Had a polished radiator from a 65 mustang with a small pin hole leak. They fixed and pressure tested in the same day and radiator still looks good! Price was great too. Thank you !

Brought my truck in for a simple oil leak. Had told them that the oil cooler line, and drain plug were leaking. They continued to fix a bunch of other things except what I needed. They also took 2 months to get it done! Definitely don’t recommend.

Took time to research and diagnose problem. Shared suggestions on repair plan. Very honest on all the times I have been here.

Worst experience. Took my truck in for a whirring noise it was making during acceleration. They had it for 10 days and every time I called they had some excuse for why they hadn’t worked on it yet. I was told I would be called with an update the next day multiple times and was never called. Finally went and picked it up and not only had it not been fixed but it sounded worse! On the bright side, they didn’t try to charge me anything.

The best mechanics!! Stu is so honest and fair. My kids even love going and waiting with me. Stu gives them money for a happy meal afterwards. AKA - a quarter and says tell your mom to get you a happy meal! Its a fun tradition.

These days it hard to find a good quality mechanic thats not going to over charge you an take advantage of you. This Is the shop for you! The owner Stu is a reliable Mastermind when it comes to any problem. He is always honest and NEVER does anything with out YOUR PERMISSION! Plus he is OLD so you know he can fix anything you throw his way for the cheapest price possible because thats how old people roll! I have brought to him ever car I have ever owned and am HIGHLY satisfied with their services.

This shop is honest and fair. I checked 5 different shops without mentioning any comparison and Hauns Automotive was not only the friendliest but they offered a very competitive price with top quality parts. They blew the dealer completely away. Great people, Great service, Great products, Fair prices. You wont get ripped off or be disappointed. By the way, they were not a recommendation, and I had no prior service with them.

THREE times in a row they have screwed up bad. I should have learned my lesson the first time, when I got stranded in the middle of nowhere because Hauns made a huge mistake on our transmission that should NOT have happened. I had bought a new transmission for my Honda that Hauns put in, and it lasted 3 weeks until it broke down. Well, come to find out, Hauns had put in the wrong transmission fluid which ruined it. The thing is, I went and bought the exact transmission fluid my car needed for Hauns to use, and they somehow managed to use a fluid that wasnt even for a Honda. I was out lots of money and a transmission because of a task that should have been SO simple. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, went back for a second time later on with a different car. The car needed work done, the problem never actually got fixed and had problems again 2 weeks later. The third time I brought in another car of mine and asked them to put in an new motor mount and light for my car to pass inspection. I had a tight budget, and only wanted them to fix what was needed for the car to pass. I asked them while they were at it to check EVERYTHING to make sure there was nothing major wrong with my car where it had been sitting for a long time. So they ended fixing everything BUT the motor mount and light. To top it off, 3 days later my steering was going out. I gave up and took my car into a dealership for repairs (which ended up being cheaper than Hauns,) and come to find out, there was a major water leak in the car affecting the power steering system. HOW did Hauns not catch that?? They were told to look for anything major. They didnt do their job at all. Honestly this place used to be really good, which is why I think there are still many good reviews. But something happened and they do a horrible job now. I will never go back. Not only do they screw up so much, they are over priced. Never again. I hope this long review can save someone from wasting lots of money like I did.

This is the most amazing mechanic shop ever. Stu is the man. Our car died right across the street from and we were really hoping we wouldnt get screwed over by the mechanic. They were so helpful and very honest. Everyone go here. I would even recommend this to my worst enemy because they are so wonderful.

These guys work hard and give you 100% honesty on what is going on with your car. They dont try to sell you on a billion other things. They focus at the problem at hand and then leave you details on a paper of things you might want to fix up. Love these guys.

When a company gives us a time estimate on when their service will be finished, I expect them to either hold to that time estimate, or have the decency to give us a call if plans change. This is probably the third time weve had to call within minutes before they close not knowing what was going on with our cars. There was a time when we waited for something that was supposed to take 20 minutes, and were there for almost 2 hours, and no one came out to inform us that it may take a lot longer than expected. This time, we dropped off a car 4 hours before the shop closed because we were told we could bring it in, and it would be a 3 hour job, but now it has to stay overnight because when we called, it sounded like the fix didnt even start getting done. When they do get the fixes done, its fine, but besides the fact that its super frustrating to not have it done in the time frame, its even worse when we dont get a call to let us know. We have to call in at the eleventh hour just to find out it hasnt even been worked on yet.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Helped in getting all my cars fixed and will always take my car there. Honest, caring and reliable and dependable. Will explain things and talk with you before any job is done and will be honest and upfront with you.

I went in the other day to get Safety and Emissions checked. The experience was quite pleasant. I was actually able to be in the shop next to my car while the whole thing happened. I trust this place and highly recommend it!

Excellent service. Loved the entertainment value of the desk area. Some of those signs and posters are classic! Mr. Haun got our work done quickly and fairly (we werent sure what the problem was and it was a pricey car that could have cost a bunch!) and we were on the road, with inspection/emission in a day. Could not have been happier. We will be back and will recommend to our friends. as well.

We have had these guys do a couple of repairs for us now. My husband generally does his own work, but when the job requires tools or space we dont have, Hauns has also done an excellent, and more importantly honest job.

Dont know how to work a machine and figure out the in first place. Then didnt even finish a 10 minute job. What a ripoff. 115 dollar just look at it and did nothing about the problem. Its their job to see the problem and fix it. Still didnt fix it and told me to go so they can be somewhere else.

Lets face it. Nobody wants to spend their money on car repairs. But, when you need to, you want someone you can depend on.I first visited Hauns about twenty years ago, after a recommendation from a neighbor. They were practically all alone in their area. I drive down the hill from Orem, and dropped my car of for repairs. I then walked almost a mile past the empty valley to the nearest bus stop, next to the chevron station at 700 N. It was worth it. They took care of me and got new car working properly with a new radiator. The only up sale was because the old radiator was so bad they couldnt clean it out, so they sold me a new one. It was $15 more than than they were going to charge me to clean out the old one. Thats practically the same price, but I got a brand new part.Since then the area had grown and is now full of businesses. Hauns hasnt changed. Ive had them do several repairs for me. Theyve always been fair, honest, and up front with their work. I can depend on them to treat me right and take care of my car. You can, too.

I asked what was happening after I left it there for two days and they couldnt tell me. Id call and they wouldnt call back. Wasted money and time. Took it to a different shop and they told me what was wrong in literally three min. This place is horrible.

I took a small specialized radiator out of an irrigation pump to them. I needed it back same day so the landscape water could be turned back on due to 100 degree temps at the time. They had it done in a couple hour. great job guys!

We had our cooling fan recently replaced at this repair facility. After less than a month, the fan would stay engaged after the engine was off and eventually draining the battery charge. When I had another mechanic look at the car before I took it back in, he noticed that the fan relays were improperly installed on the fan housing with tie straps. Also, when he wiggled the relays with the car off, the fan turned off. He highly suspected that the relays being incorrectly installed was the most likely cause of the fan staying engaged after the car was off and draining your battery. When I returned the car to Hauns Automotive repair, I informed them of my concern of the relays being improperly installed. This is when the mechanic stated the relay housing fell apart on the old fan assembly. He also stated that when he installed the new fan assembly, the fan relay housing was not on the new/replacement one and that is why he used tie straps to secure the relays. I requested that the car be repaired in the same fashion that was before the repair with the relays being properly secured. Hauns response was that we do this all time when a part does not match the removed part. Getting charged nearly $450 for the repair, it should be like the factory set-up much as possible or at the least safe and operational. I asked that we discuss a plan that would make both of us happy and Hauns was very rude, demeaning, yelling, and demand that he would only repair it again with a fan that had match the previous one—he was able to locate one that matched my old one—by me paying for the price of the part plus labor again. It is awful that his only intent was to be right and not have a happy customer. To make it right that was not my mistake should have been the price delta in the part and they install it again since it was not done correctly the first time. Especially, knowing that they had to do what I call a “backyard” mechanic move. Boasting about his years of experience and having this type of repair leave his shop would be very embarrassing. He has no concern of us being stranded because of this issue, not wanting to make it right, and wanting me to pay for their mistake. As for the car, I was able to get repaired for less than $25, which got the relays properly secured.

You can trust Stu. He does good work and is straight up about what it will take to fix your car.I see what has been called abruptness as genuineness and caring.

We had an explorer that we would often take in for repairs. For example, we had trouble with the power steering. We would take the explorer in and they would fix it, but the problem would return two weeks or so later. The last time we took the explorer to them, it sat there for two days and they didnt do any work on it. So glad we stopped going to them.

Awful service, the guys who work there just kinda swear and mosy along, they dont even really care if youre waiting on them or not. Theyre rude and crass. I had a problem with my clutch, it completely gave out, and they charged me a ton to do it.The waiting room is nasty, unkept, and dusty. I paid them promptly and went my way, not 50 yards out of the damn place and my entire car started shaking, including my transmission, which was vibrating at a really extreme range and pace. I brought it back to the mechanics and one of their guys literally got in the car with me, drove a few blocks, and saw/felt the vibrations. He came back, said there was an issue to the guy I can only assume was the owner, who then proceeded to tell me there was going to be an even larger charge to fix THAT. The problem was definitely not there before and they were definitely responsible for it, but none of them fessed up to seeing an issue EVEN WHEN one of their own guys assured me there was a problem. I dont have to money now to pay for ANOTHER repair on a well kept car, which they caused the damage on. And they wont fess up to it. Absolutely ridiculous, I wouldnt recommend an enemy to this for fear that they may die.

Paid for a AC compressor and Freon. Then last only two days until my AC Pump started smoking. Couldnt get my 125 dollar refund. Cheap and lazy workers.
