This little grocery store is awesome. Very country, nice folk, different variety of products offered. Will return!
Great food. Healthy portions! Never can finish the lunch plates
This day i pickup an 8 piece chicken took it home and i was ready to eat pull out a thigh and cut it open and it was under cook so tried another piece and the same results. If i wasnt so hungry and such a distance i would have taken it back. I finish cooking it in the microwave.
Ok selection, layout and friendly staff. The fresh food/restaurant is bad. Prices are about 20% higher than other chains. Produce is hit/miss. Basically a convenient place, but not for regular shopping.
Cashier was great but the person that filled my fried chicken order needs CS training. Goodness.
I have been driving all over Houston looking for Conecuh sausage. I called manufacturer today and they say Fiesta hasnt been ordering as many anymore. I normally buy ten at a time when we visit LA. are when I go to Fiesta. I had surgery in May and ran out last week. I looked online and saw Brookshire Brothers sell them and again thats where I get them in Homer, LA. I had idea that they were in parts of Texas, so I called the Katy location and the lady wasnt aware of the name. I asked her to please go and check, she did with a sweet voice and came back happy to be able to assist me. It was 35 minutes from me and I bought the last 17 packs of original and hot they had. My goal was 20 packs, but I am so pleased to have located them. On Saturday for my anniversary, my husband was going to surprise me and drive me to Homer, LA. to get some. I will be back before August before my next foot surgery. Thanks for making my day...
Brookshire Brothers is the last all-American grocery store to maintain the storied appearance of the past while embracing the ever-changing habits of the American consumer. There are no self-service checkout lanes. There are human beings tied to the communities they serve ready and willing to go beyond the requisite customer/employee relationship. The staff in the deli are just as concerned about fulfilling your order as they are about your well-being.The interactions between customers in the grocery store are elevated to city council meetings, discussing local affairs with great concern. One day while circling the DVD rack, I overheard two people wondering why the store no longer carried Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman. Both people confronted the manager, and he called three stores before he found ONE copy remaining in Navasota Texas. He told both of them I will drive out there if I have to, but this is going to turn into a King Solomon scenario. Graciously, and in cavalier fashion, the gentleman conceded his desire to possess this classic television show and yielded the copy to the woman. On another occasion, the deli was out of fried chicken during the lunch rush. Instead of antagonizing customers with undesirable options, they invited each person to enter the chicken coop behind the store and select a chicken. This unprecedented action did not go unnoticed. Ecstatic patrons ran to the chicken coop behind the store, selected their own beautiful bird, and slaughtered it themselves. To top this measure of communal collaboration, the store comped each patron a fountain drink. There are too many stories to tell here, so I will end with this nugget of wisdom: Shop locally. It is more than dollars and cents, instant gratification, and baseless consumerism. At Brookshire Brothers, everyone is family.
The pharmacy is awesome. I was using a big name pharmacy across the street but after a few times of them not filling a Rx or being out of something I went to the next closest pharmacy. SO glad I did! Mr. James, Mr. Vincent and the staff are wonderful. The store itself is small and sometimes limited on what they carry (compared to Walmart, Kroger etc). Small town hospitality and friendly folks at this store.
The best neighborhood grocery store with everything you could possibly need.
Great place. The bakery has awesome desserts and breads staring at you. I remember the old Brookshire Brothers when the store was off Avenue D in Katy Texas. People are friendly. Enjoy spending money locally
I moved into the area in January and checked this super market out to pick up just a few items.Pros: easy parking, not crowed, clean inside, good choice of fresh produceCons: maybe not as extensive range of some supermarkets, prices. Some basic items I went to pick up were very steep. One was shower gel at $8.99 a bottle but was approx $3 in the major named supermarket. Another was uncles Ben’s microwave rice at $2.89 but other named supermarkets at $1.99.I may shop here for convenience and happy to pay higher prices but at 50pc and higher prices I’m not sure that makes sense to.
Nice clean store and efficient cashier.
Clean store. Well stocked. Weird smell though.
Convenient for those living nearby. Groceries are a bit pricey but better than driving to the city with traffic congestions.
Great on helping me. Im disabled
I got my wifes Valentines Day flowers here. The florist was very helpful and made a bouquet to order. It came out perfect.
Really impressed with the remodel! Ive been hoping theyd do this for years. We live a mile away but until now, didnt care much for the ambiance. In the last few months, theyve really stepped up their game. Its very clean, so easy to get in and out quickly, compared to WalMart. Theyve made an effort to bring in interesting products and convenience foods, redone the front area, bakery, and restaurant, and added a curbside service. I think they still tend to be a little more expensive, but the convenience and cleanliness are great.
Clean store great customer service products good experience 👍
I love Brookshire ! There is always a sale on something I need. They moved things around. But a little extra walking does a body good. Great friendly cashiers and guess what! Western Union and little Cafe right there !
Prices are good... place isnt welcoming. Has a mom and pop feel to it, but no mom and pop friendliness
I was able to get my two items and check out fast.
I really like the Brookshire Brothers I like they way it is sit up it has a nice bakery and i also saw that they put a coffee shop which i will have to try out soon. So excited.
Easy shopping, newly renovated. Also some great fried chicken.
Excellent. Like always. Great customer service
My review is for best friend chicken 👌❤
So nice to shop here now! Did a great job remodeling. Probably will not be going to HEB....
Remodel and looks great.
I use the pharmacy here and have been for several years. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I never have issues getting a prescription filled here. Sometimes, I grab groceries here as well. The store is clean and well stocked.
Chicken tenders from the deli = deliciousness!!!
Clean, well stocked, and best fried chicken!
Very clean and friendly employees chicken is the bomb
Love the small town feel of Brookshire Brothers just wish they were more competitive with there pricing. Service is always great.
Good little small town grocery store. Much easier to get in and out of then the big stores. Always have everything I need.
What can I say this place is very clean. The floors are clean The counters are clean The produce area is spotless. Very small simple little store. sometimes its nice just to go into an old school grocery store and buy what you need and leave. Hardly anybody around. I think there were about six other families in that store the same time we were there. Very quiet and safe atmosphere. But the only reason why I gave it four stars and not five was because of the prices. But the peace of mind of being one of the very few families in there was definitely a plus. I definitely recommend going here if you dont like the crowds at Walmart or HEB. This place is awesome!
Great store good get food try the deli
It was my first time there during the ice storm like the way they worked together so I know Ill go back when the weather gets better.
Great and friendly service and always have what I need in stock
Great neighborhood grocery store. Dont look for anything fancy though they have the best store baked lemon cake and fried chicken!
Excellent customer service and really clean and order place!!!
Cheap money orders. Good deli food.
Great local grocery store!
Great customer service skills.
Every employee walking around the store had their mask completely off or under their nose. There were a lot if them out in the aisles that day. Only the casheirs had their masks on and correctly positioned.
Great customer service, welcoming, Texas friendly and affordable prices 👍
At this location they run a little higher on their prices. Than other location of Brookshire brothers stores
Nice place. A grocery store that isnt always totally crowded and easily can go in and get a few things, and not wait in line. They open registers if they see more than two people waiting in line.
People who work there are quite friendly. Since the store has been rearranged it has gotten better and easier to find products.
Store was recently renovated. Friendly staff
They had everything I was looking for cashier was super friendly and the employees were very helpful when needing help with anything.
I am an employee. I can say that we have lots of regular customers.
The staff was friendly.
Clean and friendly staff. Priced a little high on some items, but often good deals.
Face lift for the ole brookshire brothers. Good to have a little grocery store in town.
Nice older local supermarket.
Best deli fried chicken.
Everything was so organized and clean
Always friendly service. I grew up in Katy when all we had was the original Brookshire Bros. They have my loyalty!
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are comparable to Randalls. With that being said, when they have a good sale they a have a very good sale.
Nice people
Great staff
I love the food in their kitchen. Pretty much the only reason I go. Everything else is just okay. Grocery items over priced most time. That even includes the store brand items. If you want quick bite to eat this the place everything else try at your own risk.
Best friend chicken in town! Friendly staff all over the place!
Best deli food around Katy area. Huge servings, and tasty.
Remodelled. Coffee bar. Pleasant staff.
Good selection. When you need to grab a few things. Great people that work there. Always enjoy the small town atmosphere that you get when you walk in.
Low prices and helpful staff
Place is amassing.. everytime I go is a warm welcome ... well I mean everytime I check out but either way is a pretty awesome place to grab some groceries 😊
This is my run in run out grocery store. I honestly can’t shop here for monthly household shopping due to the above average costs on all items, however this isn’t a large chain so the quality makes up for pricing. Sometimes I find it difficult to purchase certain produce at this location. If it’s in season, I would expect to find any item yet can’t and when they do come in, they’re outrageously expensive compared to any store any the area. The meat department is always bringing out fresh meats and the men in this department are extremely knowledgeable of type and cut on all products they sell.Cari and Lisa are two amazing ladies who work in the deli/restaurant area and they always have a hello and smile when I’ve come in. I enjoy their presence. The deli meats and cheeses are always fresh and sliced any way you want them. I must say, this Brookshire Bros. has outstanding burgers and fried chicken!! I highly recommend you trying these dishes. Fantastic!!
Meat displays were dirty and needed some organization. Staff members were not the best at helping find various items. Really enjoy the convenience of being close to home though.
Live their deli food and the people are so nice and very helpful! I eat there sometimes more than once a wk!
Everything is organized
Fair prices and great diversity of products
We have two big grocery stores and I go here, more than the other. The prices are fair. The quality is better. I been shopping at Brookshire Brothers, since I was a kid.
While i dont shop at the market as much as i used to, Brookshire brothers still holds one of my favorite Gem. The restaurant inside sells delicious cheeseburgers and fries and also had other deli style food you may enjoy. You can call ahead to if you want or just wait in the dining area.
Good downhome grocery store. Not too large not too small- the size they use to make them. Plenty of parking, eatery inside with locals eating breakfast. Dinged one star for their restroom. More akin to a truck stop than a grocery store. As for groceries- dont expect fancy here. You will find some country things you wont see at your HEB Plus.
They hire special needs. I was oh so blessed to wonder in and find out how rooted they were in the Katy community. I love this place. S/n the chicken strips are amazing
Nice staff. Good vibes only. ;)
Typical Brookshire Brothers with higher than average prices. I cant find parsley in stock often. This is my pets best staple food. I hate having to go to big chains to find it fresh, and in stock. I do like how they call for extra help when lines get long. This is a store that I can stop at if I need minimal items. If I need to buy groceries for the month, no way, too expensive for my budget and family size. On a side note, their deli/restaurant is always amazing. Delicious fried chicken and burgers!!
Nice store. Have never been to a Berkshire Bros. I liked it, a little pricey.
Brookshire Brothers is MORE EXPENSIVE than other grocery stores in the area, especially H-E-B. I would not use Btookshire Brothers as a primary store to buy groceries, but as a convenient store to buy a quick item. The staff was friendly but the facility looks old, choices are limited and the prices are 25-40% higher than H-E-B on mosr items.
I stopped in to get some lunch items for my daughters trip with her preschool for the next day, I went to the produce section and much of their apples and oranges were way over ripe, to the point they were bad! I never shop here for my weekly big shops because the prices are outrageous, which to an extent is understandable because it is a small chain business, but I only come here for quick stops when I only need one or two things. I always check the expiration dates on everything because there’s been a couple of times I’ve had to return items because they were already expired. Brookshire Brothers gives me that small town feel and I love that but I just wish the store was doing better overall.
Always a pleasure shopping at Brookshie Brothers ! Fast,in and out.Thwy dont hide their water or move them around too much. The closest thing that you can find to a good old fashioned Neighborhood Market with reasonable prices and wonderful sales.Today it was a Pork Butt for $1.00 a pound ! Hurray up so you dont miss it !
Good selection and competitive prices
Quick and convenient but a little pricey
Wonderful staff, safe location, and good selections. Theres prepared food you can pick up for lunch or dinner. Fresh local produce and dairy as well as the usual perishables and other grocery items.
Great customer service, the staff is very friendly.
Nice clean place and great staff
Very clean and very new.
This is a great neighborhood store. Prices are good. Pharmacy is handy. Very comfortable shopping experience. Ive shopped at Brookshire Brothers regularly for over twenty years.
First trip to Brookshire Brothers. Store was clean, prices were great and associates were friendly. Will definitely be back!
Wonderful home town feeling
Have you tried the Fried Chicken here dont forget some of them sides sometimes well all throw in on a 50-piece. Also be sure to check out their half slab of pork ribs already smothered in barbecue fresh out the other man oh man them are fall off the bone.
This grocer has a big “mom and pop” or small town feel although it’s right on the outskirts of blossoming Katy, Texas. Their prices are fair for not being a giant chain and the fries they used to sell in the deli section were the absolute best.
Great place.Criminals don’t take a holiday or get a day off. One must always remember that you can be the next victim. Preventing crime is often simple as realizing that it can happen to you and taking basic precautions to prevent it.The most important thing to know when coming here is to DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.IF YOU DO PEOPLE WILL BREAK INTO YOUR VEHICLE, and FIND WHERE YOU HID THEM.DONT BE STUPID AND THINK IT WONT HAPPEN TO YOU.ITS NOT IF......ITS A MATTER OF WHEN. And if you have left stuff in your vehicle, and nothing has happened yet. Then you have been very fortunate.** Dont be a victim.Dont bring cash, credit cards, social security cards,or anything you dont want to disappear.PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS and you should be fine.AGAIN if you FAIL TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE and your vehicle gets broken into, dont look for a Pity party for your own stupidity. Most of the property stolen is portable, or not affixed to the vehicle. Everything from GPS units, radar detectors, purses, briefcases, phones, money - you name it.Since most property is portable, most of the offenses are preventable. Heres how:TAKE your property with you when you leave your vehicle. For items with mounts (IE radar detectors and GPS units), remove the mounts also and take with you.Hint: Suction cup mounts will often leave a ring on the window. Thieves will look for this, and even if the GPS/Radar Detector (or whatever) isnt there, theyll break in and look around inside the vehicle. So, clean off those rings before leaving your vehicle.LOCK your vehicle. Sure, someone can break the window and get inside, but if youve left nothing visible inside, theres little incentive to do so. A (potential) thief will usually just move on to an easier target. If the vehicle is unlocked, however, a thief often will take a look inside. So, lock your vehicle when you park.Taking the following steps in protecting your property and to discourage would-be criminals from committing auto burglaries:Do not leave valuable items visible in your car.Close all windows and lock all doors before leaving your vehicle.Park in well-lit, heavily populated areas.Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, find another place to park.Avoid parking next to occupied vehicles.Be aware of your surroundings.Make a copy of your registration and insurance, and keep them in your wallet or purse. Then remove all forms of identification from your vehicle. Anyone with permission to drive your vehicle should also have a copy of the registration and insurance with them to furnish to the police if necessary.Do not leave garage door openers in parked vehicles.Take note of emergency/pay phones near where you have parked, in case you need to use them.If you see any suspicious activity or individuals, please contact the police immediately when you feel safe to do so by dialing 9-1-1 (from cell phones).Don’t think your dark tinted windows will hide your valuables. Excellent place!!! Great deals.
