She went above and beyond to ensure that we got the product(s) we were looking for whether it was located in the store or not. I’m telling everyone, they got it right there. I received follow up phone calls about the delivery of the items purchased. Last, they have a great sale going on at the store. I just can’t wait to get back over there.

The House of Lamps and Shades has been my “go to” for lighting purchases for years. I have never failed to find the perfect lamp, shade, and get needed repairs done at reasonable costs. The unique chandelier in my dining room always gets compliments. The sales personnel are extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with on decorating projects.

Beware of the return policy. I went to return a lamp and lampshade and was told it was past 7 days return policy. I stated I was unaware of this but the salesperson said she thought she told me about the policy. She only told me that if I took the plastic off the lamp shades there would be a 10 dollar wrapping fee. The receipt does not show the return policy so you are at their mercy. What a disgrace and shameful. I now have a store credit for a business that I would prefer to never set foot in again. I do not recommend this place.

Always passed by, but never visited the House of Lamps & Shades until Jan. 9. We were searching for a ceiling light and went online shopping through the traditional big box stores. However, on the way to lunch we decided to stop in the store for the first time. We were impressed by both the selection and customer service. Grace was extremely helpful and gave us time to talk everything over before making a purchase. She even went out of her way to make sure we saw the lights turned on (which required climbing a ladder). It might seem like part of their job, but trust me, the extra touch of customer service went a long way. Prices of lamps are always more than I think they should be, but between the sale price and discount, we left satisfied with our purchase. Well worth the visit if youve never walked in before.

I was surprised to find a nice selection of high end lighting fixtures. I’ve been looking at fixtures from Visual Comfort and John Richard and they have fixtures from both companies. This allowed me to see the quality and I was not disappointed. I ordered 2 visual comfort fixtures and paid less that what I was able to find online, over 15% less. My 2 very old Stiffel lamps in the LR need new shades too...I know I’ll find them at House of Lamps & Shades. In addition, I just love going there to see the lighting fixtures... I get so many ideas.

I went to the store to find replacement lampshades for my Mother. The young lady who assisted us was so nice and helpful. When we were not able to find a replacement shade (odd size), she assisted us in doing a custom order so we could replicate the original as closely as possible. First class customer service, not something you find that much anymore. I highly recommend the House of Lamps and Shades!

They have a large lighting selection. My problem is with customer relations. I bought a fixture off the floor. After waiting three months for my dining room set to arrive, I hung the fixture to find that it did not work in the room.I brought the fixture back and was told that I could not get a refund but would gladly receive storeCredit. When I picked a fixture of equivalent value, I was told that the transaction could not be completed without the approval of management, who was unavailable.I paid for the new fixture with the assurance that I would be called the next day to effect the credit. Five days later without a call I contacted the store to be told that the credit would not be given. Finally they agreed to $95 Credit for the $297 fixture.I am not happy with the runaround and the failure to follow up, and being given take take it or leave it solution.

Bought a shade for a 100 year old lamp that belonged to my great grandmother. Also had replacement crystals for grandmothers lamps as well. Also went back and bought lovely bridge lamp made in the USA. Thats important and rare these days to get the option of cheaper priced Chinese or more expensive USA built products in the same store with prices reflective of the difference.I added some photos of my grandmothers living room furniture now complete thanks to the replacement crystals on the blue lamps. Alfred Hitchcock knew the importance of just the right lamp in a room. He always framed lamps in his interior shots. He was a genius, and quite right! I definitely could never get a pair of lamps at Walmart or IKEA that could replace those blue lamps. With the wonderful selection of lamp parts at House of Lamps I was able to restore the originals.Had I needed replacement lamps for her living room set, I definitely could have found something here that would look good!

My experience was a good one. They had a large inventory of lights. Everytime I have visited, there were discounts. I brought a huge drum light I had been watching for months. The light was already discounted at 40% off for black Friday I got 50% off. Compare to other lighting Companies, I found this store to have the best prices and a large selections of lights.The customer service is tops. They are hard at work meeting customer needs.

The best selection of fans in Jacksonville. I’m came in to look around with no intention of buying but was so amazed by the what I saw and the pricing was 15-20% lower than buying it online. Trust me, I spent 20 minutes comparing the pricing before I purchased. I also would rather buy locally if possible so was happy to make the purchase.

They looked up he item for me and told me they could order it and honor the price that was on the Internet. It took about 10 minutes and my light fixture is ordered. I haven’t received it yet but was very pleased with the quick and professional service over the phone. I didn’t have to leave my house.

They take your money and wait weeks before product arrival. They stall by telling you they are waiting for items to be shipped. They have no inventory and take your money up front. Do not support companies who do this.

Went for a replacement glass cover for a light. Even though they dont sell them separately the staff member accommodated my needs and for a very reasonable price.
