I took my crown vic police interceptor there in bad shape and AAMCO was able to resolve all of the issues, they were very honest and professional. Ive taken my challenger there before and I absolutely trust them with my cars. 10/10 in terms of service, professionalism and extremely fast work. I went because my check engine light was on. The car was not running right. I called to make an appointment and they were very friendly and were able to take my car the next day. Rare to encounter a repair business that gives you the honest facts. The OEM dealer recommended hundreds of dollars worth of maintenance at my last scheduled warranty service. Took the car to AAMCO based on name recognition and reputation. I couldn’t be more pleased with the professionalism. Not only did I not need the services the dealer recommended, the courtesy inspection and test drive performed gives me peace of mind. Now that the dealer warranty has expired, I’ve found the right place to have my vehicle serviced and repaired.

My transmission went out, it slipped out of gear and wouldnt engage in any gear after that. I was stranded. I called AAMCO and the towed my truck to their shop. They called me with the diagnosis and gave me prices of things up front. They also informed me of the financial options they offer. Unfortunately for me and my situation I didnt qualify. So I was lost on how I was to pay them for the quality work they performed. Which was timely, they had it fixed in no time. Less than a week. Because of my situation they worked with me on me making payments. My truck ended up spending 5 months in their yard waiting for me to finish paying it off. They didnt charge me any extra fees for storage as long as I made payment on time each week, as part of our specific agreement. I would recommend AAMCO of Lexington Park for your auto needs. They are kind, understanding, patient and very professional. The work they perform is quality work and extremely timely. They well information you of everything in advance before the work starts. If something arises as they work, they will call and inform you to see what youd like to do before doing the work. I called about an issue I was having with my car door and they were able to take me the next day and line me up with someone who was experienced in working on my kind of car (Jeep wrangler) specifically. They were incredibly friendly, took my car right away, did a great job fixing it and gave me a great deal. Everyone at AAMCO Lexington Park has quite literally always been there for me. My alternator went out unexpectedly the day before Thanksgiving and an employee picked me up and towed my car to AAMCO after a quick phone call (and I was not even a previous customer!) My car was ready for pick up the day after Thanksgiving.Very unfortunately, my transmission completely blew out the day after Christmas and I had to have my car towed somewhere, so based on my previous experience I went to AAMCO in Lexington Park. Carl and his team worked with me to go over my options and also help me finance the ordeal since I was not prepared to have this issue (long story short). My car runs better now than it did when I bought it, and that is truly not an overstatement.My AC and Heat went out two days after I bought this car and I had taken it many places to be diagnosed with no avail. I just took it in this week during the pandemic since I am not driving around, and the team at Lexington Park was able to not only diagnose my AC and Heat issues successfully, but they also repaired it within 2 days.I am grateful to have a team nearby that cares about doing a job well and one that is willing to work with me at any time. I broke down near the Aamco in Lex Park and dropped in totally unannounced as I flailed with an overheated Lincoln LS. Despite the COVID -19 stuff all about, the staff took me in, set me up immediately and I left the car with them, right there. In a couple days I had my car back, with another issue I had in the hopper to fix, specifically a door latch intermittent failure. They ordered the parts and took care of both the issues. The car and door have run great since.I would definitely recommend this team. Professional, friendly, and trustworthy...they could have hosed me in my desperation, but they did not! Thank you!

Carl provided me sound advice and guided me to actually fixing the problem myself saving me both time and money. The dealership said I needed a cut clutch replacement, and that I had sludge in my 2014 car that has religiously had synthetic oil changes. Aamco looked into the codes and said that they where confusing and didnt make sense, they researched thoroughly and just reset it and only charged me a diagnostic fee. I went from 12000 bill at the dealer to honesty at Aamco.

We were convinced that our transmission needed replaced. We called this place because of the great reviews, and so glad that we did. Carl is awesome!! He said Lets look at it and see what we can find. They fixed it the same day that we took the car in to have diagnostics performed, so we didnt have to take car back for repairs. They could have said, yep needs a new transmission, but instead they were honest, and repaired the transmission. Great shop and very reasonable prices!!

Go here! They are super helpful! I was vacuuming my car out next door and ran down my battery (listening to my radio.. guilty). Called my roadside assistance and got heavy attitude from the lady on the phone so I figured I would see if the guys are AAMCO could help me instead. I own a collector car and had a mechanical emergency situation. I stopped by AAMCO in Lexington Park. They did not hesitate to get me in to repair my electrical problem (no headlights!). The employees are very experienced and knowledgeable. This was a great experience for me and I was happy to get the car repaired and on my way. The price was very reasonable and fair.

I use them for both my personal and work trucks. They do a great job and are really consistent.They consistently offer when possible, multiple solutions in varying prices. They have fixed everything from transfer case gears to computers etc. The owner is always reachable. They have never done any work without letting me know the price first.Unlike many places that use the guess system, and fix it one part at a time, they take the time to do the research and get it right the first time.

AAMCO took very good care of my current car, and the previous! On my 2001 Chevy I have now Carl and his team have done a great job on things from just an oil change to replacing the motor mounts! On my old 1995 Chevy I had Carl and the team replace the Transmission along with regular maintenance and never had a problem! Friendly staff and did great work on both of my cars!

My experience with AAMCO was very positive. They provided personalized customer service and were very knowledgeable about their job. From a customer service perspective, I appreciated the overall experience. So far, my transmission appears to be in great shape and good working order after AAMCO technicians disassembled and rebuilt it. The guy (Carl) had a major attitude when I wanted to look around for better prices. I called him literally 30-45 mins after the first call and he nonchalantly said “i can’t do it today now”. It was empty when I first stopped by. People need to understand that customers are always going to look for better and cheaper prices. It’s nothing to get your panties in a bunch over !

These guys are straight up awesome! I called them because of the good reviews and because of their hours and I hope you do too. Im from Maine so Ive seen plenty of friendly people but for a garage these guys take the cake (they didnt even knock me for being a Pats fan). They were able to take my car the same day I called and they got it back to me in two days just in time for the weekend. Turned out I had a brake issue and when I went to pick it up they said it really didnt take much work so they didnt even charge me! Now Ive got a noise and worry free car. If you are on travel and dont know where to go for car service, this is the place. If I lived here, this would easily be my go-to.

I just had another great experience with AAMCO located at 45870 Millstone Landing Road, Lexington Park MD. I called and the Manager and maybe the Owner (I’m not sure) answered my questions by telephone. I brought the car in and my problem was diagnosed. I gave authorization and by the end of the day all of my issues were solved. I think this is very important—I felt that what they charged me was more than reasonable. I called around to compare and I couldn’t get a straight or legitimate answer. This is my freakin Car! My car is my lifeline to earning a living. AAMCO thank you again. We were planning a family trip which was only a few weeks away, unfortunately, my wifes van stopped moving. The engine was running but it went nowhere. Of course, she was not in a great situation because she had our childrens sporting events and errands to run and I met with her at the street where the car was stuck. I found that the car only went into reverse and I parked it and called for a tow. Because of the late hour, I had it taken to AAMCO-Lexington Park. I was nervous because I was faced with the questions, do I replace the Van or get the Van fixed.The next morning, I received a telephone call and it was easy from there. They communicated with me and I felt more at ease. Once the transmission was inspected, I was given options. I appreciated that. More importantly, I felt like AAMCO cared about me and not just getting my business. I opted to get the rebuilt transmission and warranty. It was the smartest decision my wife and I made. Replacing our van would be a mistake. The price of the repair was more than fair but the way I was treated meant everything. Pat, Mike, and Carl you all were a real life-saver.Thank you AAMCO.

Came here to get my transmission fluid filled. The job was completed and everything is running fine. The issue is that the cost that youre quoted on the phone doesnt even come close to what itll be once they add their BS added fees to it.My car takes a special transmission fluid that is only sold in 5 gallon containers. I was prepared to pay the cost of the container in full ($380), but instead the guy charged a 20% fee ($76) to get the fluid shipped to them 30 miles away. The manager running the sale went on about how I gotta pay my guys with that money, youre not understanding.. All just nonsense he was telling me just to get an extra buck off someone when theyre stuck in a time sensitive situation. Then he mentioned there was an extra 10% specialty tools fee ($44, so thats not just added onto the $105 labor, thats for the entire cost of the fill) not shown that would be added to the already. In order to persuade me to go through with the purchase, the manager said hed try and get me a discount on the fluid cost. This ended up being a sham too because the only discount I got was $25 in store credit that I couldnt use, so it ended up being worthless to me.All in all, this place ended up charging me over $100 extra on a job that I half performed myself before bringing the car to them. The fact that they would take advantage of a situation where you need your car back to get to work and use it to get extra money out of you is not what I look for in a mechanic. Would recommend going elsewhere.In response to owner:(1) Not even sure why you included this as its irrelevant to what you had to do. The job was simple for you. An already drained trans that only needed to be filled.(2) Correct, already explained in my review. Every car has a specific fill process. Youre a transmission shop, you should know how to fill a transmission.(3) You recommended this not at the time of my phone quote, but at the time of putting money down for the fluid. If I had known about this when I called in the first place, I wouldve sourced my own fluid.(4) Correct, but that doesnt make it any better regarding the serious price difference.(5) So I get charged $45 for other peoples repairs? The only Miscellaneous supply you needed that was expendable was a crush washer. Industry standard doesnt mean what youre doing is right.

Ran by a bunch of stand up guys that stand behind their work. Several of my vehicles have passed through their bays over the years, one an for AC service, another for a transmission range sensor issue, and lastly yet another for a transmission rebuild. All of the repairs solved the vehicles issues. They have stood behind their warranty on the rebuilt transmission, they had to adjust the transmissions kickdown cable and replace a fitting free of charge.Alot of comments on the price; Good work isnt cheap and cheap work isnt good!

I was in town from Mississippi visiting friends when my vehicle had a serious torque convertor leak. I lived in the local area for many years and knew the shop from previous vehicle repairs I had there. The service itself was thorough and well done. The only issue upon leaving was that the check engine light was still lit. It cleared after the fifth or sixth traffic after I left the shop. The drive home went very well and the transmission shifted smoothly the entire trip. I have not had any problems since the repair and I hope for things to stay that way for a couple of years. I would highly recommend this shop for all your transmission repair needs

We are fairly new to the area and my husband got en email through work for a discounted price on an oil change. I took the car in for the oil change and they found that the front CV boot was ripped and it needed replaced. They were very accommodating since I had to leave the car there. The manager was very friendly and even showed me what was wrong with the car so I could see the problem. The price was fair to fix the problem. I will definitely return to this place for future repairs.

Carl and his crew took amazing care of me now 3 times. The first repair that was done was a total rebuild of my Scion’s manual trans. The car drive like new until one day the car got stuck in first gear. After spending thousands here I was mortified that something went wrong in the repair so I called them to see what they suggested. I had the car towed to them and they diagnosed a shifter cable failure unrelated to the trans work and fixed this quickly and for a very fair price. Unfortunately, the same problem started up again about 6 months later. After bringing it in, they diagnosed the shifter cable failure was due to the cable running right against the Header and melting it causing the failures. This is where the 5 stars come into play...they replaced the cable, fabricated a bracket to pull the cable off the header, heat wrapped the cable, and when I came in to pay with my card ready...they told me it was on the house. I can’t tell you how nicely they’ve treated me here, and I recommend these guys to anyone needing transmission services!!

Dont bring your vehicle here to have their highly trained techs misdiagnose and perform unnecessary repairs, then their exceptionally instructed customer relations oriented owner try to swindle and lure you to bring your vehicle back to charge for more repairs. They didnt even offer a refund or credit for the repairs that did nothing to fix my vehicle only offered a fair resolution if I came back.

Ive been consistently satisfied with JC and his teams service. I have a 10 year-old car, so the potential for major repairs or preventive work is always there. After attempting to work on my 95 Bronco, and failing miserably, i had my truck towed to their shop. they checked it out and fixed what i had broken. when that didnt get rid of all the symptoms i had mentioned to them when it was towed there, they kept at it until were able to diagnose and ultimately repair everything i brought it in for. for the work done, and done right, the price was great..more than fair!

It felt so good to take my car to people I can trust to give me an honest opinion about what needed work and what didnt. Carl and his team replaced both the front and back brakes, the water pump which was leaking and changed the oil. He told me the other repairs the dealer had recommended, which amounted to another $750, were unnecessary. Our Rav4 is eight years old, has been driven by 4 teenage drivers and still runs great. We towed the car to his shop and he fixed the problem (distributor) that same day. I had to leave town before the job was completed, and he drove the car back to the house and handed the keys to my mother. Never had customer service in that league before. They did a great job researching the best alternative to repair/replace the 6 speed manual transmission on my Acura TSX. After determining their was no available used/rebuilt transmissions, Carl, JC and the staff at AAMCO rebuilt the transmission with new parts. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AAMCO LEXINGTON PARK, MD LOCATION.REPEAT...DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AAMCO LEXINGTON PARK, MD LOCATION.Had my brakes replaced by AAMCO Lexington Park, MD a little over a year prior and only after approximately 22K miles, I experienced a rough grating metal-on-metal sound coming from the front drivers side. On the chance that the lifetime waranteed brake parts (not labor) would covered, I returned to have them look at it. The diagnosis...caliper locked up on drivers side and warranteed parts not covered. Pricing estimate for the fix was quoted at $400+ for just the drivers side and north of $600 for driver and passenger side caliper replacement, rotors turned and brake bleed.After only logging only 2 miles right after coming off the lift at AAMCO, the metal-on-metal sound became much louder than before the visit to AAMCO and the brakes became unusable to the point where I had to travel at very low speeds and shift down to slow my vehicle with very little pressure on the brakes.Very disatisfied with my Double A, M-C-O experience, I took the vehicle for a second look to First Choice Auto Repair in Charlotte Hall, MD.The diagnosis...caliper locked up on drivers side and a result of wrong prior brake pad installation. On my vehicle, there are specific inboard and outboard pads that must be installed correctly on each side. According to the top-notch and very honest crew at First Choice Auto Repair, the brake pads were wrongfully installed with both inboard pads on the drivers side and outboard pads installed on the passenger side instead of using one of each, and inboard and an outboard pad, respectively.Not wanting to immediately lay blame, I did some in-depth research and even contacted a certified mechanic at a local dealership for my car manufacturer to confirm the the parts and installation required for my make/model and was able to validate that each side must be installed with one of each, inboard and outboard pad. Even visited the certified mechanic on-site to show him the AAMCO-installed pads that were removed and it was further confirmed that the pads were unusually worn for the miles logged and that it was due to the wrongful prior installation - by AAMCO.Bottom line, seek out a good mom and pop garage (e.g. First Choice Auto Repair/Charlotte Hall or Marks Automotive/Lexington Park) instead of AAMCO Lexington Park. They are typical franchise wanna-be-mechanic knuckle draggers.REPEAT...DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO AAMCO LEXINGTON PARK, MD LOCATION.

I was extremely impressed with the customer service and work Aamco did on our Ford Escape. We are a military family and just transferred from the West Coast. We found trouble with our ABS on Sunday night and were able to call Aamco bright and early on Monday morning, James took my call and was very professional and informative from the beginning on the status and diagnostics. We are extremely happy with the work that was done and they have emailed and called to follow up with our family vehicle. It is always comforting to know that the place you take your vehicle for repair cares for the customers needs and safety. We will continue to use Aamco with our future needs, even just an oil change!
