The staff has never been mean the receptionist is a sweet old lady the optometrist is a sweet old man all the stuff theres very friendly and very patient Im willing to help you with whatever you need. Some of the lead times on their pairs of glasses look because of covid but thats out of their control. Ive never had a bad experience like some of these reviews are saying and Ive been going to them for 13 years.

This is the worst optical place ive ever been to, receptionist very rude,never a good answer when i called,sometimes she even hang up on me and leted me waiting on the phone. the optometrist not very professional, very rude too, i ordered the glasses since last november, and i got them until a week ago,and i got them with the wrong prescription exam and told him that i couldnt see very well with the glasses, and the optometrist got mad and told me that i need to get use to them.....Ill never go back to this place again and i ask the people not to go to this place...Go somewhere else please

I took my daughter for eye exam and we were told it was going to be around 4 weeks for her glasses to arrive. I called 4 weeks to check on them and thos old lady was incredible rude I was told that now it was gonna be 8 to 10 weeks for the glasses to arrived when I. Asked her why I was told something totally different when I first took my daughter she responded in a very rude way that it was all over the news. A courtesy called would it been great I told her my daughter cant go 10 weeks without her glasses her answer was nothing I can do and we cant cancel the glasses because we already place the order. Well if the lab is closed it means they are not making any glasses so it should be something that we can cancel. Horrible costumer service. I will never go there again. Stay away from this business.

Im very satisfied with the service that I have received as a patient here over the years. The doctor and staff are friendly and professional. I have never experienced anything close to what some of these others have. My glasses always fit correctly and I feel like any time I have a question the staff is helpful in finding the answer. Sometimes the waiting area is busy, but I dont think thats worth taking off a star.

I have been coming to Kent Valley Optical for over 10 years. I have always had great experience here. The staff is helpful and informative about products and my insurance. My glasses and contacts always fit correctly and my glasses are fitted when I pick them up.

One of the worst clinics and eye laboratories you can visit. Can you imagine that I waited for five months and did not receive the glasses and when communicating, the excuses are unreasonable. Either lost or broken or defective in manufacturing. The funny thing is that you can not return what you paid. So I advise not to go to it. It is simply a waste of money

I regret coming here for the second time. Very expensive, keep changing their prices and systems of how and what insurance pays. Then they quote you, but cant seem to recall the prices they gave you to begin with. The doctor is unprofessional. He seems to hate patients on Obama Care, but accepts it. Very strange. He embarrassed me in front of others as to how everything works, when I ended up being in the right. I recommend you go elsewhere. He does not deserve your business.

My daughter (5 years old at the time) failed two eye exams and was sent to this clinic to have her eyes checked. The provider said her eyes were fine and to recheck in 6 months. Fast forward my daughter starts kindergarten and starts complaining more about not being able to see the board. Fails the school eye exam again. We take her next day to another clinic and they diagnose her with bad astigmatism(20/200 vision) and the provider said she has had this her whole life. Our new provider doesnt understand how kent valley optical could have missed this.

Have been with them for ten years. My mom lost her glasses a while back and went there to check how the prescription from last year fit her. She was told to either buy glasses with them or leave. When she explained that they were losing a customer, they just said good bye. Dont go there if you have a choice. Incredibly terrible service.

They are okay. Staff is fine. Both years I went the doctor got my prescription wrong and I had to wait the additional 30 days or so to get new glasses and its not the most clean place.

The way this place makes me feel is not good. Something in my gut is telling me this is a sleazy place. Id rather not get into the specifics of my visit but it was overall a very demeaning experience. Staff is very assertive with being right on time, no one smiles except this other younger lady that works there and theyre very inconsistent!!I came in last week and other nicer lady was getting ready to give me my prescription she then exclaims Oh im getting ahead of myself, we need to do our trial run. Which im pretty sure is when they charged my insurance, for basically nothing. I then reschedule to come in next week. I see the optometrist, he does a quick brief exam using the machine and then brings me outside where he talks about my prescription and then bills me 120. I pay him and he said that i needed to come in next week to get my prescription.Had i have known i wouldnt be able to get my prescription immediately I would not have given them my money.In retrospect if I were to repeat that moment I wouldve told that man to squander off and to call me when he HAS my prescription. Now ill have to wait another week and who knows if theyll even call me, they already have my money. No refunds either, posted up everywhere- they must have issues with refunds im guessing. Blame the practice of this place, not the sysyem. You get what you give and this place gives very little in terms of a warm environment, caring services and most importantly your product- which I have YET to receive (1 month still no prescription).

Very dissatisfied... I was their customer for about 17 years. Came in yesterday to order my glasses, and after I have been sitting and waiting in the clinic for about 15 min, they told me to leave because they are closing for lunch. I just have to mention, they already had my prescription ready on their desk. I had my eye exam done couple weeks before . I just had to go shop around for frames, they do not have good frames. They returned my prescription and my frames back to me, and I found another eye clinic in Kent, were staff is friendly and treet their Customers good.

I found them from Google search and went there hoping to get my eyeglass frame (bent) fixed. I was not sure if they could when they asked me if I had gotten the eyeglass from them and I said no. They fixed it anyways. I asked how much I owed them and they said nothing. They cleaned the lenses also and had me try it on to make sure it was okay. I felt blessed by their kindness.

Was told that I would get glasses that had NO LINE Bifocals. When I went in to pick up my order when they were ready I was told I owed $173.95 when my receipt said I owed $97.00 I showed them my receipt where I had already paid $60 at the time of the initial appointment. I showed them my receipt and she walked away with it whispering to another employee and then she came back saying I owed $173.95. I had waited 25 minutes to get my glasses, then told I owed more than what my receipt showed.These people will UPSELL you on stuff you dont need, and I dont think they ever billed my insurance for the $100 deductible I had. Felt that they just want to get you in and promise you things you dont need and then over charge you!I would not recommend them to anyone!!When I went back in to ask for my original receipt- they mysteriously couldnt find it...Go figure!This experience was from a Friend- Im posting on his behalf.

I dont know whats up with all the bad reviews, i will only say what experience Ive had.Went to Kent Valley Optical 3 times in total. Two times for my kids and once for me last week. I had contact with three staff members there. The lady receptionist, the lady that writes you payment receipts amd meassures your frames, and lastly the gentleman that does the ocular procedures. I was polite to three of them I saw there those times I visited. Sitting lobby, Ive noticed some people come and go. Some visitors were what felt like angry at the world, some proud that thought too highly of themselves and felt like every knee should bow before them being rude with body and language and plain in all jackasses. Most were good calm visitors.My turn came up. We were politely greated by receptionist, had a little conversation, went on to the docture that did our procedure who was professional in his field of expertese who was also polite. Afterwards we were told to pick our frames and were then handed over to the lady that meassured our frames and wrote glasses notes and measurements and payments. Again, lady was polite and gave out a positive, warm, friendly feeling. We then said our goodbyes and headed on our way.Im commenting this review because the people that rated it with one stars deserve to be told this one quote i was told by my parents when i was a child. treat others in the manner that you want to be treatedWorks wonders.

I went to order glasses first week of april and now its mid june still my glasses are not in. Very horrible service they might be cheap but i can go to americas best and get them in a week and have 2 pairs. Ill never refer them to anyone thats for sure they need to speed up the system. And just because they come from Spokane isnt an excuse Spokane isnt that far away.

This place as the absolute worst customer service ever!!!! They are so rude! The company that makes the lenses made a few mistakes with our 3 glasses order....not a big deal but kent valley optical never reached out to me to tell me about or the extra time it would take. Then when i went to pick them up the main guy there says you know this isnt our fault and we only have one day a week to call customers. REALLY!? We sat there for 20 minites waiting to pickup our glasses while they took 3 other people back that came in after us. Save yourself a trip and find somewhere else this place is a joke and i cant believe they are still in business.

They good but not that good, I do use the DSHS insurance, but they dont have a lot options of frams that the insurance can cover, they have few bad quality frams that u can choose and they are not in new condition !

Dissatisfied customer indeed! I have always had an issue everytime I go there. Not only that, I get a very rude and unhelpful person nearly every time I call. When I broke my glasses and I had to get a new pair I was at work and couldnt make it until a half hour before they closed on a Friday. My daughters 2nd birthday was the very next day and I couldnt actually see it because they refused to see me even though Ive been a loyal customer for years. This time around I have done my contact fitting appointment and I am awaiting for my lenses to come in. I was told that I would get a phone call when they were in which they said would be 3 to 5 business days. This is the 9th business day and when I called yesterday I got an attitude that I didnt appreciate. Bad customer service. And very difficult!

Terrible experience, staff was very rude and the optomatrist lied in order to get our business. My fiancé was in the back getting fitted while I sat in the lobby. I overhear (which was not difficult) the receptionists talking to each other about my fiancé and how annoying she was on the phone. Let me preface by saying we were headed to Texas for a wedding and were desperate for corrective wear. My fiancé was calling around making sure that the vision center accepted our insurance and had trial contacts to walk out with. The receptionist was not happy that she had to answer my fiancés many irritating questions and didnt understand why people are too stupid to hear her the first time she says something. Needless to say I was blown away with the level of un proffesional behavior. Anyways, turns out they dont hold trail contacts! Which was one of the annoying questions my fiancé had. And when we said were going elsewhere the optomatrist said we would be charge for another exam out of pocket if we went elsewhere and that we should get them here. Turns out Walmart didnt charge us for the exam, we just had to buy the contacts. Im done, never going back. Hope you have a better experience.
