Kat and her techs treated me superbly! My big old MTB hydraulic brakes were leaking and they fixed them promptly and were more than fair with the charges. These folks are super nice and very professional and theyve won me over!

As I entered in the store, woman had a look at me and said this is the only available bike and it $3000, didnt greet or anything. When I said I am just looking to buy a bike, instead of showing inventory or anything, she said oh our bikes start at 400 and go all the way up to thousands of dollars. I am like, I dont know how much a good bike costs. Her attitude was like I cant afford a bike or I am just window shopping. The very second I entered in store, she judged me and started this kind of conversation. I will take my business where they can respect different color of people.

Super nice folks at the shop! They really cater to their community with a unique assortment of versatile commuter, gravel, track, and kids bikes. Had a great experience buying a steel gravel / road bike from them. They can special order and do custom builds too. Saturday group ride at 7am with A and B groups.

I was very happy to find a new bike store in Katy so close to my home. The staff, Kat, Rabiab and Michael, are all knowledgeable and helpful. It is refreshing to find a store where they find out about my needs first then sell me what I need instead of constantly trying to up-sell like at some other stores in the area. They also dont display the snobbishness towards those who dont ride fancy, high-priced bikes that I have experienced. After a few visits, they recognized me by my voice when i called to order some parts. Those parts arrived promptly. I was shocked to find that their prices were in line with many online sellers. They have been an invaluable resource for advice and parts as I rebuilt my mountain bike. Though I havent had them repair work on my bikes yet, it is clear that they know what they are doing and have all the tools needed to handle any task. I will certainly be back when I am ready to buy a new bike or need new parts or accessories.Edited to add:I just bought some gloves and shoe covers from them today. I had to try on several different brands to find ones that fit properly, even though they were the same size, the fit was different. If I had purchased them online, I would have had to go through a lot of hassle getting returns processed and waiting for the next one. The staff are avid cyclists so they were able to give advice based on their personal experience. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the prices in the store were essentially the same as online.

As soon as I walked through the door, I was welcomed in and was asked all the right questions to get me riding away on the perfect bike for me. They even let me test ride a few bikes so I could see how each one rode!The staff (Kat and Michael) are so incredibly friendly and helpful, and are extremely knowledgeable about the cycling world. You can tell from the moment you walk in the door and begin talking with them that they are truly passionate about what they do and want to see our community embrace an environmentally friendly form of transportation.The owner, Kat, is is working hard to foster a sense of community and support in Katy and its so refreshing to see. She helps organize events for other cyclists in the area, has tons of community rides throughout the week, and even allows local artists like myself to showcase their work in her shop.I know that for any future cycling needs, Cool Cat Cycles is where Ill be going. This place went out of their way to find a part I could not find online. They sold me the parts I needed to fix up my wifes old mountain bike at a great price. Polite and prompt. My son knocked over one of their display Mountain Bikes and they were polite and understanding. From now on, this is our bike shop.

Wish i could give negative stars. After seeing a video posted by cool cats of a girl riding a bike at speed in their parking lot without a helmet and paying more attention to the camera than whats coming or in front of her, i posted what no helmet thinking they might be more friendly and understanding about cyclist safety. They responded with a link to an outdated website about why helmets and safety equipment are not the best thing to have because it makes you want to ride out of your skill level.Any shop that doesnt promote safety isnt professional and down right dangerous.Ive worked in bike shops since I was 16 years old and Im now 35. Never have I ever once told anyone helmets are not a good idea.

Very disappointed with the way I was treated, looking at the good reviews I contacted the store over the phone and asked them about the repair for my 2 bikes and I was told to get the bikes and they would look into it immediately and will be able to work on them. Once I gave them the bikes they said they have some more bikes to repair and soon will repair my bike and told me that I should get a call the next day. When I called the next day they tell me that the bikes will be done by afternoon and again when I contacted them in the afternoon they tell me that they are busy for 3 weeks and will do their best to get it repaired soon. When I asked how soon they did not give me any definitive answer. So I did not feel comfortable at all as they have been lying all along just to grab more customers without giving them or telling them the duration of repair. When I went to take my bikes I even spoke to a lady who claimed to be the owner and was telling me that they are overly busy for the next 3 weeks and when I said why you are not informing this upfront to the customers, she replies that she is just being nice to them by not informing them upfront and I can just take my bike and walked away. Had they told me over the phone that it would take them 3 weeks to repair the bike I would have made my decision to take my bikes to them or not accordingly, but instead went through this horrible process.I would not recommend this place to anyone.

One of the friendliest, most welcoming bike shops I’ve been to! They carry a wide range of bikes for all ages, and they help you get the best style bike for your needs. I’ve purchased a couple bikes (one for kid, one for me) and accessories, and had a great experience each time. Lots of cool parts and accessories too. They are also great advocates for bicycle safety in the community, with group rides for all ages/skills and maps of bike friendly local routes.

Hands down one of my favorite bike shops, ever! Ive been taking my bike in since they opened and have received excellent service every time. Ive pulled up to the shop a few times unannounced with mechanical issues and someone always helps me out. Within the last six months theyve recabled my bike and rebuilt my rear wheel, my older road bike is running great again. Not to mention, shop owner Kat is an advocate in our community, working to expand bike paths and cyclist safety in Cinco Ranch.

They promise a lot but dont deliver. Cannot be trusted. Not happy about being told stories repeatedly but glad in a way that I ended up not buying from that store; I would be concerned with warranty and quality of service.

Great family owned bike shop. Staff is super helpful and give great advice without pressuring you into a sale. Have taken both of my bikes here and they have gotten them working in them both working in tip top shape. I enjoy all of the group rides that they host out of the shop on a regular basis. Highly recommend.

Never-never visit this shop. The mechanic claims that he knows on how to repair the bikes, but he doesnt. I recently had two tires and two tubes changed for my kids bike, and the tube for the rear tire will burst without even riding the bike! He made an excuse that it was a problem with the rim while the truth is, he doesnt know how to fix the tire. Charged me $85 the first time, and then $19 again for his mistakes. Further the way he was repairing clearly demonstrated that he is not a professional, threw the chain cover when he couldnt fit it right, and finally blamed the quality of the cycle as the reason. I recommend all never to visit this shop. Wish there is zero star option for this shop.

Getting our bikes through Cool Cats was such a great experience for my boyfriend & I. Returning to bike riding after years off, I feel that we got totally set up. The team was super patient, anticipated our questions/concerns, and didnt leave an information gap anywhere. From bike add-ons to helping us set the rack on the car the first time, we learned what was totally necessary, what would be nice, and what was better left off of our bikes. We were able to ride demos, then order our bikes to be shipped to the store, where they assembled them. BONUS- Katya was so cool and took us on a ride around Katy so we could get some guided experience right away!

They didnt have the bike I wanted to test ride in stock (Covid has slowed down the supply chain). However, Kat was extremely helpful to point out some potential alternatives. She was pleasant to chat with in general. Many bike shops can be a bit pretentious and thus intimidating - none of that here. All around a fantastic bike shopping experience.

These are awesome people. Helped me with a refit of a 34 year old Fisher ATB. They were nothing but helpful and ridiculously wonderful. Best bicycle shop in Katy area by far.

Customer feels welcomed and feel right at home. This is how any business should be run. Customer first service, takes time to not only understand the questions, but answers it to match customer’s needs. Any type of repairs are reasonably priced, better yet, they will show you how you can do it at home so you can do it next time on your own. You will not get this type of service at big bike shops around Katy. Highly recommended over any shop around town.

Im typically not one to write a review, but felt the need to do so in this case. I recently purchased an All City bicycle from the guys/gals at Cool Cats. The staff was amazing. Very friendly, and even more helpful. After purchasing my new bike, the head bike tech, who was off at the time and not at the shop, actually went out of his way to come into the shop to make the necessary adjustments. Thats as good as it gets when it comes to customer service. Katya also offered me some coffee during the wait! Pretty solid. In any case, I have nothing but good things to say about this place and highly recommend them, no matter what your skill level may be. Nothing like riding on a steel frame bike! Hooray for Cool Cats!

Cool Cats is a great (family owned) shop that is packed with quality bikes and supplies and also civic minded and helpful in the community. Plus, the bike mechanic work is always top notch. The excellent advice from knowledgeable staff continues to help folks find bikes that meet their needs and keep them running perfectly. Best bike shop in the Katy area! The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very kid friendly. The first time I ever came in, I was looking for a very specific bike. They didnt have it is stock at the time due to the low demand for it, but the owner Katya helped me out and called numerous other bike shops across Houston to try and locate one for me to go check out and test ride. I Also brought my 4 year old son one day to check out some of the kids bikes, and Michael the mechanic there took the time to show me all the different ones they had in stock and was very helpful and patient with us, even though my son wasnt exactly in his best behavior. Definitely my favorite shop in Houston!

While they were working on my bike, the owner told me about some of great places to bike in the area and even took me on a short ride on one of their bikes to see one. They didnt try to sell me anything i didnt need and i left with my bike was running better than new. Great selection of commuter bikes and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Called to find out about bringing in a couple of bikes to have serviced and the guy made me feel like I was wasting his time. We have stopped in on several occasions but won’t be making that stop again!

Been to a few shops in the area where the guy act like they won the tour De France and educating you is beneath them. Not at Cool Cats. They were awesome from the bottom to the top. Ordered parts for my mountain bike and had it in a 48 hours later and I ended up buying a road bike. They are truly good hearted folks willing and happy to help you. I wont shop anywhere else.

They know their inventory very well and will educate the begginers on bike selection and accessories. Their assortment of accessories is high quality and hard to find in other shops.

Was showing my son the difference between carbon fiber and aluminum bikes by tapping on the frames and was Immediately scolded by a staff member not to touch her personal bike which was on display. “That’s a $5000 bike” SMH!

Im new to Texas and a cyclist. First thing I did when settling into Houston was to look for a bike shop to use long term. My search brought me to Cool Cat cycles and I now consider them my home store.I really enjoyed my visit as the owner was nice and friendly. You can tell right away that she is a huge advocate for commuter cycling, loves her city and all the safe opportunities to get around. Shell go out of her way to show you safe routes via their cycling apps, printed maps, and even take you on a cycling tour! She made me feel more comfortable about getting around!The bike mechanic, Michael ( I think his nickname is Micycle, cause I heard it a couple of times, lol) was a great help. I was looking for two bikes. One for my daughter and I, Michael spent time asking questions about what we were looking and made suggestions. We settled on a couple of bikes and have been enjoying them since!
