Got a phone message last night advising they would call me between 8 and 9:30 to advise of my 2 hour appointment window. Yep, no call, I had to call after 9:30 and was told the service guy was just walking in and he would call. 10:08 got a call advising me that my appt window was going to a 3 hour window, 2-5. instead of the 2 hour they told me last night. Here it is 5:40 and I have not had any call advising me of a delay or rescheduling. Great customer service. This is why everybody said don’t buy from Feiden, should have listened. Pretty pathetic that they can’t even call. The place is a joke. They really don’t have their act together even after all these years.Update 6:00 pm tech called and said he was sorry but he could be here in 10 minutes, no excuse why nobody bothered earlier to update us. … 6:20 he arrived …. Ronnie was awesome on a recent service call! Clear communication and fast, excellent service. We weren’t home and our garage door recently broke so the poor guy had to shimmy underneath the broken garage door to access our spare key and he fixed our ice maker in no time. Highly recommend and all the service people have been great!
I’ve been waiting for parts for two appliances, one of which I bought from Fiedman’s a Bertzonni stove another one is a hood. The stove cost over 10k and didn’t come converted to LP gas. I’ve been living with a broken hood for over a year (still waiting for parts) and a stove that doesn’t work for over two months. Absolutely unacceptable!!! and when I called and asked about anything to be done about those they just shrugged and said it wasn’t their fault and it’s the factories fault that the stove should’ve been converted. In my opinion if I buy a converted stove from a distributor it is their responsibility to make sure that the manufacturer did their job!
We had an unexpected issue with a new gas stove and Ronnie came out to take a look. He was very professional and efficient and got the job done with no issues. I appreciated his expertise and his candor regarding the issue with the stove. We would highly recommend Earl Feidan for any appliance repairs and Ronnie in particular is a great technician. So happy to have our oven working again!

We unexpectedly had to purchase a washing machine and after being told three weeks wait time from a big box store, Ray was able to help us purchase, deliver and install a new washer within three hours from the first time we spoke. Excellent sales and installation of a new oven. I bought a model that was in stock and so it was delivered within days. They took out my old, very heavy stove and put in the new one very quickly and efficiently and they were very careful about being sure not to damage anything in the house as they moved the old stove out and the new one in. All in all it was a terrific experience.
Daniel and Zelle, the 2 delivery gentlemen today, went above and beyond delivering my appliances to a second floor apartment. They were careful not to damage our newly constructed deck and were courteous and professional. Great job guys, thanks so much.

A disaster. From the beginning to the end. It is a local business that used to be the best. It is now a business with poor management. The installer burned a vinyl tile installing a new dishwasher. The dishwasher stopped working properly after using it twice. The new range hood fell partially down after 3 months. The manager would not return my calls. I had to go in person and track him down. He did an upgrade on the dishwasher and refunded my money for the first one. However, I had to used that money plus $386.00 more to replace the floor. Never Again!!! I had to go there in person 5 or 6 times to address the issues and he would not extend the courtesy of a return phone call. And...He told me it is very common for range hood to fall down. It happens often. Really?????

Recently Ive had to be in touch with the service department in Kingston mainly for Liebherr freezer issues. Carol handled my calls in a professional and personable manner and as efficiently as an overloaded repair schedule would allow. We successfully had an icemaker installed by Victor who was knowledgeable and took care of the issue for us. Then the freezer began to malfunction (its 14 years old and is the first repair weve needed in all that time) and Carol lined us up with a fabulous technician--Ronnie--whom I could tell was skilled, knowledgeable, courteous and utterly professional. After getting tech support from Liebherr, he had the problem solved in under an hour AND had the part he needed with him so there was no further delays. I am impressed!Thanks for all your tech support over the years!!
I have had a good experience with Earl B Feiden. I visited the Kingston location and was in and out quickly with what I needed. When I had an issue with my washing machine, the serviceman they sent, Alex, was on time and knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I appreciate the professionalism and will be making future appliance purchases from them!
Nice selection of appliances. But bad at maintenance and repair.When my washing machine recently showed an error, they basically mauled it, and said it required another part. They quoted me $100 over cost. When I didnt give them the go ahead, they dropped the cost to try and win me back. Thanks but no thanks.
Your typical local old-fashioned appliance store. By that I mean, nice people, and, if you are patient and manage to get them to help you, great service, at a price that is a bit higher than other places but you know, you support local stores and you feel good. But what happens is that they are not very professional, so their voice mails are full, and they dont answer the phones, and delivery dates are far in the future. So by the time you get through all that a couple of times the appliance you had been trying to buy has been sold to someone else and you spent hours re-trying them on the phone for nothing. Order online for savings, if you can spare the time, or go to a big box store, or buy a very expensive appliance from a manufacturer that can afford good direct service.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST!I dont even know where to start with this. I wanted to support a local business so I went ahead and bought a dishwasher from Rich. The dishwasher broke down pretty soon after they installed, they came out and said that it was an electrical issue, broke down again and again. The last time they couldnt accommodate fixing it in a timely manner so I went ahead and bought another dishwasher to replace the broken one, that was about $600. They took the old dishwasher in to once again to try and fix it, it has been sitting in there for close to a year. I have had to go in 5 times in person because at this point they see my name come up on their caller ID and will not answer my calls, they will not keep me updated. On the rare occassion they do pick up the phone they know it is me and sound like I just killed their favorite pet, the level of enthusiasm is non-existent. I called again and they are still waiting for yet another part. I will actively tell all of my friends to NEVER do any business with Earl B Feiden as they are not interested in doing good business. P.S. still waiting for my dishwasher.
They have a good selection of appliances, in stock, and were able to schedule a quick delivery of a new washer and dryer. I needed a follow-up adjustment to the washer which Alex easily and quickly took care of. Weve purchased two ovens as well, and they stand by what they sell.
I ordered from another dealer. Big mistake. Found these folks, spoke with a really nice gentleman Ray, ordered my appliance that the other guys didn’t have. They do. They were very nice and I should have my long-awaited appliance in two weeks! Highly recommend

Made an appt. for a repair three weeks ago- when I called to confirm time they said they werent sending anyone out. They were short handed. I honestly felt like they never intended to come. Rescheduled me for three weeks from now despite the fact that my dishwasher is no longer working at all. Stay tuned
Extremely disappointed in their lack of service. I brought in an appliance for repair and paid for the diagnostic fee in advance. My compact dryer sat in their shop for 6 days and no one bothered to even look at it. Apparently, it was low priority. Never again will I bother them or recommend them to anyone!!!
If I could I would give my repairman Ronnie 10 stars. He was very professional, very knowledgable and very personable and accomedating. He explained what the problem with my washing machine was and gave me good information on buying a new washing machine. He was very patient with an old broad like me.

Our old dishwasher broke so our landlord ordered us a new one from Fiedens. They came, and decided there needed to be a plumbing switch up that they wouldnt do, so it took 3 weeks to have that done and then when they came back they only put it in place, again, a plumber would have to do the hook-ups. Then we had our new dishwasher for three weeks before it starts reading an error code. Because Fiedens is very busy it takes three weeks to send someone over and then when they get here, they realize they need to order a specialized part that they dont have in stock, so we are now waiting another 2-3 weeks. All in all it has been a thoroughly miserable experience. We have spent months of time without a dishwasher and have received no effort on Fiedens part to make the situation better. It seems from the outside, that once they made the sale, they didnt have the time to make sure it worked or to try and help expedite the process in any way. They have also made multiple appointment times that people in my house scheduled around only to have the Fiedens representatives not show up, wasting our time.
Ronnie from Kingston location came to our home today because our oven was not functioning. He was professional, extremely patient and too the time to explain the problem to me and my wife. He offered several solutions to correct the issue. We highly recommend him

As has always been our experience with EBF, we received a call the evening before Victors arrival, confirming the appointment; received a follow up call the next morning informing us of the time of the visit; and he, like his fellow EBF repairmen, arrived on time. Victor was professional and delightful. He went straight to work and when he was done, he left the area in which he worked in an immaculate condition.I applaud EBF for the quality of the repair people who have performed work in our home, together with their staff who ensures our appointments are confirmed. Well, everyone at Earl B Feiden was really nice and helpful, eventhough the issue that we were having took three trips from service before it was resolved (I would have given a higher rating if it hadn’t taken so long to complete the repair). Our repair men, Brandon and Ronnie, were both very helpful and informative and comfortable to have in our home.

Happy with my 2 a/c GE units (pricy but worth it). They arranged contractor installation for me also. Contractor had to open the wall and frame it.Very professional and neat job. I recommend appliance store. Very convenient. Saved me time. The big box stores were useless.
Terrible service. Long story short, our family needed a repair on our laundry machine and what should have been a simple phone call and quick repair, turned out to be a waste of almost an entire week. The representatives were rude and were unable to provide adequate service. They told us that someone would be at our home between 1-3:30 on a Saturday, and then ended up saying that they were unable to come after all due to a long list of excuses and they were “unable to reach their employee” who was out on call.
Great overall satisfaction! In the past year, we have bought a washer, dryer, and a few months later, a dishwasher from this small, unassuming midtown Kingston business. We are THRILLED with all three purchases from start to finish! Months later we LOVE these appliances even more now that we see the quality! The sales staff is knowledgeable and low pressure...more interested in getting us matched with the best appliance for our needs than making higjest commission....the delivery and installation was spot on! We had a problem with the first delivery of the dishwasher due to a plumbing problem, but they were great about cancelling the order and waiting until we could fix the issue. When we went back to repurchase the appliance, they even helped us offset some of the cost for the plumber! Try getting that kind of service at a big box store! We wont go anywhere else to get our appliances ever again!

In June of 2019 EBF serviced our refrigerator. The EVAP sensor needed replaced. This took over a week. This past Monday (01-13-20) we scheduled an appointment to have our refrigerator, which is not working again, diagnosed. The soonest appointment was today (Friday 01-17-20) This is a long time to wait for a refrigerator to be simply... diagnosed. Particularly when our newborn requires fresh milk. The issue seems to be similarly symptomatic and I was told their previous repair was only warranted for 90 days. Getting to the point: I was told that a technician would arrive at our home between 2:00 and 4:00 today. So I took two hours off work to wait around. It wasnt until 6:20 when the tech called to confirm hes Not coming. And Maybe he can come tomorrow. this is my first review EVER. If someone shows up and fixes our issue, I would happily remove this review. Otherwise I cant recommend Earl B Fieden for those whom have places to be or schedules to adhere to. Or persons whom assume that work done will be warranted for more than 90 days.Update 02-13-2020: Earl B misdiagnosed the issue, ordered the wrong part, and we are STILL WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR. It has now been 31 DAYS since we first scheduled an appointment with Earl B Fieden.I have personally done all of the following up with Earl B and Liebherr (manufacturer). No one ever calls me back. I have wasted hours of my days doing their job. Youre better off using a big box store then attempting to support this small local operation.Again... This is my first review ever.
Cannot recommend more highly. Bought my first fancy oven from them and when I had a problem on THANKSGIVING Michael arrived and saved the day. Fast forward to 15 years later. Our churchs food pantry was expecting 1000 pounds of frozen meats and fish and our new freezer was making noise. Delivery was due Monday morning and could not be rescheduled. Michael came again ON SUNDAY and solved all. There was no charge and he is now known as St. Michael, Patron Saint of Appliances. Love this company. PS We use the Kingston one. Cannot vouch for others.
Horrendous. I bought locally because I wanted to support a local business. I bought expensive high end appliances. The $5000+ refrigerator came without a kick plate and I asked the deliverymen at the time of delivery to make sure it came. I subsequently called numerous times, and they kept telling me they would order it and call me when it arrived. It never came. Service told me it was a sales issue and sales told me it was a service issue. Now they tell me I have to pay $300 for it because its been too long, even though I had requested it many many times over YEARS.Separately, when my Viking oven needed repair, the second repairman that came to install the needed part literally did not know how to turn the oven on. He was a subcontractor. Since, the oven has been making a strange ping! sound. It also turned out that they had my credit card number on a piece of paper lying around with absolutely no security.In a third interaction, I had to call them for service of another refrigerator, the serviceman (who they charged me $90 for), told me he could not fix it, it would need a $400 systems analysis, plus whatever other parts and labor. Knowing this, I spent hours looking for a new fridge and almost bought one. It turned out the refrigerator had just been turned off. How could a repairman not have known this?
Bought a stove there..my free hook up ..conveniently got added to the price of my broken brand new stove...that they fixed and is still broken! ... bad customer service. ..sell you the world and get nothing... also kinda pricy $$$$$

I needed to repair my Bosch dishwasher, so I called Bosch and was told that Earl Feidens was the only authorized service place in my area. I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. They finally came to my house and allegedly fixed the dishwasher but about 1 month later I notice it was still leaking. By this time, the wood flooring under the machine had started to rot. I now had to wait another 3 weeks for an appointment. They came back and told me I needed a part from Bosch and they would let me know how much it would cost. I didnt hear from them so I called once a week for the next 3 weeks and they still had no answer for me. Ultimately, I bought a new dishwasher. They were unqualified, uncooperative, incompetent and didnt seem to care. This was the worst appliance repair experience I ever had.
As a contractor who recommends Appliances to our clients, we have had great success with Earl Feidens Kingston store. We make sure the client tells the sales person that they are a referral from our company and we give the customer questions to ask so the expectations are set properly as to who will do the install, etc.We have also been happy with the service department response - both at our clients houses as well as our own. Service is a big part of why we recommend people give them a tryStores can have bad days and people can be less than spectacular on any given day. For the past six years we have had no complaints.

I called to get a subzero freezer repaired - wasnt freezing. I also was in the market for two other kitchen appliances.They scheduled a visit a week later for freezer repair and to measure for the new appliances.Service guy says the freezer only needed an adjust of the thermostat.He does some measurements.He diagnoses a bad timer control in dishwasher but cant repair it because those parts are discontinued.So I pay for the hour work $118 assuming at least I have a working freezer now.No such luck. Checking the next morning, ice cubes are water. Before I can call them, the sales guy has called me - great news ... from those measurements, i can get a wall oven for $2300. When I bring up the non-repair, he simply transfers me to service. The service coordinator tells me Subzero usually takes a day or two to generate a new climate.So I wait a day. Still no ice. They never called me back to check on this repair
They kindly replaced a bosch dishwasher that didn’t work with a paykel Fischer two drawer dishwasher. Bradley was so wonderful to dear all with and the service men were kind and exacting. So happy with my purchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟💫😁😁🎉🎉
EARL B. FEIDEN TO THE RESCUE! Richard, the Manager(?), was a Godsend today for getting my elderly Mom a refrigerator when no other company had them in stock. They all order them from warehouses and have no idea whats in them. I called on Friday when Lowes cancelled Moms order and pushed it up a week (who can live without a refrig for a week?). She was so stressed out. Richard was extremely accommodating, soothing and checked his stock. My 2nd question to him was whether he could deliver it 50 mi. away. No problem! The delivery was done ahead of schedule on Saturday and both Mom and my daughter praised the work of both Copper and Austin who delivered and set up the refrig. We cant thank you all enough for what you did for Mom.

We renovated our kitchen several years ago and did a plethora of research and appliance shopping. When we finally decided which appliances to purchase (5 in all), Mike at Feidens matched the price of the big box store, delivered, installed. In the midst of last weeks heat wave our fridge stopped working. This time Mike assured me that if we needed to purchase a new fridge from him he would be sure to deliver a loner by the end of the day. Fortuneately we were able to repair the fridge but I really appreciated his offer. I would highly recommend this local merchant.
I have shopped at Feidens for years and have spent thousands of dollars for appliances with them. My recent experiences with them over the last month or so have left me very dissatisfied, however, and I dont expect to trade with them again. I have waited over 2 weeks for a service appointment to fix a broken washing machine -- they were to call me early this morning to tell me when they were coming. I received no call and when I FINALLY got a human being to talk to (put on hold, disconnected, it took AN HOUR to get someone who could give me information), I was told that they had no record of the appointment. This follows days of trying to reach their service department about another matter, with endless time spent holding, cut-off, no help in sight. I was told they are having problems with the phone system and that they are transferring information from one office to another. That is as may be -- but Im done.
I ordered 4 applainces from this store for my new house, and I found Feiden to be fairly easy to work with. The sales people were pretty knowledgeable, and my salesman always came to the phone to answer questions for me between the time I ordered and when the appliances were delivered. I would purchase from them again.
In October 2017 I purchased a Miele dishwasher from Earl B. Feiden in Kingston, NY. In or around three months later I received a phone call from them asking for my serial number. The gentleman explained that they had a mistake with their paperwork. He said the paperwork for my dishwasher and another one sold to another customer had been mixed up and thanked me for assisting him in resolving the issue.Fast forward to January 2019; My dishwasher failed to run and showed a fault code. I called Earl B. Feiden to schedule a service call. They told me that my dishwasher was still under warranty because it had been purchased in March 2018. I informed the woman that their paperwork was still mixed up and that my machine was no longer under warranty. They insisted and asked that I call Miele to get an authorization number for warranty service. I did, and a week later Feidens service technician came to my home with no parts and no way to repair my dishwasher.After waiting for about three weeks for parts to arrive and to schedule an appointment, their service technician visited my home a second time with some parts, one of which was incorrect, and failed to fix it. He left the drain hose clamp off and a week later I found the bottom of my cabinet wet and signs of water damage. When I called Feidens and asked to speak with someone about that, I was placed on a long hold and eventually, I gave up.Miele became wise to the warranty claim by Feidens and refused to pay for any more service visits. Feidens suggested that I pay for service from them, which had thus far proven to be worthless and resulted in damage to my cabinet. Doing so also meant Id have to do more business with a company that attempted to deceive the manufacturer. My other option was to go out and buy a new dishwasher. After spending more than $1500.00 on this one, that was not a welcome choice. Instead, I chose to write a very detailed letter to Miele describing the situation. Their choice was to make things right and sent a properly qualified technician to my home. He fixed the problem without issue. While doing so he noticed that Feidens technician had incorrectly reassembled my dishwasher. Miele repaired my dishwasher knowing it was out of warranty and did so free of charge, recognizing the unfortunate nature of the situation. Had Miele chosen to cancel their relationship with Earl B. Feiden instead of repairing my dishwasher, I would have also been pleased since no one else should ever have to deal with this much trouble over a dishwasher. Hopefully, Miele will reevaluate their relationship with Earl B. Feiden, but given that there is no other dealer in the area, I suspect they wont. In the meantime, this review will have to suffice.Beginning with the first call on 1/12/2019, I have recordings of every one of the numerous phone conversations I had with folks at Earl B. Feiden and Miele. I have fabricated nothing regarding my experience with them and can offer evidence. I will never do business with Earl B. Feiden again and I suggest you dont either.This review is not meant to reflect negatively on Miele. I found their dishwasher to be an extremely well-engineered piece of machinery. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Mieles customer service turned out to be exemplary. Consider a Miele Appliance, but dont buy it from Earl B. Feiden.
Repaired dishwasher in most effective and inexpensive way possible. The charge was reasonable.
I contacted Feidens for a service call and wish I never had. The first tech that came out was here no kidding 5 minutes and thats being kind. He did not look at my oven at all and barely looked at my stove and diagnosed the problem. He was not even out of my driveway and I was on the phone with the service manager. A second tech came out and said he fixed my stovetop and did a different diagnosis of my oven. Had the first tech done his job right we would have chose not to fix the unit at all but rather buy new. Instead we were into fixing it and paying over $700. After the tech left I again contacted the service manager because I never received a receipt and I was to say the least very unhappy for the cost. I was told it was common practice to not give a receipt and they would send one to me and refund my initial service charge as good faith. I got nothing. I called and again and asked for the store manager and was told I would get a call back, still nothing. I called again and spoke with a sales rep and was told that the service manager I had been corresponding with was actually not the service manager but the service manager in training. To this day after numerous calls I have yet to receive a receipt with the parts and labor and work description that was done or even a phone call back. I am so beyond angry and frustrated. What a poor way to do business and really tell me where do you go and not get a reciept? Stay away! 1 star is too much.
I have purchased appliances from this company for many years because they are local and I get service that is not available from box stores, even if it cost more. I bought a gas stove and a few years later there was a gas leak and the gas company shut off the whole house because there was not safety valve installed. I called Earl B. Fiedens and their service manager told me I had to wait over a week before they could come and repair my stove. When I told him we have not hot water etc. he said it was not his fault that we broke the stove. When I told him this was unacceptable he told me he didn’t care if we ever bought from him again.
Thanksgiving Day my oven decided not to work just as I was putting in a turkey. Called Feidens next day, Black Friday. Didnt have much hope of getting repair appt right away due to holiday, no prior experience with Feiden, but I had a turkey that needed to be cooked asap! Service tech called within 15 mins to confirm hed be here within 2 hrs, arrived as stated, fixed problem in about 1/2 hr--luckily had the part on the truck. Service doesnt get much better than that! Altho it was a little expensive I was happy to get it done quickly, same day service. Still worth it vs. replacing with new appliance. Thanks, Feidens, for saving my Thanksgiving dinner--a day late!

Prices a little high however great service
We went in there in spite of the poor reviews just to see what they had. We had no problem with them. We were greeted immediately, the sales guy was courteous and attentive. They must have been watching the grandkids that day because they were watching TV and there were a couple of pizza boxes there. Id much prefer to buy from a family than a big box chain. They have the same stuff as Home Depot or Lowes or even Amazon. A little more expensive but Id rather support the economy in my local area than who knows where.
It was the best experience....Our old top freezer refrigerator died. We decided to switch to a bottom freezer, but due to kitchen size restrictions, were unable to find one that would fit. (The bottom freezers are always taller, mysteriously!)We had given up when we called Feidens to order another top freezer refrigerator. Mike heard our problem, said to hang on, he thought he could find one....that same day he arrived with a bottom freezer refrigerator that fit perfectly. He & his partner installed it efficiently & quickly & loaded our old broken one on their truck. Friendly, funny, reliable. Weve been going back to Feidens for years & years. Theyve never let us down.
Have a great selection of appliances to look at and every knowledgeable sales people to support you. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for appliances.
I was very disappointed with the cost to repair my washing machine. After a call to the store and a written letter complaining that I had been mislead about the possible estimate of repair cost, I was called back and offered an apology and a partial credit. I did appreciate that!
Awful customer service. Simply terrible. I wouldnt recommend Feidens to anyone. Please do not use their service department. No malice intended here, they are just plain terrible at business.
Feiden Appliance are in the worst slummy neighborhood in Kingston, with a low-life, scummy attitude to match. I bought a washing machine and dryer from them. They acted like they could care less about you from the moment you walk through their door. After fifteen minutes, I had to go find a sales person. They acted like they were doing us a favor for spending top dollar on the washer wed bought. I figured it was an off-day for them and cautiously arranged for delivery. They sent some disgusting, rude, ex-con, tattood thugs to install it, who d left THEIR garbage, sandwich wrappers, and and empty soda cans all over my laundry room. They heavily scratched up both appliances during delivery, and the store totally refused responsibility. They had the worst attitude. One of the delivery guys scoffed at me when I politely asked them if they could pick up their garbage on the way out. They were slime, and I couldnt wait for them to leave my home. It felt like one of them was looking around, casing my house to rob later. They also installed the wrong hook ups for hot and cold water. These people are the WORST appliance store in the entire tri-county area. We had a much better experience with Home Depot when it came time to replace them.
I needed 2 stoves (I manage property for a not-for-profit). I went to Sears and spent 20 minutes waiting for a guy to stop gossiping with and old friend of his, while I carefully looked at their options. When gossip time was over he simply walked away, break time I guess. Needless to say I was livid.I drove immediately to Feidens, where they always see a new customer come in and come out to see if they can help. I bought a scratch and dent at a great price and a perfect 24 for a small space. They were delivered the next day, old broken stoves taken out.I have learned over the years that older appliances simply are not worth the cost of repair. Sears, as I remember, charged 200 (a few years back) just to come out and if they do not have the part, another 200 to come again and put it in.

This is the worst place in the world to buy an appliance. The service is horrible and when there is a problem you would be lucky to have them even return a phone call. When they do, do not expect them to come out and repair the damage even if your appliance is under warranty. When your appliance totally fails they will offer to come out for over a hundred bucks. This place is a total sham and if you are dumb enough to not do your homework, caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. Then get out of there as quick as you can because one of the slick salesmen will sell you a piece of junk in the blink of an eye. Okay you have been warned.
