A lovely company - they do great sewing and craft courses, and the fabric/haberdashery shop is small but has lots of choice. I’m a member of the Sew Beautiful Things sewing club which is an online club with a new project each month. Been trained by both Claire and Maddison over the last few years, from my first weekend class to make a full circle dress, and then sewing jersey, to most recently learning to crochet during lockdown.

Had a lovely weekend here sewing. Claire is a lovely host/teacher and the facilities are excellent. In the current climate everything is clean and safe and I was tempted by the lovely fabrics in the shop too. Highly recommend

This is a lovely place to spend time in. Claire and the team are warm and friendly as well as knowledgeable. The space is pretty and nice to be in. Its great to meet others with the same interests. Overall, I highly recommend Beautiful Things.

I just received my very first project bag, with parrots on and I love it. However the tassel fell off as soon as I took out of the wrapping it came in, the ring that holds the tassel is much to flimsy for a tassel that size. It need to be a stronger ring.Thank you for your quick response, the tassel is fine and I have re attach it with a stronger ring, as its the little ring thats the problem. You need to use a stronger one, but thank you for your offer of a new tassel. Its all sorted I thought youd like to know the problem.

I love the classes at BTHQ, as you come away with a completed item. Claire makes the class fun whilst you learn so much. Its a fantastic place to meet lovely people who become such wonderful friends. I have learnt to crochet and it has given me the confidence to tackle more complicated patterns at home on my own. My favourite class was a crazy patchwork; making a fabulous bag which I use every day.

Just attended an Overlocker course with Pauline.Had a great time with like minded people.Learnt lots and came home with samples and information on using the overlocker. A brilliant course for using a machine that I was afraid of and now am happy to thread and stitch with.

So far at beautiful things I have done the getting to know your sewing machine class with Claire. Absolute brilliant class to do if you are like me and have never used a sewing machine before. I have gone from not having a clue and feeling nervous about touching my sewing machine to feeling at ease and very confident with it all now, its crazy how much you learn and how much of a confidence booster doing the lesson actually gives you.Also I have done the 3 week beginners class, again brilliant class and teacher, you go at your own pace,learn some skills you can use towards other projects. make some pretty cool projects each lesson, very friendly and comfy environment to work in.And also just done the learn to lover your overlocker class. Well what a class, their is soooooo much to know and learn I really thought I wouldnt be possible for me to get the hang of it,but again the class was very well planned and even going at my own pace I still managed to keep up with the lesson and learned a whole lot more than I thought I ever would.
