If you need reliable access look elsewhere. If it’s after hours and their system is broken you are just out of luck. No answer from the on call number listed on the sign and Uhual 800 number says they can’t assist only the local business can. So why even have after hours “support” if they can’t help.I should have known the 800 number couldnt help. Ive tried to call the store in the past and am sent to the corp call center who cant help with local storage.What would have happened if I had gotten in but then couldnt get out. (That has actually happened to me in the past during business hours.) Really there is no one that can open the gate!?Other issues have been autopay randomly being turned off on the account and then billed a $15 late fee. Last month the payment reminder email was disabled on the account and resulted in a $15 late fee. The third gate rarely if ever works.Update - spoke with someone from the store today. They said that someone had been giving out 24x7 access several years ago so they went through and removed it from everyone. She also said giving people 24x7 access is a security issue because people with 24x7 access retain access even AFTER leaving (they are essentially given the master code). But for an $10/mo she can add it to my account.We have always had 24x7 access. Im typically on call until 10pm so if I go, there is a high likely hood it is after 10pm. We have had several different units as well as trailer storage. When we had trailer storage we often came back late night or left very early mornings. I think one time we had an issue accessing after hours and they immediately fixed it. Now they want more money, offer no support, and say they have a security issue. No thanks. Ive already found another provider that is < $$$, includes 24x7 access, and actually has someone to assist 24x7.
Every now and then you have a great experience as a customer I just want to say these people were fantastic highly recommend
BEWARE! Make sure you take a photo with a timestamp when you return here. We returned the truck before the drop off time, and the front desk person said to leave the keys in the truck. We then were charged a $40 late fee for returning it 3 hours after our designated time. Luckily I took a photo to prove we had the truck returned in time and ended up with a full refund. Date of return was 6/17/2021 8:30 AM
They absolutely refuse to answer the phone. Tried multiple days. Waited over 20 minutes each time with no answer.
Absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had at a uhaul, the field manager was the only one there no one at the front desk hes out back cleaning a truck while we wait 20 minutes..rude as could possibly be, needs to find another profession.
Returned a trailer here, and then rented another from them. Both times the folks inside were polite, helpful, and very cheerful. Equipments in good repair, too.
I had a U-box that was shipped to this Lewisville from Illinois and I had an issue with the movers I hired through U-haul via moving help. The manager of this location (I believer her name is Tamesha) put me at such ease, recommended and booked reliable movers for me and from that moment, everything ran smoothly. Thanks so much!
I used U-Box services for a move, reserving 7 units. Tamesha, the general manager at this site, called me on Thanksgiving Day to confirm my needs as I had scheduled to pick up the next morning. That was unexpected.She provided her cell phone number to allow me to text her as I needed units and as I was approaching for storage. She was incredibly responsive and helpful, but was also clear about what she could not do (take receipt of a box near closing) and when she wasnt at work and I needed to contact a member of her staff.I was worried when I exceeded the 7 boxes and needed an additional one. She was able to add one but have it ship with the others.Receipt of the boxes on the other end was similarly service oriented as I showed understanding for demands by other customers on them and worked with them on my needs for picking up by boxes to unload them.Ive moved quite a bit. The U-Box service changes the build-up to a very large event in loading and shipping goods, and then another on the receipt and unloading to lower stress level efforts over a longer, controllable period. The size of the boxes allows for incremental addition when one isnt experienced in estimating shipping needs. I would certainly use the U-Box service again, and Tamesha has set a standard for service I think others will find hard to match.
I drove a fairly long distance to get propane at this location. I arrived at approximately 6:15. I rang the bell for service and waited about another ten minutes until finally an employee called out to me to ask if I needed propane. When I said yes, they informed me that the propane person had left at six. If your hours are until seven, your propane service is until seven.
Reserved a covered parking space for my RV through the UHaul website. I went to go move in and the lady at the counter said it wasnt available; that the unit was actually 12x8 not 12x45 as the website stated. She said it was a computer issue that allowed me to reserve it. I completely understand that as there are mistakes like that. The unfortunate part is she said she saw the reservation yesterday (Friday) and she told corporate to call me and let me know it was the wrong size. I never recieved a call. I reserved that spot on Monday and here it is Saturday and I was supposed to receive a call Friday night that there was an issue!? You knew it was an issue but never looked to make sure someone didnt reserve it or even call corporate to take it off? I hope all other services at this location are better then my experience.

Don’t waste your time with this place. I came in for propane fill. The guy at the counter said I need to go to the Denton store (15 miles away) because the guys that fill the propane are in the back and that it would take too long to get someone up to fill my tanks.

3rd attempt to get propane refill. Failed. Staff always treats propane customers with genuine disdain. Ignore the buzzer. When I went in met with silence. One guy working with customer is the only one certified. He has to finish and then go connect a trailer while another guy sits on his butt. 20 minutes later I left. This has been typical treatment there over the last 3 years.

Unit was wet from front to back on the right side. Office said sorry I hope you took out insurance. They gave me a pamphlet to make a claim. They noted it in file. So the advertising says clean and dry and rat free but not!
After a horrible experience at another U-haul location (I-35) we came here and had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming and got us taken care of. Ended up renting our storage unit here too because the staff took their time and didnt make us feel like we just had to rush in and out. Thank you!!
Everyone here was super helpful!! They held the stuff I was buying at the front. Helped me carry it out to my car, and helped me unload my car of all the boxes to try and make what I was getting from them fit. They went above and beyond and were apologizing for the difficulty when it was truly me at fault for not emptying my car so more stuff could fit. They make what can be a stressful event very easy to manage.
Tamesha Was extremely helpful. Although they weren’t able to accomplish what I needed, she went out of her way to call the other locations and find one close by that could help me out immediately. Excellent customer service

I was there on January 25, 2019. I wanted to rent a trailer. The sales-person was very incompetent, constantly coughing and refused me for rent and did not checking my credit card for reserving a trailer. The sales-person was female or male, I did not understand. The sales-person told me that there are no trailers available for me. I asked to search the presence of trailers in other branches. The sales-person replied that there were no other branches either. It was disgusting! I immediately realized that the sales-person did not want to look for a trailer for me and therefore I went to another branch in Lewisville too, where there were friendly sales-persons who quickly found a trailer for me.
Came in between 645-650 which is admittedly close to closing time, but I needed one tank of propane refilled and was told they’d already shut down the propane for the day. I understand coming in at closing time and being turned away but during business hours seems lazy especially considering the guy working sighed when I asked if he could fill it. Seemed more like he was just done for the day.
I rented a small moving truck for 3 hours and went 7 miles and they keep repeatedly charging my debit card for different random amounts so far adding up to $197 and customer service says theres nothing they can do about it...and they just ran my card AGAIN today...my 7 mile 3hour $20/Day truck rental was 6 weeks ago and they STILL keep running my card for random amounts !!!!!
Rang the bell to have propane tank filled. Waited 10 minutes no response. Went inside to ask for help. The lady behind the counter said didn’t hear the bell, and that the bearded gentleman kicked back talking to a man clearly not conducting business was the only person who could service the tank said “ I’ll be out the in a while boss”.. clearly unprofessional and I could tell by his tone he clearly had no interest in coming outside to service the tank. Waited another 10 minutes didn’t come outside. If you don’t want to fill propane tanks don’t advertise the fact to get your tanks filled here on your huge sign outside. I left with an empty tank like I arrived. Will have to find another filling station.
We have been loyal UHaul customers for 25 years. After our most recent experience, we will now take our business elsewhere. I specifically asked if tolls were covered under my agreement and was told they were at the time of rental. There are toll roads all over north Texas, so this is a very important question to ask. About a month after I returned the rental, I received notification I was to be charged for tolls. I disputed the charges and did not receive a response until AFTER they charged my credit card for them. In the future, I strongly suggest you train your staff to give customers correct information.
I had a very good experience with the GM Tamesha and her staff. We were moving to Georgia and they provided excellent customer service and assistance.
Unprofessional!Threaten to call the police if you keep the rental longer.They never answer the phone.Careful, they close early, and if you return w/o using the mobile app. this uhaul will charge you for an extra day.Review your cameras for the exact drop-off time, dont just guess!!!Answer your phone!!!

I needed to have a hitch installed on my pull RV. I called the store and Hitch Central 3 times and I was told to bring the RV to this location for a quote. So I went and pick my RV up from the storage and pulled it to this location. I was told by the local staff they do not install hitch on pull RVs. They should have told me this over the phone and it would have saved me two hours of my life and bunch of gas.
I recently purchased a new Weight Distribution Hitch and needed the trailer ball torqued down to 430 lbs of torque. Less than 5 mintues of work. I called and was very specific about what I needed and asked 1. If they could do that & 2. How much would it cost? The gentlemen on the phone checked and came back and said Just come in and well get it taken care of for you, I asked again, How much will it cost? he said, we are just going to take care of it for you. When I showed up, I got a propane tank filled and notified them I was the one who called about the hitch, then they told me I would need to pay for 1/2 a labor hour which would have been $45. I told them thats not what I was told (I was willing to pay something but not $45 for less than 5 mintues of work) and reminded them what they JUST told me over the phone, the guy I talked to on the phone said that was my bad and no compromise was offered. The MOD was sitting right there.
Employees are not trained properly - according to the assistant manager. This was the reason I was given when I inquired about a change being taken out of my account that wasnt supposed to be. The vehicle also had a lot of damage to it that wasnt marked and when we pointed it out to the employee he seemed irritated that we mentioned it and had him make a note of it. The vehicle was also very dirty in the cab - I have used uhaul for years for many cross country moves and I have never been so disappointed in them. I will never use this location again.... I will drive the extra couple of miles up the road to go to the other one!
A very good, thorough group. Helped me take care of a large trailer wiring problem and got it right the first time. Have been back, and would recommend them to friends.
Quick in and out. Installed a hitch on 2016 subaru forester, perfect job. I have rented from them 6 times, trucks trailers and storage.
Great location, has everything needed to move and at low prices! The boxes are stronger than I thought no tears!
Staff isnt the happiest, but the rental rates are always something to come for. The location is also fairly convenient to get to off I35.
This place is either under staffed or very poorly managed. Waited over 30 mins to get propane and no one ever showed up, no communication whatsoever. There were customers behind me that didnt even wait that long and left. Avoid if at all possible.
Had a very rude experience with one of the employees. Though about going in to complain to the manager about him, but decided to let it go. Couldnt believe it when the next time we went we found out that the very rude employee was actually the owner.
No idea why they rent car dollies since apparently the 2 trucks we had werent comparable. Cant haul a car but can haul a 30ft camper. Come on uhaul...
