what to do with a family that needed to wash their hands.Employees were polite In asking me to put a mask on but the mask requirement is silly. Im not an anti-masker and I put my mask on when they asked me to. I hadnt noticed the sign on the door stating the mask requirement. So, I put my mask on and looked around. That was when I noticed that not a single diner was wearing a mask. Because who knew, you cant eat ice cream with a mask on? So, in summary, wear a mask between the door and the register.I will be happy to come back but at their prices, it wont be frequent. I do recommend you stop by if youre in the area and looking for a treat.

I heard about Springfield Scoops yesterday and went yesterday for the first time after brunch with a couple of friends one of which told us about it. The service was outstanding and the ice cream even better. I had blueberry and butter pecan in a freshly made waffle bowl. We wanted more before we left. We will all surely go back. The prices are good for the quality of the ice cream. See you soon.

I am Jacksonville, Fl. visiting my son and his family and we decided to go out for ice cream. My daughter in law put ice cream in her google search and we found Springfield Scoops. We are a generational ice cream loving family and now we have found our family ice cream home. We all loved our selections. My youngest grandson turned blue with joy. He had a cup of their blue ice cream. Wow, he didnt stop eating until the cup was completely empty. I had the raspberry truffle..Yummy 😋. Excellent quality ice cream. Additionally, the young sister who owns this establishmental served was incredibly kind, friendly and gracious. She made me feel so proud of her. This is an incredible place to visit. Very clean and spacious. I will be back, on my next visit, to have more of the best ice cream in town. Banana split for sure!!

I L O V E D this place. Lot of different varieties of ice creme and ways of having it! Sundaes, banana splits(which is what i had), cookies, milkshakes, waffle cone and bowls, cups and bowls, coffee as well. The inside is bright and colourful! Definitely will be coming back again.

Very nice joint, on main Street just a few steps north of W 8th Street. Very easy to drive by without seeing it, which I did. You can park in front or down the street. There might be parking on the north side.The selection of ice creams is pretty good, there were quite a few. I tried a large scoop of I think it was the Captains Chocolate and one of the Strawberry both of which were fabulous. The strawberry had a kind of wild taste, just a little tartness, which I thought was fabulous. The chocolate was also first rate, with a really deep chocolate taste, for real chocolate aficionados. So, two giant scoops in a waffle cone, 6.69 with tax, not bad for ice cream of this quality. This ice cream is a step up from the major chain joints.

Omg..we got sundaes 2 scoops.the Hawaiian fruit cup is TASTY!!!!!.and the cake batter 👍.great place so friendly.very very clean.you can sit inside or outside.big scoops(hints the name😜)its a perfect spot to stop and grab some yummy ice cream..

Was told one flavor a week of Non-dairy ice cream would be offered for customers whom are lactaid as well as customers that don’t indulge in dairy products at all. How ever two times I’ve patronized this particular polar they DID have a non dairy ice cream on display. After returning with a co worker in which we traveled from Jaxport during our lunch break specifically for the non dairy ice cream, NONE was available. Nice place but need to be accommodating to ALL customers DAIRY AND NON-DAIRY.. WE LOVE ICE CREAM TOO.

The ice cream was good. Parking is abysmal. I think there may be oy 2 spaces on the entire block. I was pretty frustrated by the lack of info on the menu boards and really my interaction with staff was also not positive. My 81 year old mother wanted caramel on her banana split and they refused. They also have stickers on the floor that are peeling and little stools for kids right in front of the ice cream cases/order counter, all of which we and other tripped and stumbled on and are likely going to result in a lawsuit. Its kinda sad that this wasnt a more positive overall experience, because good traditional ice cream is quite difficult to find anywhere on the north side of Jacksonville and we would normally frequent a place like this.

Went early in the day and enjoyed a double scoop ice cream on a homemade waffle cone. Offerings include sherbert, banana splits, root beer floats, and ice cream sundaes with all the toppings you could want. Their pleasant and friendly staff, and nostalgic vibe will definitely bring me back.

First, it is Ice Cream, so you cant lose. Really chill vibe and great staff. Great flavor variety. And I love what they are adding to the Springfield neighborhood. A quality choice and jobs.

My wife really liked her ice cream. They have colorful scoops and cups for your ice cream. Too many places give cones but no cups. Then the person who bought ice cream is in a race to eat all the ice cream before it drips down the side of the cone. Cupa are great. Side note, they still require masks. Not a big deal, my wife and I had to wall back home and get our masks so we could get ice cream. Im not mad about that. I just dont want people to miss out on ice cream because of it

My wife insisted that we visit this place based on the positive recommendation from her friend. This place is great. Scoops is very clean and neatly designed. They have a wide variety of flavors and the waffle cones are made onsite. The management and staff is very friendly. This great ice cream shop (Scoops) is new to the area and we must support it especially with its awesome quality and affordably. There are always areas of improvements as with anything. We called four consecutive times to see if the published hours were accurate before making the 15 minutes trip and the phone was not answered. The flavors are identified on the glass enclosure which requires patrons to walk in front of each other to see which flavors are available. A menu of all available flavors on the wall would be good. It was good to see gloves being used by staff, a hair net would be a great addition. I didnt like that two members of the young staff (blonde hair gentlemen & pink streaks dread lady) was fondling with their hair and mask while serving patrons. Management was great, she was instructing the young and inexperienced staff on the proper way to do things. My wife and I will definitely be frequenting this place. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend Springfield Scoops.

My only complaint is with so many flavors they dont have enough room to display everything so they may not have the flavor you want every time you go. My favorite is cherry vanilla and they didnt have it when I went. I was very disappointed but the strawberry runner up was good too.

I came in one evening with my daughter and tried blueberry cheesecake and praline. I ended up getting cookies n cream and my daughter got vanilla. I asked the lady (I assume the owner) what is “praline”? and she said “The description of the ice cream is under each name”. Her tone came across condescending. I was aware of the description and had already read it. I wasn’t asking for the description of the ice cream I was specifically asking what is praline. It sounded familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The two definitions below that I got from Merriam Webster are in the range of the response I was looking for, and the description she had under the name didn’t align with that so that’s why I asked. The Ice cream is meh in my opinion.Praline- a: almonds cooked in boiling sugar until brown and crisp.b: patty of creamy brown sugar and pecan meats.

This beautiful business is so clean inside. The ice cream is absolutely delicious! The owner serves you with a smile that makes you want to try & BUY every flavor in the shop! It is on Main St. in Springfield & it warms my little heart to see this Black Owned Business light up the street!

My husband and I first tried the newest addition to Springfields Main Street a few weeks back and were stumped on what we wanted to try with all the amazing flavors they have. I chose Strawberry Cheesecake and my husband chose the Red Velvet. Needless to say both are amazing options, but the one that had us day dreaming about it every time we drove past Scoops or walked past Scoops was the Red Velvet. After a long day and a long craving, we finally popped back in Scoops excited to give Red Velvet another go and we saw it was all gone. Sadness, I know. But what ended up happening was the owner went to the back to open a whole new container of red velvet even after the shop closed and we waited patiently to buy 2 pints of red velvet to take home and enjoy. Moral of the story, always take care and support local businesses, always check the hours of operations, and always make sure you have a back-up ice cream. Unashamed, we ate our two pints in less than a week, so it was all worth the wait.

The girl with the pink and black dreads is very rude! She looked unwelcoming and like she didn’t even want to be there. It was my first time there with my siblings and wasn’t sure of what size ice cream to get since I didn’t notice their cup size. I told her to get three smalls since I felt rushed but my siblings changed their minds to medium. I told her to replace it with a medium and she snatched the cups and rolled her eyes and was just rude. She was basically rushing us and I didn’t appreciate it! She didn’t even offer samples. I really wanted to like this place but the customer service from her was horrible, she needs some training. The place is cute and that was one positive about it. Also, there should be a note or something telling you the limit of toppings you can get before you’re charged 50 cents per extra topping.

Great new ice cream shop! It is bright & clean and the employees are friendly, eager to offer a sample of the many flavors - too many to count! I had the rainbow sherbet in a waffle cup & it was delicious! I will be back for more, very soon!
