Took my family and boys there to look at coins. They were excited to go. Entering the store did not get greeted. Looked at coins in the display for over 15 minutes and did not get any service or acknowledged for being in the store. Will find somewhere else to start my coin collection with my boys.

Been here a few times now to sell gold and silver. I did my due diligence on the prices and they gave at least 85 to 90% for collectible coins. They also offered a few dollars over market price for stock silver. Great place to buy and sell- I have also heard from friends that they give the best prices in all of Michigan, not to mention they are always polite and professional.

Overall great selection and generally great service. I was referred here by a buddy that used to frequent liberty and we started shopping here in their old location.Ive had great service and ok service, but never poor service.The reason Ive stopped going as much is that I just find that it seems the spread has really toppled in their favor, Im no longer feeling I walk away with a good price on either end. And while I acknowledge that they have inherent costs and that the market dictates a lot of their decision making process, I feel like theyve increased their margins faster than theyve increased their cost of doing business.Just wish they had that same drive towards serving the customer like they did in the old days.

Horrible place to sell, but a great place to buy coins. I took a few coins to different shops in the lower michigan area. Their offer at Liberty was less than half of the second lowest offer.So I would never sell coins, gold, or silver here!Now the coin selection for buying was awesome. Prices seemed fair and the gentleman that cashed me out was exceptionally professional.If youre also looking for outdated jewelry or need a ring for a not so special lady. They have a lot of that stuff too!Edit*In response to the additionally snobby comment by Liberty Coins Id like to say this: They offer scrap prices for coins, grade the said coin, then sell it for the collectable value. Now this is a common business plan. The issue is how arrogant theyre about it.As I simply stated buy coins here. Fair value is had on purchases because they pay bottom market value.Youd probably get an offer of scrap copper on your 1860 Indian head! So there is no way in heck Id give them more then a 2 star review.Humble yourselves(Liberty Coins), specifically if your making 6 figure purchases. No need to be a donkey to those who you think are Joe Smoe. You got all that money and cant come off a little cheese? #ProfitMargins

I sold old jewerly for the first time, and was very happy to find this place. The person who helped me was very nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Also, they paid $15 more than what other second hand shop quoted. I will come back here if I need to sell things again.

Purchased 2 SLQs online and was extremely satisfied with the quality and the speed of delivery. Ordered on Saturday Night and they arrived on Wednesday the same week. Coins were exactly as pictured and beautiful in real life. Awesome! Liberty coin will be my first stop online from now on when i have some extra dollars to spend on coins.

Ive been going to this location regularly and will continue to do so. Developed trust with the employees that this is the place to go. The wealth of knowledge is unmatched, many times I have leave with a better understanding of what I came in with. This is the only place I go, no one else will receive my business for this special market. In fact, stopped in two days ago and will do so again, today!

If you are under 18 you get 6 coins for free. They gave me good prices and I got a 1861 silver half dollar for 13 dollars overall amazing. Good service and amazing staff.

They always have the new releases from the US Mint and a ton of old stuff. I feel their buying prices are low but Im sure if think that of most places. Their sale process are usually right in line with book value or eBay prices so its nice to check their stock from time to time.

This place was a great. Before we donated my mothers jewelry we took the box to Liberty Coins for evaluating. Most of it was costume jewelry but a few were real. We were pleased with their services and expertise. They spent a lot of time with us and I would definitely use them again.

I had a very pleasant experience entering the store and was kindly greeted by the coin specialists however when I asked for help with the Magic the Gathering products I was met by a somewhat cold and seemingly disdainful employee who I was told specialized in the products. I asked him if they had a certain product for sale (prerelease kit) and he replied no in fact they had sold out. In turn I replied with a thats a bummer. He then went on to tell me that even if they had them he wouldnt sell it to me because he couldnt not. In turn I replied that must be something new WotC was doing. Then he tried to argue with me, insinuating I was wrong and it has always been like this. HOWEVER, my experience has always been after the event where these products are used the company will immediately sell them because they need to get rid of excess product. Stores in the past have done this and at least one store that I know of still does this. Just wanted to warn people about this fellow and let people know that this might not be the kind of place where you want to spend you money on magic products. I know I wont be coming back here for magic products.

This is my favorite store! I am amazed at the knowledge the employees have and are willing to share with you. I trust every purchase is a fair price and if you have to sell...they are the best around. I cant wait for my next trip!

We go there to get eagle scout coins the year they make and present it to them when they have their ceremony. Its a tradition that we have been doing for a very long time. Thanks Liberty Coin for carrying the coins that we present to our eagle scouts. We were a little worried today when we went in today to get a couple 2018 coins for a ceremony that is happening this weekend, but they had them. And this weekend two eagle scouts will be receiving them. Thanks again!

They are ok. Decent selection, and theyve always been pleasant. I think their prices are pretty high if you want to buy Silver eagles or bullion, and they will only give you spot price if you sell them Silver Eagles, which isnt cool imo. Other than that I still go there occasionally.

A recent visit with jewelry and prices seemed fair. Im biased by their advertising and self promoting. The items I took were quickly and conveniently assessed. Got a check. Im happy with the way it all went and interested in having a comparison somehow to know what to expect in any future visits.

Very fair prices and they sold me a couple gold coins in slabs for the same price as loose ones. They even gave my 2 year old 6 free foreign coins! Super impressed!

I brought in a good size bag full of random older coins. The gentleman who helped us was very young. I dont feel like he did his job properly, as she was able to divide the entire bag up in less than a minute without actually looking at any of the coins. He then offered us $9 after spending all of a minute looking through the coins. Im not saying he was wrong, but I felt he didnt even look into the coins in front of him.

Great place to go for selling jewelry, coins, or other precious items such as gold. Little to most peoples knowledge, Liberty Coin also deals in cards to an extent. The store is pretty well secured. So as a heads up you will need to wait for the staff to unlock the second set of doors as soon as you walk through the first.

Dont bother to sell them your coins unless all you want is the precious metals value. There are a few of the rarest coins for which youll get more, but still not anywhere near numismatic value.

Incredibly slow in processing. Expect 3 weeks turnaround if you pay by personal check. Their shipping rates completely eat up any savings you may get in the low PM premium over spot they use to entice you in the first place. Patrick Hellers newsletter is informative though.

While the gold and metals/coin and antique side of the shop i would NOT sell to or buy from.. Much rather work with Daves Coin Shop where he offers ~15-20% more $$ then liberty.. And sells at same % less.However..Matt over with the Magic MTG side,he however is amazing with his price offers and will dicker with you on buying some fantastic rares that he has. Specially some older class cards, graded, and or fetch lands.Definitely the place for magic. They also do tournament, unrevealings, and classic play.Great group to be part of if your into mtg.

Got travel checks before going to Europe in 2004 - was easy and friendly

They claim to be the biggest precious metal buyers in the area but dont even buy Rhodium Bars. At over 5,000$ an ounce and theyre not interested. Would avoid wasting your time with them.

My dad used to swear by this place, and so, I assumed that no matter what, they would be good for anything. I had a ring I wanted to sell, and the fellow told me how much their offer was (only the cost of metal). Although I understood the ring wasnt substantial in size, I had been offered more on Facebook, but felt uncomfortable with the buyer, so I didnt choose to sell it that way. Anyway, the employee of Liberty told me that their offer was certainly the largest I would get from a business. I was disappointed, but took the ring to Dicker and Deal where I was offered double. I havent come back to this buisness since then, just because I felt a bit frustrated. Hopefully others have had better experiences.

The best prices, friendly staff and players, and a super clean environment makes it the best place to play Magic in Lansing. It seems like a lot of Magic retailers try to get every dollar out of you but I have never felt that way with Liberty. They have great prize support and even give you a free pack of cards for coming out to FNM. They also give out 8 promo cards every Friday night. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a place to play Magic.

Unless youve done your research, or youve got a strong, no nonsense demeanor, the staff WILL try to rip you off. I took a few coins see what theyd be willing to pay, and the gentleman barely glanced at the coins then turned to his price guide book. For one coin that IS worth over 200 dollars, he offered 22 dollars. I will never use their service again, and I must warn others to not trust them.

I brought in many old Indian head pennies from the late 1800s and early 1900s and was offered around $15 for almost 40 coins. One of the coins i brought in is listed for $50 on their website and they only offered 30 cents for it. Never going here again, would not recommend

If you are going in to sell gold, PLEASE check the going price! I took in a piece of 14k gold weighing almost 2 grams yesterday and was CHEATED. The going rate is $41.69 per gram and the employee[his name isnt on the receipt] told me it was worth $31. $31 for a weight that should have brought $80 and change. I will NEVER go there again, and Ill make sure to tell all my friends & family.Shame on you, Liberty Coin.
